Logs
Was dropping off some recycling at earthlink and seemed a shame not to have a quick geocaching excursion while in the area . Tftc
A nice quick find for a dot day after having to pass 3 other caches due to roadworks. TFTC
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** for the dayQuick find here today another dot day done All in good order, sign log book as **taybee (** *joint sign* **TB's** or **taybee / nz )** TFTC Cache was found at **27/02/2024 @ 14:40:00**
A nice quick park and grab. In one way time has done the cache a favour, it now blends well with its surroundings. Container is missing its lid but everything remains nice nice and dry due to its positioning, and log is double bagged. Now tucked away again and all good to go. TFTC
Quick stop off the train on my way to Titia cemetery which is in naenae not as the name suggests in Titia.
See you at the dead center

JUST made it to this cache on a dying Lime scooter. All is well though it's a smidge rusty. Wanted to wander up the track but didn't dare. Tftc!
A quick find at GZ. Tin is in very poor condition, full of water, rusted and no lid. Left old baggy and log in the tin, and placed new baggy with rite in the rain paper for future finders. TFTC
Out with my nephew. Haven't been to this part of town for a while. Log to wet to sign, took a photo. Great hide, it has blended in well.
I found this cache a few days go and then cycled to the train, but we had busses replacing trains and the replacement bus could not take my bike so I cycled into Wellington to place my new cache, then cycled out to Lower Hutt to sort out the next placement and... I have a flat tyre! Ended up having to walk home. So what with getting home late than expected and trying to repair the tyre I forgot to log this cache. I could not find any puncture, so figured it might be a slow leak. Pumped the tyre up, next day it felt flat. Slow leak? Or I didn't pump it hard enough? Pumped it up some more. Today it feels good, so... how did I get a flat tyre in the first place???
i don’t know how long it’s been but the container is all rusty and broken. rip. fun though 10000/10000
A quick easy find as we slowly add to our collection of GROET caches. Unfortunately the cache was very rusty, and the lid broke off as we opened it, and disappeared in the undergrowth, where we couldn't find it. We put the damp log in a plastic bag, with a sachet of silica gel, and replaced the cache in such a way that the log should be secure, and water will not enter the lidless container. TFTC
I was due to host an event a little later today in Lower Hutt, which under the current Delta Level 2 Covid-19 restrictions was destined to be an interesting exercise, but before then I had a bit of time to pop out and try and grab a handful of caches, including this one.
Being a Saturday morning, the area around GZ was probably quieter than it would normally be, so I was able to park up and walk over to investigate without drawing any attention to myself. Probably just as well as I made a bit more of a meal of finding this one than perhaps it deserved, but I'll just put that down to being a bit rusty after not being able to go out caching much over the last month or so.
Once found, the logsheet was found to be completely soaked. But it is waterproof paper, so a bit of a quick dry-out and I was able to add my name to it before replacing everything as found. Sorry I didn't have a spare plastic bag on me, but one would certainly not go amiss here. Not so much a "Needs Maintenance" as "Needs a little TLC"
Thanks for setting this cache up.

Found this! Alot easier after reading below comments. Cache has not been replaced so is rusted and log too wet to sign. Photo attached
Quick and easy find, but the container is rusted through and the lid has come off. The log sheet was pretty damp as well. Did with Mycro Man and Ezratar on way to Maidstone Max today
Easy find. Metal is rusted out so may need replacing soon. Signed as D37 and photo for just in case. Tftc
Spotted on my way up the hill but left until the return journey to allow a man and his van further down the road to move on. TFTC
Out in the Hutt Valley this afternoon and grabbing a few caches. In the right place to make a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
I found this on the way back from the cache up the road. A fairly straight forward find (no snails today) but a lot of rubbish to walk through - not a very nice site, one I'd probably give a miss if it weren't part of a series.
After getting the end of year souvenir it was only right we also got the start of year souvenir also. Heading out after dark we were hoping for a quick easy find and it was in the first place we looked. TFTC.
I found the snails. Unfortunately you have to pull up where they congregate to release the cache
# 1367 I had already sussed out the location of this one on a previous visit and was leaving it for a day when I needed a quick find to keep the numbers ticking over. Today was that day. Extremely quiet around GZ during the evening on a Sunday, which is just the way i like it. Cache is all good inside and in a nice little nook. Cheers Glad NZ for another one of this series.
Find #3058. Caching day on the bike, completing 38kms around Lower Hutt, with the weather undecided if it wanted to be hot or cold, sunny or cloudy, but definitely windy from the SW.
Not very picturesque in Page Grove despite the name. Hardest part of this cache was detaching the magnetic force from the steel. SL TFTC

checked around where the gps had me at 1m and found nothing, ok go try the next cache nearby, on the way back i tried again here, extended my search to about 10-15m and found the blighter, tftc
we went for a walk in the morning and came here to find the box...thanks for showing
Cool location I wasn’t aware of a race track so really keen to come back and see the action
A surprisingly busy little piece of tarmac, but easy to be discreet while filling out the log out of sight. Not my favourite spot, and a bit smelly today.
Still, I wouldn't have known what was down here so, TFTC!

After an enjoyable morning walking on the Rata St track we meandered our way back towards the MEGA headquarters via a few more caches of course
To be honest I can't really remember this one too well. The problem with doing so many caches in one weekend. As I was driving I relied on my trusty geocaching partner to keep a record of our caches today.
Thanks for setting this up GLAD-NZ

Well what a great start to te weekend with a truck tipping over on the main motor way and having to detour through Masterton way instead and only just making the Fish and Chip event last night what a great turnout, we were also lucky to of gotten two traditionals while there, then it was time to head off and set up for the night at the Mega event site, but as we got there late there was no parking anywhere for us to park up our caravan and car so we socialized for a couple of hours until we could park up for the labour weekend. Then it was a few hours sleep and then time to get up and attend the Mega event and what a great crowd lining up outside the door at 9am grabbing there bags with lots of goodies coins etc, we purchased some great items from the store there while we waited for the waves to wairapa race to start. so did the wairapa first we teamed up with Rattle geocachers and we came second a great effect done by all. Thank you for putting this traditional after doing a tramp today tftc.
We are caching around Wellington today, ahead of the Pre WENZ event this evening. We noticed this neaby Trad, and couldn't walk past without making the find. Tftc.
Heard a coupleof loud bangs that sounded like gun shots up the hill, really hope they were cars backfiring at the track. TFTC

Took awhile to find as I discounted one possible place as a hiding spot as I thought I might be trespassing. It ended up being the gz! TFTC.
Found this one on a GROET hunting trip in the Hutt/Stokes Valley area with Flowerydaze. All good with this TFTC.
On a mission with Talla64 to tick off a few more GROETs. This mission so far has taken us all over the Hutt Valley and Stokes Valley, to places we've not been before. Thanks for all the placements GLAD-NZ. All the containers and logs we've found in this series have been in good condition. Thanks for all the caches.
Cache # 4,500 - A milestone cache of course deserves a favourite point. A terrible day in Wellington, so wanted a quick cache to avoid as much of the rain as possible. This fit the bill, and I was back in the car in a matter of minutes. Hard to get container! All good, however, once obtained. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Was in the Hutt for work and saw that there were a few new GROET caches that werent too far from where I was and since I was very busy today I decided that I would go and get a simple drive by cache for the day as the weather was not the best I decided that I would settle on this cache as it was not too far from where I was seeing a client.
Knowing this area quite well, I knew about this spot and decided that I would go and find this cache today. As I drove into Page Grove,I spotted a parking spot that was not too far from GZ and immediately made my way towards it and was glad that I did as there is definitely no many parking spots neared GZ.
Making my way to GZ it really didnt take long before I was soon at GZ and I soon spotted something and once I took a closer look I soon spotted where this clever little hide was and I soon had the cache in hand.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks GLAD-NZ for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (13735). Definitely GLAD to get another GROET cache off my list of unfound caches.
