Really cute hiding spot!Wish I brought more trinkets, the poor container was looking a bit bare!w/ ne
We found it lying on the ground in the bushes about 30m from its location and put it where it was supposed to be
Found it! After finding the cache near the cottage Muggle Heather and I enjoyed a short walk across the hillside to the next cache. There were lots of family groups having picnics and bbqs but fortunately GZ was clear. Once at GZ it was Muggle Heather who made the quick find. TFTC SL
A day trip to Yan Yean Reservoir, the Whittlesea area and finishing up at Mason Falls with our caching friends. After morning tea at the Reservoir we sought out a couple of the nearby caches, this being one of them and it didn't take too long before we had the cache in hand. TFTC TNLN SL
Having a well deserved day out with our caching mates, first one for the day in a lovely spot.

Friends of ours suggested a day out to visit the Yan Yean Reservoir and Whittlesea area and of course, seek out a few caches as well. The reservoir seemed like a good place to launch our "tour" so after enjoying a cup of coffee and a piece of cake my mates missus had made we started to look for any nearby caches. This was the first find of the day. Interesting hide location too - it certainly favours those with some gynecological training!

Lovely view. Here with grandkids looking for Treasure! Left some goodies. Thanks for the pleasure of "Treasure Hunting" ,
Out and about to burn some energy and let my partner finish her assignment, we decided to solve another cache near by and as per usual we realised far too late that we didn’t have the right tools for the job. Thankfully we managed to get out of the mud, only to hike up this hill!? No one told me geocaching meant I had to exercise! I demand a refund.
With that aside, we managed to crawl ourselves to the cache and find it with ease, now I just need to remember where I parked my car.. TFTC

Find No. 4215. Found with FUF009 at 9.38am.
Another day trip to Whittlesea to see if we can finish off caches we still have to find in this area.
Three months ago, back in March we done a day trip and found quite a few caches, but we still had quite a few to find, so today we hope to get most of these finished. FUF 009 came with us.
Back then we were in our van, today we are in FUF009's ute, that will go places that our van won't.
The plan today was to drive around and get as many caches as possible within daylight hours.
At the Yan Yean Reservoir, we managed to find all the caches in the area we had to find..
Such a lovely area to come to. Great picnic area but not for us today. Also great views from the top area.
After we found this cache it was then time to do the Adventure Lab.

Out with master 6 year old grandson doing a spot of ‘treasure hunting’. Nice view from here. TFTC
Found with icw. A bloke approached us and asked if we had seen a Yorkshire terrier. I was rather surprised as he already had two dogs with him. Fortunately I had seen the pooch as it wore a day-glow pink jacket. I had noticed it down the hill and was able to reunite, man, two dogs and Yorkshire terrier. Tftc.
It is always nice, signing a fresh crisp log. Thanks for the hide and the adventure.
It was decided that I would meet memorychip at the Mernda Bunnings and we would attempt to work our way through the caches that have been placed out this way.
Nice little hiding place here! Great spot here, I'll be back.
Thanks for the hide

Spending some time at the reservoir with the kids & of course collecting a few caches whilst there, this was the next find whilst exploring the area... We parked nearby & wandered over to this one before taking a walk along the dam wall Another quick find here.
TFTC amygvsl [^] What a nice viewpoint!

This was one of the caches we did in a afternoon.
We probably cycled about 8 km and did all the gadget caches and the yyrs. Tftc

TwoEms can confirm that the cache vessel is damaged and needs some due attention. The swaps are currently housed in a zip-lock bag which is precariously wedged in the hiding place. There are also two notebooks inside which caused some confusion as to which one to write the log entry in. After all this kerfuffle, we did take a moment to look at the view. Thank you for the cache.
Quick find while in the Whittlesea area. Last time we were here it was the MEGA and it had been pouring with plenty of water everywhere. Seeing the spillway and some of the aquaducts flowing in the area was truly special. This cache was a quick find and sign but I think it needs maintenance. There was zip lock bag jammed in the tree and a geocaching container on the ground nearby. Thank you amy.gvsi for the hide. The location was great.
I was over in the Yan Yean area chasing caches and I wanted a couple more in the Whittlesea LGA for a couple of challenges I am working on. As you could imagine on a public holiday weekend, the place was crawling with muggles. After giving up without even looking on the two caches closest to the entry, I move on to the two deep into the park.
This cache was an easy find... too easy in fact! the container was laying on the ground and the zip-lock bag was jammed in the tree. I put it back as best I could... but serious attention is required.
Thanks **amygvsl** for the cache.

I have taped the lid but this container will need to be replaced on my next visit.
Nice quick find after not having the tools for a nearby one. Thanks for being me to this location.
TFTC Have not been here before so was nice to have a reason for visiting. Nice easy cache for the kids! The cap is broken though so container is due for replacing (or at least just the cap).
A return trip to Whittlesea to try and collect the remaining caches from the Compass GeoArt series and anything else that took our fancy.
Being in the vicinity, it was a quick climb up the hill to find a well concealed cache. As others have mentioned, the lid is broken, however the contents are fine.
Thank you amygvsl for bringing us to this location. These views are stunning.

Disturbed a bunch of ants and one spider getting this guy out! Easily found though, was worried the clue looked a bit non-specific but it was pretty obvious in the end cheer
Great spot near the Yan Yean Reservoir. The cache is a great size for swaps TFTC!
Nice hide. We were looking in the wrong location then turned around and found it straight away.
Nice easy find although well hidden from view. Quick find in between the showers no problem with muggles today they are sensibly home in the warm and dry
This Event the Whittlesea Mega has been on and off for a long time due to that rotten COVID-19. The sad part is that due to MND I really think this will be my last Mega as I am in the area for a week thanks to my two great SA friends who travelled from SA visiting Ballarat for a couple of days and then moved down to Geelong only to pick me up and we are staying in Craigieburn for a week and then they are taking me back to Geelong. It’s generosity like that Geocaching folk are renowned for, plus all the help that I have received in the past few days which I will be forever grateful. We logged this guy on the 18th November.
I was back in Whittlesea again today soon after the MEGA, on a bus driving job.
Parking the bus, I headed out on the bike to search out some caches.
After admiring the view, I inspected some likely spots and discovered a very nicely concealed container.
Part of the lid is missing, but the contents were all dry and in good condition.

Out with echidna44. What a view from here!! We had to stop and have lunch looking out on the beautiful scenery
With lovely weather at last, we had a full day caching with pinnacle333 in the Whittlesea area.
After finding the cache, we stopped here to have lunch and admire the view. Thanks amygvsl.

The cool breeze off the reservoir was very pleasant for the walk yo this cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. Unfortunately the lid of the container is badly damaged nut on the positive side the gontents are in very good condition. Thanks for the cache at Yan Yean Reservoir.
Returning to the area today with some unfinished business. For some reason, I didn’t get much caching done last weekend.
Stopped to pat a gorgeous border collie on the way here.
The lid is damaged, but the cache and logbook are nice and dry.
Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, amygvsl ??

out and about with Lil Rafa caching for the Mega Whittlesea Event. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache amygvsl.
Well we were nearby so decided to take a short walk to grab this one as well. If it wasn't for the weather we would have kept going to make a few more finds. Will have to return one day.
Visiting the Whittlesea Mega event with RLD4963 from Hobart. It was another day of dodging the rain showers - but sometimes we just couldn't - so glad we brought our gumboots over from Tassie.

Day 13/14/15/16 of our Whittlesea Road Trip and well worth the drive down from the northern rivers of NSW. Other then weather which has been challenging for us northerners, the caches have been great to find both in town and around the countryside. Thanks to all the COs - you have done a fantastic job!
Still here at the mega at Whittlesea we have found a few more in the area and this was one of them.
We had a great tour around the country side finding pre solved caches and others along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners whose caches we found today.

Found this while attending the Whittlesea mega.
Depending on the log size and who I was with this is signed as nikid1, ND1 or TQ5 (team Queensland).
One of the last areas before our trip comes to an end.

We were heading home from the Mega and joined Dromaniax, Neville_devil and Sims_family for a few more caches on the way home.
The weather was fantastic so we decided to head to the reservoir and find a few caches and complete an Adventure Lab.
The views around the reservoir were terrific, and we needed to walk a little more than we anticipated due to road works.
We found the cache in excellent condition.
Thank you amygvsl for this traditional cache.
