Logs
The GPS was wandering more than we were here. To a while but spotted while walking uphill
Visiting from Sydney found with annabella02 sassieold55 and muggle friend. TFTC.
Continuing on our nice afternoon out with Dazzpete down this way, and we stopped off here for a look.Dad and Pete wandered down to this one, and it was eventually found after only a small amount of wandering around. After the all important signing of the log , we took off ina cloud of dust to get some more clues for the final.
Today we headed out from Winchelsea to do our second day on the GOR. We made our way down through Wensleydale and picked up a few trads in tiny little none weatherproof pots. Nice little series. Then on to Anglesea which seemed to be very hipster/surfer vibes and we enjoyed a nice walk around The Wetlands, more caches and ate our packed lunch at one of the murals. Onwards to Aireys Inlet to visit the lighthouse and more caching. Lorne was our last stop on GOC seemed to be a bit more exy here and lots of posh Melbs people here . Back to Winchelsea via Erskine Falls, surprised no cache there and via Bambra area to collect some super cool woodland caches. Ran out of time to do everything we wanted but you can never get them all .Thanks to all the CO for some really great hides and especially to Bushfire we were sad to read of ill health.I was a bit worried about snakes here but was able to find and sign without any problem TFTC
The coords are about 10m off, you dont need to search in the blackberries where other cachers have been. Look around and follow your instincts for the best location. TFTC

*Cache find # 14843.*
Today I headed out to the Otway Forest Park and Paddy's Swamp area for a bit of a tour around on my bike and finding caches as I went.
After getting organised at Tanners Camp Ground, I then headed out on the bike and started making my way towards Paddy's Swamp, trying to knock off a few from this Bambra series.
**Thanks to The_Tritonz for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

Day out caching with sassieold55, relieved the roads around here are not to bad. TFTC

Gee you guys are good! I haven't had the chance to tell you my version of the DNF, and you've already disabled it. Go you good things!
Thanks heaps, Tritonz!

Found the obvious spot bang on according to coordinates but nothing there. May have been mugged. Did a good search all around but nothing
Seems this one has disappeared so we will disable until we get a chance to replace.
Donutholes asked me if I would like to go caching tonight. The weather at the time was wet, wild and wintry, but the answer is pretty much always yes; who cares about the weather.
We had planned to cache this area a month or so back but were sidetracked by a possible FTF in Melbourne, and today was the day we chose to cache this area.
The Bambra Series was the main target for the night. It had turned out to be a pretty clear night with an almost full moon. However, we did drive through some very thick fog and had to keep an eye out for kangaroos. No kangaroos were harmed in the finding of these caches.
The area is way too wet to burn, but if it were to do so this would be a spot for Elvis to fill up.
The cache is in excellent condition.
Thank you for this cache The_Tritonz.

Out and about with Dromaniax on this chilly Sunday night!! We decided this afternoon that we would go on an adventure to collect a handful of smiley faces and this series is on the list!!
Nice a quick find here!! Not a muggle in sight.... Only kangaroos. I think it's snowing!!!

Find number 300 for me! The gps was a little off but I found my way to the cache…through the hardest way you can possibly imagine. But, it wasn’t long before the cache was spotted and it was signed. The way back to the car was much easier thanks to the well worn geotrail. TFTC
Had to skip this one yesterday as some muggles stopped here for a picnic. Back today to claim the and clue to the final. TFTC
We had our first bit of traffic at this point - a single car putting along. A quick find at this location and good to see some water stocked up for the summer. TFTC
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

This was one of my first finds in the series here.
It was a fairly quick find.
I signed the log and was soon on my way.

Loving this part of the world! Beautiful spot would not have seen if weren’t for caching. Another great location in this series. Tftc
TFTC. Another lovely spot. Also wondering if the post office and the school and the church all opened in 1860s, did the Hare Krishnas open then as well?

Das Döschen im klassischen Versteck konnte ich rasch enttarnen und mich ungestört in das Logbuch eintragen.

Not the best of places to be hunting caches on such a wet day but found it after a bit of a search

The dam is full, pobblebonk heaven! Acutely aware that it is September already, we watched very carefully where we stepped as wriggle sticks may have awoken from their long, cold night.
Another cool hide with perfect coords. Thanks for the joy!

We grabbed this one before heading back to Old Telegraph Rd. It was and easy find and fortunately its hidey-hole kept the cache nice and dry which was in stark contrast to the surrounds.

Having a good day whilst in the area, fortunately the rain has been holding off giving us time to enjoy picking up some caches. Nice easy find and a good spot for a cache.

Beautiful sunny autumn day in the Otways. Easy find in a lovely bush setting.
Leish and Cav.

Been away and catching up, whenever I can, with late logs now that Tag along and I are back.
Out with sorceysal on a cool and showery day in the Otways.
The road was slippery now and glad to reach this point only to find a huge roo staring at me. Stood still and waited. Don't really trust them especially if the rest of the mob is arouns. Once clear all was good. Headed home after this find.

My plan for the day was to find multi caches then head elsewhere, once I realised the effort to get here in a low vehicle I decided to work through the series.
The area was starting to look familiar and the roads easier to travel. Once at GZ the cache was quickly located.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the Bambra series The_Tritonz

A rare Tuesday of caching with 6hinemoa2 to complete a few along the way and the Bambra series. We really enjoyed this lovely area but as usual in the Otways is was raining and this made for some difficult finds. A big kangaroo was waiting for us near gz so we waited for him to take off before making the find.
BFMC put out a call for some company and was planning a first to find hunt much further afield than Banbra but when the cache was found the plans changed. I had also been held up in Melbourne not getting home till very late too allowing Neville_devil to join us finishing up his normal Friday night activities. By the time we got going the Bambra series was chosen as out destination and one last journey in my car before it was returned next week.
We were getting good at spotting hides around here even in the dark.
Thank you The_Tritonz for getting us out tonight

Cache Log: this one was pretty straight forward, even in the dark. The weather gods are seemingly messing with our satellites tonight, as we are constantly 7-8m out. The beauty of this series is that once you’re within 15m of GZ your geosenses will guide you to the cache every time. Rarely did we need a perfect lock on GZ.
Trip log: Our plans to head down to the western districts for a FTF got scuttled when it was found earlier in the day, so sims_family, neville_devil and myself decided to venture out anyway and with a batch of recent caches around here that none of us had found, this was the chosen location. Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable series, doing it in the dark was even more fun.

Hot summer's day with a northerly blowing, but fortunately no fire alerts today. Always have my Vic emergency app to give me a heads up. Quick find. TFTC
There are plenty of reminders in this forest that fire is the enemy and defences have been set up to spot and quell it.
Walked through the longish grass to this one.
cheers

Fire !! Where ??
None seen or smelt today
I know that there will be somebody sitting in the eyrie just up the road keeping a lookout for any though
Cache soon spotted,
and the logbook doused with me moniker [^]

I guess I have traveled the length of Retreat Valley Rd, and arrived here where the same car was parked a couple of days ago, it is probably the fire tower watcher who would be employed for the summer.
Very quiet otherwise down this way today.
Thanks Tritonz for the placement.

Amidst the myriad of summer sporting scores, relating to games, sets, innings, wickets, runs etc etc, it was interesting to post a 19/1/19 for the caches we visited in the very good company of Alansee, au.fait and Muzza today - a great team!
This is one place we would not want to be on a day of high fire danger!
Thanks to 'The_Tritonz' for a very interesting and varied series.

After the first event in Colac I teamed up with Phetlern, Alansee and au.fait for the rest of the day's caching, in and around the area. This was another nice quick and easy find.
My thanks to The_Tritonz for the cache.

I had such a great dam time here today, that I decided to make it my last for the afternoon (I may try for more in the evening). Either that or I spied somebody in the fire tower, that well and truely muggles me out. Thanks so much for placing this great series of caches The_Tritonz, but please remember, clothes at all times!
Another lovely day in the Otways collecting caches as I enjoy being in the bush. A lovely area that appears to be underused by tourists TFTC The Tritonz
I love driving around these plantation areas. Not sure why, I just love the solitude and pure greenery. Roads are always windy and undulating.
Some locals checked that I was Ok here. All good - found the cache!

Found It....Joint FTF.....While Mr H_3 was finishing up work the notifications came in and Mrs H_3 put the call in to hurry him up. So a quick pack up at work then a flying trip home to pick up the other team member and we where off. Driving down the street it was noticed that the Geo Ute aka the work ute was in need of fuel to enable our return trip so a F1 style pit stop was made and we were back on the road (still struggling with road works). After bumping into Suscoe we teamed up to get the remainder of caches in the area, After walking to GZ we soon had the container in hand so with the blank log sheet filled with our names we continued onto the next one. Thanks The_Tritonz for the cache
JOINT FIRST TO FIND SUSCOE AND H_3
Suscoe headed out down Bambra way this afternoon as soon as the car could be packed for the trip after the notification arrived.
A pleasant trip with light traffic was had and soon Suscoe met up with H_3 on the road through the bushland where these caches had been published.
It was an unexpected surprise to find H_3 here and it was great to wander these roads with them to collect some caches on a pleasant Tuesday later afternoon.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for this cache.
Glad the day was cool, with a low fire danger. But things seem like they will heat up this weekend, hope the local CFA folks have a quiet weekend and summer.
