Working in Whakatane this month. Had the day free and as the rain has stopped it was off for some caching in Tauranga. Sadly no joy. Thought I knew what I was looking for but maybe not.

Omg goodness we feel a bit silly that it took us a little while to find this one
Considering we also have one of these cache’s.
TFTC ️

Arrived in the area and saw why this is called ‘which one’. Our GPS sent us all over the place but after a while we realised where the cache should be. Once we realised this and had a think about the traditional container we had the cache in hand. Thanks.

22-Mar-21
A nice quick find with kimbathelion in and amongst the cockroaches

22-Mar-21
Cochroach city. Not pleasant looking for the cache but once we changed our ideas buzzy bee quickly found it. Tftc

14-Feb-21
We had two attempts at this one, and we could have sworn we'd left almost nothing unturned, but no luck! A lot of logs spoke about knowing exactly what to look for, but we were stumped! We'll have to try again sometime. TFTC

11-Nov-20
Not my kind of spot but got there in the end, Good to see all the walks around the area. TFTC

01-Nov-20
We approached this one from the top end.... and then it was indeed a question of 'which one' - Mr L had an idea of what he was looking for, and this time, he was right!

28-Oct-20
YUSS! I have a short attention span so I knew I had to get this one quickly. 15 mins later and my final attempt had me thinking "where is the best place to stash this?" "It will look a little different" "if I don't find it I'm never walking up those stupud stairs again" . Satisfying find! Trust your caching instincts!

03-Oct-20
Had a clue what this might be, and yip I was right. Too some hunting but luckily it wasnt too long be fore we had it in the hand.

02-Oct-20
#927 - loving Daylight savings. Came over to this side of town to collect a few caches. Trying to make it to 1000 real soon!.

We came up to this one and I knew it was going to be a fun search. We picked over a few likely options nope, nope, nope. Little more searching got it!! I really enjoyed this one . TFTC.

Just wanted to write a quick note. As my family and I have only just discovered and learnt about geocaching we were unaware about the covid-19 restrictions currently in place regarding caching.
I just want to apologise for any discomfort our actions may cause and offer reassurance that my family and I have followed restrictions and bubble rules strictly, haven’t traveled or been in contact with someone who has traveled, have no symptoms of illness, we followed hand washing/disinfecting hygiene practices while finding this cache.
Apologies for this oversight, we will now be waiting until we are in level 2 to go out again.

What a way to test the patients of a 7yo and 9yo hahaha awsome cache

Good question! Found the right one!! TFTC!!

08-Sep-19
Very sneaky little hide. Harder cause you know what it is you just need to find it. After claiming numerous times I was giving up, it was Mr 6 who found as we were leaving. He was pretty chuffed with himself with this clever hide.

04-Aug-19
Out and about enjoying some sunshine between showers. This was a challenge which took longer than it should have to locate. Nice hide TFTC.

27-Jul-19
Took 2 attempts to find this one but am learning to widen our search after looking in the wrong spot the first time. Glad I knew how to get there from the top of the hill.

Over in this area to convert a solved puzzle, although try as I might I've had no joy with your nearby ones Mc Jandals. I miss my PC. Android phone and iPad just don't cut it for mystery cache solving.
Despite Tama the geohound indicating elsewhere, I managed to find what I suspected I was looking for very quickly - between muggles using the walkway.
Log signed and cache returned as found.
TFTCs of yours I've done while in the BOP. Especially your Creative Cache Celebration event way back 87 days ago.

Another find during our mini raid. We were astonished just how many homes have been built up here. Didn't realise the subdivision was so extensive. Found our way to GZ and straight away figured what we needed to look for. Lol. We have one of these in our cacheing box to use one day, somewhere.

Thanks for another smilie McJandals.

01-May-19
Fine and sunny though cool autumn day so we set out to do some local caches whilst checking out the new shops in this area. So pleased that there were steps to cancel out the rather cold wind today. A nice quick find helped considerably too. TFTC

I almost emitted an audible groan as I approached GZ, however, the experience was nowhere near as bad as I had thought. Loved the steps, way to get a workout! TFTC

Luckily one of us has brains and a good eye. Thanks wifey/ mummy. Cheers for the cache.

21-Apr-19
Phew !!!!
I guessed what I was looking for;
which made it a bit easier.
Out with 2 grandsons and their cousin...they all enjoyed the hunt...off to look for more now!
Thanks Jan!
Stayed at Lakes Boulevard last night!

30-Mar-19
Headed out last night in the company of HKCB to see what we could score across the Eastern side of town to make the next trip over here that much easier. Headed off at 6.30pm and were home by 2am managing somehow to avoid a shower or two along the way.

The fourth of nineteen for the evening. Now that was just nasty and very well hidden, glad I wasn't trying to locate this one in the rain as the cammo would have been almost perfect. All in all it was a great night and got to see a few sights along the way

A big thanks for the CO's for maintaining their caches and giving us so much enjoyment.
Thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

19-Mar-19
Having a lovely day out, just me and my bike.I knew exactly what it would be bu took a while to locate.

Came along this walkway in the weekend and tried a couple of times to look for this cache but everytime I thought we had the place to ourselves, a muggle and their dog came around the corner. Abandon search.
Today, I was literally working within 10m of GZ, so thought I'd take another look. No one about here today, but it didn't matter, cos I was dressed in my high viz camo gear and wouldn't have looked too dodgy if anyone muggled me.
After a short search I found exactly what I suspected I was looking for.
Thanks Jan, another great hide in a nice location.
Tftc

Find number 4169. Which one? Does that apply the which end of the walkway to start from? I took the easy options and after walking past the workmen at the house I arrived at GZ. After a brief search the cache was found and signed. I saw that TNXPro also found it today and after reading his log I wonder if he was one of those workers nearby. Thank you for the placement.

25-Aug-18
I found the right one...TFTC

01-Aug-18
I put this in the too hard basket with a full bladder so didn't stick around for long. I didn't realise this is where Bella Vista is and it explains why I saw Security Guards on the streets.

17-Jun-18
Which one is right! 'The Mr' arrived at GZ before me as he decided going 'cross country' was the way to go. Turns out there was a much easier path to be taken! He found the cache after a little bit of trial and error but it was such a lovely setting that we didn't mind hanging out here at all.

08-Jun-18
7.45am - My Co Ords had me a few metres out so guessed I was in the wrong spot but didn’t take to long to spot this one. SLTFTC

08-Jun-18
Not wanting to battle the stairs & knowing where the other end was I drove there giving me a short walk.Once at GZ I had a pretty good idea what I was looking & for once I managed to spot it quite quickly. Thanks Jan,it blends in beautifully.

With all the rain we've been having, that has meant a lot more time solving puzzles and with the solved pile getting rather large meant a mission to clear a few off it was needed. As Kiwis69 who was it a similar situation with her solved pile, it was a good idea to team up and head over to Tauranga. Having checked the weather report and it looking to flash but bare able I made sure the wet weathers were in the car before heading off. As usually with NZ weather it's never 100% right and as we started caching the weather got worse and worse until we called the trip off and headed home. Still we managed a handful of caches, so not all was lost.

Wow....what a evil hide. We were lucky the weather was bad as it meant we didn't have to worry about muggles. Took a while to find, and after about 15 mins of looking something finally jumped out at me and sure enough or should I say luckily it was the cache. Thanks for the challenging hide.

Managed to solve some more BOP puzzles & was keen to arrange another trip to Tauranga to sign them off. Had some spare time today but the weather is abysmal - definitely not a day to be out geocaching. Yet somehow, here i am in a storm, getting soaked to the skin looking for sneaky hides. It became obvious that the forecast had misled us, that the storm was getting much worse, so we decided to leave our planned tree-climbing for another day, so instead we stopped for a few drive-by finds & then headed home. This was one of our consolation finds. We weren't sure what to expect here and our hearts sank a little as we reached GZ in the heavy rain today & realised this wasn't going to be a super-quick find .. but we're already soaking wet so decided to start searching anyway - at least we're unlikely to get muggled here today! Thankfully it wasn't long before my caching buddy said those magical words ... 'found it'! log signed & replaced, TFTC

Some geocaching days are diamonds...and some aren't. No blame to the CO but this wasn't fun. Terrible Tauranga traffic combined with heavy rain and fading light meant that I wasn't really in the mood to play hide and seek. I was ready to give up after about 10 minutes but needed a dot day cache so a quick PAF narrowed the search and the cache was in hand about 30 seconds later. TFTC - even a bad geocaching day is still good.

23-May-18
Which one indeed!! It seems that as soon as we leave town (regularly these days) another new cache is published - serves us right really!! Today as the rain threatened we headed down the path. What!!?? Oh no not a quick park and grab. I wondered if the CO had a red herring in mind - as is usually the case! Of course! After circling and braving gorse nothing leaped out saying "pick me". Time to get serious and systematic. Ahh you were right it was eventually found. No time to enjoy the view. Thanks for the placement McJandals- and the frustration.

22-May-18
The last time I was caching up here I was looking for a glass spice container under a rock! I'm confident this will be a better hide though but as I neared gz I could see this could still take a while. Typically - I struggled and after receiving a little nudge I spent the rest of my time cursing the previous finder as it had been re-hidden a fraction too well....

Anyway - a neat little cache which gave me an opportunity to rubber neck around the Bella Vista debacle. Cheers Mc Jandals, TFTC.

22-May-18
As the weather was threatening I made my way quickly up the hundred and one steps (I think ) to get to GZ ..and I am not going back to check lol....past the the old cache and oh bother I can guess where this one is ....but then knowing this CO I thought she maybe up to something more evil than a needle in a haystack ...checked some near by items but nothing ....so it’s in there ‘right” as I cast my eyes around GZ I couldn’t help but wonder how many will be left in a few years time ha ha ha ....Another great choice for a cache placement McJandles well done it yes it took me longer than I liked to sus it out ...but it was peaceful and not raining and I had heaps of time thanks great all round cache

We had a burst water pipe at home. Mum and I were told to stay away while the break was getting fixed... We got away to Tauranga for the afternoon...

We pondered over the presence of security guards in the surrounding neighbourhood, then figured they must be here because of the Bella Vista property dispute and lock outs that date back to March... We arrived near ground zone and walked down the path. As we rounded the corner, we were fairly certain where this was positioned. However, we didn't know what style of cache was hidden here. It took a lot of circling and scanning before we were certain... Cunning! TFTC.

{FTF}. On the way home from getting a FTF on a bush walking cache. Thought this one would have already gone but I was greeted with a blank log sheet.. As I approached GZ I spotted the likely hiding spot and thought this may take awhile but I think experience does help . Thanks to CO for another cool cache which should last a lot longer than the last one up here TFTC
