Found the spot but it is empty even the item recently posted by CO doesn't seem to be there
Dnf. Heres what it looks like. When comparing with other photos looks like might possibly be missing, but Ive been in a cache funk lately so might just be me!
The Obvious object from one of the previous finders has gone, owner should come and check because someone has taken it.
Wow amazing brilliant find, spectacular thinking for whoever came up with this cache. My favourite one so far!
A rather unplanned stay in Takapuna. A cool hide, located on the way to get some food. I am glad it was the evening with not many people around! TFTC!!
#810Camo rocked my socks off. Nice landscape feature too. Signed and made a quick escape, hopefully without being spotted by the many people out for lunch.
Had to wait out a few Muggles staring at me from across the road. Great camo....nice feature I had never noticed!
1278 for the tribeG'day from across the ditch! The tribe are on a caching adventure in Auckland for a few days targetting our DT grid, our Jasmer grid, some very old caches and some very favourited caches, and of course enjoying the amazing natural beauty ofNew Zealand A big thank you to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache. That really is nifty. The muggles have no idea! This was a lovely distraction after saying goodbye to a friend earlier in the day. Cheers.
Had a feeling of what to look for, but was still surprised. Thank you for the creativity and effort in creating this hide. May it last. Ng mihi, TFTC
Found pretty quickly on a lunch break at a cubing competition, good hideTFTC!
I stopped by here a couple of days ago and thought it must be impossible during the day. Today, I put on my invisibility cloak (amazing what you get away with when you have grey hair) and grabbed this while people were eating lunch and looking elsewhere. Clever hide, thanks for placing this.
Wooooow! What amazing camo job!Pencil broke on route so photo attached as proof (no spoilers)
Looked late evening. Could not find it with only the street lights on. Coordinates are on the disabled parking place Maybe we try again tomorrow.
Awesome hide! A quick grab before meeting some friends for lunch on a beautiful day
Very cool cache! The coordinates pointed to the middle of the road though. Forgot pen to sign log! Thaks G_2.FP added
Day 21: The unexpected trip to Takapuna Todays journey was an entirely unplanned one thanks to a delayed flight that meant that we could only leave on the 24th rather than today as scheduled. Since the wife was stressed and all, it was a good day to unwind by the beach up in Takapuna. So, we made the trip and we found a few caches along the way around the area. Thanks for all the caches here, it really made the best of an otherwise slightly stressful situation. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:Last couple of caches sorted out while waiting for lunch nearby. This was a very nicely made one, but such a construction will not escape a trained cachers eye. Hope itll last in this extremely muggly area, and thanks for the fun here!
First trip to NZ since pre covid and a great day spent pottering around Taka. Grabbed this on the way past love the hide, very similar to a few Ive bagged in the UK. Thanks for placing.
I'm down in Auckland for a geocaching weekend with Yvettetb. It was her birthday yesterday and I wanted some cache numbers to bring my December finds up hence the plan to hit Auckland. We did the walks in Long Bay Regional Park on Friday, walking 18.7kms and got 30 caches (including AdLabs). Saturday we cached around Lake Pupuke and got 27 caches with 10.8kms of walking. Today we did Devonport so we could attend the Narrow Neck Event. Only 9.3kms walked today but it was very much up and down the mountain at North Head. 16 caches for me today. I might add the Adelaide cache to my list as I'm hoping to get there late next year. This was a good, quick find as it was a Sunday morning. Much less busy than yesterday when we drove by, couldn't find a park so gave up before we even started looking for it. Thanks for the neat cache hide
Our second cache of the day and we managed to find a park on a Saturday morning across the road from GZ as luck would have it. A quick find at GZ with no muggles around. What an awesome cache and for bringing me here.Day two of my birthday long weekend and what better way to celebrate than by going geocaching with Lis's Crew. What are great summers day for caching in/around Milford.
I'm up in Auckland for a few things - work, Christmas work do, visiting daughter and grandchildren - and some geocaching - how could I corget that! Today, after finishing other things, I had time for a bit of a wander to find some caches. This was the first one I came to. Had to explain to some work colleagues what I was doing lol. After a short search the clever cache was spotted and the log signed. Thanks for the fun and TFTC, Biggles.
**#19,351**Just checked Google Street view to jog the memory of this hide, yep remember it now, very nicely concealed hide, a very G2 typ camo hide here, I'm sure glad the GZ didn't look like it does on street view, not a person in sight at GZ at 9-10pmNicely done, thanks Glyn!FAVE
Super fun find. I provided much entertainment to the bar crowd that were hanging outside. Overlooked the hiding spot twice!Fun stop after dining with friends.
Find #735Found while walking Te Araroa - new Zealands long pathway from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Thank you to all the cache owners who place and maintain these caches, and thank you to all the people who help me and others on the way. Some logs signed as LBB to save space. After staying at the holiday park nearby it was a relaxed start. Seeing the favourites on this cache I stopped by and spotted something out of place once getting to GZ. Cache is in good condition, log signed as LBB to save space
Needed to stop into Takas on our way up north and after a flat car battery was replaced (not a great start to the weekend away) and some hot chips were consumed (Catch 21 even had complimentary dog treats hand made by the chef) we stopped in for a high fav point cache. Micro McArgister spotted this straight away but take nothing away from its construction, excellent! Add another fav point. Realised Mrs McArgister had no pen in her bag though, so committed the geo-sin of taking a photo for evidence. Thanks for the fully charged cache! Fav point!
Sunny stroll in Takapuna with Vistra. Loved the camo here. Stealth required with lots of muggles around.
I had to call into Takapuna briefly for work this afternoon, then TheLandGirl and I took the opportunity to walk to Milford and back again, finding a few caches along the way. Not sure why I've never looked for this cache before, despite working not far from it since its publication! Quickly spotted the very well made cache and grabbed it when the coast was clear, then headed over to Duck Island for an icecream. TFTC, fav point added for the great work on this one!
