For the second time in a matter of minutes, I failed to find a large sized cache nearly as quickly as I would expect to. This time, it was more of a case of me not waiting for my GPSr to settle down and heading off on what turned out to be a bit of an arc around the cache location. Once I got myself sorted, it was great to see another well created and stocked container.
Thanks for the find, haha thought that was something else so didn't look at it closely and kept hunting haha
Nice easy find during the day we went at night and we couldnt find it but we didnt let the hephalump out
This group of caches was on the list to find during this week. It is a most lovely and peaceful stand of native bush to walk through.
After caching in the countryside south of Bell Block yesterday we are finding a few caches before we head back to PN.
Out and about with LNM1961 revisiting Taranaki and collecting caches.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Phronimos.

No heffalump here just a great place to
find a log to sign. This piece of bush is a wonderful asset for the New Plymouth community. Out and about caching in the Taranaki vicinity.

Time to make our journey home, with a few caches along the way. I targeted this large cache but Infoferret found it — not what I was expecting! Cheers Phronimos!
Great hide! Coordinates accurate. Left the heffalump behind. Thanks for the cache!
While I was visiting Piglets house Ms M was hunting for the Heffalump. Luckily I returned via the Heffalump track not expecting Ms M to still be looking.
Description and hint read and it wasn’t long before I spotted it. Another excellent hide. +FP TFTC

Decided to a walk around here today. Actually was a good spot on a hot day in the cool of the trees. Spotted something of interest and yes it was a nicely done cache. Tftc.
Once at gz we soon spotted something that needed to be checked out. We quickly signed the log and sealed the cache as found so that hefalump could not escape. Favorite point for a cache which we have not seen before. TFTC
First one me and my 4 year old daughter went looking for easy find she loves it
Out for a morning walk been meaning to come back and get this for a while took tb tftc
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on ANZAC day, our last full day in New Plymouth.
I was keen to target the 100 Aker Wood series of caches because of their size. This was a quick find - nice hide and loved the hunny jar too. Dropped in a TB. TFTC.

#21022. Troodles made a quick find here, which was a good start on our exploration of 100 Aker wood. TFTC.
This was our first find in this area, I had made a list of caches we wanted to find and the large ones in this area were on top of the list.
We soon worked out which track we should head along and it wasn't long before we were in the right area.
I had misinterpreted the hint - I thought I knew what it was referring to - as it turned out I was wrong. I had seen the cache but thought nothing of it and kept on searching. GK eventually called me over and I did feel a tad embarrassed that I had not looked closer - woops.
The log was signed and returned as we found it.
We are in the North Island to try to complete the PWGT Tahi section so we are having to head to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

In New Plymouth for the weekend and staying nearby, and being a Pooh Bear fan from her childhood, Mrs nzk decided she’d like to do the 100 Aker Wood caches. We wandered around amongst the trees here, then got a good fix and walked straight to it. A great themed cache which gave us a chuckle. TFTC Phronimos, a fave for the series.
Catching a heffalump is never easy and so it took us a while to get all our ducks in line, so to speak. However, we are super pleased to report that we did manage to catch it and not let it escape. It is a great cache and has some lovely SWAG as well. A very suitable #5,000 for us and earns a joyful fave from us. Cache is all good. TFTC
Found by Blenheim Bear great wee cache and gets a fav from me. All dry inside too. Thanks for the cache all good today. Blenheim Bear
Stumbled about cursing gps reception under tree canopy’s until I practically stumbled over the cache. Went on to repeat the process at all the rest. Nice size container.
This was so much fun! My 3 year old loved it. Thank you to the makers of this game!! Such an awesome idea!
Visiting New Plymouth for the weekend. Nice sunny day to be out caching. Enjoyed this walkway particularly with all the memories of Pooh bear and his friends. Cache and log all fine. Great to have a few large caches together. Heffalump did make a run for but I manage to catch and return him to his save hiding place. Thanks phronimos for getting me out here.
Walked past it a couple of times, till finally noticed the writing..
Hufflump didn't escape.

Well this one sucked. Looked hi and low. The hiding spot was not. A FP from me. Very well done
Down in Taranaki for an extended weekend and taking some time on a drizzly morning to find a few caches instead of heading up to Pouakai Hut, which was the original plan. We had a lovely walk around the Huatoki walkway, picking up yellow smileys and enjoying the bush! TFTC
Cute! Clues had us scratching our heads but it all made sense once we found it! Added a wee heffalump to keep the big guy company. Thanks for the cache!
Loved the cache container here and the very clear label was appreciated! No heffalumps escaped Great start to our walk. TFTC
#12,166. Another short exploration of the Huatoki Domain in New Plymouth. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. Great story and hide. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. But unfortunately, Der Auge was not in the cache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
We soon had another good cache located.
*We enjoyed the walk around, took a bit to find this one and pleased when we finally located it!*
