Logs
Sadly a did not find here! Starting of doubt that the cache is after an extensive search which ultimately led to failure. Not to mention the recent logs.
Quick park and grab with Ironbark this morning. No time to stop for an ale today. Many thanks for hiding and maintaining this geocache halcyon123 for all of us to enjoy
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a few nights in Moss Vale, today we headed over to Berrima and surrounds.TFTC halcyon123
Slowly making my way to the Canberra mega. Bit early for lunch, and even breakfast for some! TFTC!!
Log is difficult to get out and probably why it is torn and in pieces. Managed to find a place to sign. TFTC
Have had a lot of fun hunting caches together with ilook4geo while on a short trip from home. All found logs had both names noted on them before all was returned to place. Many thanks go to halcyon123 for placing this cache.
Found this cache to add to the count. Came along with goingplaces2 and replaced everything after signing the log. TFTC.
I’d read the logs and came prepared, ignoring the GPS I immediately homed in on GZ for the find. Thanks for the cache halcyon123
An early morning find at 6:20am and although dawn was breaking I did have to use a torch at GZ to make the find. Nice cache. TFTC
We were passing through and stopped for the AL when we noticed how close this one was. We parked at the pub as suggested and then, after signing the log, decided to have a pub lunch. I love it when I’m looking for caches and find places like this along the way. The venue is beautiful, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the menu was far more refined than a typical pub.

FP for the lunch suggestion.

Read the description for this one and immediately retrieved the geogloves from the car in anticipation of creepy crawlies.
Made my way to GZ and did an extensive search of what I thought was the correct tree with no luck. Read through a couple of logs and decided to try a different tree. Almost immediate success... but I was unable to get to it. Wandered around the tree a little bit and found an easy way in. Collected the cache, signed one of the many bits of paper in the container, and returned everything back to its hiding place. Loved the camo on this one. Very nicely done!

Took the bus down to the pub while at work. The gents helped me find the cache.
Found with sebass19 on a huge day of caching in the Southern Highlights; all up, 68 finds for me today, not bad considering the heat! Very quiet here this morning. At GZ it was a pretty quick find, nicely sized container! Later on this evening, the pub was buzzing on our drive past; how good to see! TNLNSL. TFTC halcyon123!

#1028 Having passed through this area many a times over the years this was the first time I’d actually stopped to find some caches. Parked at the pub on the way back to Canberra and made our way over to this one with the geohound on the leash. We made a quick find at GZ and headed back to the car to continue on, no food for us today. Thanks halcyon123 for the hide
#2882 So many times I have driven by here, usually with caravan in tow and not had the time or made the effort to stop. Today with time and nothing on the towball we made the most of the opportunity to stop in town for a little caching. We were unfortunately too late for lunch today. This was quickly located and logged before moving on to the next. Thanks halcyon123!
After barking up the wrong tree initially we were soon onto this one.
It was time to move on from Goulburn today, but only a short distance to Mossvale.
We did the usual however and stopped to pick up a number of caches along the way, some with short diversions needed.
We also did one waypoint of and Adventure Lab and fully completed another en route. This afternoon we did some further caching as we looked round town. A lot were quite wet, but as Gippslanders from Victoria we understand that is what happens when you have weather like we have had.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache halcyon123.

#14739 - 11:15:00 AM; Out on a Sunday drive to Bowral with the geohoney and collecting a few caches while I was there, including this one. Parked beside the highway to go and grab this rather nice sized cache, only to realise there was a much more convenient park after caching duties were completed! TFTC halcyon123
Barking up the wrong tree! Easy find and a quite odd container. Found it in the end!

Parked on the other side of the road and store, and walked up to GZ. Took a turn or two around the location, before finding the cache.
After walking in what seemed like a hundred or so circles, I finally found the cache. How I missed it is beyond me.. thank you!
I feel that I was lucky to approach this from just the right angle. As a result nice quick find, no spidies. TFTC.
Ocw the Bebes. Picked this one up and bought a lawn mower at the same time from the close BU shop! Tftc

Stopped at the very cute next door shop (bought a mower !) and grabbed a cache.

Spending a few days around the Highlands and had a great lunch at the pub. TFTC Halcyon123
Time for just one today after running an errand in Exeter. We might have had time for more if the kids hadn't spent so long up a tree. Thanks for bringing us to this lonely spot
First time actually coming to the little town of Sutton Forest and wow, it is lovely! Ancestors of mine who came across on the First Fleet are actually buried at the cemetery down the road interestingly enough. Though there were muggles playing lawn games out the back of the pub, they were far enough away and too absorbed in their game to notice me. As such, after a short search the interesting container was found. I shall have to come back here another day and explore some more! Find #9 today. Tftc!
I had not seen a thermos like this before, and it took me a few seconds to figure out how to open it. There is an attached strap, and if the cache is meant to be hanging, it isn't. TFTC halcyon123.
A nice quick find with Sophiescout on a drive around Moss Vale and the region. TFTC
Accompanied ALL7, awesome enjoyed day to few caches area, stay Mittagonog for two night as funeral next day...
Nice spot, sign the log with good dry, as no trouble..

Trip to Mittagong/Moss Vale/Bowral for few days from Canberra, and waiting for 63roos arrival here to meet then do series around with me.. tks
Found at 11:59 AM GAFF1 at a distance of 11 metres.
We were on our way to Moss Vale for a pub lunch and thought - what about here? However after observing a few of the patrons going in and the style of the building we thought it a bit too sophisticated for us - especially in the caching garb that we had on [:o)]
Found the cache in the second place that we looked as the GPSr took us to the furthest tree, however retrieving the cache was not a problem as it was sitting quite exposed and easy to reach.
Thanks halcyon123.

A larger hide than we expected. Found after a short search. Tnsl, TFTC & Happy New Year
Found on a lovely long weekend in the southern highlands. A lovely distraction from the election. Tftc!
I always assumed this would be very muggly but actually it is at a safe distance from the pub. A quick find today. The log is many scraps of loose paper, one of which I signed. TFTC!
Stopped for a coffee, but picked this one up first. The records on the nearby store are way overpriced.
Found on a perfect Winter day for a drive at Moss Vale.
A few good safe hides and not many muggles around.
Cache condition is OK/good.
Thanks for the cache halcyon123,

This was a nice easy find as we hadnt had much luck today. Thank you, our first as a family!
We were hot on the trail of this cache and realised, when we got to gz, that we didn't have to go thirsty. Tftc
Having taken the decision to leave the highlands due to deteriorating fire conditions, we pointed ourselves in the direction of home. When we reached Sutton Forrest, we paused to make a few calls to family to let them know what was happening, and I slipped across the road for a quick cache find. An unusual container, but at least it should be watertight!

Parked and walked to GZ. A nice camo’d cache awaited and was quickly found. I thankfully signed the log and then replaced all as found.
I then walked over to check out the everything store. What a difference. It used to sell just EVERYTHING with such a crowded shop with full shelves, and so many, it was hard to walk around. You had to hunt for the proprietor through small gaps in all the items hanging over the top and around the counter. It was an exciting adventure to go in there. This was 40 years ago when we lived just up the road and the children went to the little school here.
It was great to revisit today. Thanks for bringing me here.
Cheers and happy caching!

On our way to Bundanoon to visit friends, do some hiking and of course a bit of geocaching we stopped as this interesting intersection. We did not stop for the geocache, but for the wonderful old pub and "the everything store". It does not only sell antiques but also fresh eggs, sweets and drinks. What an interesting combination!
The shop is full of interesting things, and we had a good laugh browsing the old album records, admiring the fashion and hair style of the pop stars in the 70's and 80's,

We had a lovely lunch at the pub, the pretty building drew us in. And while waiting for the food I luckily realized there was a cache right here. Quick find, nice big cache, all in good order.
Thank you halcyon123 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Day 4 of the "Streak Challenge"
Drive past this one sooooo often that I decided today was the day to get it.
Drizzling rain and cold conditions weren't very inviting for caching however, the "cute" cache container gave me a giggle. Getting the log out wasn't too easy with all the swag jammed in there though. Hopefully this cache hangs around for a while as its easily seen in its current location. TFTC

A day trip away to collect a few caches, I was picked up this morning by Tankengine and then off to collect dty73. With the new challenge we needed to find some caches and as Tankengine had all but cleaned out Canberra and the near by regions it was off else where to find them! Dty73 had completely the challenge but came along to keep us company and enjoy some caching too. Up towards Mittagong was the plan with a few along the way, TE had a PQ of caches we all had yet to find, with a few bonus ones that looked interesting as we passed or needed along the way.
Some lovely areas and off course a lot of fun along the way but the arctic wind that blew painfully through was enough to make me moan and winge at times! If beanies are a fashion statement anywhere I was rocking it well today! The gloves I needed but they made rolling the little bison logs almost impossible so off they came and the mild frostbite will recover! (winge, moan etc etc!)
Luckily though most caches were close to the car or didn't take so long to find, a few DNF's but only a couple and the car was SOOO warm and cosy! We stopped and had a welcomed warm lunch, found all the caches we needed for the challenge and of course had a great day too! Many thanks for your cache that helped with our days caching and thanks to dty73 and Tankengine for the good company and enjoyable day!

What a good hide! It’s a bit off centre but we eventually tracked it 7 metres away

nice location but a bit too early for lunch although you could have twised my arm..
Heading over to the OzGeomuster event, and picking up some caches enroute, weather was a bit dodgy but managed what we could ,found with StrangeTrousers and CBRChic , signed as Kayak Cachers stamp.
thanks halcyon123

On our way to the Oz Geomuster 2019 - The Gong! We left early on Friday morning, traveling along the Hume all the way to Wollongong. We found a few caches, here and there, along the trip to break up the drive.
We were getting tired now - so we started to find more and more caches. Being a little ways from home, they were more frequent so we skipped some - we'd never get to Wollongong at this pace! Now we were headed for the new virtual cache in Bowral... Thanks for the cache halcyon123.

#5215 2nd for today
Day one of the Oz Geomuster Mega at Cataract (the Gong). Traveling with mtrax & CBRChic to the event. Today was rather damp and there was rain on occasions, but nothing too heavy. But it's always pleasant traveling through th southern highlands. We dropped into Fitzroy falls and had lunch in Robertson on the way. Eventually we decided we needed to get a move on to make it to our accommodation at Appin.
Thanks halcyon123
