Cache has gone missing, am in process of build a new hide and will have back in area soon
So we probably should have guessed from the title.... but we got it! Really clever hide!
All was quiet when we arrived at this location which made for an easy search. Reasonably accurate coordinates and a cache hide that we have seen a number of times previously led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Cliff5009 for the cache.
Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 12th of 13 finds for the day, and the 82nd of 242 finds for the trip.
After knocking off work I stopped off for a few caches on my way back to the Essendon apartment, then headed over to Pascoe Vale and Glenroy for a few more finds to add to the day's tally.
Next stop was for this one, and a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced the nicely camoed cache container as it had been found. Unfortunately someone has dumped a large mattress right on GZ, making the place look a bit untidy. TFTC Cliff5009.

I had an expected job that brought me to the area today so why not grab a cache or two while I was here. Only problem when I left home I wasn't expecting to be out of the car for any length of time so I wasn't wearing a jumper or jacket. This made the time finding the cache a little uncomfortable with the biting wind cutting through me like I knife I searched the area that looks like it needs a good CITO at the moments. Once my GPS finally settled down I finally spotted my prize.
Thank you Cliff5009 for the hide
Thank you Cliff5009 for the hide
Found at about 5.30am on our way to the airport. We were a bit too organised and had some time to kill before we headed to our airport parking. A fairly quick find once we navigated our way to GZ in the dark. Found with neisha07. TFTC
Out with xambo4u, we were chasing shadows, fingerprints and footprints with extras along the way. Very well hidden, fortunately not where we thought it may be to start. Thanks Cliff5009
Out and about with echidna44 for another enjoy day of caching with a new challenge in mind. Its to catch a jewel thief. Having done some prep on what we needed it we are now on their track. Parked and had a short walk. We were in luck as there were not to many using the skate facilities today. cache is placed well and excellent camo. Thanks for the cache Cliff5009
Sadly this cache has succumbed to rain damage and will be repaired today should be back by start of long weekend
Found @12:15 after finding Leave No Trace. Very quiet on a Tuesday afternoon, but there were a couple of council workers having smoko that I had to be aware of. Again, great camo! TFTC!
Container had some water inside. The log book was dampish but definitely not wet - C/O might need to check on this before winter really sets in.
Yet another great cache container so well planned an implemented - tool stealth and patience to retrieve the logbook, signed and eventually returned as this are sure was busy everywhere. Never seen so many yellow golf balls over the fence!! Nice sunny morning for all sports and hobbies!

After a wonderful time at the Glenroy Festival, we went hunting for a cache or two. Our geo granddaughter enjoyed the challenge as did we. Tftc
A nice quick find, avoiding the muggles on this Sunday afternoon.
Luckily it’s cold or there would be more kids out here.
We were serenaded with background music by the nearby golf club.

How clever!! We tried once before and it was a warm summers night and the place was crowded with skaters and families picnicking. Total opposite tonight dark cool and deserted. Bunadoorian and I needed a cache to keep our streak going. This was a great one to pick. TFTC Cliff5009
Back in a cooler climate after a cacheing holiday in Darwin. We had been here previously but needed a less busy time. It was a bit dark but muggle free and after 1 diversion we found a cleverly designed and constructed cache. TFTC.
Out on a warm summer evening Bunadoorian and I went in search of a few caches. I knew this park area from the football season so I knew roughly where this area was - now to find the cache. Must say a lot of tonight's caches were very clever. We think we eyed it but the skate park was very busy tonight - so will have to come back another time. TFTC Cliff5009
Younger member of FNG out with her grandfather, checking some caches in Melbourne, had some finds on the day. This was number 1. Thanks for the bike ride and the cache!
On arrival I thought, nah, too many skaters. Sat in the car thinking will l or won’t I ? Well I did and wasn’t even noticed by the skaters. SL
Thanks again Cliff for another original creation.

Avoided a young family enjoying the facility, but needed to wait for their curiosity to expire, great hide, T4TC
When I arrived it seemed a bit impossible with lots of skaters around, but I went to have a look. Lo and behold the cache was out of sight of the skaters, and I made a quick find, signature and replacement before anyone had a chance to see me.
A sneaky little hide but with no one yet on the skate park and just a few golfers in the distance I could search in peace.
Thanks
Thanks
17:45, September 12, 2018, #925, out with cliff5009 doing a few in this area. Watching a kid with his drone following his mate on the skate board. Thanks . TFTC.
TFTC wasn’t expecting to find caches unfortunately I wasn’t carrying a pen so couldn’t sign.
Thanks Cliff5009, again a great cache, a few muggles around but they had no idea what I was up too, until I found it neither did I.

Caches like these is when I miss having a companion, a couple royally walking to this cache is less conspicuous than a lone male in a skate park, kids were arriving just as I left, luckily I found it quickly.
Nice hide,,out with geokids,,, they would like to come back and try skate park..nice little spot
Checked cache today, little bit of cache creep but replaced where it should be again
An early start to the day and thought this would make it easy. Coords were spot on and soon had the cache signed and returned. Impressive skate park that we didn't know had replaced the golf driving range. Thanks.

Loved the hide so you can have a favourite from me.

Luckily no one skating while I was here today. Some of those basin things look terrifying so I might come back one day and see how the “young ones “ do it
Loved the hide and it gets a favourite from me. Even picked up a few golf balls on my walk.

Out for a bit of a walk after work to alleviate the stress of the day, rain hail or shine, a geocachers work is never done... [
And it looks like a great skate park too, if only it had been around when I was skate boarding, 45 years ago...
**Thanks for placing this cache Cliff5009**

Found while walking the geodog from "Leave No Trace", and while keeping an eye out for the 4-5 skaters using the park. Nicely done, and worth a fave point.

On my way home from work and needed a find today to fill in another "Find By Date". A nice easy find with great camo. 3rd place for me, with this new cache. It's 5am in the morning and muggle free, but at certain times this place could be very mugglie. Great skate park. Good to see a cache in this part of the city, were caches are few in number.
Thanks **Cliff5009**

Was up finishing some work when I glanced at my phone and saw that a new cache had been published about half an hour before. Too late to leave and someone's probably already there I thought but then it was so close to home that I thought I just had to give it a go.
So I braved the cold air and headed off to the nearby hide. I lived even closer to this spot than I do now for a little while but I hadn't seen the skate park before. I almost saw it very closely when I almost toppled into the massive skating hole while trying to navigate in the dark as well. Having recovered from that fright I then gave one of my own to nirgalagrin when having thought he'd heard my approach called out to see how he'd gone.
Another creative effort on the hide here Cliff5009 and always nice to meet another cacher in the field, even if they did pip me at the post. I spent longer at gz chatting with Nirgalagrin than it took me to get there and back so all in all an enjoyable evening. Thanks for the cache.

With the rest of the family off to bed, I took a quick glance at my email. Then grabbed phone, GPSr and keys to the nearest car.
Let's just say no navigation was really necessary to get to the vicinity of this one. Now the burning question: was I alone? No cars parked right there, and I couldn't see any flashes of light where the needle indicated, so by this point I was quietly confident.
Fortunately, the container wasn't hard to spot, as no sooner had I unrolled the paper to see that blankness to confirm that I had indeed snaffled **FTF** #36, signed my name, put everything back, turned off the torch and turned back towards the car when "So how'd you go?" came out of nowhere and scared the carp out of me.
Lovely to meet you and have a chat at last, Jarwillo. And thanks for the short adventure, Cliff5009. I promise not to disturb you on the way home.
