Logs
13:52We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!Decided to give this DR1.5 a miss after about 15 minutes of looking.Anyway, thanks OZGrumpy for bringing us to this location. *This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
The closest my GPS got was 3m.So I searched through the grass and nearby bushes. Still no luck, re-read the description.Light bulb moment, started searching nearby tree branches. Still nothing.Checked out previous logs, hoping for a clue. There's a reason I don't play golf. Colour blind. Thanks for cache anyway.
After DNFing this cache last week, I happened to bump into the CO at a lunch event..so I cornered him The CO then visited the cache a couple of days later and confirmed it was still there and in play - yep I must have missed it I had today off work, so headed down Murray Bridge for a few caches and on my way home decided to have another crack at this one.Today, with better light and a little intel from the CO, the cache was in hand very quickly (must have had my eyes closed like a newborn baby when I searched here the first time )A very nice hide with a deal of craftsmanship to create, deserving of a favourite point me thinks TFTC
Sadly Im registering a DNF here My phone had me in a clear grassed area with a choice of 4 bushes around me.None of those bushes turned up a prize for me, but in my defence the light was fading very quickly..but I did find 3 golf balls Guess Ill be back another day to look again TFTC
TFTC! Took us about 15 minutes but after finally thinking to actually look at the description, we found it. Nice container but might need a bit of painting.
Great cache. Thankfully was in direct eyeshot when I approached GZ.Love the effort. Great spot too.TFTC
Loved crawling through the bushes haha after 20 minutes of hunting we found it! Owner really helpful too if ya need some help like us
Visiting my sister at the hospital across the street, but had a little spare time to go searching for geocache. No problems here.My first cache for 2024!
After spending 15 minutes looking in all the wrong places I gave up and asked OG for assistance who thankfully set me right! I was so close yet so far! Got within a metre of the awesome hide! There were still several golfers around at 6.30pm who appreciated me giving them 6 golf balls I found whilst searching!TFTC!
Oh heck yes. Even after finding my way deep inside a bush unnecessarily, satisfaction level is high. TFTC!! I’m leaving a favourite point here.
Honestly, I’m glad that the photo (which turns out to be a spoiler) a few logs down didn’t load for me, because seeing that would have ruined the find.
Suspect it's deep inside the bushes. Just return with appropriate crawling attire.
Found whilst out caching with a group from Adelaide Social Events
this one took us the longest to find tonight - 9 people crawling under spiky bushes - looks like some sort of animal lives in the bushes - we were about to give up when a person in our group yelled out "found it" - hint like a Xmas decoration

Goldy is town for the early birds event and is collecting a few caches while the area is muggle free.
Unfortunately this one appeared hard in the dark and the GPS was not being my friend.
I didn't have a good look around. Another day.
All we have here is a stray Goldy.
Thanks anyway OZGrumpy.

After a red hot go lasting thirty minutes, all I found was a brick after searching all around.
Not a DNF! Scrap that! From some help by a determined owner, I found it. Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy.
Good to go.
After repeated muggling, I have made this hide harder. But not saying anymore, in case the muggles are reading this.

Seems how I parked near here thought I would wonder over to log a cache on this special day.
Had my own stray ball story as my car was hit by a golf ball just as I was setting out to find the cache.
Sorry says the guy I have never hit a car before.

Thanks OZGrumpy for taking care of the maintenance on this. Let’s hope this cache now has a long life. ️
Sad face for me.
I did find a hollowed out piece of wood with a tether attached, but no cache container inside.

This hide has been completely refreshed, two new containers. Different bush, easier to be stealthy. After losing two outer camo items, I have lashed this to the bush/branch so hopefully it will remain a while. Enjoy, cache on.
Geo senses helped find this one with Peas&CarrotsForever, keep an eye out on stray golf balls & muggles.
Yay. Found it. Many thanks for the smiley!
I set out at dusk to check out a puzzle cache not far away that required a torch (and a ladder possibly). Well it wasn’t where I was expecting it and my batteries were flat (not my fault poop)
Being international geocaching day I couldn’t go home empty handed (I had even pre cooked dinner). Then I remembered this one and a failed attempt while the monkey was having some day surgery. Just me, an old man and his dogs and many stray balls on the fairway. Just left there. Weird. Found a container I would expect to find across the road and it had geocache written on it, and names in it so I hope it was the cache. Lovely viewing spot for the city lights (and tonight floodlit by the crows game). My find came with cheers of the crowd and I scurried back to the car in the rain, dodging stray balls and lightening on the hills.
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been set for October 2nd 2021 now. Have a look at GC82DAN.

After a thwack in the eye by a vengeful spike-bush, my torch was instrumental in locating this ‘yellow’ with envy cache. TFTC!
The joys of being a teacher, the holidays and some time to just relax and go caching. I had some great company and managed to get a few off my map that have been there for a while.

With a day off work we decided a day in town and more specifically around North Adelaide to clear off a few solved puzzles and gather a few multis, met up with mattycat two sets off eyes are better than one. Took a extended loop walk around the area as there were plenty of balls on the fairway with quite a few slicing in off towards the cache, found the cache after a short search but had to keep a weary eye out as we signed the log

Beautiful location to have cause to walk around. Cache an easy find just a few metres from where our gps had GZ. TFTC
Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy, found with conardel. First find for us since COVID quarantine! Glad to be back. - webbers
The green ball (and cache camo) mysteriously vanished. Perhaps it grew legs and thwacked off. New camo in place. Cache on.
I'd had an essential medical appointment today and as Rex had been patiently waiting, I brought him into a nice grassy area to have a run to make up for the wait[^]
There just happened to be a few caches that needed to be found, too
When we finished cacheing at 8:15pm it was dark and cold and time for home
2 DNFs and 6 finds including a couple of OzGrumpy caches that I've been watching since they came out, so that was cool
Finally got into here and while Rex had a blast sniffing the scents and chasing fox and rabbit trails, I got wet feet and legs finding the cache
The cache was a VERY easy find, sadly, as someone had left it in the open
After later contact with the CO, it seemed they'd stolen the camo too[:(!][:(!]

Out and about with bektheraccoon getting some adventure lab caches (while we still can). TFTC
This is the first time I’ve walked past the clubhouse since the early 70’s, when I would caddy for my dad on the South Course on a Saturday afternoon. Memories!
Great cache! Thank you OzGrumpy!

In Adelaide for work and enjoyed a stroll around the area collecting some containers after work. TFTC
Adelaide Trip Day 12. After a peaceful night of fireworks, I headed to North Adelaide to do the newest Adventure lab set of 10 caches. There were a few issues, but the CO sorted them out promptly and it was completed successfully. Along the way I stopped and did as many of the local caches I could before heading off to lunch.
Thanks.

The phone had me walking in circles.
Luckily I brought Unicorn Girl (Geodaughter) with me.
She found it straight away.

08.11.19 tftc May have upset a few go fors as I was walking around aimlessly a fellow said we are going to hit it off, not sure how he knew I make friends easily, but according to FB I have 3 friends so don’t need any more, I continued on my mission
Found whilst walking around North Adelaide before walking the Yorke. TFTC
Spent longer than we should have trying to find this one. Luckily we didn’t have to dodge any shots, as the rain was keeping most people inside today. TFTC
We found lots of stray balls here but none of them were the cache. Eventually the camouflage was spotted and we were able to sign the log. TFTC
Mr Tardis and Mrs Scoobster were on a caching run this afternoon. We found this one after a short search.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy.

Some free time on a sunny, all be it windy afternoon, meant that it was time for some caching. I decided to head out to some previously un charted territory in North Adelaide to start clearing out that area. Despite the quite chilly breeze that was present for most of the afternoon, it was still quite pleasant. All caches that were targeted this afternoon were found quickly and in good condition, though the occasional scratch from a tree was taken and care was used around the odd itchy pod tree. An enjoyable afternoon all together, even if I did have to fight rather terrible traffic on the way home.

We had seen this cache and another nearby pop up some time ago at the Flog course and thought we would eventually get to play this course again as one of our few chosen clubs.
After catching our breath from the treacherous 17th heart attack hill hole the Adder pulled out his 7 iron and put his ball about 1 meter from the pin. A good shot, now to grab a cache on the way from the tee to the green. With a kind of impatient muggle golf partner in tow the find took a little longer than it should as our phone took us all around GZ. Plus the Adder had lost his glasses somewhere on the course which made reading the compass difficult.
The cache was found however and re hidden as found (a nice bit of cammo on the cache).
Now to finish the final 18th hole which did not end well. 4 putts later the little ball went into the hole, Grrr.
The 18th green is always kept in pristine condition and mowed low so it is always faster than the rest of the course. Probably because that is the green they use for advertising and wedding photo's.
Oh well 96 was the score for the day. It could have been worse, a lot worse.

There were over a hundred stray balls as we walked across the practice fairway towards this cache - luckily no-one was adding to the collection around us as we walked. Once near GZ, it took a minute or two of hunting before the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks OZGrumpy for the cache.
The “dimpled yellow” will soon be an endangered species as a lot of angry men are chasing them with sticks

Great cameo which when I saw it I knew I was in the correct place. So many yellow balls around, picture doesn’t do it justice TFTC
An easy walk across the fairway to a bush that would be the most likely place I would hit a ball if I was playing golf revealed an easy find. TFTC OZGrumpy.

I had left my lunch at home today, so once on my bike, it was a good excuse to grab some caches in the area. At GZ, the coordinates seemed really bouncy, and so I had to look through 3-4 tree bushes before looking in the right one. However, it was immediately obvious when I had nailed the right bush. Very nice camouflage, and cache subsequently found, thanks OZGrumpy!
Tftc cute find that is so obvious once you’re looking at it but until then ... ha ha
"Hey, how come there are a lot of yellow golf balls where I'm walking? Far out! I better shimmy on and quick". It took longer to find than it took me to cross the practice fairway! Thanks OZGrumpy.
