Returning from Gold Coast to Auckland, but had to make a 5 hour stopover in Wellington. Oh well, a good excuse for a couple of hours walk to find some nearby caches ... A nice quick find here. Love these HIPSter type caches, so gets a FP from me. TFTC
A clever hide! Freezing cold southerly blowing through do didn't stick around for long
Another drive to Wellington to find some more caches before Wellywood Wednesday event this evening. A favorite point from me. Thanks radionut50 for the cache.
Love the creativity here. Deposited a TB in the hopes that it gets out of NZ having kicked around here for quite some time.
Wow .. last time I was in wellington I had a hour or. So to spare and had a wander up for this cache.. just driven past and realised it had no smiley.. so thought I had better log it. Dementia.. it gets us all.. cheers for the great placement
Brilliant - my favourite type of cache. Had to think twice before attempting but fortune favours the disrespectful-to-warning-signs. TFTC, a fav from me.
Great spot! Forgot pen so have attached photo. Trackable included for anyone flying over the ditch..
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely lookout. Been here 10 years, never knew it existed! XDShould I thank Jetstar for delaying my flight and giving this opportunity?... Nah, not gonna stretch it that far! ;PTFTC
I love how geocaching gets you to fab places & views you might not have got to otherwise. And love the hide, thanks
As a finder of the original geocache - thank you for keeping this one going! This time round we have kids searching
Great cache! Love out of the box ones like this. Nice spot for the planes too. Tftc
Had a four hour wait at the airport so we wandered off to do some geocaching! This one deserves a favourite! Sat and watched the planes for a while! TfTC and greetings from Orange NSW
Didnt know about this area. Views are impressive.Had a loan of my friends bike today and had a great time visiting different spots around Miramar today. It is the perfect way to get around to all the different spots. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Had a bit of time between flights and since it was a nice day why not get some caches. Thanks
Ha! A classic - super clever. We've been up here so many times and never noticed! Thank you!
this was really cool! I went with my friend and found it! Didn't take anything, but it has something cool!
We remember the old cache here!! Didnt read the cache page until after we got to gz and realised it was a hide we had come to previously!
On a trip from hakes bay to welly for a couple of nights.
Awesome view here we saw a plane taking off and one landing.
A fav point from us.
Thank you radionut50 for placing this cache.

Good quick find on a rather cold windy day.
Picked up "Community Volunteer Tag" and dropped off " Cheeky the Turtle" TB.

What is a credible panoramic view to be had at this location? Dips and travel bugs, signed the cash and enjoy watching planes take off
My third of seven days in a row for the wheel of challenges.
Great cache gets my favorite point.

Great spot and view, all in good order. I do wonder about the wisdom of encouraging geokids to ignore a danger sign when there's bait and traps nearby. Tftc
We were a bit worried about the danger sign, but we found it easily. Just didn't want to touch it in case. But we got there!
I've been here before!! A very long time ago. I was with a group but cannot remember who was in that group. Maybe I didn't sign it because I was working a streak and wanted to save it for another day. In which case it was probably about 3 years ago. Anyway, nice cache, and just large enough to not get ruled out for a favourite.
The team had plans for today, but the weather ki-boshed that, so after a morning of teaching my sister how to bottle pears, NZ_B and I went for a spot of cleaning up Wellington. I thought Miramar peninsula would be about right as both of us had some cleaning to do there.

A friend's plane was late to arrive so figured I would start my day off with a cache I've been meaning to get for ages. Knew where to look as soon as I arrived. Great stuff.
Awesome cache, the best one I've found for a long time. Great location too, enjoyed the views and had a walk along further and found myself looking at the top/back of the Wellywood sign! Hadn't intended to find this cache today but noticed it had a lot of favourite points now that the new feature on the app shows them on the map. And now it has an extra one TFTC
Had an appointment in the city this morning so with a little time to spare we thought we would grab a few of Welly's cooler caches.
Back when I was a kid "Recycling" was what you did on your bike on the return journey from somewhere. These days recycling is a popular and very necessary part of life. So why not recycle a geocache location? A great idea I thought.
I had visited the previous cache that was here many years ago so knew exactly where to go for a nice quick find.
TNLNSL Thanks radionut50

The theme of the day is hill climbs it seems. Each time I get back to the car hot and sweaty and as soon as I cool down I’m faced with another hill.
Nice hide! We saw a big plane come in so we sat on a seat for a bit and watched some planes for awhile. TFTC

got to watch a plane take off and had a view of a beautiful sunset. what a great location thank you
WOW
This cache was certainly impressive.
Many years ago, me and my dad would frequently pay a visit to this hill to watch the planes at the airport. It has been a long time since I was last up here. Earlier this evening, I was running some errands in Miramar, and decided to make a quick detour up this way while heading home. It brought me back a lot of memories from when I was younger.
After pulling up to the nearby carpark, I hopped out and began the short walk to the cache. After a few very brief moments of walking across the grass, I felt a slight sniffle in my nose. 'Dang' I thought to myself as I knew my hayfever was gonna pay me an unwelcome visit again.
Oh well, at least it doesn't affect me too badly, fortunately.
I soon arrived at GZ to begin searching for the cache. I immediately spotted an object I was suspicious of. Remembering the insane number of favourite points on this cache, I investigated this object further. Sure enough, the cache was quickly in my hands. I signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found.
This certainly was an impressive hide and I would definitely give it a favourite point if I could.

Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal). Mum put a photo of me rolling down the hill.
What does one do on their wedding anniversary during the school holidays?? Go Geocaching with GeoHubby (GNARwhal) and GeoDaughter (UnicornLex) of course!!!
A fun, sneaky cache, which deserves a favourite point for sure!
Lex had a ball of a time rolling down the hills!
