Wow, this one took me a while, i have been finding easy ones and this one bought me back to earth. I was just about to give up when i spotted the lil trickster. I have headed off for a day and a half or so, planning to cache from Maldon, over to Red Bank then wending my way towards Creswick. i will hopefully be tidying up a few stragglers on my map, exploring more GCA caches and visiting at least a couple of new areas. St John the Baptist - Waubra is find number 4,070 for me. A fun micro sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Pyrenees Shire. I am logging this one on Tuesday 24 Sept 2024 at 2:11 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 21C 47% 5 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy GemmaSistema.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Like others before me, I knew what I was looking for and it still took a few laps before I had it in my hand. Signed and returned as found.
Like others it took a little bit to find! But found it we did and log signed!! TFTC!
We came this far just to add a new LGA, as you do. It took a bit of looking until the toolman spotted it. A nice little church. Thanks GemmaSistemaI spent the Australia Day long weekend in and around Ballarat with 1TOOLMAN and stainless steel rat to do the geotour. We found them all plus most other caches from our short list of around 70 caches.
This was added to the day as it was just over the line and in another LGASometime ago myself and gooseandegg had looked at the idea of doing one of the GeoTours in Australia but due to finders losing the attributes and maybe even the souvenir I wasn't about to go out of my way to search out a GeoTour, upon hearing that finders would retain the attributes and souvenir for the Ballarat GeoTour this changed things and plans were made to head specially to the Ballarat area.We flew out of Hobart on Thursday night after work and after a night staying near the airport we were picked up early by honorary Tasmanian 1Toolman, we spent the next two days searching out all the GeoTour and some choice old or special geocache in and around Ballarat, on Sunday morning we just had time to call at GemmaSistemas event out at Miners Rest before turning tail and dashing for the airport to get on my first ever Rex flight back to Hobart, even landing early at 1307.Found on 27/01/2024 at 12:36:00 thanks to GemmaSistema for placing this cache for me to find. Tftc, took us ten minutes and only a digital log today because we were to short to reach it.
On a caching trip with Sol de Lune today. We had successfully collected all the caches on our list so on the way home Sol De Lune stopped at a few caches that I had yet to find.Ive wanted to stop at this cache for sometime but just never had the chance. I figured it would be a quick find and maybe it is supposed to be it certainly wasnt for me today. I looked around for a good while before finally it was spotted. The log was full but luckily Sol de Lune had some spare paper so we have swapped it out for you. Thanks for the cache here
All that glitters is gold.. but log needs replacing... This church not for sale but there is one in town. Lots of churches in small area all competing for your soul. Tftc
All that glitters is a bison because there were no flowers blooming today. The log is full
The white paint really highlights this church although the one near the war memorial is blue stone - much nicer exterior in our opinion. TFTC

Out for a country drive today with the added bonus of picking up a few caches along the way.
Thanks GemmaSistema a quick find here.
Log sheet very full.

After a wonderful event in Creswick today, Dromaniax and I decided to head to head out to Mount Beckworth in his new Geo Skoda, and sign a few Challenge caches. Then pick up a few more on the way home. The weather held out well for us, and we found a couple of handfuls of caches we looked for.
Coming back from Beckworth so a quick stop off in Waubra. Caches found and logged.
Thank you for this cache GemmaSistema

This was a trickier cache than we expected, but persistence paid off, and we found the cache safe and sound, although it is in need of a new log.

First find in a while! Was worried a bison after a geo-hiatus would knock my confidence but it was a quick find. Lovely little spot off the highway, I imagine GZ would look stunning in bloom! TFTC!
Next stop on my run along the highway. Took a few minutes to spot the cache and then (like the previous finder) it seemed to disappear when I went to grab it. Amazing how it looked closed by then so far away. Once it was in hand, the log was signed and then it was back to the car and down the road to the next one.
Thanks again GemmaSistema...
Thanks again GemmaSistema...
I spotted the cache and moved in closer to grab it and it disappeared I just couldn’t see it. Stepped back and it reappeared. This was playing tricks on me. Finally got it

Found with Sorceysal on a cool Sunday arvo. This was another quick find. Thanks again Gemma
Out on a chilly Sunday with bogonghazy to grab a few caches between Creswick and Talbot. Still heading home and of course, just one more. Quickly spotted but as BH has longer arms, he signed the log. Thanks Gemma
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz TFTC GemmaSistema
As the end of the day was drawing near, we started to head back towards Ballarat where we were staying the night. We took a break to look for this cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GemmaSistema for the cache.
Find #2765 for me. Found at 8:30 am with my dog Bonnie, while on our way to the event and CITO in Smythesdale. OK, I made the mistake of not reading the cache description before arriving, since when I got here it was clear that Sunday mass was taking place inside the church. However with the church-goers inside the building and knowing that I probably wouldn't be passing this way again for quite some time, I thought I'd give it a quick go. Good coordinates helped, but the sneaky cache still took me a while to find even though I knew what I was looking for. Once found, I quickly signed the log and replaced the cache, but as I was leaving, a church-goer who had just arrived late noticed me taking my standard selfie in front of the church and was curious. He was very polite, but I knew that what he saw would have looked strange, so to alleviate any suspicion and concern, I told him what I was doing there and even showed him the cache. I hope that doesn't cause any issues! Thanks for the fun and the cache Gemma!
Our first cache of the day, a bit of warm up on the way to the Pyrenees. Turned out harder than we expected. TFTC
Took a few minutes to spot this one.
Signed and replaced.

We are going to the events in Ballarat tomorrow for all the 2's and thought that we would get a head start and head up the night before rather than have a very early start in the morning.
We were having a good run and thought that we would go out to Ampitheatre and grab the lab caches out there and anything else that popped up.
We have to agree with the CO here, it is a magnificent looking church and for it's age it's outstanding condition. It must have been quite a bustling little town in it's day to have so many churches, obviously time changes lots of things. At least one is still used for it's original purpose.
Happily it wasn't a Sunday and we had the entire area to ourselves which was good as it took us a couple of minutes to locate the hide and like most of these types of hides, once you see it you can't unsee it.
Thanks again GemmaSistema for the cache.

With Christmas done and over, it was time to take another drive out this way at a more leisurely pace. It a little while to spot this one, not the colour I was expecting. Cigc. Tftc

Magnificent church, built to last.
Found it after looking for a while.

Years ago, when my hubby and I first started dating, we would drive past this church on our back roads way to visit each other. TFTC Gemmasistema
25 May 2021,unfortunately the plant isn't flowering at the moment...or fortunately, as it would be a bit trickier if it was . Thanks for bringing me this lovely church
Travelled out to Avoca to join in the celebration events and explore an area I’ve not been to before.
Took a moment to discover this one but soon had it in hand. The log was signed and returned.
Thanks GemmaSistema for the cache.

This one took me a while but with the help of Glanville Girls was able to log it.
Took a while!!! The hint helped - not exactly hanging. Spent too long longing on the wrong tree and looking at the outer limbs
A huge, 4 day geocaching trip for Rex and I!
On Friday, we headed for Ballarat as there was 3 events being held there on the Saturday[^]
One of them was the Ballarat Geo Tour - Event #3 and I wanted to do the geotour, so this weekend seemed like a good place to start![^] We cached all night Friday[|)][|)][^] and completed the geo tour by the end of Saturday[^][^][|)][xx(][|)][xx(] Had the pleasure of meeting, and caching with, echocage too[^]
I also had a long term goal to complete and that was to finally sign the log in the Country Road Atlas challenge as I only had to pick up a few more pages on this trip and then I would be qualified to place a found log on it[^]
So it was from Ballarat to Belgrave Heights' Birdsland Reserve for ahomburg's The Five Oh Event, where the lovely nirgalagrin[:X] spent time wandering slowly from cache to cache with Rex and I after most people had left the party[^][:X]
Next stop was Healesville where Rex and I woke up to the following day in a gorgeous park filled with stunning colours[^][^] Eventually we made our way back to Shepparton[|)][^][|)][^]
4 events attended, 61 geocaches found, hundreds of kilometers travelled[^] and some amazing sights seen[^][^][^]
My thanks to all of the COs and Event hosts[^][^] who made this such a fantastic[^] and memorable trip[^][:X] by leading us to fantastic places[^][^]
I love old churches and other old buildings[:X][^]

Find No. 3128. Found at 4.46pm.
On our way home from Ballarat after a Medical appointment, we had planned to find some close by caches along the way.
Parked in the church yard for walk around to stretch our legs and of course to locate a cache nearby. After looking around a bit we finally found it. Log signed and now time to contiue on.

Ack. The dreaded hanging bison! Luck was on my side today as the sunlight was shining on the bison and made it easy to spot today. Thanks for placing.
A little gem tucked away behind the trees here. No problems here at all on this perfect day.

Found with shellabelle 8991, on the way home after travelling this way for an FTF on a cache up the road. It was getting dark now, so this would be the last one. Shellabelle spotted it before too long. Lovely old church. TFTC GemmaSistema.
Found on New Years Day, with n0w0rries. It took a few minutes to spot this one but eventually made the find. A beautiful little church. It's a shame our architects don't put any effort into the design of modern buildings. TFTC GemmaSistema.
As we made our way across the western districts of Victoria, we encountered the ant highways. After careful consideration, John The Baptist was discovered. A quaint little church here. Thanks for the New Year's Day invite.
