DNF. Lots of possible hiding places where I spent about 20mins searching them all.No luck for us. If it's still there we'll grab it another day.
We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke
Today is day 2 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after 4 hours completed 27 caches. TFTC JACS Team
Pulled up took one look .It's too overgrow for us to give this a go today. Will call back another time.
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I intend to head home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays that way for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there.I took the opportunity to re-visit the 65 Roses series as I had quite a few DNFs when I was here about 18 months ago due to caches missing after flooding in the area. All good today though. Thanks JACS Team for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache, and for the entertaining caching foray around Kilcoy JACS Team!
Out geocaching w Treasure Trakas and enjoying the lovely weather and gorgeous scenery. Apologies for the generic log however with the better part of the 65 Roses to find and log, cut and paste has beome a necessity. Thank you JACS Team for the effort in putting this series together.
Out for a day of caching with SusanDW. We had a great day, finding all the caches that we looked for. A day with no DNFs is always a great day. Thanks to the CO for this fantastic series.
Out searching for puzzle solved containers and this one was easily found .

This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. This was a puzzle that I did over a few nights whilst watching television, and then solved using a standard geocaching puzzle technique.
After parking the vehicle and jumping out to start searching around GZ, it wasn't long before I spotted the cache. I did think that the coordinates were slightly out, but I don't think it affected my search too much. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I did have a chuckle with one of the recent finders in the logbook. Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

With the kiddies at home Alyce and I decided to head to Kilcoy for a few hours to get started on the Rose.
We had a blast navigating the roads and enjoying the beautiful Somerset region. This place is truely breathtaking. I don’t know what it is, but I have a feeling it must be the country roads and getting away from everything, it’s something else. We don’t come here often, but we’re looking forward to returning to finish the series.
Thanks you JACS Team for the placement, puzzles, ongoing maintenance and for keeping this series alive.
Thanks for bringing us here.

JACS Team I found your cache 65 Roses - 32 on 22/3/2023, 11:10 am. This is my find 4856 and find # 5 today. Found it after a brief search. Very overgrown here. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Check out the log from the relieving muggles. Definitely had a laugh!!
After parkrunning in Nanango, we passed through Kilcoy again with the aim of finding a few letterboxes.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was cold and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then change of plan and ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

OMG...I found these, probably last year now with Willis007 but said I would solve all the puzzles before actually logging them. About a month ago I put them on my Must-Do list and now I am finally here,. Today is the day. I am going to finish these as puzzles were all solved in January when I was stuck in bed with covid for about a month. Peppa was my constant go with with a hint (or sometimes 7....)
I was able to do this puzzle on my own.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 14 – Farewells were done in Nanango with family and now heading to more family in Morayfield collecting more caches along our journey.
Solved all these puzzles before our trip so decided to try and pick some up while we were passing through the area.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks JACS Team for the placements and keeping this hobby alive.

Stopping in Kilcoy for a few days. Having previously contacted the CO of 65 Roses, today we headed out to tackle a few more, well with great weather and an easy run we actually completed the series!
All caches logged by us have been refreshed/replaced and left in good condition, with notes sent to CO.

The series has had a refresh post floods thanks to FelixII. This one is good to go again.
I attempted this cache while heading back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville over Easter.
I ended up camping at Kilcoy for a couple of nights, attempting a few of the series late yesterday afternoon and most of the others today. Unfortunately the weather was not great with consistent, almost constant, light rain throughout the nights and days, but it wasn’t cold so not so bad for caching really.
I quite enjoyed solving the puzzles in this series in preparation for the trip but the caches weren’t so great. Many were missing, probably as a result of the recent flooding, and most are in need of maintenance. The coordinates and hints for a few were also a bit off, possibly due to cache creep.
This was unfortunately one of the DNFs. Looks like it might be lost in the flood debris.
Thanks anyway JACS Team.

With 8 of the 65 Roses left to find, and a spare day off, I decided it was time to head out and finish the series. With geopup on board, we headed to Kilcoy.
After working through the puzzle I soon had what I needed.
Arriving at gz I searched around a bit, coming up empty-handed I checked previous logs and noticed the COs log and quickly found it behind the big tree.
Thanks JACS Team for the great series and letterbox cache.

After spending some time last week working out the last of the puzzles, in some cases with a little guidance, we decided it was time to come and finish off the Roses today.
The weather was not exactly being kind, with Kilcoy Creek flooding and closing the highway in the morning but we weren’t going to let a little water stop us.
The recent rains have also encouraged abundant growth along the roadsides which saw us needing to push our way through knee-high to head-high grass to access many of the hides.
By the end of the day we were pretty much saturated from the thighs down but at least the dreary day seemed to keep both the muggles and creepy crawlies somewhat at bay.
The grass here was the highest yet so we sent a quick prayer to the snake gods that all his charges were sleeping and pushed through to GZ. Our hunt was unsuccessful there so I decided to read the logs where I discovered the cache was now at the big tree instead. After that it was a nice quick find. TFTC JACS Team

Found with Peppa, Giraffe ?? 18, 2manytrailers, blkthunder and Catboy67 on our Mega day of attempting to do the entire Rose series. Wish us luck????
With an unusual public holiday announced, a plan was hatched to return to Kilcoy with the goal of finishing the 65 Roses Geoart… we’d last been here in January… so with PirateLinda, Giraffe18, 2manytrailers, Catboy67 and Blkthunder we left home at stupid o’clock this morning in convoy arriving in Kilcoy at 8am… With six of us the caches didn’t stand a chance… logs signed in full or some combination of P, PL, G18, 2MT, CB67 & BT…
This time it was Catboy67 who sallied forth into the long grass and called “found it” while I was still busy checking all the likely spots… now having read some logs, I see it’s been moved… I just repeat what the CO wrote a year ago…
Look for the biggest tree….

Oh my did this cache take some time.
It was my last cache before town, and i'd had a big day, but i was so determined on finding it, i bushbashed my way through the long grass to every tree in the area.
Then i went and sat on the grass and read some logs.
Finally found a non-generic original mentioning a co maintenence log. Trawling back further i came up with the goods and so sallyed forth back into the long grass one more time, for a quick find this time round. Phew.
That was lucky. So yeah i guess coords are a bit out now then?
Thanks JACS for providing the fun all round i had in kilcoy!

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

24,385. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !
Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

Left the Mega and headed to Kilcoy for some flowers with BenM70 and Burgo78 on this wet day.
The area here will look fantastic when the sun comes out over all the green pastures, but today it was really a day to sit in front of a fire. Instead of a fire, I kept the car heater on a bit to keep us warm.

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!
This cache: solved beforehand as a group and found easily today!

#10930 - 12:24:00 PM; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series, so we knew we had time to try and complete it before we headed to Dayboro. All up we had 60 finds and four DNFs for the series. Most of the finds were fairly straight forward, while some required a little more effort, reference to hints and/or earlier logs and/or the exercise of the geosenses. Enjoyed the variety of the puzzles and the hides. One left for the return journey to complete the series. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC JACS Team
Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....
Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.
Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

We didn't get off to a great start on this one as we had a couple of DNF's early but we got better as we got into the trail. We only had time for a few of these but we can say that we enjoyed the variety of hides and except for the dnf's found them to be relatively quick finds. We did find one of the field puzzles and did enjoy that.
At the mega we were told more about the meaning of the 65 roses and thought that it was a lovely idea for a series.
Thanks JACS Team we will have to finish this series off on another visit, please excuse the generic log as all our notes for this series were drowned at Dayboro and we now know our camper has a small leak.

Unfortunately plan A wasn’t able to happen today so that meant I needed a plan B. Having just had some help finishing the puzzles for this geoart, I took the opportunity to turn some of them into smileys. It was a great day driving around Kilcoy making the finds, I didn’t get them all but made a very good dent.
Waded through the long grass to access this one. Log signed and replaced as found.

Lake Somerset Trip - Day 6
After a delayed start to the day (after 2 big days on the lake), our aim was to cherry pick a number of the 65 roses powertrail. Managed to avoid the drizzle for most of the afternoon. Trying to get my letterbox count up to 100 and this little group of 8 will definitely help.

After finishing the Dark Side of the Cache early, TARDIS0061, crash2079 and I headed out to find some Roses.
It took a while to work out what to do and then the penny dropped. Quick find.

A fun find a word to work through before identifying the mystery words. A straight forward find once at the GZ. Thanks for the puzzle and the hide.
First day in Kilcoy. We're here to smell the roses, and so far the caches we found are well placed - and they are a joy to find. At our last location we had to wade through head high grass, dodging cobblers pegs, bindeis and spider webs for most caches.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache 17 metres from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing
Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Another fire DNF turned into a smile. Wow it’s very overgrown here now but all good with the cache.
Thanks for all the great puzzles and hides
Loving this rose series.

Loving this rose series.
Tftc JACS Team, great series, loved the variety of puzzles and difficulty. Puzzles solved now, with some needing a call to the brains trust for help. In the area for a few days to collect the smilies.
Day 2, hope to finish off picking up the roses today. Appreciation for your work in making the puzzles and taking the time to maintain all the caches

Returned for the replacement cache today, this time with a precautionary hat, but it seems the maggies have finished guard duty for this season. TF this series, JACS Team.
Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for the next of over 120 finds today. We enjoyed the Roses immensely, being decent puzzles and good hides with parking spots (mostly) and accurate coords.
Thanks JACS Team for entertaining me at this location.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

Enjoyed this puzzle. Thank you JACsteam for making this fun geo art. Enjoying our day with DeafPVC
After completing the darkside series yesterday and then a boat trip this morning to grab a trad we missed yesterday, it was then to pack up and continue the Rose’s series.
With an email to say the CO was in town doing some maintenance on the series of caches, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for this series. It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).
With log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it.

As others have said, the area is burnt out - I think the council has been burning a few verges in prep for the dry season - and there's no evidence of a cache. However, I won't be searching here again during magpie season - several gathered quickly and had me running for the car. TFTH.
This was another area that was burnt out a fair bit - half way up both trees and there was a deer head but no caretaker at head height (I was looking for something scary lol)or any sign of a cache - that is unless I am utterly blind. It's only a couple of hundred metres from another burnt out cache area so not sure.
Will try another day when picking up more rose smiles

My Muggle husband and i decided to go for a country drive and find some caches . we admired how green it was compared to our last drive. At gz my husband stayed in the car and i walked through 23metres of long grass to this cache. it was up to my shoulders. i used my best stomping walk on the way and at gz it was a quick find. i solved this puzzle pre covid days when i was waiting at the beach house at chermside for my friends to arrive. it has since closed down which is sad. the puzzle however was fun. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
See #23 for full log. The puzzle gets a favourite for a different way of getting coords. TFTC
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with gridge98 for a few days and travel around the country side checking out new places and also collect a few caches along the way.

This series was solved before departure from Adelaide and was on the cards for today, we managed to find about 1/3 of the caches before DNFing 2 so after that we left it as we knew we would have to return to complete it one day.
Most of the caches are in good condition although some of the field puzzles were broken and some of the caches were missing bits and pieces of there containers.
Overall a good series and a bit of fun.
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.
Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

I love these types of puzzles but Swearah had it nailed before I even looked at it. A nice geo trail lead me in at GZ where the cache was found. Thanks for the letterbox!
While I love these kind of puzzles, I usually struggle with what to do at the end of them. This time I nailed it straight away - yay!
Krcamber scrambled to a nice quick find at GZ. We are hauling butt to find some more before calling it a day! TFTLC

I spent the last morning of our Sunshine Coast holiday out here in the country, tackling the second "half" of the 65 Roses geo-art. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenic drive this series took me on and my thanks go to Jacs Team for putting together this nice geo-art series for us all to enjoy.
Early start to the series this morning. Quickly grabbed the Trads before collecting the fruits of our efforts the past few months! Thanks for all the help and being the navigator Simba15

An early and foggy start today heading to Kilcoy, coords spot on which was so nice thanks JACS Team SL TFTC
After battling with [B)] and finally solving the last few puzzles, today was the perfect day to head back to the hillsides around Kilcoy and pick up the last few Roses . Coords are all spot on and most were found quickly, though we did leave a couple of blue sad faces behind. A fun day was had and many thanks to JACS Team for an excellent series of puzzles, caches, hides and adventures. TNLNSL TFTC .
Today we tackled this series, with an early start we worked our way around the country side finding the solved puzzles.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks JACS Team for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Now only a day away from home and stopped by here to complete the Roses Geoart. Staying at the Showgrounds and dodging the rain clouds today. Teamed up with Cheekybum_15 to do the Kilcoy caches.

Purrfect weather to get out and pick a lovely bunch of yellow I solved these before Christmas and have been cutting a few stems on the trip back from Cooyar to Brissy, occasionally. Today it was time to pull together the entire bouquet
This puzzle provided the inspiration for one of my Weed geocaches Stopped here on a previous visit and not appropriately attired to tackle the long itchy scratchy bug-infested grass Expect it’s not good karma to wander along the side of the road with a machete but got the cache logged, and made my getaway before the riot police arrived

I was out for a drive in the country after my morn ing brew and headed for an event at Esk and decided to grab a few caches in the Roses series on my way past and this was one of them.
Once at GZ it was a short search and the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.
Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)
Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.
The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!
Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.
Logs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

A fun puzzle! We are enjoying exploring this countryside . There’s quite a bit of traffic it seems.
