Found it after a nice stroll up the hill. A local stopped and I asked him about the ruins. They are the ruins of the original house on the property. He knew the old hotel ruins are nearby, but didnt know exactly where. Very friendly cows. Thanks for the cache in a nice out-of-the way place.Hicky
Found 25/09/24. Cache was slightly exposed, so i have tried my best to cover it back up.
TFTC smile19649 Day 6 out and about on a rainy/Sunny day on my way to Wollongong in a round about way picking up LGAs on the way signed as GS1947 on small logs Thank you GLISS! for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Reperio 07:10Travelled towards Canberra today with my Miss Vitruvius for the upcoming Capital GeoBashMega event, and we spent the majority of the day chasing geocaching series and power trails. We managed to replace a few containers and logs in different places, but for most of things, the caches were found in good condition. This was our first caching stop of our trip, and we enjoyed our stop here.Gratias GLISS!As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Find#6433Nice hiding place What a epic road trip exploring Australia Thanks for the cache
We headed out today for a really good country drive with ilook4geo. The scenery was great and we say lots of livestock along the way. This cache was quickly and easily found and we were soon on our way again. Thanks for adding this cache to the game go to GLISS!
Enjoyed a day out caching with goingplaces2. Log here was signed and replaced. TFTC.
In the area to grab a few caches. We found a variety of hides, some easy, and many much harder.Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, GLISS!, for us and others to find.
No sign of the cache at GZ, since it hasn't been found in almost a year I think it needs replacing now.
JohnoMawbs’s 30/10/22 Day Trip
I heard there were four events on today and better yet, I was even asked to attend them. So, this meant I couldn’t miss them. I left home at 6am and headed for Yass for B’fast. After B’fast, I did some caching before the first event. A nice event at Gunning and then it was time for more caching on the way to Crookwell. Then it was time for the Crookwell CCE which was another fun event. A forty minute wait for lunch but I had plenty of conversations about all things Geo with the other attendees. Once again, it was time to do some more caching which included cleaning up as many caches as possible. This included caches in Crookwell, along the way to Goulburn and in Goulburn. Now time for the combo event which was made up of both Geocaching and Munzee. A different but certainly still a fun event to attend. Then came some more caching before the final event. The last event was a CITO which was also great fun. Then it was time to head home but not without two more finds, one of which was a FTF. I arrived home about 7:30pm after my great day out. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and events I attended for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s and TFTE’s.
Today’s Highlights:
27 Finds + 4 Events = 31 ’s
4 Events (CCE, CITO & 2x Regular)
Geocaching in Crookwell (First Time)
Finding two new D/T combos
An unexpected FTF
Avenging DNF’s
Getting the 2022 CITO Season #2 Souvenir
Now time to head off to Crookwell. Laighside Legends and myself stopped off here for a look. Unfortunately we both left with a DNF for this cache. I'll be back...

First of four days of caching around Goulburn, Yass valley and ACT. Weather still good, but a terrible forecast. Making good progress around Goulburn/Crookwell today.

#11395 - 3:39:00 PM; Set out on a cold but sunny morning with Sol de lune and Smittengranny on a caching mission north to Taralga then west to Laggan and Crookwell. Reached Crookwell and first stop was a busy cafe for lunch. Fed and watered we were on the trail around town collecting a few more caches before heading for home again south through Grabben Gullen where we made our final stop. All caches found were in good condition and logs were signed LL, Sdl and SG or SSL or similar. A short detour down this side road soon saw us with cache in hand. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC GLISS!
On this sunny cool Sunday morning I was out caching for the day with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n. Our main target were the caches along the roads through Taralga, Laggan, Crookwell to Gunning and home to Canberra again. We started this series here as it had been decided to get out of town a bit as we could grab the others at a later date.
We took it in turns to jump out and grab and sign the logs, though on occasions all three of us were out searching. Thanks for all the caches GLISS1 All logs were signed with some combination of LSS or some such thing.

A day out caching with Smittengranny and LuckyL10n up to Taralga, Crookwell and Gunning before heading home to Canberra. A great day for caching, even with the wind being a tad cool...
Lots of caches found today and this was our next one. No issues at all and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks for the history and showing us the area.....

What fabulous ruins and the old apple trees on the property are just loaded. Love the history and thank you for bringing me to this fascinating place. The cache was well hidden too with natural camo not making it a 'gimmee'! A favourite from me

Day 7 of a 7 day trip from Canberra to Bourke, to Narrabri, to Armidale and back to Canberra. The main goal (apart from having a break from working from home) is to collect counties, and see some of NSW I haven't been to before. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Just other weekend day trip out beautiful weather for a drive decide to grab some caches on the way... quick find log and placed where it belong.. TFTC GLISS
After three miserable weather weekends in a row, I had to get out and do some caching on this glorious day. A nice quick find, thanks GLISS.
#6408 22nd for today
The weather is not promising to be nice this week. So best to make the most of it before it set in. The plan was to grab the new Adventure Labs in Goulburn and Crookwell as well as any solved puzzles, virtuals etc. I was not too ambitious and it all went surprisingly well with only 2 DNFs. The weather, while not warm, held off for the most part. I think this is my 3rd visit to Crookwell and there's not much left to do after today. Most places were pretty quiet, being midweek, but still ran into a few locals.
This pub has seen better days.

Day out in Crookwell - Gunning. Found around 25 caches for the day. Most were quickly found, signed and replaced. Here to see the historic spots in the area. Thanks for all the caches.
Found quickly today on a very cold and foggy morning in Crookwell. Still very quiet here this morning. Cool little ruin here - always interesting! Thanks for the cache GLISS!
**Today:**
Caching with DSD today before heading to a couple of events.
After racing to Goulburn earlier than expected, and ditching other caching plans for 4 new caches in the area, we now had some more time up our sleeves and decided to cache on country roads whilst waiting for tonight's events to commence! Grabbed some caches along Woodhouselee Road on the way to Crookwell, then cleaned out the new caches in Crookwell, before heading back to Goulburn via Range Road and a few more caches!
---
**This Cache:**
Top spot for a cache! Probably one of my favourite locations today, given it is an old ruin! Very cool and my type of thing to come across
Thanks GLISS for highlighting this secret along this old country road!

Headed towards Crookwell, we stopped here to find this cache. My Garmin took ages to settle here (no idea why), so this took longer to find than it should have. Once the GPS eventually settled, the coordinates were spot on. Interesting old ruin. Cache and log are good. TFTC GLISS!
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Today was a day trip out to Crookwell to catch up with local cachers and country cachers for a meal and a chat. Thanks to Gliss for setting this up. Before and after I traveled via plenty of new caches along Sutton Road and out as far as Binda before returning home via Goulburn. It was a great day with one first to find and one DNFs. There was not much of the Inn left, just a bull on guard.
Thanks.

The rain had cleared and the sun was shining, so it made for a lovely day for a drive in the country. We were heading to Crookwell for the next country town event and decided to do a tour around and collect a few others along the way.

With us lazying around the house for school holidays, Dad dragged us along for a 2-day caching trip through the rural area of Goulburn and Gunning.
We had lots of fun exploring the area, seeing heaps of wildlife and farm animals and finding some caches.

As the kids (mini rats) were on school holidays I decide to take them for a country drive which involved some caching and an overnight bush camp out. We found plenty rural caches, seen heaps of cattle and sheep, the ocassional roadkill and some amazing countryside, oh and heaps of wind-turbines.
A big old bull kept an eye on us here
Thanks to all the CO's for contributing to the fun we had.

An easy find and an interesting old ruin. We saw a lot of old stone ruins in various states of decay. This was meant to be our point to start heading west further still and finish tonight in Boorowa, changed our mind, the heat beat us, we headed home.
We ended up doing just of 850kms to pickup as many of the new and more further afield caches that we could. Guess we will come back another time and grab the ones we did not get to. Gliss!, thank-you so much for all the time and research you have put in, you caches certainly added to our enjoyment for the weekend.

I decided to target Goulburn and surrounding Gliss caches today. This country side is lovely, been a cooler day is even better today.
A curious nice muggle farmer caught me out so I ended up explaining Geocaching to him. All good
I ended up taking lots of pictures here with a beautiful flowers on bloom.

Out in crookwell for a beautiful baptism. Grabbed this cache on the way back. Seeing the long grass decided to get out of the church clothes and into some caching clothes before sliding out of the car.
The many cache guardians were certainly impressed.

17,282. Found on a Christmas Eve loop around the region with minniek and the geokids.
To fill in the afternoon after 'Christmas Dinner' we all headed out for some regional caches. Sixth of eight caches found. An interesting location with history. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log (as minniek describes), replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks GLISS! !!
