On my way home from a fishing trip to Tantangara, thought I would pick this one up on the way. By golly the ants are friendly. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
TFTC!! Fun cache that we found. Was a bit unsafe as there was a lot of fire ants that had made the cache location their new home. Thanks for the cache!!

We decided to make use of a little sunshine break between all the rain to get outdoors for a while. This cache was the only one our list for the day. We parked safely on the suggested spot and then headed off towards gz. The kids loved walking through some of the puddles with their gumboots. The cache was found in good condition and the kids made a few trades. FP awarded. TFTC!

At least the guardians of this one isn’t as active as the one at Hannibal. Thanks for this one
Maintenance run today. All good. Added another log book as original is approaching full.
I was expecting a bit more from the T3 rating, but won’t complain. Cache in good condition. Tftc

Muggle65 and l had spent the whole day indoors with Mum as it is our last day here. She got a visitor so we dashed out for one cache. We parked less than 40m from the cache. Nevertheless my boots were full of seeds and spears by the time we returned to the car. Thank you so much for the cache.
Today’s cache is another tribute to everybody’s caching friend Roostaman & Mrs Roostaman in this instance great cache all in good order ta.

The terrain had us guessing.. but nice quick find. Lots of laughs and ants..now the trip down again lol! Left a kitty kat and card.
Stopped to do this cache while travelling through this area with ilook4geo. There was no problem in locating the cache and the log was duly signed with both names before all was carefully put back into place. Thanks got to SKI Pair for placing this cache.

Well lookie here! A cache in honour of the Roosters - but are they really roosters? Nice decoration in any case I must say and a bit of an uplift after the last two dud caches that we found in this town
Thanks SKI Pair.

JezNDez and I had made a mad 3000km, 4 day dash from Brisbane and back, on the hunt for a first to find at the summit of Mt Jagungal in Kosciuszko National Park. After successfully completing the overnight hike, we returned to Cooma for a night to enjoy a well earned hot shower and proper bed. After a good night's rest it was time to start the long drive back to Brisbane, visiting a number of caches along the way including this one.
Dez and I had packed our cold weather gear for our hike but we certainly weren't needing it here today, with temperatures in the mid 30's. Luckily it was only a short walk from where we parked the car to the hiding spot of this well themed cache container. TFTC

With a wailing, semi comatose geo-tot & a fractious junior navigator, the odds were against me finding this cache. However, after a quick stroll beside the highway & a scramble up the embankment, the booty was in my hands kudos for the awesome packaging!
Day three of my travels around Yass and Tumut chasing caches. Drove a few back roads collecting caches amongst the traffic (lots of people were up in the mountains over the long weekend). A good range of caches before heading home around lunch time. Drove through a little part of the summer bushfire country but f I had have headed through Tumbarumba would have been a different story.
This was a nice littel container after a short walk where I was watched by the horses.

Thanks heaps for the cache!!. All looks to be in good working order. Pretty wet and sticky, but all in good fun!
Spent the day in Tumut, to do some caching.
We found a variety of hides, and good size containers.
Bit of a challenge to get to this one, but cache found high & dry.
Many thanks for placing this cache, SKI Pair, for us and others to find.

On a quick trip to Tumut after the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions so we did a maintenance run and dropped off some swag for the kids as well. All good with Mr and Mrs Roosta
#6036 30th for today
I was starting to get a bit stir crazy at home so I decided to head out and grab a few caches around the Adelong & Tumut area. It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot and mostly muggle free, for obvious reasons. I was a bit late getting away due to ScoMo's broadcast this morning. But I still managed to make a good impact on the unfound caches in the region. I particularly enjoyed the wander around the old gold-mining works around Adelong. A bit of water flowing through here today and with the green, it was good to see. Also enjoyed the walk around the wetlands in Tumut. Some lovely views along the Tumut Plains road later in the day too.
Apologies for the smell of hand sanitizer on the log. I went through a lot today.
Thanks SKI Pair

Daddy Davo loved this one, was easily as good as a $5 feature on high stakes.
Back in Tumut for a flying visit, so decided a maintenance run was on the agenda. Mr and Mrs Roosta are in good order and waiting to be found.
Tumut invasion trip May 2019. A local Canberra group decided to head up to Tumut for a weekend of caching and meeting and greeting. Several groups were out and about over the weekend and we all had a great time despite a bit of wetness and a bit of cold, which was to be expected. Day two I joined up with Fitzy_1965 for a few town area caches and then up into the local forest for a few more in the morning. The afternoon was time for a few DNFs from a trip a few years ago.
Thanks.

18,148. Found with minniek and the Geo-family during the way to the Tumut Invasion.
The invasion was on and this was one of the few caches I had up for grabs. Next one for the day, and after parking nearby an appropriate cache and container was found.
Thanks SKI Pair !! I found the original back in June 2016, and its the first chance I've had to come back for the 3 follow on caches.

There was a small group of "us" heading off to meet more of "us" in Tumut for the weekend. Our merry band of misfits was made up of MTrax, Tankengine, Joolay, Aquilus1 and myself. In the car we all thought of a name that we could call our gang, but in the end we decided it was a Canberra Invasion Trip that we were on so just went with CBR5. We signed logs either indiviually or with the group name.
It was an awesome weekend all up, with lots of fun with friends. We cached all day then met up with the rest of the Invasion Team for dinner Saturday night, then cached some more on Sunday until it was time to head home. Tftc SKI Pair!!!

Found with dty73, Aquilus1, Joolay and Mtrax on our Canberra invasion of Tumut and surrounds! (Log signed as CBR5). Of course, we also had a lot of other Canberra cachers in town this weekend, and we all had a dinner on Saturday night at the pub! It was a great weekend, and I think a lot of us "cleaned out Tumut" Thanks for the cache SP.
Out caching with GLISS as part of the Tumut invasion. We had a great day with mostly finds, only a few DNFs.
Haha, nice container. The roosta is a bit lonely though in this medium sized container with only a log in it.

A big up here, managed this really easily though even with the slight rain, but we stayed dry... Thanks boys!

May the Fourth be with you. The Canberra invasion of Tumut has begun! Found with Boeing737. TFTC.
Pa was again a hero today as he agreed to chauffeur me around Tumut this afternoon. I had plotted a route using Cachetur.no that worked like a charm, after Pa had helped me to organise it into some sort of order.
It looked as if the storms might come in again but we were done in a couple of hours and back to the van in no time at all despite having a DNF that cost me big time, and a relative of that one which I ended up finding eventually, thanks to a modern equivalent of PAF.
All logs were signed, though some as SG as I often do in small caches to save space. Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for us to find. TNLN

#3 for the day with Trodectus. Had stayed the night in Tumut after attending the Festival of the Falling Leaf and we decided to do a few caches before heading home. We parked nearby and headed to GZ. Once there we started searching and soon had CIH. Log signed and replaced. TFTC.

Looks like all is good back in The Roosta home they are happy to just roam around Tumut for a little longer. Maybe he needs more time for his legs to mend and now he is back with the Misses she can give him some TLC and the recovery might be a little quicker.
The sights around here are really very nice and are something you should not miss out on. The amazing river with plenty of fish and crays to eat, the park lands and laneways around so Cher and Amber can go for their walks when they need to. They even have plenty of spots for the family to have a meal out occasionally but watch which one you go to cause some of the like chicken tonight, so they need to avoid them ones.
This cache was another good hide and an easy one to find. All is good with it, found it quickly, signed the log, replaced it, now it is time to head on back to Wagga Wagga and work.
Thanks for these cache SKI pair we did enjoy them, Lil Donna
