Had a quick look around in the 15.1 degree temperature. Discouraged by all the DNFs so didn’t look too hard.
Hi there gotadollarmate
RE Your cache What's The Temperature?
We’re really sorry to report that the cache is missing. More DNF’s than I care to count. Why hasn’t anyone put a NM log on this cache before now?
It really needs some owner TLC

I found this one about 3 months ago and forgot to log but went back again this morning and wasn’t there
DNF. Tried to find this one with other geocachers who have found this before. It wasnt there ️
Was not there. Have done it before, and it’s no longer in the place it use to be in
Had just about given up when T looked down and there it was. In good condition. TFTC
14.1 in the middle of summer !!! Something seems wrong with the temperatures here. Good thing I have a jacket from winter. TFTC

I’m not usually a fan of night caching but we “had to” check the thermometer after a very filling dinner at the Aussie Steakhouse. Call me a sook but sticking my hand into nooks and crannies that I can’t see into is not my favourite thing (why do I love geocaching, again?). But after a bit of that, I then located the cache. It is the middle of summer - a couple of days before Christmas - and yet it is 14.1 degrees with quite a breeze making the “feels like” 11.3 on Bureau of Meteorology. The temperature continued to drop by 0.1 of a degree as we stood at the thermometer - every minute it got colder. 14.5 before cache hunting and 14.1 now. And it’s not like we were there very long! And in a short-sleeved dress with no jumper and Birkenstocks…I can’t wait to go jump in the spa bath in our lovely cottage (Azjure Studio Retreat).

Came back to find even more pieces of the old cache but this time Rainforest Cookie was more prepared and had sourced a replacement. The geodog was more interested in smells than in caching this afternoon so we wandered down along the creek after the obligatory photos. tftc
Decided to give this one another crack.
I sourced a new cache container from a near by shop just incase.
Today we returned , approached from another direction and looked under an obvious place. Found 2log books and upon closer inspection found bits of cache
Ok. Removed all the rubbish/remains.
Left new container at GZ
TFTC
Noticed a guardian nearby who moved off to allow us to retrieve the rubbish
Temp a balmy 24.5 after the abysmal 11.1 of the other day.

Found a piece of a container and took some obligatory tourist shots of the temp gauge, but no log to sign
Temperature was 20.8 this morning. Stopped at the information centre to see what to do in the area. A nice quick find. The bottom is missing. Thanks for the cache
An impressive thermometer.
We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

Well hidden, find with friends.
Maybe they are now infected with Gc-virus.

Tenth Egg Street
A street of small traders, who sell small things in small quantities for small sums on small margins. In a street like this, a business survives by being small-minded: it has to look at the details. The proprietors are men who see more farthings than they do dollars, and indeed are no strangers to half-farthings and even the occasional elim.

After massive burgers for lunch at Cafe 77, we swung by here where it was a relatively toasty 14deg. Thanks for the cache
Well, the number on the close by structure was all of 7 degrees.
Nice cold one in Stanthorpe to start the day (given it had been down to zero overnight, 7 was well in the better ranges).
Cache took a bit of finding but we got there in the end.
Signed and returned to hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.
PS, nearby autumnal trees were spectacular!

Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
A balmy 11° for us this afternoon ??

Out from the UK to experience Christmas in Stanthorpe. 10.2 degrees when we found the cache. A beautiful blue sky and crisp air. As we say in England "bracing".
PirateLinda and I have journeyed to Stanthorpe to attend the Catch-up in Stanthorpe event… With nothing more pressing, we’re making a long weekend of it…
The giant thermometer in Stanthorpe announced it was 11.0 degrees today… which meant at some stages I had three layers of clothing on, including a down jacket…
Stanthorpe was added to the agenda for July thanks to the latest crazy monthly challenge in Brisbane… there’s a rich vein of unclaimed challenges for us down here…
There’s a “must do” cache for us, just over there, so we thought best stop here first to gauge the conditions… gz was just far enough out of sight to make this a relatively quick find of the familiar container….

Second time looking for this. We knew what to look for last time too but it eluded capture. Found this time- 14.6 degrees! Tftc
We found it. The temp is 12.3 degrees Celsius. We thought it was a real cool looking rock so we picked it up and turned it around and at first we thought it was a grave or something but it turned out to be the cache
If thers one thing that you are sure to find lots of around Stanthorpe it's rocks , so finding caches among them can be difficult.
Luckily this one was a quick find.
Old Anders Celsius would be proud that the 11.1°C recorded on the 11th of the month is remembered to be recorded in his name.

Found it! Clever miss 6 spotted this hide. Current temp 8.7. Lovely place to feed the ducks.
Full time nomads since 2014.
Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots and floods
Back in Stanthorpe at the Summit for a few days.
Found while doing a few caches in the area.
18.7 degrees here today

Found this one with a full log. Replaced with a new strip. Lovely park. The digital display wasn't working, so according to the BOM the temp is 25.7 degrees at 17 21 on this beautiful day.
Thanks to all the COs who have placed caches in the Stanthorpe area for their caches.

A gorgeous day to be caching in this most scenic of locations. Thanks for hiding this cache and giving us the opportunity to explore. Made it a harder find than it needed to be.
Heading down to Stanthorpe to the markets - just in case we needed to spend more money this side of christmas. Took the old highway through the villages, buying cherries, apricots and apples. As you do. Caching along the fruit run. As you do.
After lunch in the near by park, admiring the devistation that the recent floods had caused, we decided to see the fate of this cache.
According to the gauge, it is 29.5 degrees, but as there is so humidity, it feels more like 35.
Hot find, potentially has been moved around by so many cachers and is suffering from cache lcreep. Eventually we found it, Boy does it look like everything else here. Part of the cache is missing, and the log needs replacing.
Thanks for the hot find gotadollarmate

Spent an hour yesterday but came back today and used the logs to help. Great hide. Tftc
