DNF for us today.

22-Jul-19
Some people have found it since it was disabled?

03-Jul-19
With reference to the previous log. I think it is best that I remove this cache as I really don’t want to read logs that have me on the verge of tears! Given the nature of the cache, it is possible that it is being moved by muggles and hence the coordinates keep changing, as none of the people who are complaining about the coordinates have actually got theirs in agreement either. Thanks for making a hard time for me even worse. You could have worded things differently and sent a message privately if you are that peeved. I will remove and archive it tomorrow to ensure I no longer have to read this sort of log ️

03-Jul-19
I will be removing it when I get the chance, in the next day or so. Too many people not happy ️

Oh, hesus, all the shenanigans with the coordinates in the logs here. And for some reason CO still hasn't updated them...
Maybe this was meant to be a mystery cache? Big Grin

Anyway, I was also lurking around the toilet for quite a while, simultaneously reading logs and trying to make sense of this cache.
Eventually I got it, but I think I unintentionally trampled some plants though. It is easy to say "there is no need to squash any plants" and then make a hard to find cache among all the plants and give the wrong coordinates, also among the plants.

It's a really creative and cool cache placement, just all of the above ruined the experience for it a bit.

**So others wouldn't need to scroll down through all the logs, so, the real coords are
S 43° 34.119 E 172° 45.696
And you need to go to to the left side of the toilets instead of the right side. GL.**

Finally had a day for me & mum to go out caching & find a few by ourselves. So left the toddler at home, filled the car with snacks, and we were off!!

So out we went, and decided to try find as many as possible around town today, with a few new ones being publishes / added to the solved list. Wasn't a super big day then, but at least we knocked some out of the way ones off!

TFTC!! Smile

Out for the day caching with daughter! We did not really have a plan and found ourselves backtracking a bit, but what a fun day! I stopped at this one a couple of times previously with no luck, and I am surprised we found it this time - and that was only thanks to the logs saying the coordinates are out (they were) and giving a better idea of where to look. I can see the vegetation suffering quite a bit. TFTC!

11-Jun-19
This took a lot longer than we thought, not nice looking around the toilets. After reading some logs we renewed our efforts until the find was made. TFTCSmileSmile

not so easy coordinates out TFTC

That was clever! Very pleased to cross this off the dnf list! Thanks for the hide!

I had a quick look for this one earlier without any luck. Returned to our breakfast place to find that I had a bit more time so I read through some previous logs where there were some handy hints. I managed to grab another opportunity although a much longer walk than earlier and soon found it
A different sort of container to the usual.

As I wasn't too far away from Sumner and with all the children still in school I thought I'd make another attempt at seeking this cache. After my last visit I had taken notice of the CO's comments last December but when I got there today I could not find any 'waist height greenery' in the vicinity of GZ - all the greenery was either knee height or 15' high.. However, an extensive search soon produced the goods. The log was too full to sign so I replaced it with a fresh log and baggie. Glad to get this cache off my unfound list. TFTC

In ChCh for a memorial and work event, out with cousin SharonGilmore walking and caching for the day. Lovely weather, bit brisk but warming up nicely. Searched for a while and didn't give up. Read previous logs and SharonGilmore found it, sadly she is not a premium member. Off to Sumner for lunch. Tftc.

21-May-19
Bag is wet and log is full, sorry I didn't have anything on me to replace it, not very organized.

19-May-19
Well. I have been to look for this cache a few times with no luck. In the area today and thought i would have another go. Read the logs and spotted the updated hint and spotted it straight away. Glad to finally turn this into a smiley face. Tftc

So had some stuff to do over this side of town nice playing with some new devices. Took a while to find it but then after going around in circles an it, the. Read the hint and logs. Had another look and spotted something that didn't fit the scene and BOOM baby! Score. Thanks for the cache and maintaining it all.

Was just about to give up when I finally spotted it. Coordinates are still off. Follow catseye's description below instead.

A quick and easy find today. I figured that with the weather as it was it would be a good time to search, and it was. Glad I don't need to lurch near hear for a while. Cheers

It threatened to rain most of the day today, but we decided to go out caching anyway. Lucky for us the rain held off till our ride home.!

Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

10-Mar-19
So happy not to have to lurk around here anymore. Thought we were the first this year but others logged on line. Tftc

22-Feb-19
Third time is the charm!

20-Feb-19
It was tricky to locate this cache without proper coordinates but, we did it!!

17-Feb-19
Cache is definitely there. From facing the toilet block, go around to the left. There are two plies of sand, not sure why, but it is very close to them in the vegetation a bit.

10-Feb-19
Could not find. Felt uncomfortable walking around the toilet as it was really busy.

31-Jan-19
Definitely still in place have put an owner photo taken straight above it.

31-Jan-19
Owner photo: taken above cache and locked on to previous coordinates

21-Jan-19
A great day to be out caching but unfortunately a DNF for me. Sad

21-Jan-19
Will disable again as I am in Japan at the moment and will check and see if it’s been muggled when I get back.

09-Jan-19
Just frustrating. Would you consider updating the coordinates, CatseyesNZ? I had a good look around under greenery but felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack! Thanks!

09-Jan-19
No luck here trying to get the rogue green!! 9m NE of co-ords had us scrambling thro the under growth so but inkeeping with instructions. Will come And look another day Smile

03-Jan-19
Had a good look in what I thought was the new location but no luck for me today - can seem to see much clues at ‘waist height’ other than the trees that were well looked over. I will be back to try again. Hopefully some others might have some better luck in the mean time

31-Dec-18
All good to go, now about 9m NE of listed coordinates, in some waist height greenery, hopefully out of muggle harm. Still no need to walk on any plants to retrieve!

14-Dec-18
Checked this today and found it had been mugged. Found most of the parts so will reassemble and replace soon. Will move to a less open site and hope it won’t be muggles again.

14-Dec-18
Temporary disable due to muggle attack. Will enable once fixed and move slightly so not so obvious

12-Dec-18
To continue with my personal challenge of having found a minimum of 10 caches for every day of the year I needed to find 4 caches today to bring my total finds for the 12th December to 10. In looking for a location where I had 4 caches waiting for me to find is getting a little problematical when I have found all the caches close to home - there is only the odd singleton here and there.. The closest group of 4 available where all in the Sumner- Godley Head area so that was where I headed on this misty rain day.

I had only time for a 1 minute search before a seemingly endless stream of people arrived to use the toilet. I am not comfortable loitering around toilet blocks at any time so I abandoned my search. .

10-Dec-18
Came for a walk with a friend and we attempted this one, but no luck. The weather was not that pleasant so no muggles around, and both of us searched quite intensely for some time, but nope. Hopefully next time!

04-Dec-18
Great wee container!good little adventure to find, awesome scenery.

27-Nov-18
It wasn't raining this morning and I had the day off. I thought that I would search for this one again. How did I miss that last time?

Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au

If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.
Thanks for hiding this geocache.

19-Nov-18
Just checked. All in place as it should be.

17-Nov-18
Was here for 20 minutes and couldn’t find it. I was walking around in circles not really sure where to look. Need more of a hint. Another time maybe.

12-Nov-18
Out that way this morning and checked it out. It is still there safe and sound.

12-Nov-18
Sneaky wee container. It deserves a favorite from us...TFTH

12-Nov-18
Not having a good day today

10-Nov-18
We spent a lot time searching.

06-Nov-18
TFTC. Out for a wander at Taylors Mistake and decided to stop and have a look for this cache.
Quickly located - coords perfect.
Love the container.
Thanks CatseyesNZ for placing the cache.

Back for a second crack at this one. Had the teens with me today and I told them my theory about what we could be looking for. Ten seconds later, son had found it. How embarrassing for me!!
TFTC.

31-Oct-18
Checked and it is still in place.

26-Oct-18
I had an idea of what I might be looking for but maybe not after all. Drew a complete blank here. Next time.....

19-Oct-18
As soon as I saw the hint I had a pretty good idea what I would be looking for. I needed a cache for my streak and the day was getting on so I took a drive to Sumner. As you do.

I arrived at GZ, or so I thought, to find people everywhere! Thankfully another look at the GPS redirected me, and I soon proved my suspicions correct. Nicely executed, and nicely positioned (out of sight of most muggles).

TFTC CatseyesNZ, have a favourite point Cool

The hint had us in a bit of a tizz, but absolutely accurate in the end. A beautiful day and so busy for the midweek. Really nice to have a find on the flat. Thanks we enjoyed the little interlude.

16-Oct-18
Took a bit of thought but got there in the end. TFTC

15-Oct-18
Ended up being a busy night. TG and I headed out for a Mad Monday Mission and we had a good catch up about the school holidays and life in general and thougt we could grab a few caches. We grabbed a few and even scored a few FTFs to sow up the month of October for those of us that like to do a bit of FTF streaking.
Felt a bit dodge here, glad TG had already found it. Quick find and out of there.

Thanks for the cache CatseyesNZ.

Gz was quiet and kept coming back to the same spot but nothing. On widening my search I noticed something that was out of place and that was it well done. TFTH

10-Oct-18
Tftc!! Been waiting for one of these for a while.. nice to catch up with cache owner again.. and get some news of up coming events

10-Oct-18
Just went to a quick visit to check on things as the icon indicates a slightly different place to the actual hide. Must be jumpy under the trees. Try searching about 5 m closer to the ocean, behind rather than beside the building. Sorry for any confusion!!

Well. That would have been easier during the day! Nice one. Found what i expected after a bit of a search after waiting ~30min for some talking muggles at a seat beside gz to depart!
