Due to weather this cache is damaged and won’t be replaced

21-Mar-22
I had another look for this, armed with some hints from past finders; the fungi at GZ are spectacular, but I still didn’t find anything. Not sure its a D1.5, or else I’m really cache blind on this one- perhaps another nemesis?!!

20-Mar-22
I didn’t get the joke or the cache

08-Sep-21
It was my second attempt but found it! Recommend to find it in daylight time.

At 5.5 degrees, I decided to stop by on my way to work. I had a bit of a poke around, but was already spooked by the thought of coming across a rather large spider that apparently lives here. No different from many other cache location really!

Looking forward to returning when it’s warmer.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. It was a delight to return to the park which used to keep my GeoDaughter entertained after YMCA gymnastics.

Yes, yes , yes!
Finally with a lot of help from the kindly CO I can turn my multiple DNFs into a smiley.
Love the container very cute.

This is the second time ive tried to find this cache so it felt good to avenge my previous DNF.
After parking right near the GZ i began my search with the help of a couple of previous comments.
I checked a few spots and finally found the caches hiding spot.
Thanks.

Sweet as, this was harder to find than I expected, it almost had me Bark-ing mad but with a little help from PAF + reading some previous finds I was able to get down to the bottom of this one, side note, nice park

No joy here today

Another attempt another fail.
Even after a very lengthy search late at night.
I will be back. Again!

Returned with Oldmorty to the Carlingford area to tidy up unfinished business. 25yrs ago I would frequent this park to kick the footy and then watch some proper football on the weekend. Boy, what a great improvement. Made our way to GZ where we probed and searched without any luck. Then read some logs which indicated we had to get "sticky" and then noticed something that didn't quite fit the surroundings. Bingo. A cache and a spider waiting. Cute container and all became clear. TFTC!

OCW morty8888 on a perfect day for caching. Here we looked in all the wrong places and we were about to PAF when morty8888 spotted something in two older logs that provided a good hint. Extending the search, morty8888 sighted something that required further investigation. Bingo and a largish spider to boot. SL and replaced everything as found.

TFTC Frazelle, Ash Kate.

Glad to find this as the garden has been pruned back drastically, and we feared it may have been cleaned up. The CO came with us to do a cache check, and found that it was still there. Thanks for the help. OCW Brewmaker. Smile TFTC Frazelle

Great camo. Very sneaky and now I feel like The King now. Hakuna matata. No worroes, despite some serious pruning at GZ. TFTC

No luck tonight after 30 minutes with a torch.
Perhaps I have my levels wrong and gz has definitely had a recent haircut which may affect things
Perhaps another time soon.
Thanks

I waited with my broken foot in the car while BBS looked, couldn’t see it even though he thoroughly checked

Just checked cache still in place ready to be found

04-Jul-20
Target #4 today. This one can be classified as a DNF due to my well-developed cache blindness. Despite looking for suitable objects, camoed or not, this one evaded me. BTW, a sunny Saturday afternoon might be a "slightly sub-optimal" time to search here given the the frequency of muggles passing by.

It's likely the cache is here, as expected, but my brains didn't join the dots and eyes spot it today. Next time, then...

Last time I couldn't find it and this time I still couldn't find it also a lady came over from her home (next to the fence) asked me but I said nothing and don't worry then she left so I PAF the CO and he came here then I got it. Thank you Frazelle for bringing me here.

After a bit of a search and stepping in a second dog poop, I decided it wasn’t worth it, off to clean my shoes and try the next cache.

Came to find this cache today to scape in and complete mystery in the museum (only one more to go!)
This container is very sweet, reterving this cache I got a bit tangled up and I imagine I looked like when you're attached to a bungee cord running down an inflatable and you can't seem to quite get close enough. Much easier to return.
Zip lock container is staring to become a little broken.
Thank you for the cache!

Streak Day #2024 - Ventured out this way this evening as it was quite hot at home and rather enjoyed the cool breeze upon us like so many other muggles walking the streets and playing in the park. We resorted to calling the CO for a little help and managed to find in the end. Also had an audience watching us [see pic attached] and TFTC

In the area reminiscing about my childhood...and checking on my Ranger Pete cache. I had 3 DNFs on this series a month or so ago, as the place was packed. Today was a completely different situation and I had time to look properly.

This was a fast find once GZ was sorted, thanks again guys

In the area, so decided to go looking for this one. Reach in, dive in, just park and grabbed it.

29-Jul-18
Stopped off after leaving the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale, at Quarry Road Dural, for this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging (including some potential cache containers), and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to grab some more caches while on the homeward journey. This was the 5th of 13 finds for the day.

After some fun finds at nearby Dunrossil Park I next drove around to West Epping Park for this one. Parked very close to the cache, in one of the handy parking slots, then walked over to GZ for a quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Frazelle, Ash_Kate.

Find #: 1,796
Companions: None
Muggles: None
Weather: Pleasant winter's morning
Cache condition: Good

I'm not quite sure how I managed to miss this last week :- I jogged here from the CO's "Nostalgia - Board Games" cache, and was once again not required to share the area with any muggles. This time I quickly spotted some typical camo before finding the thematic container. TNLNSL TFTC

05-Jul-18
Found! Smile

I couldn't do my usual caching streak find on the way to comp tennis this morning as it was so foggy early this morning driving was tricky, a second try to do this one after abandonment last week during the storm where the torrential rain and the hinderance of an umbrella made it impossible.
So after tennis I came back here for a third approach.
As I drove up there were no cars along the roads and I could see into the carpark near GZ which was almost empty, but oh bugger there's someone right at GZ!
My initial thought was I'm destined never to be able to find this one, but it turned out to be KRS.
He supervised while I found the cache and SL then we had a chat while surveying the park. I still can't get over how amazing this park looks now!

5/7/18. 2:22 PM. Cache #5584.
1st of 5 finds this afternoon - Epping & Beecroft.

Grabbed 5 this afternoon after work, starting with these 3 punny caches around West Epping Park. Some quick checks of some more urban looking spots first, but then when nothing came up, I read through some past logs. celtical's worries about branches in the eyes narrowed things down quite a bit and I soon saw some likely camo - dare I say it? - lion around.

Poked about and came up with the goods. SL, replaced and went back to the truck, about to move it closer to next one when I realised these three are easily just a short walk apart. Hopped out again, and I was just heading off towards 'Paper and Pencil game' but then noticed jackscruff, who was parking here. Stayed for a geochat and to see how she went with the find. Once jackscruff had also returned it, we continued into the park for a bit more of a chat and then I had to head over to 'Paper and Pencil game' before the school crowds swarmed out. TFTC.

Just doing a quick check on some of my caches today and this one is all good

02-Jul-18
Needed a few more steps & some caches for the souvenirs so I headed here after work. Glad I wore my glasses because there were a few branches determined to get into my eyes. Nice quick find once I got a coast clear of muggles. TFTC

After finding PaPG I headed over to CAM. I looked at some likely spots at and near the co-ordinates, but despite some high-potential hidey-holes I couldn't find the container. Thanks anyway, I'll be back

Found on the way to work .. busy morning here with parents drop off kids. Look in the trees but then turned my attention to another area.. a ha. Found.
I'm not sure if this one means - Lion King ... my first movie at the cinema where I cried as a young 9 year old whilst my brother hide behind the chair.
Easy find.

A fun series in a lovely park on a perfect day. Frazelle and Ash Kate never disappoint. Thank you for your continuing creativity.

29-May-18
GPS was a bit out on this one. Suspect it has been moved as we found it more difficult to find than other logs indicate.

29-May-18
As we thought this one had crept a bit, we replaced the cache and camo in an identical fashion closer to where our devices suggested it should be.

I took the TB.

Good one, thanks Frazelle and Ash_Kate.

Ah yes, the new park. Have been here a few times lately actually, it’s a good one!

A nice straight forward find even though there are a ton of people here at the moment.

Good to see some familiar names on the log.

Thanks for the cache!

24-May-18
I had parked near this cache, but just couldn't locate it first go, so walked around to gather the other 2. Then came back knowing what I was looking for and saw the camo. People kept walking by to go to the school, what being 3.10pm and all Sad, I sneaked in and grabbed the cache, SL and replaced. All good. TFTC.

Not my first visit to the park nor was it my first attempt at finding this cache. Not sure that there is a good time to do this one as it seems there are always muggles about. Finally found where I expected after extending my search radius.

#5113 (1 of ? today)

I would like three caches for my calendar today. But I'm busy with lots of things, not to mention my wedding anniversary.
But I had a small window (too small as it turned out) for a brace of finds in West Epping Park after dropping off a car for a service. With luck I can grab one more later in the day.

I'd deliberately left the older one here for finding today, and was pleasantly surprised when the other was published.
Got both, but my wife had been waiting for me to pick her up... Oops.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
OK, not the best time to be here - just as parents are dropping off their little darlings at school. Not that the cache is close to the school, but it is on one of the main routes there...

Thankfully it was a pretty quick find.
Took a short distance to sign, then back for the replace.
Then off to the next target.

Re the Pun, yes, I always enjoyed Kimba The White Lion! Twisted

Took a while to turn up. Not a great spot to hide a cache IMHO.

10-May-18
Located at 10:10pm. Phew, that was a bit of a tricky one. Even at this hour, my fear of neighbouring muggles was high and I was almost sprung by some evening walkers to and fro through the park and made to look nonchalant on the curb as you do on a windy evening at this hour whilst out Geocaching I finally had CIH and put my name in the log. Once again, publication goes off and I’m at work, watching all the new caches springing to life. I knew again I wouldn’t be FTF on the CO’s new cache but thankfully I could pick it up later that evening. Cheers again guys, thanks for the new hide. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

{FTF} First To Find.

I was hoping some new caches would be published today and when a spree of notifications started appearing, I decided to head out and try my luck. Fortunately for me, many of the newly published were fairly close by, so I went for them first.

Starting with ‘Abbott’ (GC7PDWG) and ‘Costello’ (GC7PDV6) in North Epping, I made quick First To Finds here, at this familiar park, while managing to avoid prying eyes from the local school group playing on the oval. Thanks For The Caches Alephroom.

Next it was onto ‘Pardon the Pun - Classic Animated Movies’ (GC7P1EV) in Epping. I was having a bit of trouble with the GPSr signal and had a look around in more spots than I needed, but eventually had the Cache In Hand. Quite a bit of muggle traffic but was able to sign the log for another First To Find and return the cache without raising any suspicion. Thanks For The Cache Frazelle and Ash_Kate.

Travelling down the road to Carlingford, I went for another new cache, ‘Music With Rocks In’ (GC7P8QB). Parking in a nearby side street, I walked over and down the electrifying track towards the published co-ordinates. The cache was a little exposed upon approach, so it was easy to spot. Another First To Find and I made sure to replace it with a bit more protection. Thanks For The Cache Alephroom.

Morry9 was available soon after and encouraged me to join him in Northbridge for 'Pontem Borealis (History trail #1)’ (GC7P01E), for another newly published cache. We parked at the bottom of the hill and walked up the driveway to the open area where the cache was hidden. We had to widen our search but morry9 spotted it and we shared a joint First To Find. The co-ordinates are out a little, by about 12m according to our GPSr. Thanks For The Cache Dreamlifter56.

While in the vicinity, there were a few caches I wanted to do. We hit up the somewhat tricky ‘Warners Donation’ (GC7BT7B) in Castlecrag, which also showed about 15m or so off according to our GPSr and the log is soaked. An interesting location, Thanks For The Cache geo2893.

After that, we went to ‘Gunsens Gap’ (GC7CYRP), which was nice and quick, and provided us with a good Cache In Trash Out opportunity - the CITO Crusaders strike again! Thanks For The Cache RatusGeocaching.

We continued along to ‘Walter's Jukebox’ (GCNGVA) and it was a nice walk down the track behind the park. A quick find, Thanks For The Cache EvilDan (DeltaMike29).

The last one for the day was ‘Four Fig Park’ (GC6N8PG) in Cammeray. Another straightforward find under the shade of a grand row of Morton Bays. Thanks For The Cache aeon14.
