Cache found in the last place we looked. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. That took longer to find than expected despite having very accurate coords. When you think youve looked everywhere, you havent. Its about getting your hand in the right spot.

Geocache was missing this morning so I replaced it & a new log. Silver one this time.

Another sneaky hide. Our last find gave me ideas though. Took 15min. Ignore photos.
The second micro of many today. It was around 9:00 am, so people were still arriving, making it a little tricky, then a bus pulls up. Had to wait for that to leave, but had time to think about the hide. Went straight to it, once the bus left. TFTC.
After a weekend at the Bathurst 6 Hour it was time to head home grabbing some caches along the way TFTC

Going on a cache hunt around Bathurst for the day with ilook4geo. Did a combination of traditionals and lab caches, which meant we toured around town as well as Mt Panorama. Found this one and signed the log. As we were walking back to the car a muggle driver pulled into the driveway. That was close! Thanks go to pmoorey2 for placing this cache.

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Bathurst for a 9 day holiday, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback Camper Trailer at the Bathurst NRMA Big4 Caravan Park, and plan to collect some caches & Adventure Labs in the Bathurst and surrounding areas.
Today we headed up to Mount Panorama to drive around the classic racing car circuit, and to collect all of the caches that are placed around the race track, including an old Archived cache (GC2MCRZ Sign of the times) that we accidently found for a bonus smiley. Also completed the new Adventure Lab that had recently appeared on the mount. Some extra caches were collected on the way up to the mount, and also on the return journey back to camp. This was the 4th of 25 finds for the day (day 3), and 29th find of the holiday.
A nice quick roadside "park & grab" on our way to Mount Panorama. Signed the log sheet and then replaced as found. TFTC pmoorey2.

A great day out caching on a sunny but chilly winter's day. A little tricky but got it in the end. TFTC.
