Find # 11913On a brief work trip from the National Capital to Adelaide and I have a list of caches to collect in very little time Couldnt believe my luck to land this trip so soon after the MEGA so I can collect even more counties and add variety to my stats Picked up the trusty hire car on arrival and off I go. Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun Now to come up with some reasons as to why I need to drive around town doing research for the ADLABS Really pretty specimens and an overall pleasant sculpture to look at. Thanks for bringing me here.Answers sent to COThanks gridge98 for Hexa Weird Rocks

The plan today was to log all the cache types required for this months Wheel Of Challenges. Sadly I needed to come to Victor Harbour to be able to achieve my goal.
When I attended the lunchtime event I'd found all 8 types required.
Answers have been sent to cache owner. An interesting sculpture.

Found on Wednesday 10th May 2023 while on a relaxing day out in the hills and southern valleys. Thanks for the EC gridge98, nice to stop and see this sculpture. Answers submitted.
Another great day in the Adelaide Hills. Thanks Gridge98 for the earth lesson, and bringing us to this great little park. Nothing better than 3 good caches in the same area.
Nice park here. Cool scultpure.

Visited today with iluvtrekking on a day trip while staying in Mount Barker. Can't say the sculpture is to our personal taste but enjoyed making the observations which have been sent to the CO. Thanks gridge98
We visited this Earth Cache with richlink today as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We mulled over the questions and emailed our answers to gridge98.

Grabbed a few photos of this sculpture while doing a few cached around Macclesfield. A very nice town which you hope won't go the way of many of the other developments around here. Will send the answers off asap for approval. Cheers.
Tftc nice arvo with anvic, It is a beautiful sculpture dedicated to volunteering, cheers
We have been allowed to travel to South Australia and our first stop was Bordertown then onto Millicent where we will spend a few days before heading towards Adelaide.
We have arrived, it has been such a long time since we have been to Adelaide and we are out there finding the many caches that have been placed since we were last here or the ones we have not had time to find before. All caches are in good condition, some were easy finds some were down right difficult due to the great quality of their camo. This is our last day in SA, tomorrow we head back to Victoria

Stopped here today with ilook4geo and did a comparison of the rocks used for this sculpture. Worked out our answers which have been sent to the CO. It was an interesting piece with a special acknowledgement on it. Thanks go to gridge98 for creating this earth cache and bringing us here to have a closer look at his sculpture.

Full time nomads exploring SA, currently staying in Strathalbyn. Up at 5am for the ANZAC dawn service then off geocaching. On return to the caravan park (footy oval) another ANZAC service was under way before the A grade match.
It was lovely driving through towns and past houses that had put out tributes as we drove around.
LEST WE FORGET, they served to give us our freedom.

Out caching today while visiting from Brisbane. Due to the number of caches found today, I am doing a generic log. Each cache found was enjoyable to find and thank you for bringing me to this location. Answers sent to CO. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
I had a plan to head out for the day and target a few caches that required a specific TOTT and a few other caches in between. Pulled up near gz nd came up with some plausible answers which have been sent to the CO.

The owner found one of my Geocoin Tracking codes on a facebook Travelbug spoiler page. I am going to log all caches of this owner with Write Note instead of reporting it to groundspeak. Please feel free to delete this log as the hundreds of owners has to delete your logs.
Today I headed up the freeway to do a few selected caches mostly in the Littlehampton, Nairne and Mount Barker areas, but some a bit further afield. I was a bit surprised at just how busy it was, but I guess it is Sunday, nearly Christmas and a nice mild day so everyone is out and about.
I managed to visit a number of earthcaches and complete a few multis, traditionals and letterbox caches. All were found easily and were in good condition.
After finishing what I wanted to do today at Mount Barker, I decided to go down to Macclesfield and Meadows to visit a couple more earthcaches, including this one, before heading home.
Thanks gridge98 for an interesting earthcache.

I set myself two caching goals at the start of this year.
1) Reduce the number of days in my calendar that I hadn't found a mystery cache to satisfy a challenge cache.
2) Complete my calendar so that I had a minimum of 5 cache finds per day. Tick - done.
Then half way through the year I heard a whisper about another challenge cache in the pipeline that required a Multi cache on every calendar day. At that time still needed 129 days so 3) reduce those days became yet another goal.
Then Groundspeak wanted to start a streak at the end of August to get a souvenir. So I did. And I am still on that streak so I guess I now need to achieve 4) goals. My longest streak was 46 days when they last wanted a streak some years ago. So I needed to go and grab a cache today to see if I could do better than last time.
Today I needed a multicache which of course would also continue the streak. Sal was on holidays and happy to go for a drive as we have no geocaches within 20 kms of home anymore
After heading to Clarendon for the multicache we decided to came home via Macclesfield and stopped to look at this eathcache before heading over to Crystal Lake to view afew more amazing scuptures. [^]
Nice park. Answers sent and logged in anticipation that we were somewhere near the mark.

I wonder how long such an unstable looking stucture will stand for. One thing for sure is that they both won't be blown away in the wind.
Thanks to gridge98 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
Stopped by to admire the sculpture and do the research and was quite surprised to see such a variability in grain size. Thanks for a great Earthcache gridge98!
Mrs frog was enjoying a drive around the area and decided a couple of caches would finish the day off, seeing this earthcache nearby we made a beeline to GZ collecting the info required, fast forward a couple of weeks we realised this was still waiting to be logged, info sent to CO and now logged, love visiting this neat country town

Today my target was to hit my next big milestone. I also wanted to get 10 Freddo caches, I am attempting to get to 350 Freddo finds by the end of the year. I think I got 8 in the end, 10 was a bit too ambitious given all the other things that needed to be done today. My list tells me I still have 360 odd to find so a long way off ever being anything near Freddovarna.
I did however make it to 9000 caches and had a nice day out. Saw lots of wildlife including a ginormous bull. The weather was a bit weird but definitely much better than yesterday.
Managed to make my on time arrival at Marion shopping centre at 3.30pm if only I had all the day light hours for caching....
Stopped in Macclesfield for a 'comfort' stop. Haven't been here before, nice little place and excellent facilities. Will come back with husband and hound another weekend for a proper look. Found the Hexa Weird Rocks, took some photos, did some feeling and will send answers to CO. TFTC gridge98 made for an enjoyable stop.

LiB & I went out & about near home to take my aging geo-pet, Mandy, out of the house on a quick road trip for the afternoon...
Arrived at Macclesfield and the obvious GZ...
We closely inspected the structure and wrote some scratchings on a tattered notebook and sent our answers to the CO...
Now logging with permission...

A nice little town with some interesting art.
Geology... rocks... granite... it still confuses me Hexa big time! Although it was good to stop and stretch the legs on a sunny afternoon.

This afternoon we visited Macclesfield and collected information for this earthcache. Answers to the questions have already been sent to the CO. Thanks for the earthcache.
Doctor Owl asked me if I would like to join her and sushilord for a day of caching and of course I said yes. [^] After some discussion it was decided that we would target some puzzle caches near Goolwa and meander our way there stopping to find caches that we passed (or detoured to!) A fun day was had by all, lots of caches found, laughter and frivolity, and our target met...what better way to spend a day.
This one was the last for the day and as we were driving right past we decided to stop. [^] Had a good discussion and Doctor Owl said she would send off the answers to the CO which she did.
Thanks for the cache gridge98.

Owl has been missing serious caching, so hatched an audacious plan for a full day of caching with Sushilord and JJ52, despite orders from Eagle 'not to overdo it'. No such thing in caching! A day of laughs and finds followed. This was one for the way home and and interesting stop. Then it was a well-earnt rest for Owl, with her GPS claiming there were no caches in any appreciable distance!
A plan was hatched for a day of caching with Dr Owl and JJ. The main goal was to get our names in the B60 series of caches and anything on the side of the road. Along the way we had many laughs and enjoyed a good haul of finds.
There's always time for one last cache. This trio have a thing about earth caches.
Answers sets to the CO by Doctor Owl.

Post wedding at a venue just up the road, jesswrigley were on our return back to Adelaide and so called in to a few final geocaches around Macclesfield. I had known about this new Earthcache here, but didn't realise what the geology was until today. We pulled up, and analysed the sculpture to come up with a few answers. It made us a think a little. Have sent the answers to the CO, thanks gridge98, nice one.
Found while on a fatigue break. It was nice for a change not to be driving around the badlands. There is parking on both sides of the road for a truck, that makes a change. I wrote the answers down on the back of a sales docket, i wonder what head office thought when they read that information. Logging with co approval. I am more surprised that 3lg hadn't put a earth cache here first.
In Macclesfield targeting a few caches do stopped off and checked out the hexa cube, took a selfie, gathered the info and was on my way

When this was published Brad was out with Ruff_Ruff, giving Janet some time at home with TheBiteyQuinn who is still in the early training stages.
This spot is one we know well. Brad took up riding a bicycle a few years and his first charity ride began in Macclesfield very close to GZ. No need for a GPSr.
We also have a few EC finds overseas which are based on a similar theme to this one. So the answers were not too challenging.
Ruff_Ruff always enjoys a walk on the grass too.
An interesting couple of rocks at GZ. As a long serving emergency service volunteer Brad very much appreciates the engraved words on the upper rock.
Answers have been collected and sent off. And quickly okayed by the CO. We were the first to send answers in so we will claim the *FTF* too
