Found on day 22 of our TA thru-hike. Final find on the road before a long beach walk. Thanks for this excellent series!
Hardest one of the series so far, but at least i now know where all the choppers that have been flying over the campsite have been going.

Nice easy find. Thought this one would be a nightmare with all the trees and the wonky gps. TFTC
Out and about with TW, doing some driveby's , walkbys etc, and just having a nice day cruising for caches. Thanks.
TF and I had planned a day up north picking up a few caches and this series neither of us had found so was lovely to drive along and pick them up. No problems with any of the caches and all placed in sensible places. TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We decided to shape our weekend caching adventures around a couple of Gap's jobs... and then it started to rain.
This was an unexpected hide, and one we enjoyed locating. A good hint! TFTC.

Today I had to go to Waihi Beach then on up to Mangawhai to measure jobs. weather was not the best but jobs were inside.
Arranged with Squirrel Nutcase to come along as a passenger so we could collect a few caches in our travels.
We both got wet and muddy (which is all part of caching) along with 7 DNF's with several caches needing new log books.
We decided to stop in Wellsford for the night, had dinner at the local roast shop which was very very nice.
Perhaps owners would like to do some repairs in area. SLTFTC

Decided to take a drive down here today with the kids and get the new caches of this series. Rain clouds loomed but stayed away for the afternoon. GZ quickly located and there were only a few options. Cache quickly found. Signed and replaced. TFTC
The weather was just right, so I took two days to go up to Waipu to get in some Geocaching. Also, I wanted to make sure all my camping gear was in order for next month's Mega in Wellington.
I love these forests. I wasn't sure if I was counting the right way, so I tried one place before I moved to the correct place. TFTC.

It was time to go to the next shade of green on my GC.COM calender for today so a trip to Te Arai was needed to get the numbers.
A slight deviation to pick up #4.1 and this one.
Cheers for the cache.

Had seen these three new ones when I checked the emails this morning and was very keen to try for a FTF to keep my monthly streak going. July is not usually a good month for new caches to be published, so I wanted to give it a good shot.
After checking at afternoon tea time and still no found logs, I made a call to head off on the 75 km trip down to Te Arai. But, after missing out on the first ones I found this avo, I was sure I would be too late for this one as well. A quick walk into the forest and the and the cache was soon found. And sure enough, KC had beaten me to this one by a couple of hours as well. Congrats to them. And thanks for putting out these new caches in the middle of winter.
After finding these caches, I made the most of the opportunity of being near such a nice beach and went for a short training jog. Found an awesome cache container on the beach, but it was a little heavy to carry back for 3 kms...!! TFTC

Last night we noticed 3 new Te Arai Trail caches had been published. We decided to keep an eye on them, and if they remained unlogged after work today we would head north to attempt the First To Find. With two FTFs already, we were pretty sure the third log would be blank too. Nice easy find at the eddge of the forest, and yes, another FTF TFTC.
