Nice quick walk to this one, but it was drowning in purple liquid and GG1 had another container and a dry logbook.
After a tough morning walk, Muggle65 and l were quite happy to park very close to this one. Easy walk to GZ.
Unfortunately this one was very wet. The water that we poured out was purple. I guess the stamps were mainly blue and red.
Put a camo pee jar with waterproof log and a stamp in place. Covered with retired container to completely keep weather out. 70ml container so micro now.
Thank you for the fun

Went for a wander on a day off to pick up some caches, slowly making progress on this series.
Thanks for keeping this series alive DARKSIDEDAN

Another Vampire Series cache completed. Signed and replaced as found.

Found on the way back to the car (parked near #16) from the series to the west of Smiths Rd. After leaving #60 I walked back up to the road and along it for a bit, leaving near #14 to head bush. In retrospect although this was the direct approach, it wasn't the easiest with sections of prickly scrub and several small gullies to negotiate.
Nonetheless after eventually arriving at GZ this cache was a quick find, and in very good condition. From here I walked in a generally south then south-west direction along the ridge back to the car (this would have been a much easier approach, too).
A very enjoyable walk around this collection of caches - thanks DSD!

It’s always feast or famine with letterbox stamps; this one is an absolute banquet. Thanks for placing!
As my destination in Namadgi was still off limits, made my way to this one for a needed letterbox. After negotiating the fence this was a very pleasant short walk to GZ where the cache was quickly found. All in good condition and TFTC DSD
It doesn't look like anybody has been here for nearly a year. I don;t know why, it was a nice gentle stroll to the GZ for a quick find. Not a spiky bush in sight. Or, at least, not many. This was my final cache for the day - had to I dash back to the car to get to school pickup in Woden by 1500 hours. I made it too! Although possibly looked a bit worse for wear. TFTC DSD.
It was an early morning start to the day, kids sport commitments I had to be back for soon after midday i.e chauffeuring duties. Sunny and a little breezy, light scrub and mostly clear trails making for a nice bushwalk (as opposed to a hike). A decent number of Vampire series still yet to be found, it was a good result with 23 from 23. Caches for the most part were in good condition, though a few soon or already in need of some CO lovin’. Turns out I wasn’t the only one out this way today, but I had already left by the time they started.
Apologies for the generic log, any specific details added at the end.

Found with nissan 65 on a few days caching in Canberra. We headed up last night after work and stayed at our usual over night spot in Goulburn before heading out this way. Thankyou to all cache owners for placing these for our enjoyment
A cold, but good day finding some of the Vampire series. All caches found OK and in good condition. Grabbed this one on the way back as it looked a bit out of the way of the remaining loops.
Thanks,
Thanks,
12th find while out with Goldenwattle and Decrypter. After finding a nearby traditional we walked to GZ where we soon had CIH. All our cuts and scratches from our previous finds had stopped bleeding by now, so we were unable to sign in blood. We signed the log anyway. TFTC.
This was not a planned cache for today and so I left my letter box stamp at home . Trofibrinogen signed the log for Decryptoglobin and myself...Goldenserum. After this, it was off home, before the vampires come out to play and sup. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
A nice easy find. I wrote a letter to the vampire and stamped it with a cricket sticker for Zimbabwe. Then it was an easy walk back to the car which was parked next to number 14 in the vampire series. TFTC
Have been wanting to get my Buffy Vampire Slayer on for some time on and slay me some of the two fanged blood suckers. Finally, the stars aligned, and the day arrived. Dam it was too cold for my Buffy Outfit so it was on with the caching pants and puffer jacket – my other fav outfit with added garlic vampire extinguishing accouchements. StrangeTrousers skidded sideways into my driveway for the pick up on our way to gather mtrax whilst daylight was with us. Then onwards to the country and adventures.
The caching was great and views stunning as were some of the vertical trampling up and down hillsides. Loved every minute of it and am very grateful the gallant guys for me not leaving on the side of a hill as I slowly walked up them. Thankful that I was not doing it in Buffy boots and a short skirt – freezing. This series is so worth it for the views it gives, most importantly caches and that we got out alive with no fang marks in our necks. We were not able to get them all as it was a challenging course in some crisp and windy weather. Hope to be back with more salt to throw down for the vampires to count every grain when needed to escape.

#4364 6th for today
A chilly days caching out past the Thawa sandwash, and it was not just the wind that sent a chill through our hearts. This is vampire territory and so the three of us: mtrax, CBRChic and myself came to stake our claim in the chests of the undead infesting these parts. We were well protected with garlic, crucifixes, holy water, silver bullets (although I argued that was for werewolves) and, of course, stakes and hammers. CBRChic kept tossing salt as she has a theory that vampires are OCD and were compelled to count every spilled grain. It seemed to work as we were not attacked today.
It wasn't an easy walk in this undulating territory and the cold, biting wind did little to raise our spirits, but it was a productive days caching. We will need to return in less oppressive weather to rid this area of the scourge.
Thanks also to the COs: DARKSIDEDAN.

Heading down Namadji way to find some of the Vampire series, It was a day with mixed weather, some sun, rain and wind, but had a great day out with CBRChick and StrangeTrousers.
thanks DARKSIDEDAN.

My lady is at work and her kids are at school. I’ve got an hour or two caching, before I go to collect them all for the kids’ gym sessions. I’ve decided to go postal today, and collect some letterbox caches. I lost a bit of my walking time by forgetting that the Tharwa Bridge was closed to traffic. What a drongo. I’ve left all the GeoHounds at home because of the water catchment, so I’m by myself. As it turned out, I’m running out of time, but I’m determined to get one letterbox today.
I pulled up near the track into the other Vampire series letterboxes, with a reasonably clear sight line towards GZ. Through the fence, and the dead burr weeds, into the shallow gully, up the other side. Followed my trusty GPSr to GZ, where, even though lacking garlic (except on my breath), crucifixes, and even silver bullets, I was untroubled by vampires. I was also untroubled in cache-finding. I’m disappointed. I still haven’t met a vampire. Great cache. Thanks, DDS. Enjoyed the drive and the walk.
I’ve been reading your logs. I’ve found out about the Author Badge for getting an average one hundred words per log. I usually do decentish logs (in size anyway), so I looked up my stats and found my average log size is 98 words (now 99 according to Project GC) . I don’t know how they do the rounding, so I’ll assume the worst, and say I have 3 words (now 2) per log to make up. That’s around 8000 words, giving a generous allowance for notes, DNFs, problem logs etc. Hopefully I can do that by the end of the year. I might even write a program to calculate my average myself ….

A day out cachng with ZQX, AngelG27, Bobl27 and Noikmeister, aiming for 50+ in a day, to collect all but the last of the Hidden Creatures souvenirs. Just under 7 hours to complete this area including the two Murrumbidgee Meanders. (Perfect rogaine training). The weather started off with a little drizzle but soon improved for a lovely day out in the hills. All caches easily found. TFTC.

Two caches to go before getting to 50 in a day. That was one of my goals for this epic day of caching: Getting fifty or more caches in a day. I had not done it before. My previous best was 38, which I thought wasn't too bad. I know a lot of people do more than 38 in a day on a semi-regular basis, but they cache differently to me. I mean, everyone caches their own way, and that's one of the great things about the game - there are so many ways to play it. For example, I'm ecstatic if I make one FTF in a day, and I'm happy to let others have a crack at other FTFs available on the same day. Others think that's silly and go for everything. That's different but totally valid. Definitely within the rules of the game and the spirit of the game. In fact, that's what makes ftfs so sweet (and rare), now that I think about it. Maybe later I will morph into a "ftf hound"? Who knows.
Anyway, enough raving about that. Thanks for the geocache, Dan.

A sunny Tuesday wondering where to go and decided that parts of the new Vampire Series looked like a good walk with generous D/T stars and 4 Letterboxes to boost those stats! I brought Matt out today who recently decided he would start logging caches too after coming on numerous adventures with me in the past year!
We ended up doing all the caches in the series that are placed on the West side of Smiths Road as well as 4 that are along the road itself and the extra letterbox in the East!
All caches were found in good condition which was awesome to see, and no DNF's in the series! Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing all these caches, I am loving the scenery and walks, and will be back here very shortly to keep making my way through them all!
**End of Cut & Paste**

The last Letterbox for today! Huge thanks for changing it up a bit and putting a couple of these unique types into the mix! Will definitely attract people to this area to come find these caches!

We have been a little side tracted lately and not been out in the wild caching. Been watching how many new caches have been published and we needed to get out and have some fun.
We set out early while it was still dark, bagged a swag of caches and finished in the dark, we made most of the day.
We invited Wilbert67 to join us and it turned out a great day out.
It felt like we had 4 seasons in one today, the temperature fluctuated, wind, snow and sunshine, the caches there were many variables in types and hides.
Thank you to all the COs for their effort on placements and to add to our enjoyment and Wilbert for your company.

A great long day of caching that had everything in it. From city to country, from high to low, from warm to cold. We managed to knock off quite a bit of trails, drive trip, beautiful views and vampire series being the main ones. In between a few very nice single traditionals. Loved driving around this part of Namadgi and seeing snow today was great. Thanks to all the cache owners for putting the caches out, the quality was surprisingly good! Thanks to J+J.AU for taking me along today.

My 3rd time out caching the infamous vampire series. This series is extremely varying, some caches being more challenging than others, namely those across the river. Simple walk to letterbox cache, left my sticker as calling card. Tftc
Could go past this one so off the road through the fence and into the valley i went.
Nice Cache easy find.

Living in NSW and working in the ACT has it's advantages and today was an example of that with a public holiday! Headed out with fitzy_1965 for the day that saw me picking up 72 smiley's and 2 DNF's.
Most caches were found quickly & easily. Certainly loved the views we saw along the way.
So weird to run into a CO whilst out doing their caches. Saw some kangaroos and a rather large eagle chasing a much smaller bird. Was magnificent to watch. PS the smaller bird got away!

15,904. Found on an epic day run with minniek today.
Gotta love an ACT only Public Holiday A last minute plan was hatched to head out and grab the new Beautiful View and Drive Trip caches, as well as a bunch of Vampire series and the odd bonus cache along the way. This was the next of many caches found today. This one was the longest walk of the day. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we were off to the next one. Funnily enough we ran into the CO while in this area today !
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN !! Awesome effort ! Always enjoy a LBH !!

Spent the morning cleaning out the remainder of the series. Great walking through open paddocks and open woodland, spent 2 hours to complete. TFTC and for the series.
Blimey - I go away for a couple of days, and come back to heaps of caches on my side of town! So, decided to clear some out today. Decided to come here direct from number 39. Not sure that was the best way, but it worked I guess. Nice quick find here. Thanks DSD.
I went to Dr for flu shot and i feel like go Vampire Series and Look Beautiful warm weather... Kick out of shop, zoom to Thwara .... Beautiful view and Feel so good walked on the track to up and down... No trouble... Thanks
Superb sunny cool Austumn day for an easy 4km stroll along the ridge to V39 then dropped down a gentle slop and up again to 'the lettrbox' and on to the road and car.
Normally as a group we only pick up the one or two caches each day if they cross our path and come another day to do another however today was different. These caches follow a scenic route, and was a refreshing and fun walk so it made sense to follow the trail. We agreed to give this new group of caches a favourite point on V39.
Enjoyable afternoon. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

*FTF* with Aquilus1 at 9:29pm. After coming off the hill from the last cache the wind was no longer a problem and the 4 degrees felt a whole lot warmer. It was steep in spots, but not enough to worry about and we were able to avoid the blackberries. Down one hill, then past the powerlines and up the other hill straight to the cache. Love all the stamps! I stamped what I felt like I needed by that time - a stiff drink to warm me up ; ) I really enjoyed the walk. Nice job DD! TFTC!!!
*FTF* with dty73 9.29pm. I did had a completely different evening planned, with a nice roast dinner cooking I went out for a walk with the plan to eat dinner when I got back and lounge on the couch for the rest of the night... hmm, some new caches - change of plans! I had just turned for home when the caches started coming out and a message from dty73 had me moving along a bit quicker to get home and ready.
Parked by #33 and made our way in by the gate where we walked along until #39, All very clear and easy walking with just a few odd hills along the way but a bonus really as it was very cold up on the ridge with the wind and it warmed things up nicely. All caches easily found with good coordinates and easily spotted hides but for #36 which had the coordinates out by 20 metres and in the dark just proved too difficult for us so with the cold seeping in it was a dnf in favour of walking along to keep warm.
From #39 we made a direct walk across to the new letterbox cache, a few interesting obstacles of blackberries and steep cracks to navigate around but using satellite image of the area we made it through without any trouble. Once off the ridge it was much warmer out of the wind and didn't need quite so many layers once the last hill was climbed. Made our way back to the road and then walked the short distance back to the car, a chilly 4*C had the heater in full swing as we headed back into town... and to make our way up Mount Majura. Thanks for the caches and the series DSD.
No need for garlic or crusifix as I had my own protection along with me tonight! No missing this location and a good sized container really, we each chose a stamp that appealed for the time - so many choices.
