We did a lot of research and puzzling in the run-up to our cacher tour around Kilcoy. We spent many hours solving them at home on this Geoart. We finally travelled to Kilcoy and looked for lots of roses in the beautiful countryside.Thank you for the beautiful Geoart and greetings from Team sissifalke
Today is day 2 up here in Kilcoy to do the Rose GeoArt. Everybody I know has done this GeoArt, when I was still working. Now that I have been retired for some years , I knew it was about time to do it. Started late morning and after 4 hours completed 27 caches. TFTC JACS Team
Out with TBU1BIKESU and muggle brother Siggi to get more smiles. We found the container and signed the log.Tftc JACS Team
We used the cooler weather for picking up some Rose puzzles which we finally got solved. This cache was found and we signed the log.Tftc JACS Team
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I intend to head home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays that way for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there.I took the opportunity to re-visit the 65 Roses series as I had quite a few DNFs when I was here about 18 months ago due to caches missing after flooding in the area. All good today though. Thanks JACS Team for the puzzle and the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Found on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache, and for the entertaining caching foray around Kilcoy JACS Team!
Out geocaching w Treasure Trakas and enjoying the lovely weather and gorgeous scenery. Apologies for the generic log however with the better part of the 65 Roses to find and log, cut and paste has beome a necessity. Thank you JACS Team for the effort in putting this series together.
Out for a day of caching with SusanDW. We had a great day, finding all the caches that we looked for. A day with no DNFs is always a great day. Thanks to the CO for this fantastic series.

This puzzle was only recently worked through in preparation for a visit like today, although it was a last-minute trip. I was able to solve this puzzle without too much difficulty, and I really liked the unique I-spy method that this puzzle used - innovative!
After parking the vehicle and jumping out to start searching around GZ, it wasn't long before I spotted the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I do have to note that the cache was found on the ground tucked away, and not as per the hint (likely due a fallen tree that has occurred some time back). Thanks JACS Team for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

With the kiddies at home Alyce and I decided to head to Kilcoy for a few hours to get started on the Rose.
We had a blast navigating the roads and enjoying the beautiful Somerset region. This place is truely breathtaking. I don’t know what it is, but I have a feeling it must be the country roads and getting away from everything, it’s something else. We don’t come here often, but we’re looking forward to returning to finish the series.
Thanks you JACS Team for the placement, puzzles, ongoing maintenance and for keeping this series alive.
Thanks for bringing us here.

OMG...I found these, probably last year now with Willis007 but said I would solve all the puzzles before actually logging them. About a month ago I put them on my Must-Do list and now I am finally here,. Today is the day. I am going to finish these as puzzles were all solved in January when I was stuck in bed with covid for about a month. Peppa was my constant go with with a hint (or sometimes 7....)
This was a fun puzzle and after meeting with JACS...I reckon it is a genuine monthly thing

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 14 – Farewells were done in Nanango with family and now heading to more family in Morayfield collecting more caches along our journey.
Solved all these puzzles before our trip so decided to try and pick some up while we were passing through the area.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned.
Thanks JACS Team for the placements and keeping this hobby alive.

Stopping in Kilcoy for a few days. Having previously contacted the CO of 65 Roses, today we headed out to tackle a few more, well with great weather and an easy run we actually completed the series!
All caches logged by us have been refreshed/replaced and left in good condition, with notes sent to CO.

I attempted this cache while heading back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville over Easter.
I ended up camping at Kilcoy for a couple of nights, attempting a few of the series late yesterday afternoon and most of the others today. Unfortunately the weather was not great with consistent, almost constant, light rain throughout the nights and days, but it wasn’t cold so not so bad for caching really.
I quite enjoyed solving the puzzles in this series in preparation for the trip but the caches weren’t so great. Many were missing, probably as a result of the recent flooding, and most are in need of maintenance. The coordinates and hints for a few were also a bit off, possibly due to cache creep.
This was one of the DNFs. Reading past logs, it seems that the cache was on the ground and no longer at head height as per the hint. Unfortunately the flood waters have washed through here and I suspect taken the cache with them.
Thanks anyway JACS Team for the puzzle.

29/1/22 After staying at Somerset Camping ground for a few days and doing the Darkside of the cache series now heading back home direction. Grabbing the 65 Rose series while here and then back up the highway. TFTC SL Caching with Caitlyn1105
After spending some time last week working out the last of the puzzles, in some cases with a little guidance, we decided it was time to come and finish off the Roses today.
The weather was not exactly being kind, with Kilcoy Creek flooding and closing the highway in the morning but we weren’t going to let a little water stop us.
The recent rains have also encouraged abundant growth along the roadsides which saw us needing to push our way through knee-high to head-high grass to access many of the hides.
By the end of the day we were pretty much saturated from the thighs down but at least the dreary day seemed to keep both the muggles and creepy crawlies somewhat at bay.
Took a little longer than it should because I was hunting in accordance with the hint but the cache has clearly fallen or moved as it was tucked in at ground level. I left it where I found it as I couldn’t find anywhere to secure it to match the hint. TFTC JACS Team

Found with Peppa, Giraffe ?? 18, 2manytrailers, blkthunder and Catboy67 on our Mega day of attempting to do the entire Rose series. Wish us luck????. Definitely lower than head height ??
With an unusual public holiday announced, a plan was hatched to return to Kilcoy with the goal of finishing the 65 Roses Geoart… we’d last been here in January… so with PirateLinda, Giraffe18, 2manytrailers, Catboy67 and Blkthunder we left home at stupid o’clock this morning in convoy arriving in Kilcoy at 8am… With six of us the caches didn’t stand a chance… logs signed in full or some combination of P, PL, G18, 2MT, CB67 & BT…
Like smallwombat (again) I just couldn’t seem to get the checker to agree… a little back and forth… a little more concentration and it finally fell into place…
Once at GZ I went round with the hint in mind… The hint does not apply at the moment, even for children… AGL…

This one took some time. Both the puzzle and the cache.
The puzzle, as awesome an idea as it is, just wouldn't churn out the right numbers for me.
With a nudge i got there in the end.
Holey moley was that a jam packed month.
The cache itself i'm pretty sure isn't where intended. Unless it's meant to be super hard to find.
A different container than what i was thinking/looking for and the hint works only if it's children.
But i found it! Yahoo.
Although it was one of the last puzzles to unravel, it certainly wasn't one of the last puzzles to find.
Thanks JACS for giving me something to do during lockdown.

I had been going stir crazy locked in the house so intended to take a ride on the BVRT. It was raining near Esk my intended start so I just did a driving loop including a few Roses in Kilcoy.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
Decided to pack up and head north a day earlier as we were no longer dry in our tent. Teamed up with Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing as FAMS) to do the 65 Roses Geo-art and any others in-between before parting ways and caching our way to Maryborough where we will be based for three nights.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

24,384. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33 and Smittengranny to form and sign as FAMS !
Day 7. Enough was enough. We decided that we had had enough of the rain at Dayboro, so we upped stumps a day early and started our journey up to Maryborough via The Roses Geo-Art and a couple more counties. Smittengranny and albida joined us for the Geo-Art. So after packing up the sodden campsite we headed north to Kilcoy after a final trip to the Dayboro Bakery. This was the next stop for the day. This was a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as FAMS, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

Headed to Kilcoy for some flowers with BenM70 and Burgo78 on this wet day.
The area here will look fantastic when the sun comes out over all the green pastures, but today it was really a day to sit in front of a fire.

#10924 - 11:35:00 AM; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series, so we knew we had time to try and complete it before we headed to Dayboro. All up we had 60 finds and four DNFs for the series. Most of the finds were fairly straight forward, while some required a little more effort, reference to hints and/or earlier logs and/or the exercise of the geosenses. Enjoyed the variety of the puzzles and the hides. One left for the return journey to complete the series. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC JACS Team
Day 7 of the trip north with LuckyL10n and today saw us leaving Esk and heading to Dayboro....and finally the cacheQLD Mega. Luckily the event has now got the go ahead and all is good....
Our plan for the day was this series and we simply took our time and got around the caches without to many issues. 4 DNF's in there, but that still meant over 60 finds.
Thanks for the caches and the reason to check out the area JACs Team....

So pleased that we have made it up here. Enjoying exploring the country side with the help of caching. Thanks for the cache.
We didn't get off to a great start on this one as we had a couple of DNF's early but we got better as we got into the trail. We only had time for a few of these but we can say that we enjoyed the variety of hides and except for the dnf's found them to be relatively quick finds. We did find one of the field puzzles and did enjoy that.
At the mega we were told more about the meaning of the 65 roses and thought that it was a lovely idea for a series.
Thanks JACS Team we will have to finish this series off on another visit, please excuse the generic log as all our notes for this series were drowned at Dayboro and we now know our camper has a small leak.

Unfortunately plan A wasn’t able to happen today so that meant I needed a plan B. Having just had some help finishing the puzzles for this geoart, I took the opportunity to turn some of them into smileys. It was a great day driving around Kilcoy making the finds, I didn’t get them all but made a very good dent.
Spent a few minutes searching for this one before finding it on the ground. Put back in the fork of tree.

First day in Kilcoy. We're here to smell the roses, and so far the caches we found are well placed - and they are a joy to find. At our last location we had to wade through head high grass, dodging cobblers pegs, bindeis and spider webs for most caches.

With solved coordinates loaded up we headed to Kilcoy to pick up more smileys in the Roses series. It was a hot day so we were pleased to be in the aircon in the car for a lot of the day. Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for the next of over 120 finds today. We enjoyed the Roses immensely, being decent puzzles and good hides with parking spots (mostly) and accurate coords.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.

After completing the darkside series yesterday and then a boat trip this morning to grab a trad we missed yesterday, it was then to pack up and continue the Rose’s series.
With an email to say the CO was in town doing some maintenance on the series of caches, it gave me a renewed enthusiasm for this series. It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).
With log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one. Thanks for this series I enjoyed it.

It was extremely hot out here today but I had a goal and off I went. Willis007 came along for the drive and just did the caches she had solved, for me I had still three left to get (next time).

Cache replaced. So sad I loved the little critter I had just replaced here. Now it’s just a sad little tube, but it’ll do it’s job until the foliage grows back.
I had recently started working on the 65 Roses puzzles and was in the area this weekend collecting the Dark Side caches. However, this did give me an opportunity to start collecting some of the Rose series puzzles I had already solved.
This is by far one of the best puzzles I have worked on. I loved the idea and working through the information, even though it took forever and wasn't solved until 11.00 at night. A fav from me.
A quick find here today. Log signed, cache replaced as found - all is well with the cache.
Thanks JACS Team for a fantastic puzzle series, and for placing the cache here.

As per the last cacher's comment, this area has also been recently burnt with little foliage left on the shrub or trash on the ground, or evidence of a cache high or low. The deer head was indeed cool - and not all that old - there was still hair on it. TFTH.
The only thing I found here was the lovely horses that came running over to the fence. The whole area here is black burnt to a crisp with some new green shoots of grass but definitely no cache.
Will contact CO re replacing if we are out again before them

This puzzle seemed straight forward and both krcamber and I got the answers but couldn't get anything to work the way we needed it to. Checked and double checked. Spent a heap of time on the phone to each other trying to see the error of our ways, but still nothing. One morning after grabbing a few early caches near krcamber's hood, we sat down at our laptops together and tried everything else we could think of. Still nothing... until krcamber said something about a previous puzzle we'd solved for another series. Oooooh - yes, try that!! Boom! We got was needed and I promptly packed up my gear and left, as she was of no further use to me that day ;-P
At GZ, I knew what to look for after the recent owner maintenance but I still wasn’t expecting it to be as cool as it was! LOVE the guardian. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache

Oh this puzzle had us tearing our hair out. We thought it was going to be straight forward but there was just a little twist that had us stumped for ages. One morning we looked at it with fresh eyes and finally had a new idea - ooooh, could it be??!! YESSSS!! Another great puzzle!
A GREAT cache at GZ!! Love it! TFTPC!

See #23 for full log.
Needed help with this puzzle as I couldn't read some of the notes. Didn't notice the container when I first circled the trees. Noticed it second time and got a stick to double check before reaching for it. TFTC

On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with gridge98 for a few days and travel around the country side checking out new places and also collect a few caches along the way.

This series was solved before departure from Adelaide and was on the cards for today, we managed to find about 1/3 of the caches before DNFing 2 so after that we left it as we knew we would have to return to complete it one day.
Most of the caches are in good condition although some of the field puzzles were broken and some of the caches were missing bits and pieces of there containers.
Overall a good series and a bit of fun.
On a holiday to Queensland to meet up with my two younger brothers (JL Rockstar) for a holiday/caching trip, a 4 day adventure that started with some disasters but slowly got better throughout which ended on a high.
Travelling up to tin can bay and Gympie, our to Kilroy and south west out to Ipswich.
Overall a great trip away with a total of 79 finds excluding the almost 50 labs found.
Thanks for the cache and it’s placement.

Had a couple of message that I dictated his might be gone. Came in a maintenance run and couldn’t find it myself so have replaced it with an interesting container - don’t get freaked out!!
There was alot of traffic on this country road and we parked opposite and managed to dodge the traffic to get to gz. I was lucky to spot this cache on approach. The puzzle took alot of work to solve. I picked it up lots of times until I finally figured it out. Very enjoyable puzzle and nice spot for a hide. Thankyou
I spent the last morning of our Sunshine Coast holiday out in the country, tackling the second "half" of the 65 Roses geo-art. I thoroughly enjoyed the scenic drive this series took me on and my thanks go to Jacs Team for putting together this geo-art series for us all to enjoy.
Early start to the series this morning. Quickly grabbed the Trads before collecting the fruits of our efforts the past few months! Thanks for all the help and being the navigator Simba15

An early and foggy start today heading to Kilcoy, coords spot on which was so nice thanks JACS Team SL TFTC
After battling with [B)] and finally solving the last few puzzles, today was the perfect day to head back to the hillsides around Kilcoy and pick up the last few Roses . Coords are all spot on and most were found quickly, though we did leave a couple of blue sad faces behind. A fun day was had and many thanks to JACS Team for an excellent series of puzzles, caches, hides and adventures. TNLNSL TFTC .
Today we tackled this series, with an early start we worked our way around the country side finding the solved puzzles.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks JACS Team for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

TFTC. Teamed up with snakepiters to both solve and find these caches. Great bunch of puzzles to solve and get some new skills up. Have loved reading the story behind these caches.
Now only a day away from home and stopped by here to complete the Roses Geoart. Staying at the Showgrounds and dodging the rain clouds today. Teamed up with Cheekybum_15 to do the Kilcoy caches.

I was out for a drive in the country after my morn ing brew and headed for an event at Esk and decided to grab a few caches in the Roses series on my way past and this was one of them.
Once at GZ it was a short search and the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

A day out with the Bromance saw a lot of laughs, plenty of caches including the Rose Geo Art, a lot of rubbish picked up along the way and heaps of fun. Sorry it has taken so long to log these, they were found way back in March! No excuse for not logging really - just a bit lazy I guess. Great fun, cheers.
Crookedpete was the inspiration behind our trip to Kilcoy today. With his cache count odometer slowly ticking its way towards 5000, he was keen for a sugar hit to his finds tally. I have been eyeing off this series of caches on and off for a while now, and CP's need was the impetus to get us out here. Before we could though we had to set about solving some puzzles. I had a few solutions already stored away but a mad bout of puzzle solving was required in the week before departure. I managed to solve all but a few, with the others in the Bromanceketeers filling the gaps.
An enjoyable day was had by all and our tally of caches was equalled by our haul of recyclable containers which we picked up along the roadside at each cache. We signed the logbbook with "Bromance" to save space not to mention time and our sanity. Thank you for your efforts in laying this trail of caches.

With plans being tentatively formulated for my next milestone, I needed to get a few numbers under the belt (lest the entire year slips away before I get to said milestone.)
Despite all of the Bromance (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and myself) having lost our power trail mojo, Seffnjarah suggested the Kilcoy rose series for a morning Bromance road trip. With a hot day forecast, we hit the road early at SeffnStupid o'clock and had the first cache completed just as the sun peaked over the horizon. The last for the day was signed before noon.
The series had a good variety of clever hides - difference styles of micros were found on both the left and right hand side of various road signs, the occasional ammo can made an appearance, we managed a few simple tree climbs and the best of all - we managed to collect three rarer large size caches today! Hooray!
Along the way, we all collectively did our part for the environment and CITO'd a good size bin full of cans, plastic and glass bottles from almost every cache we visited. The tally for the day was 65 containers recycled (one for every rose!). With thanks to the cash for cans scheme, the Bromance slush fund balance now sits at $6.50, which should buy about 4 litres of diesel. Doesn't sound too impressive, but we were collectively proud of our efforts.
Fungus must have head butted this head high one before he found it. Logs were mostly signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks JACS Team for placing this cache.

After presenting my work to the CO, I had most of what was needed but the error of my ways was also pointed out to me. A bit more work and I soon had what was needed.

Rolling back to Brissy after an overnight stay out west and a break in the clouds. Much cooler today and happy to report we have had rain at Cooyar Kilcoy a perfect break in the drive and trying to crack 5k for the Mega, which may or may not happen
No probs with the puzzles and most were fun and solved easily. Co-solved with Ruzzelz and occasional nudge required on the tricky blighters. Fun puzzle and FAVE point for something a bit different I tried to do something similar (medical theme) a while back but didn’t get it off the planning desk. As the CO is, arguably, closer to the ground than me and I’m not that high, the hint gave me an idea where to look for a quick find

Did you see they made round bails of hay illegal in Wisconsin? It’s because the cows weren’t getting a square meal.

Boxing Day and the 28th of Dec were our days to complete and finalize this beautiful series. A day of inspiring music and drinks at Woodford in between sweetened this geoart. Thanks for all the efforts and great variety of puzzles and cache locations / types. We are very familiar with all the roads around the township now as we drove most of them twice and the farmers started greeting us when they saw our little blue car.
