An easy find on a warm and stormy Monday afternoon.Flies are a bit of a killer, and the humidity is making it a little bit uncomfortable My phone was taking me in one direction but my Spidey sense told me somewhere else Spidey sense went out TFTC and for bringing me into such a lovely natural environment
Going for a hike I got the perfect weather, slightly cloudy and perfect temperature. I made the wallowa and the stringybark hike and enjoyed so much nature. I got the chance to see, and more hear, a lot of birds, some rabbits and, very special for me, wild kangaroos. This was a nice and easy find. Thank you very much for showing me this nice place.Cache in good condition.TFTCHbste
I wanted to do some bird watching in Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park and pick up a few caches along the way. On the bird front, scarlet robins, eastern spinebills, western whistlers, little ravens, white fronted tree creepers, yellow faced honeyeaters and new holland honey eaters featured. On the cache front, eight caches were sought (including this one) and eight were found (including this one). On the way home, being in the area, a platter and glass of shiraz was had at Grant Burge Wines. Glorious weather for the Kings Birthday. TFTC
More big rocks along the Granite Track. Lots of fun. Out for a stroll with mate Harry. Finished the journey at the pub in Tanunda with beer and chips. Thanks for the cache, JDHZ
Beautiful tranquil place amongst the granite rocks. Found with brendan_jones. TFTC
Just off the walking track. I wandered too far away initially. Rock seat conviently place here for signing log.
Thanks JDHZ for placing this cache here

We found this one a bit quicker than the previous cache, while enjoying our hike from Pewsey Vale to Tanunda along the Heysen trail. Definitely need to come back to this region and explore a bit more. TFTC
Today myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out once again for a Wednesday Wander. [^] We headed up to the Barossa Valley where we wandered about doing some labs and others caches we were passing before heading off to the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park for a long, long walk! The Rat chalked up find number 10,000 during our travels.
Has it really been six months since we were last here and hard a DNF? Back again to rectify that DNF and then do some more walking in other sections this little stroll in from the parking coords was to warm up and stretch the legs a bit! [^] Arriving at GZ the cache is exactly where we thought it should have been last visit. I rescued the TB to move on.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks JDHZ for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

2nd attempt after a previous DNF. This time it was exactly where we had previously looked. Thanks for replacing it and Thank you for the placement of the Hard Rock Cache cache JDHZ find number 7827 at 12 May 2021 10:26 am
A Starfish, a Rat and an Adder, met at Lyndoch for a day of celebration and caching.
We had coffee and Cake to celebrate the Starfish's Birthday.
Then it was off to start the caching adventure, and get the Rat to 10,000 finds.
This was the first targeted cache of the day.
We parked the geomobile and took a stroll to GZ.
A quick find and DNF off the list, Yay. Tftc

A nice walk along the trail to this cache, the cache was easily found upon arrival thanks to good co ords
Today I decided to head to Kaiserstuhl Conservation Reserve for a walk around and collect a few caches. Besides finding a few caches on my way there and back home a nice walk around the reserve and roughly 9km walked up and down hills. Although the area isn’t recommended in Summer the weather held off and a nice day out with 33 finds in total.
Thanks for the cache

Nothing in our original hiding spot. Looked around the area. Still nothing. Left a replacement cache. Also left a trackable.
A Rat was picked up by an Adder, and met up with a Starfish.
We went for long hike in the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park.
We spent about an hour here searching. Paffed and searched again.
WE came up empty handed.
paffed another friend on our way back to the car.
Still nada, will have to come back.
Could the CO please check on this one.

A rat picked up by the Adder, then to meet up with a Starfish at a special coffee shop in Nuri and prepared ourselves for the long hike in the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park.
Little did we realize the size or terrain of this park. Google maps lied to us, it showed the area as flat.
We certainly got our daily exercise and fresh air.
Our only DNF for the day

Time for a Wednesday wander with other members of the befuddled group of puzzle solvers. Today's target was the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park for a nice walk. We certainly under guesstimated how big this park was and didn't get ot the caches we wanted so we will have to come back.
We called in here on the way up towards the lookout and Rossitors cabin. A long half an hour search resulted in nothing. A PAF gave us a hint as to where to look but it didn't reveal a cache. Giving up we walked onto the next cache where the PAF hint matched that cache exactly.
So on the way back we PAF another previous finder and got another totally different hint as to where to look. So another fifteen minutes going over the same grounds and searching in places we had previously searched still revealed no cache. Bugger. Will have to come back one someone else confirms it is still here.
**Thanks JDHZ for the search anyway. **

Love this Conservation Park. Came here looking for native orchids. We were a bit early for most, but found some lovely Veined Spider Orchids in flower. Also saw some lovely birds including Eastern Spinebill, Scarlet Robin and Yellow Faced Honeyeater. Did a 6.5km loop using the Wallowa track, starting at the main entrance. Thanks so much for placing a cache here.
Here on this rather gloomy Saturday morning chasing a FTF on the nearby Mattycat cache. I passed this one on my way to “Barossa High” a couple of months ago, but didn’t stop for some reason.
Following on from “Summit To Be Seen By” (another JDHZ cache I visited earlier this week), am I the only one seeing a horse in the rock next to the track near GZ?

Found on an enjoyable day out visiting the Kaiserstuhl and Warren Conservation Park areas that involved a bit of driving and some very pleasant walking. The rain held off but it was a little cool at times.
While there seemed to be plenty of cars in the various carparks and plenty of mountain bikers getting ready, we didn’t spot a bike on the tracks all day - just a few other groups of walkers, mostly on this section of trail.
It was a nice, quick find.
Thanks JDHZ for the cache.

Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Came in from Rifle Range Road this week and we had a nice walk around on a cool, misty morning [^].
A bit surprised this wasn't hidden near the table top rock further north .
TNLNSL.
Thanks JDHZ.

This morning, Freddo, Team Waldron, thewhitedoggang, and Trail06 joined forces to complete the new Anna Tommy geoart series. The puzzle series took a while and some were pretty finnicky, but in the end, my anatomy knowledge had improved. We then detoured through a few geocaches around Gawler like the Meat Trail series, before I met with jesswrigley, and we took a drive through the wine country through Lyndoch finding a few oldie geocaches, and enjoying some wine tasting. We ended up calling through Tanunda for a bakery lunch, before closing out our day with some small walks/hiking in Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park, finding one of South Australia's oldest caches *Barossa High* as well as a few other older caches. A nice day to be out and about before we start seeing serious COVID-19 travel restrictions take effect.
What a fascinating spot this one was. A cool rock formation with fascinating geology. The geocache container and logbook were in good shape, and found within a few minutes of looking. Thanks JDHZ for the geocache placement, and ongoing maintenance efforts.

Out walking in the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park today after this and the other new traditional not too far away.
A quick find here, now on to the other one.

Came past today and made a quick find. A great little walk. I retract my previous statement about terrain rating, GZ is not where I envisaged the hills being! It is in fact a reasonably flat walk on a good track.
Left a TB..

Out with Aussie M & M on a caching adventure. We were targetting a few older ones and those with big favourite points but of course you have to grab a few others while passing.
Having tackled an old cache nearby we decided to continue our walk and really enjoyed the scenery.
Thanks to JDHZ from mogni

This was a nice easy walk from Alex's nearby iconic Barossa High cache. The sun hid behind some clouds and this was a bit of a breeze compared to some of the previous logs indicated.
Nice granite outcrops around here.

This cache should be called hard slog cache, I must say it is an interesting place as I've been here once before but it is a nice walk today and a ftf. As I was leaving 4 others were attempting the walk up also not sure if they were geocachers. That's to co for placing this cache.
Decided to start off the new year with some fresh air and a little hike. We parked at the recommended coordinates and started along trail. A quick find. Signed and dated the logbook. Looks like silver for us after a nice easy walk to start off the year. TFTC!
