The first time I looked for this there was an entire toilet roll at GZ so I quickly abandoned the search. When the cache had been replaced I came back but there was a gang digging up the reserve to construct a bike track so I gave up that search. Today I decided the best course of action was to come during school hours. A quick poke around with a convenient stick and I had a nice clean and dry cache.
**21,819**Collecting up a few caches in the area. Checked out a few hints items before settling on the right one. Found with no muggles around in the early morning. TFTC
I was down this weekend for a catch up with the kids and Grandkids. I didn't have time for any ftfs or events unfortunately but we had a great family weekend. After dropping one son off at the Hibiscus Coast bus stop to go back to Uni I just wanted to grab a few caches. Good to get the March Solstice souvenir all sorted. I parked nearby and easily found the biggest tree. A few cool jumps for kids to enjoy on their bikes. Had to take a photo at the boulders. I'd done the earthcache one ages ago but I was surprised that 2 out of 3 caches I did in this area today had the boulders. I quickly found the cache, thanks
Not sure if I had the right tree, but the roll of toilet paper put me off looking any further.
Fairly direct route to here from the last. There is some danger tape nearby but that doesn't affect the cache find so all good here.
Onto the main business of the day, the largest of two loops which encompassed all the caches I never completed last time I was in the area. The rain and drizzle was steady for most of it and only really came to any real effect when I was at the point furthest from the car, of course!!
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

On my way up to Orewa for a barby with friends.
A few caches on the way.
2 boys on the bmx jumps, so had to be discreet.

Out with nufrat on a mission to get caches out this way. Looked at the obvious places before fining the cache in a less-obvious place. TFTC.
this cache concluded our enjoyable day in Silverdale. Thanks for all the hides G2. TFTC!
Parked close to GZ, and while MrsJag checked one tree Merlot checked another and found this cache.
Navigating these streets isn't easy when they aren't on your GPS, but made a quick find once here.
Found with kiwitrecker1 while exploring today. Had a quick bite to eat at the rocks and then went after the cache. Found the cache safe and well, possibly due to the protection of a guardian at the moment! TFTC!
Out and about enjoying the warm autumn weather. Looked in all the wrong places before reading the hint then a soon spotted the hide TFTC.
Great to find this cache. I wonder how heavy the rocks are and what is needed to move one. Anyway the family and I searched for it and discovered where it was. Signed and returned. Thanks.
After a walk around the Paremoremo Scenic Reserve and then grabbing some lunch from the Dairy Flat Bakery I decided I had sufficient time to find a few more hides before heading back home. I parked up Next to the park and made the short walk over to GZ. Cache was detected in the first spot I checked. Nice when that happens. Cheers for the cache placement!
Time for one more cache before I head back towards the motorway and make my way home. No problems here, TFTC
Easy find once I had the right tree!
My bad.
Good to see some more Silverdale Rocks ....

In the area again today. Parked nearby and waited for a nasty squall of rain to pass before walking to GZ to make the find.
Judging from the size of the camper parked here, I would guess that the owner lives nearby but doesn't have room on their own property to park it.

Kiwiscots Surf Life Saving started again today at nearby Red Beach. Drove through Millwater afterwards to collect our daily cache. Kiwi had noticed these rocks a few months back and was thinking that it could be an interesting place for a cache. Seems like G-2 had the same idea. All good. TFTC
Last one of these newish caches and I can't remember coming to this park before. Recognised the rocks though. Cache located ok and all well. TFTC
I too parked up and noticed the camper van as well, didn't notice any movement within, perhaps the occupants are not there! Doesn't seem like a spot you want to stay in.
The cache though, hopefully will stay here. An easy find and it was at the first tree I looked at.

These are the same rocks that are in my Silverdale boulders earthcache - good container - good hide.

Arrived here and there was a campervan parked nearby, which made me think I might have been beaten to the [FTF] here... but no... after spending some time searching behind the wrong tree even though it seemed really right, I found it behind the other, which my phone had initially pointed me to, and it revealed a blank log. Nice spot. FTF #22XX TFTC!!!
