I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.

Hi antznzThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler

Gorgeous view from here as we approached. Didn't take too long to find.

Pretty obvious on approach where the cache would be haha. Nevertheless, thanks for bringing me here to this little unfound gem of a reserve. Excellent views all round. TFTC

Okay, on my second time around looking for it, I found it. It is in such an obvious place, but took me ages to find it.

24-Mar-19
Where is it? There's only one sign that says keep off and we couldn't find it anywhere. Will look again at some point.

22-Feb-19
This would be a great spot to just sit - except for the first time in ages its been raining and is a rather damp spot. Beautiful little park looking out towards Beachlands.

What a beautiful neighbourhood. Thanks for showing me this place. Quick and easy find. TFTC

15-Feb-19
Nice easy find great views TFTC

09-Feb-19
I had a really nice view from here. including the island that has a cache on it just off Beachlands. Once I got back to Geocaching, I found the cache quickly. TFTC.

Hi antznz,
Cachers really appreciate having parking and other waypoints. The waypoints you have on the web page have the same coords as the cache. I think you meant to have the parking coords at something around S36 53.722 E174 56.990 and the reserve near S36 53.730 E174 57.010. Maybe you could update your cache page so the next person can use these.

Thanks so much antznz for placing your first cache here...
It is a great spot....
Beautiful views...So peaceful...lovely birdsong.
A great view can be had of Motukaraka Island ...I can see the sort of sand bar causeway now where you can walk out to it at low tide which is now...There used to be a cache there years ago!
Also lovely patterns on the sand...
Cheers!

What a gorgeous spot! Absolutely loved the stunning views (and the weather was cooperating for that today, too!). Had some locals nearby with their dogs who were extremely friendly. They let us be as we had a rest and enjoyed the view. Sometimes you get lucky and you reach for a cache and it's in the first spot your hand goes. Today was one of those days. Thanks for bringing us to this hidden gem. FP for that.

20-Jan-19
Lovely views from here! Thanks for taking us to this spot. The people in the big brown house that faces this reserve had their dogs out, and little Billy wanted to go with us when we left haha. They might've thought it was a bit strange that we didn't stay very long. Oh well. Cache is in good condition. that would be us for the day. 8 caches in about an hour, that's pretty good since we really only needed one to keep our streak going. Tftc Smile

Was out with some caching buddies at cockle bay beach. So thought it would be rude not to get this one on my way home.

Quick find but pen not working well. Tried to scribble my name.

I would love to have one of the homes on the the left. Awesome views.

Happy post Christmas and eve eve eve of the New Year! Today I thought I would take the opportunity to fill in a couple of day dots in my ‘finds by hidden date’ grid. That is how I came to specifically target this cache. I am also currently trying to maintain a current geo-streak which is turning out to be quite the challenge! So after parking as close as I could I made my way to GZ on foot. Interestingly, once I was there I was ambushed by five small dogs whose owners were sitting at GZ. Thankfully they were just leaving and so they wandered off with their wines and their dogs. Once the coast was clear I made a nice quick find. The log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next hunter. So thank you antnz for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. A favourite point from me... not for the cache but for this amazing little spot! Nice!

29-Dec-18
So obvious that we that it took us a while to find...very well done!

26-Dec-18
Boxing day caching with TheMexikiwi after a festive evening with friends out this way the night before. Decided to made the most of being out here to grab some caches on the way back for good measure.

Imagine on a nice day the view would be pretty awesome, however today it was all about the cache and we made the find after a quick find in the obvious spot.

Nice spot - TFTC

The {FTF} Carol (to the tune of Jingle Bells)

Verse 1:
Heard the alarm go off, a new cache out today.
What was its locale, just in Cockle Bay.
Jumped into the car, with LordCacher 0 8,
We sped off to go in search for a new trad out today.

Chorus:
F.T.F., F.T.F., caching all the way.
Oh what fun it is to cache,
On a lovely summer’s day.
Hey!
F.T.F., F.T.F., caching all the way.
Oh what fun it is to cache,
On a lovely summer’s day.

Verse 2:
We parked up near GZ, the CO’s house we passed.
Jumped out of the car, and headed for the grass.
The hide was way too easy, no hint did we apply,
The cache was soon in our hands, and the log was signed.

Cache #548

We saw this one pop up but weren't able to try for the first to find so decided to pop over and look for it tonight followed by a walk along Cockle Bay.
We parked nearby and as we walked into the reserve heard voices nearby which turned out to be a dinner party at the neighbours who overlook GZ where a large group of muggles were sitting at their outdoor table.
We almost decided to come back another time but thought we might as well give it a try and test out stealth.
After commenting about the lovely view we sat down pretending to admire it while making sporadic casual movements to search for the cache in quick bursts.
We soon had the cache in hand and were able to sign it with no trouble as we had our backs to the group. We also signed for Cacheventures who we see had forgotten their pen earlier in the day.
It was then a quick replace with a fake tie of the shoelace before heading back to the car.
A glance at the group as we left confirmed they were none the wiser and enjoying their food and conversation too much to pay us any attention.
Thanks antznz for a nice hide in a beautiful spot.

Wow! What a lovely place to get a STF! Cacheventures 3rd STF here today at 5.30pm at this lovely place! I was looking on my iPad again for Geocaching notifications and there appeared to be a new cache published very close! Usually we just ignore them as we don’t think we can make it but this time we went off to find it!

We saw two dogs and some ladies around while looking for the cache. Well done!

Such a beautiful place! At least we live in the area so we could get the STF! xD

TFTC!

(We didn’t have pen so Cachewnut will upload photo to show proof of being here)
