I couldnt get full reception on my phone so I had to stumble around until I found it. What a truly interesting place. I have driven past it many, many times and never knew it was there,Thanks for bringing me to such an interesting place.Hicky
The best part of today's caching was being in the car and out of the wind! But we did have to get out to make some finds with goingplaces2. All good with this one. TFTC.
The day's weather was a real mixed bag. Sometimes overcast, sometimes raining and sometimes sunny - but always with the ever present very cold and strong, blustery wind. We still managed to get some caches with ilook4geo and signed the logs. Thanks go to GLISS! for this cache placement.
Caching around the area, enjoying the great weather.A quick find here. Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, GLISS!, for us and others to find.

That is a rather hidden cemetery, I didn't see it on the first pass so did a U-turn, came back and spotted the way in. Interesting place.

A morning run to Goulburn with LuckyL10n to grab a few caches to help fill a few challenges and this was our next stop. No issues with this one and the cache was soon found and signed.
Thanks for another interesting cemetery to wander around GLISS!

#16521 - 10:27:00 AM; Sol de lune was headed to Goulburn on a mission today and with not a lot else on, I was able to join him to collect some caches in and to the west of the city to help us along the way with some personal challenges we are working on. All up 15 finds and 2 DNFs for me with Sdl getting a couple more, which I had logged on earlier visits. Given the recent heavy rains, all the caches were in pretty good condition and we had no problems adding our names to the logs. TFTC GLISS!
A lovely lost little cemetery, it is a shame that it is not being upkept . TFTC
Headed up to Crookwell and couldn’t go past a small cemetery. So small that we over shot it because it wasn’t obvious at all from the road. Thanks for placing GLISS!.
First of four days of caching around Goulburn, Yass valley and ACT. Weather still good, but a terrible forecast. Making good progress around Goulburn/Crookwell today.

Celebrating our first weekend of freedom after Sydney hit the 70% COVID vaccination level. I needed cache finds for the last mountain challenge, needed to drop off a few TBs I've been holding on to for too long during COVID shutdown, and felt it would be good to get out into the country and spend some money to help the local economies get back up to speed. So, a mission to Goulburn was the perfect solution. We achieved all our goals and had a great day out. It almost felt like life was getting back to normal.
This one wasn't too tricky, although the GPS took a while to settle. Charlicorn made the find about 6M away from indicated, but phone GPS isn't the best anyway. TFTC!

I spent Saturday and Sunday driving between Yass, Crookwell, Taralga and Peelwood to visit is many of the caches in this region as I could. The new caches near Yass were all very clever hides that provide a great challenge. I fit in the new Adventure Labs in Crookwell in the afternoon before a chilly night at Bummeroo Ford. Sunday started foggy and stayed that way till after 10. I made it to Peelwood for a cache that I was blocked from on my last visit and finished the day with caches near Goulburn before heading home.
Thanks for the cache GLISS!

OCW StumbleTrip today to clean up some more caches in the Goulburn area.
After cleaning up the Mt Grey series and stopping for a bite to eat, we decided to head out to Crookwell and home via Wombeyan Caves. Some of the views we had along the way were magnificent, so if you are thinking of heading out this way......do it!
After reading the hint provided by the CO, we suddenly found ourselves singing a little tune.....hehehehe
Epic day out and all caches found were in good condition.
Thanks to CO's for their hides!

CO your description is correct, we could hardly see the cemetery from the road, so interesting looking at this piece of early history, thanks for bringing us here, tftc
The rain had cleared and the sun was shining, so it made for a lovely day for a drive in the country. After the Crookwell country town event and collecting the caches around the town, we started out journey home collecting along the way.
Another old cemetery....quick grab....TFTC GLISS!

Driving this road for many many years and never knew this was here. Love the LKA caches. This cemetery is looking unloved unfortunately. Very old graves, some dating back to the 1890’s. History.

With us lazying around the house for school holidays, Dad dragged us along for a 2-day caching trip through the rural area of Goulburn and Gunning.
We had lots of fun exploring the area, seeing heaps of wildlife and farm animals and finding some caches.

As the kids (mini rats) were on school holidays I decide to take them for a country drive which involved some caching and an overnight bush camp out. We found plenty rural caches, seen heaps of cattle and sheep, the ocassional roadkill and some amazing countryside, oh and heaps of wind-turbines.
Plenty of old graves here
Thanks to all the CO's for contributing to the fun we had.

What a great old cemetery, you would be hard pressed to even know it exists. Pretty sure we could see the old church back up the road in the trees.

Thanks GLISS for the hide.

Wow. This really has the feel of a forgotten cemetery. The self sown trees that are growing unchecked threaten to wreak havoc, while the dips and hollows in the ground make you wonder if you're walking over a long-forgotten unmarked grave.

Straight through Goulburn given my keen sense of navigation - always keep left or right. The Oregon had no idea. We missed the entrance initially. I wandered about, found the cache despite the arrow facing the opposite direction as it would both days. Saw a neighbour so called out Hello! Surprised to see anyone in the cemetery. I explained about Waymarking & ACI. Had a good yarn finding that we had both lived in the same city at one stage. Thanks.
Yes, certainly a well hidden little cemetery! Seems to be almost part of the bush, and long forgotten about, we had to keep our eyes peeled and count down the metres on the GPS to make sure we didn't miss the entrance! Strange it doesn't even have a proper gate either, just a little gap in between the two fences!
A great gem to discover and visit, enjoyed stopping here and checking it out, a quick find too, at a pretty impressive gravesite. Shame it has been forgotten!

This Cache was not one of my FTFs today
I headed out from Canberra today with Loci612. On seeing that there was a ftf that had been unclaimed for three days I kicked it into overdrive and reached speeds of upto 150kmph. Shaving almost 20 min off the trip. We got to GZ, located the cache and signed the logbook. We later found out that the 2TF missed out on the ftf by 15 min. Looks like my crazy speeding paid off. Thank you GLISS! for placing this cache, It was found in great condition without any drama. Now onto more caches.
After the two FTFs we collected a few more caches on the way to the Event in Goulburn. THis was one of the caches that we found. I have signed the logbook DSD or Darkside or Darksidedan
I have included a poem that I have written about geocaching with my log. I hope that you and future loggers like it.
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

Found with sneakysquirral3325, Countrykittykat and darkonasdelights after an amazing afternoon at the river.
We no phone reception and us all forgetting to download coords, we entered the cemetery and guessed our way to the correct GZ. Thank goodness it was such a beautiful spring afternoon!
Such an interesting little cemetery tucked in here behind the trees. Tftc

I have missed this one the last few visits as it wasnt in the direction that I was going. Today decided to grab this one on the way home to get it off the unfound list. A nice spot.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Only have a little bit of spare time so I managed to grab 4 of the once on my travel. Interesting locations discovered. Nice country side. TFTC
Headed out after dark with fitzy_1965 to find some 'close to home' caches. What was meant to only be a few turned into 8 lol.
Managed to avoid a number of kangaroos, a couple of rabbits and a wombat charging at the car.
All caches found easily despite the dark. Certainly want to come back in the daylight.

After dinner tonight the call of these new caches out our way was too good, so off we went torches in hand. This was the first stop for the night, and what a nice little cemetery in the middle of nowhere ! Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks GLISS !! Fav Point for the fun and the location.

Fav point.Day out in Goulburn and Moss Vale area. Found 35 out of 35 caches. Great history here. Love finding these hidden cemeteries. I am sure not many people could tell you wherr Baw Baw cemetery is. Enjoyable drive around the area to find these 10 new caches. Tftc
*FTF* at 1pm with Tankengine.
After having some fun at the CITO cleaning up rubbish, watching a few Cachers grab one of TEs caches, sitting on a meeting for the Mega (thanks for the coffee TE), then when we were all done. No one else was really around and as we were chatting and trying to think of what to do next my phone chimed with the notification of 10 new caches near Goulburn.
Let's take my car I offered - as I had just filled it and so off we dashed. For such a little car, it did very well with the distance and odd dirt roads. No real issues at all, except all the dust. Yes Tankengine, I should have wound up the windows. I think I'll be cleaning dust out for the next month!
Cache #2 and one of my favourites. This cute little piece of history was very easy to park at. Even when your navigator puts in the wrong number and we overshot the entrance. But I have put in many a wrong number so I couldn't really complain and we were only 30mtrs passed it.
Again this was a quick find and the hint could have gone two ways, depending on the Alice you are looking for ; ) Another sweet moment when we opened the log to find it blank and another place I really want to come back to and have a good look around. Tftc GLISS!!!!

Chooo ooo [FTF] with dty73 on a great day out!
Today was certainly a busy caching day! I started out at 5.30am to catch a FTF on Sutton Rd, followed not long after by a CITO in Weston Park, a communal hunt for one of my caches, and a meeting to discuss all things mega…After that, back at the cars the question was, where to now? Well, that was quickly answered by these 10 new caches being published a little west of Goulburn! Dty73 and I decided to take the gamble and see how many we could get! Of course, the 1 hour drive to the first one was nerve racking, but frequent refreshes of the cache status continued to show them as unfound! . Smiles all round as we arrived at the first one, to see a blank logsheet! Our luck mostly continued with only 1 of the 10 being snaffled by Gazza! So 9/10 FTFs was a pretty good effort!
Mobile reception out here was a little patchy, so I generally loaded the locations into my Garmin. This also helped preserve my phone battery! All caches were found quickly, and in great condition. I was logging the finds along the way, but I think dty was making the odd note at each location – so to see specific details at each location, check her logs . As for me, I enjoyed all the variety of locations, the country side even looked a little green – nice! My favourite was the old Mill. Pity we didn’t get closer to that one, it looked so interesting! But more FTFs awaited!
I was the navigator today, and really only messed up once, when a road on my Garmin map didn’t actually exist! Oh well, only a 1km detour… And thank you muchly dty73 for all the driving!
After about 4+ hours we arrived back in Canberra, noticing that we had completely missed lunch – oh well, FTF hunts do that! . Thanks for the 10 great caches GLISS!
