A beautiful morning to be out walking on the trail, a quick find in a lovely location. TFTC
We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Blyth where we will camp for a few days.Today we jumped on the bikes to do bits of the bike trails. Sadly we lost Mr Morris along the way when his bike suffered a catastrophic failure. Thanks for the trail ClareValleyCaching
Found at 1:06 PM in the company of The Morris.A wonderful clear and sunny day to do this series. Thanks to ClareValleyCaching
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. I parked at the end of the trail and set off in my bike. This is a really well maintained track which was a pleasure ride on. Lots of caches too which was of course the reason to visit. A bit of excitement was had when a bull hit loose from his paddock and was running on the track towards me. I stopped and got off my bike and was ready to make a break for it. But thankfully about 50m away he stopped and stared me down before turning on his hills and bolting off in the opposite direction. He appeared to get back in his paddock. I spoke to the owner shortly after who confirmed he had returned to his paddock. Quite eventful afternoon. All caches were found without problems unless stated otherwise. Thank you cvc, for placing N E 10 for the geocaching community.# # #15008 # #
Clare and Gilbert Valley caravan trip. Day 4 - Brinkworth to Clare , and bike ride.TFTC
a fun day of e-bike riding in the Clare region with Martini.989, total of 23 smilies for the day for me. and back to droop our bikes off just before the rain hit.Come visit SA's longest running annual event -GCAK1D5- keep the weekend free - 7th - 10th June 2024 Can't wait!!2416
As Easter approaches with plans to head to Capital GeoBash in Canberra - I am striving towards a very unachievable milestone. As such at every opportunity, Im am tackling powertrails or cache clusters. Currently staying in Adelaide, but had a free day up my sleeve and a babysitter available in Clare - I saw and opportunity & took it. I hired an e-bike from Reisling Trail Bike Hire who were fabulous to work with. The e-bike made easy work of the hills as I travelled along the trail collecting smileys accompanied by Chrispy89. Additionally, today is the day I achieve my longest streak (albeit short one) & Im hoping to continue it until Easter. Thanks for the cache and maintenance.
Walking another small section of the Riesling Trail and looking for any caches as we passed. Many thanks for all the hides along here ClareValleyCaching
I have ridden and cached from the show ground to the northern end of the Riesling trail and I think I could not find only one cache, NE4. NE2 seems to be missing. Thanks a million to you Clare cachers for putting so many caches around your district. I will leave a few hearts behind as I log these caches.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 34. Mid North section of SA trip Day 5. Clare area Day 4. I drove from Clare to Pt Pirie today. Before I left I went to the Northern end of the Rail rail and hopped on my scooter to visit and today find twenty caches along the trail, ending with another Earth cache. It was still not a long way to Pt Pirie so I stopped a few times, once in Gulnare and in Crystal Book for a morning tea break that was really lunch. It was so much warmer when I arrived that I even managed to cook outside.
Thanks for the cache ClareValleyCaching

Decided to go to Clare and the N E trail on my recently purchased mobility scooter. Good find TFTC.
A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]
We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops.
A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited.

A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC
glad we had electric bikes for this trail.
The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Another bitterly cold, wet day today and the sky is still touching the ground, a perfect day to Geocache.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

#19125. Day 11. of our Vic/SA trip with Robmc the geodogs and our bicycles. A supposedly rain-free day forecast and even some sunshine so we got the bicycles sorted, loaded the doggies into their tag-along and headed north up the trail to Barinia. Gale force winds accompanied us in the open farmland areas. We managed a 25km ride and 38 finds. 3 DNF's too, but that is the way it goes sometimes. Did so enjoy getting on the bikes and riding some of this fantastic Riesling Trail.
Thanks ClareValleyCaching

Day eleven of our short South Australian trip with BettyBoo3747 and the geo-doggies.
A mild to chilly day in Clare. We unloaded the deadly treadlies and hit the bike trails riding north to Barinia. Back to Clare for some lunch then back to base.
Riding north along the Clare to Barinia Rail Trail collecting caches as we go.
The dogs swapped between running along side (and stopping for a sniff at the GZs), and riding in style in the doggie trailer. (They are now fast asleep as we write our logs.)
A well surfaced trail, a really nice ride, and a good collection of caches.
Thanks, Robmc.

Staying in Clare for the JLW caching event, picking up as many caches around the surrounding areas as we can. This cache is one that was found today.
With some daylight left, decided to go for a spin on the bike along the Riesling Trail to find some unfound caches. By the end it was dark which thankfully kept the muggles away bar one. Started at Ne 29 and rode back to the showgrounds. Overall 38 found in 1.25hrs.
Find #4196 on 12 Jun 2022.

Found with TeamAstro heading from Clare to Barinia on foot. Many thanks to honeysucker for dropping us off at the start and picking us up at the end. Great walk on a cool day, perfect for caching and very satisfying to see a long line of finds on the map. Thanks for the cache ClareValleyCaching!
FeatherWaite and I walked the trail in the drizzle. Better than 40 degree heat we said. Maybe the bike would have been a better option but the step count will be above average today!!
Found as part of the 20th JLWE event run. Fun stuff for all who cache!
Thanks ClareValleyCaching and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Bingo bango! Day 6 in SA and it’s more than a chilly brisk! The Riesling Trail was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
Camping at Yacka for the longweekend with Travellinbees and Future Keith and we decided to head in to Clare to do the northern part of the Reisling trail.. An enjoyable ride . Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining. TFTC

T’was a gorgeous, sunny Autumn day. The gentlest of breezes. And we are on holiday!!! Making hay while the sun shines, as they say!
Thanks for this wonderful series of caches.
Unfortunately, We had not planned this very well. We did all the Caches going downhill. Which kinda breaks your momentum of the downhill thrill!
Would recommend doing it finding the Caches going uphill. That way you get a rest between the strenuous uphill times.
Thanks to CVC for putting this series together. All caches were in good condition and easy to find.

After wine tasting at Tim Adams and then an epic feast at Mr Micks we really needed a walk. So headed out North of Clare to pick up a few more on the rail trail. Rex enjoyed a big run after too long sitting in the car. We did have one dnf at a chopped down tree.
Enjoyed the walk and one day we might just get this series finished! TFTC and series.

The bikes were bought along and we did the Rattler, the N E series and a few of the Reisling Trail. Plus any that were near the roads we travelled along.
Thanks to evryone who put out a cache that we found.

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Clare Valley for a bit of wine tasting and cycling the Riesling Trail. We were treated to great sunny weather, and nice to have been visiting the wine region.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I started the day with a geocaching event breakfast and a few geocaches around the town of Clare. We then proceeded south riding our bikes along the Riesling Trail. We made a few uphill detours either side of the valley to *Pallet Wines* and *Jeanneret Wines and Clare Valley Brewing Co* respectively, which certainly tired us out. A final stop at *Tim Adams Wines*, before completing the northern section of the Riesling Trail towards Barinia.
Another geocache find along the NE section of the Riesling Trail today. We managed to find this cache after a short search, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Clare Valley Cachers (cvc) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/@jesswrigley stamp.

Mr Tardis & gridge98 were hijacked by freddo and Trigger_Fish, off for a leap day caching adventure starting at 4am and caching until the evening when Mr Tardis's brain and body stopped functioning. Leap days do strange things to geocachers.
We signed the logbooks as Kitty Kountry to save space and time. It's great to see this rail trail (and caches) extended to the north of Clare.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache cvc.
PS: Sorry for taking over a year to log my find. I really need to get my logging more organised!

Today we went for a nice walk along the NE trail to clean up the rest that the crew hadn’t found, to save room in the log book we signed it as: Kitty Kountry. All the caches are in good condition
Today was a loooooong day, it’s the 29th so we really stretched the mark on it. Out for the day with : Freddo trigger_fish and tardis trio. We followed the events around the state all up there was 8. Followed by the odd cache here and there.

Decided to ride the trail today, starting at the end and riding back to Clare. All caches were found, except the last one. Thanks for placing the trail! Tftc
This series has been around awhile, so dragged the bike out for a ride on a cold, damp, windy day . Rather surpised at the number of people out and about along here [^].

The sun had gone down and our torches were definitely required as we walked this section of the track. The low light and having to widen the search area slowed us down and it took a while to locate the cache. Once found, the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks cvc for the cache and for the series.
One of 20 of the Ne series done today with clare007 in pouring rain and freezing winds!!!! All great fun!!! A big thankyou to Vicky from the Kelly Gang who dropped us off at the far end ….. meaning we only had to walk one way (a bit over 4km) We were going slightly up hill and straight into the polar wind. Clare took one for the team and volunteered to go down the slope!!!
It's been on the list for CPwanderer & I to complete the 20 caches at the end of the Reisling trail. No 15 of 20
We chose a consistently rainy and icy cold day to do this,
by which we were told we were crazy....Probably right there.
Anyway, mission accomplished and two replacement caches.
Thanks for the series & to Vicki Kelly for taking us to the drop-off point

I am cycling the Mawson Trail from Blinman and Adelaide which has provided the opportunity to pick up a few geocaches along the way. This one was a reasonably straightforward find, being in an obvious position close to the coordinates. Thank you cvc for installing and maintaining this cache.
Having done the RT on bike previously, I had no wheels today, so a few walks were enabled to find most of this series.
I have will be back for the rest another time.
All were found relatively quickly and easily.
This is a nice walk, being rail line, is mostly flat ... great for kids!

Second and unfortunately our last day in the Clare Region. Decided to bike the Reisling Trail. Was a reasonably cool start but was warmin up at our turn around point. GPS was a bit wayward today had me climbing the wrong side of the track, but we stuck with it and a day of smilies. Heading back to the Caravan for a shower and a cool non alcoholic drink
