Definitely missing. I thought I had a spare somewhere but haven't found it yet. Working on it.
M and I looked for ages in, out, high, low, under and over but we found nothing. Beeba came over to help as she had already found the cache but it definitely didn't seem to be there. It looks like we were not the first DNF so it might be worth the CO checking it out.
We stopped because of the great background information about this cave - thanks! Unfortunately the cache must be anthrophobic and refused to be found. Now reading past logs, seems it has a tendency to drop out of reach unless you jump the fence?
Sorry for the late log. I'd forgotten to get the cache list off the old GPS after semi-retiring it. TFTC. Hope it gets replaced.
A relatively quick find in an interesting spot.
Thanks for the history- great info that I haven't come across before
Log is quite damp and almost full so a replacement may be in order soon.

Another beaut day, putting in some miles, finding some more caches. What more could you want? Bit of a mixed bag here on Sumner, but I got this one. Looks real too, glad it's not!Cheers
Geocaching around Christchurch with woolwood9.
We soon had the container found. SL: **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for putting this out for us to visit, we enjoyed the drive / walk around!*
No need to jump the fence - scary little fellow is hidden as per the hint.

Haha the cache container is fun! Gave Mrs Weka a start when she found it! Nice little hide & found after a short search on a little caching trip with Weka today TFTC
Some interesting information about the cave, but it took us a wee while to locate this rather fun hide. Found with Juju54. TFTC
Easy find after a bike ride out to Sumner and back. Gorgeous day. Wind picking up only on our last third of the way home.
Did there used to be a cache here? I just dont recall looking for back in the day. Amazing how little one can see now after the trees have been given 10 years uninterrupted.
Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
A nice quick find here whilst on a training run from our nearby accommodation, thx to the good hint. TFTC

Cool camo ..you need to jump the fence to look ...I found the co ords around 7 to 8mts out..it is easy once you get the correct spotthanks for the novel hide those nanos are evil devices
We initially looked a few meters away as that is where our gps took us but the hint didnt feel right. On moving further along the hint made sense and the arachnid phobia began. Great camo. Thanks for bringing us here
Took me a little longer than it should have, I was overthinking it.
Great bit of camo!

Team BOP on another crazy mission to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.
So it's Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission and on our last day we're having a wander around the Port Hills before we head to the airport. We have a lot of caches to choose from today and we're looking to spend some of our freshly acquired favourite points. This cache took a little work and wasn't found till after we'd jumped the fence for a decent look around the back. Eventually found on the ground but we were just happy that it was sorted. Replaced as per hint. Cheers Rincewind3 & TFTC

As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. Yes not keen on these either but good to find TFTC
With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles, and some others along the way. So here we are today being our final day before heading back up North.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Came back for another look and really hoped we would find you this time. Yes oh what joy we found the clever cache. Actually happy to have you in my hand, would not normally want this in my hand at all. Thanks for this cache Rincewind3.
This was a really fun find, and I loved reading about the history of the nearby cave!
Super cool cache too, little bit scary if you touch before seeing!

A fun find today while on a walk around Redcliffs. I enjoyed reading the information on the cache page but just wanted to ask about the landslide in the Discovery section: 1400-1500 BC doesn't sound right, should that be AD? TFTC, we liked this one!
A quick find here today. A very expertly crafted container. Much enjoyed; a favourite. TFTC!
In Christchurch for a couple of days, visiting my elderly mother. Returning home from a walk on the beach at Sumner, when I decided to stop to see if I could find this one. Took just a moment or two. Not quite what I was expecting! #3241. TFTC.
Tftc! What a great hide! I semi freaked when my fingers felt it and again, hand sans in hand
The magic force dropped it to the ground, found it in the bark. Good to have found it as it makes the leap... (leap year)
I have tried to find this cache before with no luck but today it only took a moment. I have a lot of these items at home.
It turns out the cache *was* still there, just not attached. I've replaced it with a "stronger" version. Fingers crossed it lasts.
Out and about today doing a few nearby caches. 3 finds and 3 DNFs - this was one of the DNFs. Same lack of success as for the previous hide here. Thanks anyway. Rodney and Iris.
GeoFoxy has arrived to stay with me before her cruise so what better way to see our City but by caching - headed out towards Sumner and over the hill to Lyttelton and back again to home.
GeoFoxy found this one but not where the hint item suggested - think this might need a repair as far as how the invisible force holds it in place.

The CO might like to check on this as the invisible force is no longer working
Here from USA. Out enjoying your beautiful country. KCN is a great guide. I am the reason she is a catcher. Really love spending time with her. TFTC
Thanks Rincewind what an awesome wee cache. It gets a favourite from us as this was the first cache we’ve found, disused then found again with more open eyes lol awesome camo
Checked several different places before I rechecked the one I kept coming back to and there it was all the time. Not sure how I missed it before. nice wee hide here thanks Rincewind3. TFTC # 14,389
Found the second time around, very awesome cache and I don’t know how I missed it last time. TOTT helped out with finding the cache. TFTC #140
In ChCh for a memorial and work event, out with cousin SharonGilmore walking and caching for the day. Lovely weather, bit brisk. Tftc
A quick bit of night caching around Redcliffs. This one was an unlogged DNF in the past while I had my five year old son with me. Tonight I had the time and the torch. Took a while. I got the hint from TW's log. Aha. Spotted the cool container. FP for that one. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2099
More maintenance here. The "camo" was missing entirely this time so I found a replacement. I've used superglue but please ensure you hold the lid below the camo to avoid twisting it off.
The top "thing" is almost falling off. It may need to be re-glued! Loved ths cache. Thank you
"Camo" glued back on, and container replaced where it should be.
Please remember to hold the lid, not the "camo", when opening.

Tftc!! Thanks for bringing us here.. nice wee find.. wanted to find one of these for a while
Took a bit of time and a sit down and "think about it" moment. Very smiley find. TFTH
Great cache! Definite fav point from us, cheers. Used an insects leg to extract log.
I was in the neighbourhood doing some cache maintenace and stopped by after a walk up the hill. It took a bit to locate. I was in the right spot straight off and resisted the temptation on hopping the fence. I ended up popping up and having a look over the fence and spotted what I missed by a fraction. When I took the log out where did it fall? Of course it fell on the other side. I ended up hopping over the fence to retrieve the cache. Nice cache, fav from me. I never got the chance to pop into this cave. Have been through Moa Cave a few times.
Thanks for the cache Rincewind3.

A Father's Day walk with JDScout, not my Dad but the father of my 3 sons. Thanks for creating this geocache.

Not quite as big as the cave up the hill and a pity I never took the chance to have an explore pre quakes. Oh well, it's got a flash fence now. Cheers
Passing by so thought I'd have another go at this one. Found it quickly this time. Nice container. TFTC.
Great hide and good to have a cache back here. Took a while, but finally get our hand on the price. TFTC
A quick and easy find. Thanks
We went for a Saturday afternoon drive. I never knew that there was a cave here.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Thanks for the great cache, Rincewind3. Out for the day with purdiepurdie (as you know!); we decided to head for Godley Heads & found a few cahes on the way. This was tricky, then there it was.
Thanks for the cache and for showing us this cave - of course we had no idea it existed ! A favourite point from me.

Found with StreetWalker on a lovely winters day after a geocaching trip to Taylors Mistake and Godley Head.
Our walk had taken a bit longer than anticipated, so we looked for a couple of drive bys to do on the way home. Apparently I found the cache that was here previously, but it was so long ago, I have no memory of it. Thanks for bringing me back here and TFTC.

TFTC. The target area for kotukuSI and I today was Godley Head. We decided to stop here and have a look. This was a KSI special - we couldn’t locate the cache and then somehow it magiced into her hand.
Cool cache.
Thanks Rincewind3 for placing the cache.

#15865. I looked on the wrong side at first (must have been tired after our long walk). Even after switching to the correct side, it still took a bit of groping to find. Next problem was getting the log out. In the end the fine tip of a pen was up to the task. TFTC.
Found today while out walking with my mother. I grew up around here and studied archaeology at uni so it's history, - or prehistory, was familiar to me. It took a bit of searching to find the cache today and in the end I had to resort to reading though past logs for a clue. Tftc!
While hunting around at GZ,we had the pleasure of meeting a new Geocacher, and chatted for awhile. It was so nice to meet Refloggolfer..
Womble Terry finally had the cute cache in his hand, and once our names were signed,it was carefully put back.TFTH

We ran our hands all over the gates and the fence and were close to giving up when GM spotted it, after stepping up and looking over the fence.
We weren't too sure if it was meant to be on the ground like that but left it same way we found it.

Just couldn't lay my hands on this one. The area stunk of weedkiller though so I didn't make too much effort. I will return.
To keep up with my personal challenge of achieving a minimum of 10 caches finds per day I needed to find 7 caches today. After perusing a map of my Christchurch unfounds it seemed that tramp up to Evans Pass and back from Sumner would fulfill my most of my requirements.
With 6 of my targeted caches for the day in the bag there just remained this P&G cache. A quick stop, a quick grab, a quick sign and I was on my way home with today's caching mission complete. Thanks for your caches today MIke..

Found this incredibly interesting. Never knew this cave existed!!! My father used to talk about the rifle range, (WW2) which is now Barnett Park. Quite a dangerous cave now, I guess. That little critter was really hard to spot. Needed our dentist's tool to remove the log. Thanks for all the info.
Coming back from FTFing a whare in Taylors Mistake....rude not to stop by. An interesting cache to find at night by feel alone! Nice one.
Woohoo Our second first to find! Found at 6:06 pm . Sitting at home, heard the email come in, and was like , yay, my cache has been published, oh look there’s another new one two kilometres away, come Mr CatseyesNZ this is going to be ours! Tftc
