Decided to stretch the legs in preparation for an upcoming trip to Mt Kosciuszko. A rough estimate of 4km return trip somehow blew out to 11km over 4 hours.
Started at the Coalcliff end of the Wodi Wodi Track and made our way up the Forest Walk Track. Stopped at the 'Train Spotting' lookout to cool down and catch our breaths. Followed the path along the escarpment and turned onto the Coalcliff Dam Firetrail. We continued onto Stanwell Dam after visiting Coalcliff Dam.
We stopped right on GZ to check the map. Nice easy find here!
Thanks For The Cache, Team MavEtJu

Find 570 for the tribe
Turned this one into a T4.0 by starting at the South End of the Wodi Wodi track and climbing the mountain to find this cache! Plenty of mud about today but miraculously no leeches on us today. Geokids had a ball walking up the 240m of elevation change but that may have had to do with the fun wading near the cache or the amount of sugar we consumed. Geokid ended up finding the cache. Cache and logbook are in great condition with plenty of room for future finders. Watch out for muggles on dirt bikes though, a few were out and about nearby today!
Photo is of a funky tree we found on our day out. Some spectacular views to be seen not far away from the cache.
Thanks for the cache Team MavEtJu! Cache is a great size so we have today released here our two Pony twin trackables twilight and sunshine out into the caching universe. Ride long, ponies!

On this beautiful sunny Sunday we went for a walk above Stanwell Park. The walking track was very nice with a lot of lookout. Interesting to see this old coal cliff on the way. Never been there before. The dam was almost a mirror.
At GZ it was a quick find.

A quick find in the first place we looked. The hint made it easy to find. Wished I had used the Bushman's cream that was in the cache container. Ended up with 5 leaches in my right shoe couldn't find any bite marks
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Team MavEtJu
The following TBs visited for the distance - Hawkesbury Tiger, 2011- 2021 NSW geocoins, Area 51 Tag, Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, Cache In Trash Out Tag, CITO Micro Geocoin, dirty Black Juke, Four Elements Geocoin, Mary Hyde's compass, Optical Illusion Geocoin, Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, Trackable Building Brick, Wales Flag, Wheel of Caching Geocoin

Came up here for the hike and the cache. Completely forgot about the cache until we started the walk back and just happened on it!

The last pick of my morning jog/walk. Moving on to here from Stanwell Dam on very wide service roads in the bush. It’s become quite windy, and looks like it may rain a little. The trails required and bit of a switch back, but eventually came upon......a dam? Well, perhaps it used to be. Once again, the hint helped very much here. Nice large container found, and completed task, and replaced. It’s been a big morning, and now a 4K jog back to the goemobile.

I had been meaning to get to this series of three caches for sometime but with the added bonus of an Adventure Lab to the south I tackled this one as a through walk with the eldest geokid today, with a pick up at the other end. This was the first after leaving the forest track and no issues- you would trip over it! TFTC!
It was not hidden when I found it. So I’ve made sure it’s properly covered now. I was not intending on caching so I didn’t have a pen. But as you can see from the photo I have found it. What a beautiful walk. Found with c0mpmatt
Thanks very much for the find - didn't have a pen unfortunately however have taken a photo. Lovely walk - found with Beckatoza.
Time to turn back, my legs are feeling the strain after laying around too much during the Covid 19 lockdown! Great spot here, so peaceful.
Doing a nice long walk today with the kids and thought we would pick up a couple on the way. Such a great spot for a break and a refuel. TFTCM
We enjoyed the walk to these three caches. Fairly flat which suited us seniors. TFTC and for the good directions to this series.
Out for a walk to clean out the last few caches in my thirty km radius. Saw a lot of birds.
Cheers

I've been looking for somewhere I can go out and do a longer walk and really get the exercise going. Even though I live fairly close, I have never been to this dam before. What an awesome spot! Thanks for bringing me here. Now I will head onto Stanwell dam before heading back to the car near boomerang golf course. TFTC
After having done the other Stanwell/Helensburgh caches a while ago, I left two as it was to hot to do long walks on that day. Before returning today I did another quick google earth search and decided to a different approach. Took the bike and went in from the princess Highway and this turned out to be an easy ride to both dam caches!

Headed for an afternoons caching in Helensburgh with some SES friends after seeing an influx of new caches appear over the past few months.
On what turned out to be a warm afternoon we grabbed all the quick ones around town before setting out sights on the multi and a few walks in the Stanwell Tops area.
Thanks for the cache.

Last one of the walk, from the second cache to the third is a nice easy stroll on a wide fire trail, took some photos, the water looked nice! Found the cache quite quickly once at GZ, picked up the shady as tb to move on into a cache I had in mind, there are still 2 more tbs in the cache, thanks for the adventure MavEtJu!

Arrived at the dam and took in the view whilst sitting on one of the concrete blocks (large stones).
Following on we headed towards where GZ was indicated but was aware of the coord error. We scratched around in a bit of an arc when Mrs A made the find. We did the signing.
While at the spot I did a waypoint average on my GPSr and got S34 14.011 E150 57.968.

As we got close to GZ we crossed paths with a runner and her dog coming from the other way. A few moments later, several more runners appeared before turning around at the dam and heading back the way they came. They were gone by the time we got to the cache though, which was well out of sight anyway. A nice spot that we've not visited for several years and a nice morning walk with Brewmaker, Pipes Down Under, and Delloro. Left a couple of trackables. TFTC!

Our last one for the morning and by now the heat had set in. There were some pleasant views to the ocean along the way and a cool breeze was blowing off the dam. We came across some runners out here! Not sure where they started from as they turned around. The dam did look inviting after our walk. We found the cache out by about 30m. The hint helped us narrow down the search. Try S.012 E.970.
After signing and dropping of some TBs, we made our way out, but not before finding a nice creek to take a group photo. An enjoyable morning out with The Hancock Clan (possibly our last one with MrH for awhile), Pipes_down_under & delloro. Somehow we ended up coming out through the conference centre! Thanks for this mini-trail. A great morning out with buddies. TFTC

Last cache of the morning and probably the last bush cache we'll get to do in Sydney with Mr Hancock for a bit.
A great little spot - thank goodness for the hint as the coordinates were 34m out by my device -see Brew's log for corrected ones.
A nice end to the morning's adventures.

Out with a geomates on an reasonably early morning before the heat of the day.
As mentioned, there are so many signs for Private property and no Trespassing so finding legitimate ways in was a challenge but the track to us to a place I had never been to before.
Although each of our GPS's showed a significant error for GZ, it was quickly found by delorro and we sat while waiting for HC and brew to change direction.
Sad to think this will be the last geotrek with The Hancock Clan for a while.

In the area and about to place another cache, when this series popped up, 40deg day, and no water, meant for a struggle through the 3.
This was the first, and went off the hint rather than the coords.
Cheers
