Logs
My plan had been to firstly find two large sized caches in this location to complete a level of a challenge that has been taken me too long and maybe grab a couple more that may help me with the next level (the requirements for which I have not yet checked out). As I often too, I amended my plan partly due to the proximity of other caches such as this one. The singularly specific feature was soon spotted but I had to be careful about getting to where I needed to go, having had hip replacement surgery earlier in the year. It was no surprise to find another very well presented cache in great condition. The route that I went up didn't seem to be great one to return on so I looked for another that was better suited to a descent, for me anyway. While I was gingerly making my way down, I was rumbled by a dog walking muggle and I felt obliged to tell her what I was doing. She seemed semi-interested until I told her the treasure wasn't real.
If I was a geocache, where would I be? Id be in the of this big . Happened to sing this to myself whilst finding. Lovely cache. Thank you
More about "where would I hide a gc..." as my GPS was about 10m short tftc beautiful spot
Thanks for the find, signal kept cutting out around here so I just walked until I saw a suspected hiding place and found it easy
GPS has me looking further down the track then suddenly pointed back along the track. Soon found after that. Tftc
Phronimos, thank you so very much for bringing me here. I have really enjoyed walking through the bush. It is just so beautiful and peaceful.
This was a well-hidden cache but found after a good ol’ hunt.
After caching in the countryside south of Bell Block yesterday we are finding a few caches before we head back to PN.
Out and about with LNM1961 revisiting Taranaki and collecting caches.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Phronimos.

Another great place for a cache here in Winnie the Pooh 100 acre wood. Beautiful native bush and an easy walk through.
Thanks to Phronimos for placing this series here.

On our bikes. Ms M took the road while I took the track. Hot and muggy in the bush today. Just rideable for me to here. A short scramble and a quick find. TFTC
It's a rainy day... I had a bit of a Scrabble around but it was slippery and phone was getting wet, and I was getting muddy... So I didn't do as much searching as I might have done... Thanks
Got to gz. GPS had me at one spot but no. Stood back and look. Saw a possible one and bingo cache was found. Thanks for your placements. It's a really good spot for a walk. Tftc.
We went for a walk in the bush and found this cache. Koro climbed the bank and got it. Thanks for the cache.
The 100 Aker Wood was a little wet and muddy after the overnight rain, but this did not stop us checking out this unique tree to find the cache. TFTC
Loved the tree!! And the walkway, beautiful easy walk perfect for the kids and dogs.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on ANZAC day, our last full day in New Plymouth.
The last of the series, which we did in the clockwise direction. That's one big specimen. My Oregon packed a sad at this point and lost satellites, a common occurrence in heavy tree cover. Thanks for the effort with this series.

#21026. I seem to remember clambering up to find this one. We enjoyed exploring the area; thanks for bringing us here. TFTC.
I had gone ahead of gk to find this one while he was heading up to the zig cache nearby, that one was a bit steep for my sore ankle so when I got to here I figured I knew where the cache would be. I just had to work out how to get there without any further injury or pain.
I just carefully made my way to the cache, signed it and returned it as I had found it. As I was heading back to the track gk turned up and made sure my return was incident free.
We are in the North Island to try to complete the PWGT Tahi section so we are having to head to the far north. Along the way we will pick up a few other caches that take our interest such as those with lots of favourites or size large or letterbox caches or some that will just help us to fulfil some of the various challenges we are working on.
With the new souvenir challenge we need to use the app to log the finds, but as I like to waffle on and write my stories on my laptop I am writing these while back at the campervan.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

I’m taking a punt here uphills27 that you **did not find** 78 geocaches all over the North Island in one day. If you can prove my deleting your logs is incorrect I am happy for you to re-log your finds with your proof.
Below the track is the stream containing big stones and rocks, but I placed the cache above the track as a safety issue for the littlies. Thanks for the visits and favourite points
Mrs nzk clambered up the bank, circled around to locate the cache, and was squatted down signing the log when she heard Mr nzk greeting some dog walkers on the track below. Thankfully they didn’t spot her in a compromising position. All good here. We may have missed something here as didn’t see the reason for the cache title, but agree with previous comments about the interesting tree. TFTC Phronimos.
We clomped merrily along, realising at the last minute that we may have gone past - gone past! However, thanks to the good clue we were soon in the vicinity with our # 4999 safely recorded. Cache is all good. TFTC
Took my bubble for a cache and some fresh air this evening kids did all the hard work for this one great find for them TFTC
Visiting New Plymouth for the weekend. Nice sunny day to be out caching. Enjoyed this walkway particularly with all the memories of Pooh bear and his friends. Cache and log all fine. Thanks phronimos for getting me out here.
ANZAC weekend in Taranaki. Focused on Adventure Labs and also whatever will be handy. This hide was one of them.
I had great pleasure to meet new Geocachers near GZ and we had nice conversation!

On the hunt not for eggs but caches. A little off the beaten track for this one but and good find. TFTC
Down in Taranaki for an extended weekend and taking some time on a drizzly morning to find a few caches instead of heading up to Pouakai Hut, which was the original plan. We had a lovely walk around the Huatoki walkway, picking up yellow smileys and enjoying the bush! TFTC
Another nice find, and a singular tree indeed! Left a camel to join the party here. Thanks for the cache!
#12,220. Enjoyed this short walk in the Huatoki Domain in New Plymouth. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Unfortunately, LiguriaBug was not in the cache.

A quick clamber and quickly found. Almost finished on our walk, keen to try the gravel path through the middle next time. Thoroughly enjoyed the series of caches and the themed log books!. TFTC
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
We soon had another good cache located.
*WOW - impressed at the walking track, we really enjoyed the nice walk around and the generous sized containers. This one soon found*

Great geocache. Had fun with the kids with these series of finds. Lovely spot. TFTC
EtherLady and I are on our way to New Plymouth for a weekend away.
We've thrown the EtherKids out at my parents' place in Wanganui, and now we've arrived in the 'Naki!
Actually, today is go-home-day, and wouldn't you know it... the weather has finally decided to play ball! Typical [B)]
At an event in the Horowhenua a few days ago, I was chatting with the CO about a nearby challenge cache and mentioned that I was missing two Large sized caches to qualify for the cache. Having already said earlier in the event that we were heading towards New Plymouth straight afterwards, the CO mentioned that this series of caches hosted a couple of large sized containers that would assist my qualification.
This immediately put them to the top of my to-do list for the trip! (well, ok, second-to-top of my to-do list )
After packing up our gear at the accommodation, we headed to the parking coords and started the hunt.
This was our second find of the hike, and to quote Sir Mix-a-lot, "I Like Big Buttresses!"
Thanks for the cache. +TB

was a great find! went the wrong track, but found in the end! sadly no trackable to be found
Mr rattll wanted to pick something up in New Plymouth, which wouldn't take long, so what to do with the rest of the day?
We had a bit of an issue with the GPS under the tree's today although this one wasn't too far out, and with the clue it was just a matter of checking all the likely spots.
I'd gotten used to the larger buckets so missed it on the first look, but then spotted it after I turned around.
Thanks for setting up this cute series. 'Winnie the pooh' was a fav of mine as a child, as it was for my children too.
