Very friendly

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

What a lovely day out in and around King’s Billabong. Lots of campers on the river. Didn’t quite get the area cleared, so will be back but not on this trip. Highlights for today included wildflowers, river views, and a surprise encounter with a wriggly stick

This is a friendly cache! Easy find and all good here.

Hello friend, we’ve been geocaching for years and even gotten a few overseas. Took a hiatus when the kid grew up and was too uninspired to go camping, but recently decided to resume. Some of the best times we’ve ever had were going to geo events and meeting other treasure hunters and problem solvers. Now a days the team it’s geo hubby, the EvilQueen, geodog and beastie the Land Rover who travel.
We intended to do a big Outback trip for a month but we only made it to Mildura from our home in the Otways before lockdown hit. We been here for nearly 3 weeks at a campsite on the Murray but going out on our bicycles and for walks picking off the local geocaches as we go has made the trip worth it. Will have to go home soon, the Outback will have to wait another year.

Please excuse belated generic log. We (and LAPUN) began our objective to drive from home, (being border towns Albury/Wodonga NSW/Vic on the Mighty Murray river) to Eucla WA and return.
Departed on the 17th April and returned Anzac day 25th.A good 8 days camping at a different place each night. Caching was not one of our objectives but managed an average of 2 per day giving a total of 16 hides.
All hides were in good to fair condition and none required maintenance. Thanks to CO for placement of cache.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominatley to avoid any mistaken revisitation. I thank CO/s for cache placement.

*Found by Snap Happy* Cool

After a few days in Mildura with Happy pants, Happy Feet, The Empire, omegaman1971 and Rebel Acts it was time to grab a coffee and grab the last few caches before heading for home. It was a great time away with nice weather and good company. A great time was had by all. Big Grin

SO - with the prerequisite coffee and car fueled, we headed back to grab the few remaining caches in this area. Smile

Thanks for the cache ww2_nut. Appreciate your efforts. Big Grin
Stamped log and returned as found.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.

We enjoyed the wander into the neat little hide. We only stamped our names, as we were on a mission to finish the GOT series before leaving today.

Thanks ww2_nut for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

My last day here in Mildura, Happy Pants was keen to finish the Game of Thrones series this morning - no matter how much walking we needed to do! Snap Happy, Rebel Acts and Happy Feet joined for a fun morning wandering around these cool trails picking up clues along the way... and any other caches that we came across. Thanks for the cache ww2_nut.

Found this one this morning while grabbing a few nearby hides. This one was quickly located after a short stroll from the car park and search. We have been caching since 2012 after being introduced to this crazy game by family members and since then we have enjoyed where caching has taken us too. We are currently living in a small town along the Murray River about 6 hours from Mildura but love coming up here to explore and enjoy the region. Boy the hides l have done up this way over the years from doheng, TheVersteegs, Aussie M&M, Mebclever, cruisinblues, honeysucker and now the from the current CO has always kept us on the look out for some great hides. We have done many caches since 2012 in town, many hides still about and also quite a few now gone to geocaching heaven but still remember doing a night cache out this way back in 2012 with my family and extended caching family and we were greeted by a bunyip with red reflective eyes, it was very cool and l must of visited the billabong almost each time l am up this way grabbing a new hide. Probably the best and well made letterbox series l have ever done was a Harry Potter series out this neck of the woods by Lord rossatron with the stamps being top notch (l think maybe the river might of claimed these ones a few years back) but there is always a reason to make our way back up this part of the world and by simply grabbing a smilie as we travel about, no doubt we will find our selves back to Kings Billabong, besides there are two water caches not too far from here that will one day get the better of me and l will have to try my luck... thanks again ww2 nut for yet another hide.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.

The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.

Thanks ww2_nut for the cache.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.

We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.

We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.

It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!

***Generic Log unless something special above this line.***

I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Razz Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW

Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT! Big Grin

Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Cool Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously. Wink

I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]

***Thanks ww2_nut for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Hi there ww2_nut.

We found your cache **"A friendly cache"** at 11:33:00 AM today.

Today we headed out from our camp site so we could finish the "GOT" series. - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with series logs.. Twisted

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache roughly where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge

Thank you ww2_nut for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny
