My apologies now for the repeated logs, this is after all a power trail of sorts, and as with my own, dont expect lengthy individual logs.Anything of note will be written at the end of the log.Needed some quality me time to help get my head into gear, so as the Geomissus has taken a two week interlude with the geodaughter in Victoria, I decided to take the opportunity to head out into the lesser travelled areas near the places I worked in many years ago, and also to gobble up some series I had been working on in the last few months. But on the way, also spend some extra time in my favourite location, the bush! This Power trail was actually just a warm up for my main target in Bathurst, around Peel Common, and actually only spotted this series by chance! The entire circuit was much longer than the 25-30k I anticipated, and was more like 50 by the geoAstra. What did really surprise me was the amount of traffic on the road, precisely what I was not expecting. The first few hides were tricky to pull over as they are doing a great deal of road work in that area, and a couple of others that I avoided as I was just a bit uncomfortable pulling of the road in those spots. But thats ok, had a nice visit to an area Ive not visited, but have been in the area having run 6 foot track many times! My favourite area by far was Sandy Hook, where I pulled up to have a refreshment break. No traffic there!

I've had a love of the Cox's River and the western Blue Mountains area for a long time, so meandering through these back roads which hug the water courses and ridges was a perfect way to spend a morning in the Blue Mts.
Recent rains and run-off made some of these caches very hard to find as they were buried under sediment, while some of the roads were like outback 4WDriving.
Thanks for placing this series

Decided we needed some numbers today and thought this trail would be easy but with long grass and some slightly wonky coords at times, it was slower going than we hoped so we pulled at the half way point and will be back for a more focussed visit later.

This one was a quick park and grab. TNLN TFTC

It is our last day here, and as the ladies went to high tea, we went caching, and decided on the Coxs River Road. We had a great time touring the area, picking up 25 of the Coxs, plus a few unrelated, plus a trig and a cool GA movable. We've left enough for another adventure next time we're here! Thanks for placing this series in this picturesque area.
This was a quick find at the obvious GZ, we took the TB. The 'Be The Maker' TB was not present...

Tried to finish off the Cox's Road Rambling series which I had started yesterday. Most attempted were found and in good condition but had about 3 DNFs for various reasons, addressed in the individual logs.

Another couple were not attempted due to timing constraints. Really enjoyed this series on another magic day for enjoying the scenery. TFTC and for placing and maintaining this series pandsa.

We camped at the Wallace Lakes rest area with the caravan, found a spot where we would not get bogged in with the copious rain we had experienced. This morning dawned foggy but with signs the sun would make an appearance. We started early and loved the scenery as we travelled the area. Nice cache and hide. Thanks to pandsa for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Today it was decided to take a run along this trail with ilook4geo. There we found a variety of containers in different types of hides and we enjoyed finding each one. The logs were mostly small in size, so were signed with both lots of initials. Thanks go to pandsa for creating this series. The views we had were mostly of smoke but we enjoyed the drive anyway.

It was fun rambling along the roads and finding this series of caches with goingplaces2. Views were very smokey, but we enjoyed the day. Thanks for this cache and the whole trail.

19,231. Found during a weekend caching meander with minniek and GLISS!, and an awesome time was had.

Our first aim was to do the Coxs River Road series, and we finally hit the trail at about 11:00. This was the next one, and it was quickly found once at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we headed off to the next one.

Thanks pandsa !!

After spending yesterday crawling through Tuglow cave, today was the slow and weary trip back home. With sore muscles and bruises, climbing out and back in the car several times to find a trail of caches was exhausting. But at least it was another 6 degrees warmer outside than it was on Friday when i started this trail.
Thanks for the cache.

On way back to Sydney today near the end of our current geocaching holiday in Australia we couldn't resist diverting off the main highway to undertake this trail of caches. We are so glad we did as we found ourselves on a very scenically beautiful drive on a road less travelled. This one was a nice quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache where we also discovered the Aussie Koala Bear Travel Bug. Greetings from Zimbabwe

Gave myself the late morning and the rest of the afternoon to tackle this series. I had a couple of DNFs, one probably cache blindness and the other two for other reasons. Thanx for the series

This narrow, twisty, gravel road is the perfect way to escape the Saturday morning crowds heading for the caves Razz
I had not gone far down the hill when this cache stop popped up.

I haven't got me caching eyes on yet !! [:o]
This cache took me ages to find Red Face

On my way to stay with family at White Rock I took a slight diversion to visit the Coxs Road caches. There was some lovely views, beautiful Aussie bush and fun caches. Most caches were found fairly quickly, thanks to the generous hints, others took a little longer and required reading previous logs which I found most helpful. Please excuse the generic logs and thanks for placing and maintaining this trail pandsa.

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 37.643 E 150° 5.946

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 37.675 E 150° 6.004

Distance from original: 352.7 feet or 107.5 meters.

After talking to fellow geocachers who found the slope to the cache too difficult we have moved it to a safer parking spot and an easier approach.

Sorry about the generic logs for this series, but I didn't log these soon after we did them & I've now lost my notes for each cache.

It was a lovely Sunday, perfect for a drive in the country. We spent the morning driving along the route and enjoyed our day. All caches found with no problem.

Thanks for placing this series.

Namaste

Found with WaywardWoman while on the trail this morning. As we both have knee problems, we looked at this cache and pondered the problem. Maybe we should have done "paper, rock and sissors" to decide who should attempt it, but I volunteered WW and she accepted the challenge. We should have had a sled, but she managed it, and I cheered her on! Picked up the TBs, and after she made her was back to the car we headed on. TFTC

#4883- Out caching early with thomo31. This one was only a 2.5 T, but was a bit of a challenge for me. Luckily I wore my bum sliding pants- they came in handy! I found the correct spot in the end and then it was a matter of getting back up. We picked up two bugs, which thomo 31 will move on and I left my Aussie koala for some Aus travel. Nice to see at least one larger container. Thanks

09-Feb-19
An easy find, dropped off a couple of trackables for someone to move on.

08-Feb-19
Like TC, I came at this one from the low side.

03-Feb-19
Sadly the GZ is already showing signs of damage so I took a wide berth to get to this one.

Thanks for placing this interesting series of caches pandsa. I enjoyed reading the brief history of the Parishes of Hartley, Kanimbla and Ganbenang especially the connection with the Zig Zag Track where I had recently logged two other caches on the escarpment. Loved the rolling hills, green pastures, winding country roads and, of course, the fantastic views. Undertook the searches jointly with Forereach (and Mrs Forereach) and we came across hardly any traffic or muggles during the day. What a great day out. Please excuse the generic posts - its hard to be creative for each cache in such a large series!!

02-Feb-19
We spent a great day with my brother (Dogwood53) caching in the Kanimbla Valley, overcast sure, but the rain fortunately held off. Returned to finish off the rest of Pandsa’s “Coxs River Road Ramble” series and enjoy the stunning views across the valley. Pardon the generic post. TFTC
