Haha, very cool sneaky hiding place. Had to read some of the earlier notes & muster the courage to feel around to find it. Cache still dry & in good condition.
Didn't find it today but it we were loosing light so we'll just have to come back and find it another time
This was fun! Searched with the clue in mind and after no luck with initial search, read a few logs. It seemed I was on the right track but hadn't groped around quite far enough. Second find of the morning with the wee people. Glad to tick a second one off because our first effort with a multi was hampered by muggles at GZ (Wow - 32 caches in and we're starting to use caching speak. Must be getting serious!) TFTC
We are in Nelson hunting for a house to buy before we make the move here. I got a few minute's furlough this morning, so I came here to make a quick find. Nice camo, but not really needed. TFTC.
People walking by probably thought we were sus yet again, but fun find. Found by the prowlers
No worries here this afternoon. Which was good as I was already late for meeting my son at the time we agreed. TFTC
On a 3 week geocaching trip with woolwood9 around the top of the South Island.
*Very nice find for us here.*
SL **tm/ww NZ**, but may appear as a black smudge on the many wet logs or plastic log strips.
*Thanks for the reason to visit this location and for the cache!*
More rain - almost all day again!

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Had a day off work so decided to find a few caches. Sneaky hide!! Cache all good. Thanks Sidewaze!!
Out with missnboyz and tjacks1 for a few caches this sunday morning. Found a phone whilst looking for this cache - if anyone is missing one please message me? I shall take it to the police station in the morning.
The cache is nice and dry and in an excellent container. thanks for placing! TFTC

Had a quick stop and look yesterday on the way to the dam but gave up. Today I searched then checked recent logs, then contorted and reached and grabbed. Yay, success and avoided that guy in the car eating his pie, and his dog patrolling the river bank menacingly
Last day of May and after a nights rest at home I was back over the hill for a second consecutive day to get an unfound (by me) Earthcache from Brook Valley as well as some other cache treats. Only a modest few caches today but a nice walk around the airport and a FTF too!
A funny long weekend this one was. mrs capperz has headed to the North Island to await the birth of grandchild number 12, yes 12 (with another due in October), and so I was at a 'loose end', yeah right. Also on the agenda is an impending move of us and the household to Auckland, maybe as soon as 4 weeks time, and I have 3 days off work, fuel is not too badly priced at the minute (starting to sound like a Blues Brothers line) so it was a chance to roll down the drive for 3 separate forays into Nelson/Tasman territory to pick off some random caches. Not a 'numbers' trip, more a settling the stats trip. I was keen to make a few more beltfamily cache finds to get to the magical triple figures, plus some unfinished rail business from Marlborough's t S. A weekend of great tramping/walking/caching weather, 3 consecutive days of 20kms walked, nice, and some great scenery.

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

I have to go to Nelson for work today, and my calendar says I need to find a micro so I figured I would spend lunchtime getting three of them. One of the micros was labelled "Other" so did not count, so i ended up hunting down four in all. This was the last. Damn. Big enough for a path tag. I don't have any - my entire cache kit consists of a pen and a pocket computer. If I had taybeedragon's awesome cache kit, there were two missing ones I came across where the location was obvious and i would have replaced them.
No muggles about. And lunchtime too!

It's a busy path here! Took me longer than expected to make the find but using my iPhone camera I managed to spot what I was looking for and then a quick wrist twist and I got it. Sign the log wait for more people to pass and then the sneaky return. Thanks Sidewaze, your cache is in good condition.
First of the day on a morning bike ride up the Maitai. Thanks for the cache.
On our trip today from Nelson to Greymouth we quickly found and logged this one. Thank you so much for hiding.

I found this geocache while taking a very leisurely walk around the maitai walkway. Just a few muggles to contend with while signing the log. Find #546
My fourth visit!!!
After an enjoyable walk with b&w I asked for his assistance to help me find this nemesis cache.
As I was looking where he told me to, around the hint item, he put his hand in on the one next door and handed me the container. Yay.
We replaced it where the hint suggested rather than where we found it.
I still don't know how on earth I could have missed it before. It wasn't that hard!!

An early morning walk with SJT_NZ, now that days are getting longer there is the possibility of getting an early cahe in especially for a souvenir season. Nicely camoed and hidden cache all in very good order, thanks Sidewaze for a nice cache on our walk.
Found with Tregearp whilst out for some morning exercise. All quiet here this morning.
Thanks for another nicely constructed Sidewaze cache.

For too long there has been a mounting number of unfound caches in the local area so this Mystery at the Museum Challenge is good way to try and reduce them. Our target today was the eastern area of Nelson and this was the first one we came across. A bit apprehensive about muggles we were lucky enough to arrive when there were none about although we could see shadows moving cross the bridge while we were in the vicinity. No problem finding the cache.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
After neglecting local caches for a long time with the rationale that they might come in handy when the pressure was on we're in the hunt solving the "Mystery at the Museum". Today we made a small wish list of caches to take advantage of some fine springlike weather. We made our first stop here and had a quick find. We spend a bit of time just watching the crystal clear water rushing past before heading off again. Thank you Sidewaze
After visiting the Nelson market in the morning we went on a nice walk along the river, really nice!
Couldn't find it at first attempt, had another look after we turned around and decided to walk back. This time I cleaned some more spiderwebs until I made the find.

Great hide, great spot. It was nice here today, left a gift for the next finder.

As I arrived at GZ after a nice walk along the river banks...immediately I thought, this is going to be tortious...so many options and its magnetic..but I got lucky second spot I checked...thanks didewaze ..sneaky hide and great cache
A tough little find this one. Coords are spot on but there are a few options. Read the other logs, but was surprised and glad that long arm length was not a prerequisite today. Safely found during foraging bursts in between joggers. If that makes sense. Thanks Sidewaze.
I had planned a while out to make the trip over the hill today. Lately my Canterbury finds have been well outstripping the Tasman/Nelson ones, so thought this needed some redress. If I can get over once every 6 weeks or so this year that would be great.
So the weather played ball, and the plans were loose. 3 caches were on my wishlist, but none were essential today. Instead I kind of just looked at what was next closest on the map and went for that. In the end I only found one of those anyway.
There is never a bad day caching I guess, but today there were some challenges. Any thoughts of walks in the hills were quickly extinguished (excuse the pun) due to the fire ban; a couple of problem hides that I thought I had good ken on still proved elusive; and it was muggle central at a few others due to sports and whatnot. I probably DNFed or did not attempt more caches than I actually found today, so the day went quickly. Just 21 to log as found, but some good ones in there. Had good success with multis, and even solved the finals for some that will require visits later. Also caught up for a chat with team GKMLB who had helped with an SOS!
Thanks to all the COs. I will log the DNFs and hopefully they are more down to my incompetence than anything.

At home with a sick HorseGirlNZ today which changes my twosie+ plan for the day.
So time to call in a local cache. I’d tried for this one on a couple of occasions earlier in the summer but always too many muggles.
A Thursday lunchtime proved a better time especially as the protracted groundwork’s now appear to have been completed.
Taking a couple of options each my reach was just that bit better and the cache was soon found.
Thanks Sidewaze

Thought we knew where the cache was from the other day so came back to search that particular spot and after putting a hand in we had the cache in our hands. Thanks for the sneaky hide Sidewaze!
In town for lunch and remembered reading about this one, so called by, minus gps, for an almost instant find in the second place I tried. Seemed perfectly logical to me:). Tftc.
First visit was disbanded after a long hunt with no success. Second visit almost went down the same path but a call to a previous finder had me looking more diligently in a place I'd felt around in numerous times before and lo and behold, there it was, an early Christmas present{:)}. TFTC Sidewaze
After failing to find this cache on my first attempt last week I was back for another go today. I parked along the road and walked to GZ. As I approached I noticed two suspicious looking characters loitering with intent - lol - it was team bullertrout. After searching for ages last time, this time I found the cache in the first place I put my hand! TFTC, Biggles.
Had a quick look to start with then I heard someone getting close so stopped looking. Turned out to be Biggles so back to looking and ended up being a quick find.
This one was a bit far away from us to head for it on the day of publication and as we had another one come out on the same day a lot closer to home, that is the one we headed for. This one was almost forgotten about, but then I realised we needed to grab it for a challenge. With rain at home, we headed into town and clearer skies. Found a park and made the short walk to cache. No one else around and we made a quick find and sign. tftc
In town for a spot of Christmas shopping so I decided to see if I could come and find this cache. As I approached I could see a sea of work men and women and wondered if there would even be a chance of getting near it. I found a park and wandered along to where I imagined the cache might be. The work men and women were all well out of sight so I did not have to worry about them.
Looked at the possibilities and decided it was going to be a feel for cache. Luckily it was in the first place I tried. I absolutely love it when that happens as I am not known for enjoying putting my hand into potentially spidery places.
A nice easy find in a nice wee spot, although I am not sure I would want to be there on my own at night time.
Thanks for placing this cache and of course thank you for the smiley

Took a few minutes to get my hands on it, only just had it and muggles started appearing from all angles, took it to the river bank for a "look" while signing. Thanks Sidewaze

Out on the bike with Mr.KE. We headed up the hill to see how much sticky mud we could pile on our bikes.
Slither slide down (over night rain) then round to here. He had the cache details and GPS, I just followed.
Quickly found (luck) , signed and return.
Now off home to clean up all that mud.
Thanks Sidewaze for this cache.

We saw this come out last night and just assumed the FTFer would have found it immediately. If we had known she would have liked company we could have joined her. We were going to leave this until next month as we are hoping to have a few to find as a team as Sobad will have time then. However, Mrs SoBad was invited for a walk and it took us right past the cache. So her companions without much enthusiasm said we should have a quick look. It was close to our selfimposed deadline when the cache was found by one of the companions while the other was the lookout.
Mrs Sobad had been looking at our stats a few days ago and noticed that our finds for the caches set by this CO had moved into second equal with beltfamily - and behind bumandworker of course. So this moves the CO into second place and it is very likely that will be a permanent place. That has to be worth of a favourite point.

After the over night rain the morning looked pretty nice for a ride with the Bum. We knew the tracks might be a little damp but didn't think they would be as muddy and slippery as they were. I was quite happy to stay upright the whole way down. One woman rider in front of us didn't manage that but she survived the fall ok. Once at gz I was watched for muggles while the Bum instantly found the cache. Now it's time to head home and grab a hose and bucket.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.
