I think the vertical numbers are gone from the pole so we had a few guesses at our bearing. Found the container after a short search

Driven past this a hundred times before finally stopping to collect. Stopped down the side road and wandered across. Nice scar tree nearby, maybe reminiscent of when the creek actually had water. Cheers

A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache BFMC.**SKI Pair****

What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. Thanks BFMC for the cache.

AusFox; and I decided to meet up and tackle a series nearby and a few more caches in the area tonight! It was cold and windy but didn't stop us getting out and about.AusFox; has done this cache some time ago so he left me to my own devices to collect this cache. Didn't take long to have the coords to GZ and it looked like I was going for a little walk. Everything is good here! Cache is ready for its next visitor. This was the last cache for the night adventure, bringing my total to a 2,999 finds!! Thank you

I was on a roll with the caching detours on the way home this evening, so I thought I'd keep it and try to quickly claim this one.Fortunately for me, this turned out to me a much simpler than some of BFMC's other caches!Shame about the tennis courts. There appear to be a rule that all community tennis courts be neglected into disrepair these days.

Figured the numbers for the final quickly, then headed of to the close GZ. Cache all good. Thanks for the multi BFMC

Find # 12747

Found with Tyred n Cranky.

A family weekend away in Anglesea. Down here to enjoy and cache the area.

Last time I was in Anglesea was Oct 2018 and I had left a few unfound. So back again to claim some more finds in the area and tackle the AdLabs

A quick calc of the numbers and off to GZ. So close but still safer to drive to it than walk.

I found this cache as I slowly made my way from Adelaide through southern Victoria towards the Mega event at Rutherglen, picking up a few caches of interest along the way.

Mixed weather today. The morning wasn’t t too bad, but it slowly got worse as I tried to dodge the showers.

After collecting the required information and determining the final coordinates, it was off to GZ for the find.

Cache and contents are in good condition.

Thanks BFMC for the cache.

On our way through to our favourite haunt along this part of Victoria, we finally stopped to make a quick find of a not-so-new cache. The road was busy but the tennis courts were empty.
Followed the exact same thinking pattern as the previous finder, and Bingo! - there it was.
Left a TB to continue its travels.

GMelb had a meeting at 96three FM yesterday morning so we decided to make a mini break out of it and stay a night here. After checking out of the nearby accommodation this morning, and doing most of the Baanap series and the DoTW series we headed here on the way to Bellbrae. Co-ords calculated we headed to GZ where it took us a while as the GPS was a bit all over the place. Finally GMelb stepped back and thought ... "Right ... where would I hide it"??? lol He soon had the cache in hand. GMelb used to play tennis for his Church Competition as a youngster up to his late 20's then changed to Cricket and then quite a bit later we discovered Geocaching Smile

With my daughter playing a game of cricket at the nearby sports oval I decided to walk down the hill with my son to find this cache. I think I bit off a bit more than I could chew because the hill was a lot steeper than I thought. But it was a lovely walk down through all the shaded paths with plenty to look at. Crossing the road however took forever, there was so much traffic.
Finding the power pole was easy and so was working out the second numbers but I wasn’t sure which ones the cascading numbers were. When I first went to look there was so much traffic that I just ended up taking a quick look without stepping back. I sat down at the picnic table for a bit then returned and noticed them straight away.
Working out the projection was easy, I was never that great at math but I remember the basics. I had a look at where GZ was and thought I could be wrong but headed over there anyway to find the cache. Yay! The container and contents are in good condition. The log was signed and then I realised I had a long walk back up the hill to the car. TFTC

With the updated cache cords and description I had another attempt that went much more smoothly. And soon enough I ventured over and found this nicely placed hide. TFTC and updating it!

Checked in on this one today. GZ is a-ok.

After noting some logs mentioning the posted coordinates putting them slightly away from where I expected, I tested these also. I found that when standing where I needed to be my caching app said I was anywhere from 5-12m away from the posted coordinates. Checked using my coordinate app (for CO's in the apple ecosystem, GPSdiagnositc is a wonderful app, as it allows you to reset the GPS in your phone as well as gives indications on signal strength vs number of satellites acquired). As such, cache page was updated to indicate where you need to look for the numbers at stage 1, this should resolve any future issues.

Stopped off on my way back from the surf coast. Have driven past here hundred of times but never stopped. Took a little while to find the numbers at the first spot but then in my way.
I had never heard of the BODMAS acronym but was pretty good at maths at school so no dramas there. Except the clue put me in a spot that didn’t seem suitable for a cache. But my old geosenses kicked in and I found it nearby. Tftc.

Out in the Torquay area today for a bit of rest and relaxation and some caching as well. Well, isn't caching rest and relaxation? We think so. It was an interesting day today as it was a pleasant temperature but pretty overcast. We have been out this way a bit recently. We made our way to the WP and obtained the necessary data to make the calculations. BOMDAS is indeed your friend. Once we had GZ worked out, we made our way there and assumed where the cache would be hidden. We were wrong, and once we realised that, we quickly found the cache, which was extremely well hidden by natural camouflage. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache BFMC

Wife saw sign to op shop and had to stop. I saw a cache nearby. Grabbed the numbers and did tbe arithmetic. Got into the right area but the spot wasn't obvious. Got there after a recheck of the numbers and dodging traffic. Thanks.

A day out with SorceySal and Bree the Geodog heading from The Marsh to Angelsea caching along the way there and back.

Had a few goes at working this out, but really wasn't sure what the asterisk meant. Multiply?
I just use an 'x', lol.
Anyway, our supposed GZ took us to an unlikely spot, where we searched over, beside and under, but to no avail.

Thanks anyway BFMC

While we are in interesting times with restrictions, regarding movement and travel, due to the corona virus, today we had the perfect opportunity to be out and about on the surf coast in the company of Alansee.
Nice quick match here, thanks to our coach.

.Our thanks to 'BFMC' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

I was now on my way home but there was this multi cache between me and home so I had to stop for a look.
I gathered the numbers, worked out where I needed to be and I was off.
Once there, I went to the logical spot and found the cache.

I had tried this cache before but came up blank. Having redone my work at home, I thought that I found my error. Today I confirmed it.

For about 5 years I tutored English to kids ages 4-18. I also was not bad at tutoring up to grade 2 maths... and that’s about where my maths ability stops. There were literally genius four year olds at the centre where I worked who could do maths better than me. Some vague recollections of BODMAS came back to me. In the end tho I had to PAF to confirm I’d done my sums right. I almost had. Not quite. That’s enough maths for me today. Back home to a different kind of study that involves no numbers!
I also used to play tennis for about 11 years. We played at lots of little courts like this but I don’t recall this one. I dropped my pen on the walk somewhere but you can see where I have tried to etch my name into the logbook with a stick. Sorry! Tftc

It was a sad little tennis court but not a sad little geocacher. The maths was correct and the container soon found after that short walk.

Found eventually after staying nearby, took 2 visits! I only had my phone so had a bit of difficulty working out where we needed to be for the final, my trusty GPS was back at home. Then remembered my garmin watch has all the capabilities of my garmin GPS. After looking in all the wrong areas we found the cache after trusting my watch and were able to sign the log!!!!! TFTC

No time for tennis this morning.

I was trekking back from the coast too work today.

I'd stopped and gathered the info at WP1 earlier this year.

Today I managed to stop and sign the log.

It was a bit warm for a game of tennis today, but not for a multi cache! Did the math and watched for the speedy cars as we headed to GZ. Plenty of ants busy so we quickly signed the log and then headed on our way. TFTC

#3821 - Staying in Anglesea for the week, we went for a drive today to explore a bit of the local area. All quiet and muggle free at the tennis courts this morning, so we stopped to check out this multi. After finding the required numbers we calculated our projection, but gz wasn't in a direction we were expecting, but went over for a looksie and to our amazement located the cache Smile. Never assume anything. TFTC BFMC.

Yes, you definitely need to know BODMAS. I'm sure it was a lot simpler when we learnt maths! Thanks for this multi!

This cache has been on my to do list for a very long time but every time I am traveling past I didn't have the time to stop. Tonight I had some time to kill so I made the journey out to make a concerted effort to turn it into a smiley and it would kill two birds with one stone also ( A cache for my cache a day streak as well as a much needed Regular sized cache for a challenge cache that I am getting so close finishing)
At the coords the number were easily found and the projection made for the nice quick find.

Thank you BFMC for the multi and regular cache

A nice little multi, found in the company of the Na'wal family. Luckily our numbers proved correct and we soon found the hide. Thanks for a clever little cache. TFTC BFMC Big Grin

With such a nice looking day weather wise, the little Na'wals and I decided to go out on an adventure down the coast and then through Bambra. DAB was interested too and wanted to get out of the house so we picked him up on the way and took off down the coast. It was a bit cool with the wind but it was a great day out exploring.

We parked as close as we could and took in the details needed for this cache. With the numbers worked out on some paper it was now time to put our new co-ords to work. The gpsr wanted us a little bit away but the terrain map put us right where we found the cache hidden away.

Find No. 2563. Found at 7.00pm.

Down in the area for the Otways Classic Bicycle ride on Saturday and staying at the Bellbrae Motel tonight. After tea we went for a walk down to this area to see how we would go with the multi and locating the cache. Finding the information, we then sat on the rails nearby to work it all out and of course watching the cars go by. Seems to be a busy little road.
With numbers punched into the GPs, off we went to locate the cache and sign the log.

Such a pleasant little sightseeing walk after tea which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner out this evening in Waurn Ponds, a well earned rest from the kitchen after a big day at work. Before leaving we checked the status on the newly published cache only to read all the exciting logs it was acquiring. Deciding on the spur of the moment to head down and investigate ourselves we made our way to Bellbrae first, to pick up this unfound multi.
Numbers collected, bodmas applied and projection plugged into the phone app.
Then a short walk had the prize in hand with spot on coordinates.
Thanks _BFMC_ for the tennis multi, one of us preferred badminton in her fitter days lol

Tennis was one of my favourite sports growing up.
Sadly never achieved a level worthy of even local competition.
With the numbers gathered and projection made we headed towards ground zero.
AlphaDeltaIndigo soon spotted the treasure.
Game, set and match!
Thanks for the cache BFMC.

Down the surf coast for a little rest and spotted this multi close to where we were staying. Followed our GPS to posted coordinates and we were in the middle of a field. Saw some possible structures nearby, so we walked towards the. Found some good numbers and we then calculated and projected as needed. At GZ we were beginning to wonder whether we should have projected from posted coordinates. Anyway, our geosense was spot on as we spotted cache. TFTC _BFMC_

Did the necessary calcs, but my search revealed nothing as I scrambled around blackberry bushes. Confirmed my coords with the CO and was given a clue that changed my focus. GPS was still 10 metres out - wondered whether true north vs magnetic north makes much difference. Always enjoy tennis on a Sunday morning with friends. TFTC

[^]Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin {FTF} JOINT FIND WITH SUSCOE Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin[^]

Another month (A pinch and a punch) and a FTF.
After a number of trips to Ballarat & Creswick and out in the bush on all occasions the White Beast is no longer white so the first job today was the have a big clean up inside and out.
While in this mood the roof of the house was next and all went well until right at the finish when the old wooden ladder decided it had had enough and a few rungs decided to call it a day.
OK ladder will end up firewood and the ageing Bushfire is licking his wounds.
Then a new cache is published, well after the call the body problems were put on hold and off on the hunt.
By the time that I arrived the hard work was completed and the hunt was on for the prize which was soon in hand.
Colour recorded and time to head back to clean up my disaster area.
Thanks_BFMC_ for placing this series and another F.P is well deserved.

CoolCoolCool Joint FTF Suscoe and Bushfire CoolCoolCool
Well this was a surprise FTF for us.
We had returned home today from a few days away and were interested when some new caches popped up.
We sorted through the emails and there was one new publication not too far from home.
So we jumped into the car and with our usual call to Bushfire to meet us at the cache, we were on our way.
Arrived at the listed co-ordinates and gathered the info needed for the projection.
Not having our GPS, we decided to do the projection using our senses and the ipad to check the distance needed.
We soon had the hiding spot narrowed down and there was the cache waiting patiently to be found.
We needed to keep moving as the Red Ant was heading northward, so a quick sign and we were on our way.
Thanks to _BFMC_ for creating this cache at Bellbrae.
A favourite from us.
