I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Temporarily disabled as cache has been lost owing to council maintenance. Will re-enable when replaced
There are a lot of cut off branches as a result of tree trimming in the area.
It appeas likely the cache has been disturbed in the course of this work.
I wouldn't normally report probably missing on the basis of one DNF but there aren't many places the cache could be that line up with the specific hint.

Last find of the day (3 of 5 today) with Mycro Man and Ezratar. Quick easy find. T4TC
Nice quick find while down in the area with tmann421 today.
Thanks for the puzzle
Thanks for the puzzle
MightyMicra and I have been busy solving many of the Kiwi Geo Trail puzzles and now we are out for an afternoon to see how many of the caches we can find. Quick find for this one. TFTC.
Nice quick find. Collecting a few of the series that have been updated. All good here. TFTC
I remember finding a cache in this location previously; maybe it was even in the exact same spot. In any case, it proved to be the quick find I expected it to be.
great to locate this re vamped kiwi trail cache it was a straight forward find and i was soon on my way.
Thank you for this cache,
Thank you for this cache,
Had to fossick around in a range of hint objects but eventually found the cache when it fell onto my hand. Tftc!
Today is the 14th day of our journey to the south island. I had planned to complete the Kiwi Geotrail before we head to Wellington to take the ferry to the south island. Having arrived near the Lake yesterday I was able to pick up seven of the series on our way to the campsite after visiting Rivendell and eating dinner in the Upper Hut area. We spent the night at the edge of the lake and after eating breakfast I started to collect the Kiwi Caches at around 9:30am.
I mannaged to find 55 caches today, 54 of which to complete the Kiwi. It took me a total of 10 1/2 hours to complete the trail at 8:00pm in a rather slow pace.
This was # 33 of 55 caches today.
The puzzle was solved a few weeks ago. We parked at the main road only to realise that it wasn't on that side so we walked up the other side and made a quick find there. Tftc.

Team GST (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ) got together again for another caching trip. This time with a focus on finding all the Porirua Kiwi GeoTrail. We had a lovely drive around the area over 8 hours in which I found 70 caches. The parking at times was quite tricky and crossing the busy road was even worse but we all ended the day mostly unharmed (except for a few scratches from gorse).
I started solving all the kiwi caches only 2 weeks before our trip. Fortunately most of them were quite straight forward and the information that was required was almost immediately obvious.
#45 of 70 today. Nice quick find. All good with the container and logbook.

I was out and about today as part of Team GST (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ), working our way around the Pauatahanua Inlet finding all the Porirua Kiwi GeoTrail series of puzzle caches, plus a few selected others along the way.
In spite of the recent bad weather, we were lucky enough to have mainly sunshine today although the blowing southerly certainly left the air very fresh at times. I had already found a few of this series, as had Gr33nslime, but for the sake of ease whilst logging, all logs today were signed 'Team GST' regardless of whether we had found them before or not.
Having parked up on the 'main' road, and only then realising where the cache would be, Gr33nslime and I started walking off to find it. However, we were both suitably surprised to find ourselves being overtaken by a sprinting Stardust! Having beaten us to GZ, she made a quick find and after a few laughs we were soon making our more genteel descent back to the car.
Thanks for the Puzzle, and the cache. A great way to help me celebrate 2 years of caching.

# 1578 Team GST has assembled again (Gr33nslime, Stardust718, TwigNZ), for another caching mission. Mission for today was to finally finish the Porirua Kiwi, something I had solved about 5 years ago and have slowly worked towards finishing. Today would bring an end to that work. All up I found 28 caches today, and only 1 DNF, so unfortunately the kiwi is still unfinished but a sight closer than it was. We did the loop clockwise, and I feared for my life with some of the parking places and road crossings but all and all, it is well achievable to visit all 61 kiwis in the space of 7 or so hours. Thanks to the creators and maintainers of this series, it is a fantastic piece of geoart that still brings people to the region!
I dont really like cabbage, so its funny that this ended up being a race to the cabbage. Stardust won!

Beautiful autumn day for a walk, puzzle solved quickly and cache located easily, gradually making my way through the kiwi - think I have about 6 to go, TFTC
We were staying in Upper Hutt for the week over Easter break and hoped today was finally the day we finished off the Kiwi Geo Trail. Our first go was in Oct 2013 and we did roughly 1/3, we did some more in Oct 2016 and finally wanted to finish it today. A quick find here. You have to laugh at the view from the seat. (see photo) Thanks to both the original owner and now the adoptive owner for the effort involved in placing and creating this series for all of us to enjoy.
Out grabbing a few of the Kiwi today. Nice quick park and grab. Thanks for the cache.
First of a number of repairs needed on my kiwi.
I couldn't make the numbers work on this. The checksum didn't tally and the location I got was in the water. After reading a few logs I was inspired to massage the results and came up with a credible location, but not one that matched a couple of answers in the puzzle.
Nevertheless, on arriving I spotted something that matched the hint object and had the cache in hand in a few seconds

#10,666. Enjoyed solving this puzzle that is based in the Porirua Harbour (Pauatahanui Arm) in Mana, Porirua. Final GZ was all quiet when we visited. Took a little searching. Widened the area a bit, and found it about 8 metres from where we started the search. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Cache # 4,743 - A quick find on a nice afternoon with Violet Butterfly and Astro Hunter. VB had actually looked in the spot first and missed it, but I quickly corrected that error. All good with the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Found with The Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly today. A nice spot, and a quick find. Thanks!

Searched a number of hints in the area. I was slightly annoyed when TWD came to a spot I already searched and yelled out "found it!", but happy to get a smilie on the map. Thanks for a nice cache!

#6572. I noticed the Porirua kiwi had some different colours back in it again. So decided it was time to turn it back into a yellow shape. Solved the three new puzzles. I could remember the method I used last time I did similar puzzles so didn't take too long to locate the right references and get some new numbers. All checked out OK. Then it was a case of driving to Porirua and picking them up. I had been here before for another cache. A multi final if I remember rightly. Any way today there seemed to be only a few objects to search but I had to sweep around them all twice before I finally felt the cache. Why can't I check properly the first time? Too impatient it seems. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks aros71 for the puzzle and the cache.
Found today while out with Fdaze. Searched in what turned out to be the wrong location, then widened the search area and Fdaze spotted it. TFTC
Out and about with Talla64 trying to turn some Kiwi GeoTrail caches back into smileys again. We searched for ages for this one, then all of a sudden, I had it in hand. Funny how we had both checked this spot out and completely missed it. Well, that happens sometimes (quite a lot in fact). Thanks for the cache.

Called here this morning on the way for a coffee at Pauatahanui after having solved the puzzle a week ago. A quick find in about the third place checked. Signed log, TFTC!

After a DNF on another in the series, I was very glad to be rewarded with a quick find...TFTC
(# 4903). Quickly solved this one and went to get this today. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Referring back to my notes from when I originally solved this series gave me some numbers, but the checksum didn't add up, and the coords put me in water. So I re-checked ever number with the source I used first time, and still was no good. So I took a guess on which number to adjust to put me on land and meet the checksum, checked it with Goolge maps and street view, and all looked good. Made my way out here tonight and quickly found what I was looking for. All safe and dry, TFTC.
A quick run with Spider-bite to get the latest 2 replacements. Many thanks for these
Was at home doing some chores and saw this new puzzle cache pop up and decided to have a look at it, having completed the series many years ago, there seems like a few that seem to drop in and out and then they seem to get replaced by new ones.
After having a quick look at the puzzle I decided to dust off the old memory cell and think about how to solve this one, it didnt take too long before I soon had an answer that I was happy with and then it was time to check if the FTF was still up for grabs.
Had a quick look and noticed that the FTF on this one had gone so decided that I would finish what I was doing and then make my way out and pick this cache up for my cache for the day. Decided to give SAROC a call and see if he was interested in coming along for a drive, and he said yes, so I decided to pick him up as I was passing his place and we would go and pick up this cache together.
The drive to the final GZ really didnt take too long as I have being pass this spot numerous times. Arriving near GZ, I was able to find a safe parking spot with I managed to find a safe parking spot about 50 metres from GZ, and then it was a matter of walking over to GZ. As I was walking over to GZ, I read the hint and as I arrived at GZ I soon spotted the very clever hide.
Managed to retrieve the cache, signed and then replaced the cache back where I found it. Thanks to Aros71 & WhitbyTui for placing this puzzle cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (14131). Great to see that the kiwi is still alive and well.
Now it is time to go back home and continue with my chores.....

Met up with Yeetrees at the Paremata railway station and off we went. He had input the coordinates into his GPS, but when we arrived near to GZ he queried the location as it was quite near to another cache. On checking, he discovered that it helps if you use the right minute of latitude [B)]. So it was back in the car and around to the other side of the inlet where after a short hunt he placed his hands on the cache first.
Probably, could'av, possibly made FTF if it hadn't been for the extra mileage traveled to get here. Ah's well we added our names to the log for a FDF.
Thanks for redoing the Kiwi.

CO here - apologies for the formatting. I will fix this tomorrow evening once I'm back at a computer.
FTF@0902!
I got to work on solving this as soon as I saw the email came through. A familiar theme, but still had to refer to other solved puzzles to remember what the key was. Soon came up with some coordinates that matched the checksum and plugged them into the map. Hmm still out in the inlet. I checked and rechecked again. There was only two clues that I didn't have previous answers for and I was still insistent on my first solution. However adjusting those two values so that the checksum still matched ended me up in a location that was not new to me, having found my 1,000th cache at that same location, and I knew there were hint objects there.
So it was off for me to quickly get dressed and jump in the car to head out, hoping that I would beat YetiNZ this time round . Soon got to GZ and headed towards a hint object and immediately had the cache in hand, and a blank logsheet! Glad to finally have an FTF this month to keep that streak going. The notification for the other Kiwi GeoTrail cache came through while I was at GZ, so of course I had to sit and solve that one. TFTC

The kiwi has finally healed again - thanks WhitbyTui. I always thought this would be a good place for a kiwi cache and now that cache occupying this zone is gone it can be - and is be! That seems like an Alexei Sayle reference. Anyway I didn't park very close to the cache - even though I could have - preferring to enjoy the walk from further away. A moderately quick find although I looked in about 3 wrong places first. Just have to get the other new one when it's less muggly. TFTC.
A fairly quick find for me also and likewise also of the opinion that it is a well chosen spot. Found four other names in the logbook so a good number of visitors today, unlike today's other published cache that only had one other name in the logbook when I visited. And a fairly rare first day find {FDF} quite by accident really.
TFTC and keeping the series alive.
