Day 40 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we headed to Hells Gate - Robmc did the walk while we had a mud bath and spa.In the afternoon we went rail cruising - a unique experience. We had time on our way to go around the lake and collect a few caches. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday.
Day forty of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Staying in Rotorua, visited Hell's Gate to play in the mud, then to play on a self drive train. We did a few caches and AdLabs in between.People were just setting up around here, and none took any notice of us (we think!)A nice hide, unexpected container. Thanks, Robmc.
After a fail at Muesli & Milk, and needing a COTD, TravelDragon99 and I came over here after seeing this one was found earlier today. Parked across from the petrol station and made our way over. Searched the disturbing looking train for a bit and finally made the find. All is well here. Thanks for helping me keep a streak alive. TFTC
Lets face it this is so cute and a lovely hide. Aslaness and biked here from our motel in Fenton Street in Rotorua today. A few spits of rain but got here dry. The cache is in good order. TFTH
On the way to Lake Taupo & Napier, we stopped by this town, Ngongotaha looking for this cache, GPS is very accurate & in no time, we reached GZ, a nice cute kid train play toy, still good condition.Checking everywhere, no sign of the cache, then my wife checked logs & looking for hints, found more hints & slowly this time scanned the hideout, wow lah cache was found but no log sheet at all. Luckily I always bring along spare log sheets in case log sheets need to be replaced, came in at the right time, I replaced a new one with me & my wife names written.TFTC to Co, a nice easy cache to hide.
Came with Ramakristan while on the way to Lake Taupo, we stopped by Ngongotaha to find at least a cache from each place we stopped. We reached this Ngongotaha Railway Park, indeed a nice train park, first time I ever see a cache hidden too. At start, couldnt find the cache, later reading other logs, reckoned we knew what we are looking, in no time, we found it minus the log sheet, log sheet if not properly waterproof, it will sleazily get torn.Anyway, we replaced a new log sheet, we always carry spare caches & log sheets whenever we travel.TFTC to Co, a very nice cache.
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying nearby for a few days decided to go for a walk & see to some caches this was an easy find & albeit with a lot of traffic going by interesting to see that some of the previous logs said that the container & log book were missing but someone has been the good caching fairy because a magnetic container & logbook were found by us log completed & returned pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... EnglishWe are six Norwegians on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of February and are traveling home after the mega event in Adelaide. We travel by car and Geocaching helps us discover many nice places and often helps to decide where we choose the route between our goals which are: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Dunedeen, and Adelaide. This is one of the caches we found on the trip and we thank you for showing us this place. We who are on tour have the nicknames: MrVonsr, ingsve, EllenSch and TeamEika. And signs the logs with N4.Great thanks for showing us and doing our tour wonderful NorwegianVi er seks nordmenn p tur i Australia og New Zealand.
Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrV sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway
As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.

Mr CNQ was out early this morning and found a few neat caches, including this one, thanks for the cache.
Steam train waiting the other side of the station. No one around but the cache guardian watching
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. After looking for this many times and with another set of eyes without success I finally found it. Has earned a favorite from me Cheers, Cympull.
Found on the principle of what is that doing there? Nice one! With Piwaka54. Fav for the location
Thanks fir replacing. A very long grass time ago remember searching for the cache and not finding. No problems today. Love these type of hide containers. Fun find with rebel98 ??
Yeah, not me. Unless I am skipping lunch. I am not really a cooked breakfast person, except for porridge in winter.
Wow! Brand new log! Brand new cache?? No.

Replaced container. Make it is firmly attached when replacing.
All good to go.

Really enjoyed having a look around this area. Spotted the cache easily enough but it took a bit of waiting before a gap in the passing motorists - wouldn’t want to be muggled! Cache / log are in great condition. TFTC!!
We definitely made this one harder for ourselves than we needed to! Mr Taylana was on all fours, scrambling in every nook and cranny, but when the cache revealed itself, it was impossible to miss! TFTC!
Fun guardian - I was a bit overwhelmed when I arrived at GZ anc considered all the places the cache could be- a happy first search and what do you know? t4tc
Good to see this has been replaced so decided to have a look on our way home. After a dnf in Feb, buzzybb & I crawling around we eventually had it in hand. Tftc
Kimbathelion and I were on our way home, saw this cache had been replaced after our DNF in Feb, so decided to stop off here. After a bit of crawling around we soon had cache in hand. Good to turn this into a smiley. TFTC
I'm staying across the road at the NZMCA motorhome park, and had caught up with an old friend. He had heard of geocaching so we made a slight detour to check out this hide while walking down the road to get some takeaways nearby. A nice quick find here, my friend might even join up now, TFTC
Great find and interesting little railroad. Glad we came today as tomorrow is the charity garage sale. Thanks for placing the cache.
Thought by the description it would be an easy find but took a bit longer than planned

Had a day in Rotorua so planned to find a few caches on the way back, however no luck here after we spent a good 10 mins searching and feeling around item.
Having been at the Auckland Mega last weekend we are now pottering home. Stayed the night in Rotorua and decided to go round the northern half of the lake. Stopped on got in the bike to collect a few caches. Always good to stretch the legs and get some smileys at the same time. Found the hint item then started a methodical feel until I was signing the log. Thanks for bringing us here and the smiley.
Staying nearby so needed a find to start the day off right. This seemed like a good one to do. A bit of peering here and peering there and the cache was soon spotted.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, spiderhouse

First cache of the day had to be a breakfast cache! And not just any, but the whole works. Yeah, baby. Great wee spot. Must have been great when still in action.

Took a bit of feeling around. Doesn't look like this bygone activity is still operational.

We were forced to wait out a Korean family taking photos near GZ. Just when we were thinking we might have to move on, they finally finished their photo taking and moved on and we were able to quickly locate the cache and replaced it before any further muggles came along. TFTC

Checked today and like the last cacher said we only found the magnets. Seems the mint tin had rusted away and just left the magnets behind. However we came prepared with a replacement so it's good to go.
Arrived early morning so not too many muggles around. Had a good look around at GZ but was unable to find the cache. A second quick look finally located the container. SL and replaced as found. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. First for the day and with no one around the coast was all clear.
Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised from Rotorua to Hamilton. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I have driven past this cache so many times and always dreaded stopping here with so many places to look and muggles everywhere. Today I made a quick stop and found it easily without anyone about. Tftc
North Island Campervan trip Day 7
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night I ended up spending the night at the DOC site near Okere Falls, which was nicely quiet and a great place to start my day from. I knew that tonight I would be in Kaiwaka visiting friends there, but today would be a lot of driving to get there so plenty of opportunity for caching.
I was taking advantage of the cheap fuel on offer nearby, and simply walked over to have a look for this one. I had been here once before a couple of years back but the place had been lousy with muggles so couldn't really have a go then. Today was a completely different story. No muggles, and I found the cache in the very first place I looked for it. There were no issues with the cache or the log, so I quickly added my name to the sheet and then was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.

Felt silly trying to find it but got there eventually, logged and left a couple little trinkets thank you for the cache
Stayed locally and had a lovely evening stroll around the area. Stopped off to get this cache. Quick find for us today. Thanks.
Staying at NZMCA Park along the road. Taking geopup for a walk. Quickly found and signed log. TFYC.
Woohoo, last cache in the series. Great way to spend half a day or so and the weather has been epically special for our trip south. Now time to head back to Auckland and work. Urgh. Thanks for all your effort setting this series up, very much appreciated.
Easy today with no muggles and bleak weather. I imagine it's busy at times. TFTC!
GPS had me searching in the wrongplace till geowife redirected me. Still struggled till she came over , read a few logs and told me where to search and found it straight away. Thanks for bringing us here.
Decided to bike ride to ngongotaha. Decided to find this one. This one took us a while to find but we eventually did. TFTC
