This type of cache has had its time …I will make another cache to replace this one. It will be in a slightly different & better position along with being hopefully a more interesting

On our way to climb to the top of the hill and see if we could locate the cache there that had some DNFs. Like ones like that and you find it. Which we did. Saw this one was you guys and just had to find it. Touch this and touch that as I always seem to do with yours. Lol! Everything is suspect. Then the whats that. Now at that moment I should have really read things to the end. Told Dot and he was laughing and rolling his eyes into his head at my blunder. Lol. Typical he says. I have such a short attention span I just want to find it. Thanks for another great find. Nice to be out geocaching again.

Upon seeing the water and the difficulty rating I thought I might have to get wet. Instead just pondered the bridge from many angles.

After a very very careful inspection noticed something. Tricky little hide.

Just about 2 years to the day since I had tried to find this cache. When I found the cache I still wasn't sure if I had the right thing but Buzzy bb & I decided it must be. Tftc

Detoured here after doing the walkway west ridge to Bmx track. Giving ourselves time to ponder over the bridge one before we return home. Fresh air and hilly view is nice to refresh the brain!

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), the nieces, and the dog... School holidays are upon us. We missed our weekly walk yesterday because of bad weather. The pestering to make up for it began early, and didn’t let up until we were in the car and on our way...

We can’t explain why we’ve not tried for this cache before. However, a walk from Westridge Drive to Puketoromiro Pa was a good reason to visit today... We spotted the container almost immediately. This is definitely an interesting way to counter losing caches to flooding... Thanks Macwatt Kahluis and TFTC.

We had to be stealthy as there were quite a few cyclists out enjoying the beautiful day but perseverance and a methodical search soon paid off and we soon spotted the clever cache.
We have messaged the CO with the color inside the container.
Very nice hide. TFTC.

As ususal Mcwatt another well camoed cache, took longer than expected due to every man and his dog out for a Sunday afternoon jaunt along the cycleway but got there in the end, thanks for this one.

Seeing as we didn't read the instructions when we found this cache, we have now returned and removed the log that we shouldn't have put there in the first place! Note to selves... READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Cache is all good. TFTC

Taking the opporunity on QB W/end to get out and about on our bikes in our local back yard. This one was a DNF that had us good and puzzled last time so it was time for another look. Well, we did have quite a quick find, but remained just as puzzled. What about the log?
Now that I am logging our find I see that WE SHOULD HAVE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!
Oh dear... Humble apologetic note on it's way Macwatt Kahluis. TFTC

Out for a morning bike ride on this beautiful spring day - stopped for another look - good fortune was with us today, and this time - we found it. Signed the little make-shift temporary log sheet. Thanks for the placement - much appreciated.

Thanks for the hide. There was a spider that has also taken up residence. Our first difficulty 3 so pretty happy with our effort.

Off we went on a whanau bike ride to clean up caches around the cycle way and this cache was on our list after beating us last time. Once again Mr was volun- told to search those hard to get to places, only to find the culprit just sitting there with out having to risk falling in. Photo was taken and message sent by Mrs, wishing that the photo had been of Mr going for a swim. Cheers MacWatt. Outstanding and a fav.

Mr Macwatt, what are you trying to do to me? Because if it is to drive me stark raving mad, you are getting close! You would not believe how close I came to touching a reasonably large wasps nest, thinking - "Wow, he has outdone himself this time" and then some of the wasps started to move and I vacated that area pretty quick smart. Thankfully the actual cache was not far enough away so that I did not need hospitalisation (well, not the medical ward anyway!) I was just about to throw in the towel when there it was - the air was a tad blue, with words that shall not be repeated. Thank you for the additional grey hairs, I shall treasure them! Another favourite point for this one.
Logging with the cache owners permission.

Luckily I had some intel on this one, as I was going to get very wet extracting this "cache" from its location. Luckily, I had sobered up a little now after spending some time on the new bridge.
As there was no logbook, I'll claim the find, but I feel like I'm cheating myself.
I'm sure CO is aware of the guidelines that a cache must contain a logbook.

30-Mar-19
Weird found cache but it has no log sheet to sign hopefully the CO allows me the find as he normally insists on caching Etiquette and signing of entire name spelt correctly on his log sheets. Maybe I should attach a picture of cache to prove I found it.

Bit bemused about all the bits of info about this cache. Had a good look around, but not at all sure quite what we were looking for.... Apart from the comment that we would know it was the cache when we found it. But we didn't find it. Or what it wasn't , where it wasn't. Intrigued now. Will have to look again when it is where it is. This was just a quick stop on our way home but it was a bonus because I'd been wanting to check out this bridge since it was erected. I was a little confused after reading through the maintenance logs on this cache but the search began and yielded results fairly quickly. It's clearly the cache and you'll know when you find it. I've sent a photo to CO to confirm but I hope a new container isn't too far away.

Cheers Macwatt - a bit of a sneaky one - TFTC

Will have to come back another day?

Alas, no joy with this one either … found some patches of colour … but no luck with finding a cache container.

09-Jan-19
Saw the note about the temporary cache placement, but couldn't find it so sent the CO a message asking for help. Came back again today to tackle some more of the bike trail, and to have another go at this sneaky hide. Found right away thanks to a big hint from the CO, and formalities completed. Thanks for the help, and the clever hide, cheers

It appears that Incy Wicy spider was washed away as was some of the bank ...The cache has been replaced with a temporary one until I figure out a good replacement. To log the cache email or message me the color under the container Thanks and happy hunting

Requires some maintenance....it appears to have gone missing ...will check and remedy soon

On a day that that the weather was only good for the ducks I took the dog for a walk and had a go at a few caches on this side of the river.

I found this cache on Saturday 24/11 but due to taking to long to log one of my previous finds this afternoon (as i was trying to put my frustration into words) the time stamp is now the 25/11

This is a creeply cool cache.

It was not what I was expecting to find but is a very cool cache that just works for the location.

I was disapointed to read the previous log (especially from someone with so may finds) that they bagged 2 different cache owners and felt they required a hint to find this one instead of just plain looking for it and working it out.

To think that looking for a different CO caches would improve their eye sight is just plain crazy lol.

If every cache was easy to find then it wouldn't be fun.

This cache is in great condition.

Last caching attempt of the day and after 2 DNFs on this trail, I only came here because of this being a different CO meaning more chance of a find. Sadly another 20 minutes spent looking all around and thanks to both clue because the CO thought this would be too easy, it meant a long fruitless search. I decided at this point that I had enough for the day and made this my last caching attempt of the day.

SB20 and I took to our bikes and had a great afternoon biking along this cycle way. We mulled over this one for quite a while before SB20 had a sudden intuition about where it should be, and there it was. Kind of glad she found it - I don't like them!!! TFTC

On this lovely sunny weekend Kathykaches and I decided to shake the dust off our old bikes and give one of these cycle trails a bit of a go. We had a great time cycling through here and stopping every few hundred metres to hunt for a cache. We signed most logs as KK + SB20. Lots of great caches on this trail and well crafted hints and hides. There were a couple that we missed so we will definitely be back to finish it off properly! Thank you for the caches!

Out for a walk today and after an easy stroll from Wylie street soon arrived at GZ. Had me searching a few likely spots then thought to try somewhere different. Thanks McW for another fun find. I have also looked at this area with regards to placing a cache here. Cheers

Having a rest today after a very busy weekend at the mega in Wellington. Walked over to the cache from home and did the loop. This is a good walk or bike ride - whatever suits. Got to GZ and looked around then read the logs. Looked about again and thought I wonder ???Women's logic??? . Enjoyed the cache TFTC

Found during a ride to check out the new bridge. Somewhat of a suprise when we found the cache! Just reward for Mrs Splatty looking where I was sure it wouldn't be. Replaced carefully as found.

With the Mega on this weekend I had a feeling all others would be out of town, and thought YOUR AWESOME. With having my own event (non-caching) tonight i was undecided for a few minutes as to if i had the time or the energy to get the ftf.

When i say a few minutes I mean 2. With in 1 more minute I was ready and heading out the door. With this area being new and such a fine warm day, there were many people out on their bikes. So i enjoyed the beauty of the area while waiting for them to pass. I even took real photo's. I then hear a voice call my name from behind me... oh no, not everyone is out of town.

So kept on looking and even thought I would need to make that move but wasn't sure with a wasp building a few nests in the area. I hear a noise which confirmed that it had been found. Such a beauty, glad I only touched the log.

The notification came through and I was quickly out the door. I assume everyone's at the mega so I should have this one to myself. No such luck. As MRStryfyn and I approached, I saw someone in green loitering suspiciously at what I thought was GZ. As we got closer, it turned out to be FrogyBeCaching. Have you got it yet? No. So we joined forces for the search. Nothing turned up so I ventured somewhere new. Wow. What a clever little cache. Not quite sure how it got there but I was VERY careful replacing. Thanks for the cache and the [FTF] 12.45pm 20/10/18. Now to check out the next one. Nothing published yet, but it's got to be there. Now if only we had some co-ordinates....Doh! On checking, I think the 161m rule precludes a hide on the nice, new shiny white bridge. Oh well.
