Original hiding place no longer available

Disabling as council has done a refurb and our hiding spot is no longer there. Will replace close by

Neither puff_25 lyn999 or I could lay eyes on this one. The area has been decimated by council workers who were still hovering at a distance. The feature at the listed coords which I presume holds/held the cache looks to be basically disintegrating. Would be very interested to know if this one is still intact.

In the area reminiscing about my childhood...and checking on my Ranger Pete cache. I had 3 DNFs on this series a month or so ago, as the place was packed. Today was a completely different situation and I had time to look properly.
These fields were once grass (as they still are on google maps) and the upper car park was just a dirt track, and no through access for cars. I can't imagine the YMCA has blue light discos and indoor soccer anymore. Love coming back to rediscover this area.

Quickish find, first of the loop and next to where I parked, thanks guys

This really was a moment of
"Hmm, I wonder if there are any caches around here..."
*opens app on phone*
"Oh look, there's one 30 metres away"

Lucky I checked just as we were about to drive away from our visit to this great new synthetic football field! We had the cache in hand in no time.

This is my fourth find under my new username (formerly NazzoR)

The last for the loop around the park. The quickest one of the lot. Lucky the neighbour was busy or I would have looked suspicious.

Stopped off after leaving the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale, at Quarry Road Dural, for this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging (including some potential cache containers), and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to grab some more caches while on the homeward journey. This was the 7th of 13 finds for the day.

After finding "Pardon the Pun - Paper and Pencil game" I next walked over to this one, passing a soccer match in full swing, for another quick find at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. On my way back to the geomobile, and not too far from the cache location, I passed by what must be the lowest mounted cell phone base amp & antenna system I have ever seen. Can't see why it's not mounted high up on a pole, unless it's a zoning height restriction issue. TFTC Frazelle, Ash_Kate.

TFTC, good idea not to have the hides in the park Wink

Third Pardon the Pun cache for today. A pity with all rubbish lying around, though.

5/7/18. 2:53 PM. Cache #5586.
3rd of 5 finds this afternoon - Epping & Beecroft.

Grabbed 5 this afternoon after work, starting with these 3 punny caches around West Epping Park. From 'Paper and Pencil games', I then made my way around the soccer ovals & up the stairs to this one.

At GZ, poked my end in one side but saw nothing and wold have been too exposed to muggles anyway. Getting myself around and more out of sight, the next time I poked my head in I made the find straight away. SL, rehid and then back to the truck to continue onto my next find, "Hotter Like Siberian Summer". TFTC.

Needed a few more steps & some caches for the souvenirs. Came back to this park again today on my way home from work. Nice quick find once I got the right side. TFTC

Find #: 1,793
Companions: None
Muggles: A few nearby
Weather: Cold winter's morning
Cache condition: Good

After finding PaPG and not finding CAM I headed over to PG. There were some muggles in their cars, on the way to or from a soccer game on the impressive-looking field, but they didn't pay any attention to me in my "camo" a.k.a. jogging gear. I quickly determined the likely hiding spot and soon afterwards had CIH. TNLNSL, then managed to stop rather than resume my jog on my GPS watch, sigh, so needed to start a second run (wow, talk about a First World Problem). TFTC

Spend the day at Supanova and when my nephew picked us up we had enough time to do these.

16-Jun-18
Took the geo kid to the park and went for a walk.

Yet another quick find for my partner. I was too cold to search in deep. TFTC

Today I had the same plan of attack as last Thursday - leave early to beat the traffic, grab a Frazelle, Ash_Kate cache in Epping on the way to comp tennis.
The difference - far less traffilc but every crazy was out driving this morning, the bizarre things I saw today!!!!
The cache was a quick find. Signed the log and rehid the cache then had enough time to have another look at the "new" park, from a different perspective.
I still can't believe what has been done to this park by the council. I didn't realise that two councils had been involved. Very impressive use of rate payers money. I'm glad some of my hard earned dollars have gone into a project like this.

We enjoyed our stroll around this pleasant park in today's beautiful sunshine. It's had quite a facelift since I was here last.

Thanks for placing these hides Frazelle and Ash_Kate.

OCW the Bebes. We had a nice walk around the park. Went to the obvious spot at GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Tftc

Another nice easy find. Might return one day to show a few beginners this cache as well.

Lots of folks still playing soccer and being active in the park.

Thanks for the cache!

Another round of caching, I drove and parked near one cache, but being 3pm, School ends, and people were coming to collect their kids, so after collecting the nearby one, I walked to this one. Easy find and hidden from muggles. SL and replaced.

Great camo, just a pity about the log container being a dreaded mint tin.

09-May-18
Yea I came last at that game. I think you have to be ruthless in order to win. Simple park n grab. Almost dismisses this container think it was smaller.

Was considering going north to track down a couple of traditionals requiring a bush walk but opted for this "close to home" cache at the last minute. Plenty of parking near the fantastic looking new oval. Looked around for a while before knuckling down and checking the obvious spot. I had been wondering what game was being referenced and had to chuckle when I saw what it was. I would never have guessed - my money was on twister Smile

This area used to be on pushbike route back in the 80’s, back when it was tress and a dirt path.

Thanks for the hide.

Well, I was planning on taking the whole weekend off. but then publishing hit and there was a First2Find opportunity close to home. Was out the door and after waiting for Geoson to move his car - having parked me in - I was off to GZ.
A few other's were apparently out of the race, but I was worried about... hold on, they're the COs! OK, looks like I have a good chance.

Parked right near the cache and made a quick find. Opened to see I had...

Whohoo. That's my First2Find for May sorted! Phew.

Completed signing duties and replaced and... the CO is ringing me. They're nearby and coming my way.
Once they arrived, we had a chat about caching and wrestling. But eventually we went our separate ways.

And as for the party game. I was never pushy enough to be much good at it.

2TF. Did not know if we could find this one as there were lots of muggles around. In the end it was an easy find. Great playground. Geogirl wants to move to the area.

Located at 7:04pm. Saw the slew of caches published today, all from the confines of my desk at work No FTF chance on this one but thankfully no dramas in driving past after work to collect. There was the tail end of soccer practice at the new oval but no one around to disturb me as I went about finding the cache and signing the log. I haven’t cached since the 1st of May so was very happy to make a find after five days. And as for the game, I mostly played this when I was in Cubs and Scouts Much laughing and shouting was had. Cheers Frazelle and Ash.Kate for another new publication, keep them coming Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
