Reperio 08:00Day 4 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Batemans Bay to Eden. The biggest factor of our travels today was the wind. Often blowing so hard it was a challenge to both get the log signed and hang onto zip lock bags. The journey along the coast was fantastic. With rain threatening to arrive early the next day, we aimed to get as much done as we could, and so concentrated our effort on ticking off the caches along Bengello Beach. Found most of the caches we searched for, so it was a great day out.Gratias YoubanAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
The wind died down overnight and we woke to a beautiful sunny morning with the barest of a breeze. So it was onto the bikes and out to the Bengello trail to see how far we could get. We ended up making it to the entrance at Moruya Beach with plenty of finds and a couple of DNFs. Coordinates were generally very good, and the hides well set up and in good condition. Towards the end there were some really interesting containers which we appreciated.Riding the trail was not as easy as well-formed pathways but the bush very interesting, broken up by the occasional excursion over to the beach. We made it back to camp by lunch time, both a bit worn by the ride and the rough countryside we at times had to cover to get to GZ. In the later afternoon we headed out again to find a couple of other caches close to camp.A great series we enjoyed, so we will be back in the next few days to work on those remaining.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Youban.**SKI Pair****
Accompanied by ALL7, Nice weather was partly cloudy with little showers, then a little while later, it became fully sunny, we travelled to Broulee to run a series of heaps of caches. Some drove, some walked, and some biked. Some **(WOW)** excellent ones are interesting, look at clever ones on the drifferent types of caches in different ways. Love it. Signed the log by the stamp of us. TFTC

Staying at Broulee Caravan park, and today we got the bikes down after a long period of not being able to ride. A cool but sunny day doing the Bengello walk.Total Caches Found 16294TFTC Youban
6th 6The plan was to have another look on the return journey but we detoured on to the beach and therefore ran out of time to stop and look again. This DNF definitely should not imply it's not there.
Out for a days caching with steeba and Hoojar. We had a lovely day on the south coast. This was one of many we found throughout the day.TFTC
Out for a day of caching on the South Coast with Steeba and The Rats, aiming for a few series and finishing with the 20th Anniversary Earthcache Event.Hot day for a walk, bet we will be wishing for a sea breeze by the end. Let's see howany of this series we can knock over.Cheers
Headed down the coast for a day mainly to celebrate the Wasp Head event with The Rats and Hoojar but found plenty of caches along the way for a nice day out.TFTC!
We were at the pathway, and we tried to search in the bush, but there was no luck. We found two rocks looked under them, but there was nothing. sorry, again geocaching app
A day out caching with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
Out again today with LittleBoss2 to knock off as many of these as we can. These are new containers to us. Thanks again Youban
A day of walking along the tracks between Broulee and North Moruya Heads for a whole bunch of caches. Pleasant walk through the forest and only light bush to have to walk through, some really good cool caches in this area. TFTC.
Caching down the South Coast and district for a few days. TFTC.
I was worried about all the needle grass after getting an eye pole. No prob. Quick find.

A couple of days at the coast.
Cool, but beautiful and sunny; definitely warmer than Canberra.
We made our way down yesterday, stopping along the way for a few adventures and a couple of caches, a pie in Braidwood for lunch then we set up camp in Tomakin for 3 nights.
An awesome place to stay, and right by the river, we have a spectacular sunset (see photos).
Today we tackled this awesome series.
For many years, we used to stay at Mossy Point in the summer and run/ride this beautiful trail. We would make our way to the airport and watch the “cigar” plane take off or land.
Today, we also watched a skydiving plane take off and then paused on our walk to watch the parachutes, skydivers land.
In later years, quite spontaneously, our son flew us in a small 4 seater plane to the Moruya airport, and we picked up a FTF (unexpectedly), just 50 metres from the airport!
Today we were on foot, and it was a long walk.
About this series. It is beautiful and awesome forest/beach trail.
The care in creating the hides is lovely; none of the hides are “hidden”. All out in the open but invisible unless you are truly looking. Most were quick finds, however 2 or 3 took us somewhat longer.
Our name is in the log for all.
We say a big thank you to Youban for this awesome series.
Now onto the bonus final…

Catching up with some very late logs. This was found while staying in the area and grabbing just a few for the day, while out on our bikes.
This was a quick find, in a nice park to enjoy our ride for the day. Full of ants.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

This was very hard to find there were a lot of ants when we filled it out. Overall it was a beautiful scenery
Today we walked with the geopooch along half of this Bengello track and back along the beach to the car. Started out a bit prickly caching, but got better along the way which made finding more comfortable, and dodging the spider webs. This track is quite a busy one for walkers and bike riders. This one was very prickly to search for and find. TFTC
Visiting Moruya with Aramil_au, for the geocaching. Hoping to find lots of them, so sorry for the generic log. Lovely town. Thanks for the cache.

Got me intrigued now. Will have to come back and do some more. When it is not raining
I decided I needed another solo geocaching holiday to detox before uni so I thought the Bengello caches (the Bengello Walk and all the other nearby series') were a great excuse for holidaying at Broulee! Bengello is a stunning area, with a great mix of lovely vegetation and awesome ocean views. The weather was hot today but super blue and lovely, and (for the most part) pretty shady! Started walking at 7am (I didn't get a good sleep) from my accommodation and got back at 3:30pm, with 55 caches to boot. Great to spend Valentine's Day spending time around my true love, geocaching!
The caches in the Bengello Walk series were all found within a couple of minutes each, some instantaneously but some after a bit longer (but that's all about luck, I reckon finding speed would be variable for many people). Unfortunately a vast majority of the logs are quite wet, some unusable, so maintenance is required. I noticed that caches with clues for the bonus tended to be more wet than caches without the bonus (if you've found you the series you'll understand this difference). Speaking of clues, I forgot to look for clues in the first seven caches so before I go back to Canberra in a couple of days I'll need to revisit the area to grab the numbers and the bonus, plus attempt two DNFs within very close walking distance. A lovely series with some funky containers. TFTC Youban!

Spiky grass is not my friend. Lucky CorvettePete got his hand on this one pretty quick. Tftc
With ACT residents no being able to travel to an area around the capital including the coast, it was time to plan a trip. There was a good sized group where we were going to base in Moruya for three days. I traveled with Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny. Others were Cosmonaut97, Kitty Katch, Joolay, Barb2e, fitzy_1965 & MinnieK. Most logs were signed Kapital Krunchers. We had a great weekend of lots of caching in fantastic weather. Day two was more caches around Moruya, we were joined by My Windy who was also holidaying on the coast. We started with south of the river with a walk and then down to the heads for the low tide caches. After lunch it was North of the heads and surprisingly there was enough time to finish the Bengello walk and the airport caches.
After walking from Pendragon to the coast track for a third time, we worked out way south back to the airport for these remaining walk caches. One DNF along the way.
Thanks for the cache Youban

A weekend down the coast for our group from Canberra and this was now day 2. Most logs were signed as Capital Crunchers....
Having left the main group for a while, Smittengranny, Albida and I set out to finish this walk and series. Found all but one of the caches. A neat walk that wasn't too taxing at almost the end of our day....and it was great to finish the series.
Thanks for another Youban....

A great group of cachers from Canberra known as the Capital Crunchers have come down to this area for a long weekend of fun and caching. This is Day 2 and we have been blessed with the weather and the multitude of incredible caches .
Sol de Lune, Albida and i have left the main group and are attacking this trail as the group has completed the list of caches that we were targeting today.
Wow now I understand a conversation that I had earlier with dty73.
Thanks for this trail . SL

Find Number 2273 found at 12:12. Today we found 15 caches and had 2 DNFs. This was the 10th find today
The weather forecast was good so Tony decided to head down to Moruya try to complete the Bengello
Walk series. Any other cache would be a bonus.
I searched here for quite a while earlier. This time I walked right up to it. Series is now complete, but I'm missing a couple of numbers. hopefully I can make an inspired guess.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log (sometimes we sign micro logs with G&T or GT) and replaced the container as found
Thanks Youban for the cache and for the whole series. Great fun, even if a bit too far for these old legs to do in one hit. Well worth a favourite point for the series.

Should have trusted the gpsr from the start. The hint soon had me on the right track. Bit of an ants nest happening in this one. Tftc
I really enjoyed this trail. This walk was on my to do list while in the area for a few days. I got a bit lucky with a few rain free hours which let me get to #14 before having to turn back. Great series and clever once I figured out what I was looking for. TFTC.

Ride or walk - we chose the first option and enjoyed one of the best geo trails we have experienced. Cleverly constructed, well hidden caches with clear mystery numbers kept our focus. We were asked a couple of times by passing muggles if we were OK!!
Thanks Youban for creating this excellent trail.

I had completed some of this trail about a year ago so I knew what to look for. The grass is so spikey here but luckily no ants. However cache took awhile to find but spotted it in the end. TFTC Youban!
In the area for a few days away pre Christmas, any excuse to geocache really. Took the bike and the geodog and peddled from Tomakin to the numerical start of the trail.
I usually hate micro caches but this trail was fantastic. The creativity of the containers was excellent, coords were great and caches were easy to find when you knew what to look for but well hidden if you weren’t looking.
The clues for the mystery cache were easy to find even if you weren’t looking.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to log the mystery today as it’s closer to the Moruya Heads end. Geodog was running out of steam and I didn’t want to make her do another 6-8km (it was already an 18km return trip).
This is easily the best series I’ve done. Well done Youban.

Went out and dropped a bit of ant sand in the area. Hope this keeps the bugs at bay. Happy caching
It was a stellar day so decided to do a walk and pick up a few caches along the way. 1 turned into 23 caches a few hours later Thanks for the caches Youban!
