We're over in Churchill collecting a few geocaches to help with the current souvenir challenge. Our phone GPS was all over the place here but eventually logic won out and we spotted something logical which turned out to be the container. Thanks for find #6364TNLN
After a day in the valley, it was time for some caches. Our first cache in the LV event series and today hopefully wont be the last day of finding these intriguing caches. A quick find but thankfully for us, we have found a few caches similar to this before. Log signed as SB with the logged date. TFTC Mummy Short Legs#127

Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches.A nice ride around on a mild day.Started the uphill section towards this cache.Took me longer than it should have to locate the hide. Thanks, Robmc.
On a sneaky midweek getaway we were off the grab some caches, I think I pass over this one three time until geo hubby did the hummmm at me and the sneaky cache was in hand, thanks for placing it
Tftc Mummy shortlegs. Another 45 or so minutes free to spend caching while grandkid at the Leisure Centre playing volleyball. After last week's 5 of 5, this week it was 4 of 4 inc. 2 with said grandkid afterwards.
Quick find, cache and log in good condition.

GPS not playing nice but Megmacca knew what to look for, Having had me throw one of these at her previously. Unlike the previous incident that took forever this cache was spotted very quickly.
GOSr 10 m out ( middle of the road) but a swift find using geosenses and hint.

Hi there Mummy Short Legs, we found your cache The LV Event: Double the view today.
We’re staying in Churchill for a while before heading to the “big smoke” so Penny can get a new knee.
A nice, quick, find while touring around the area close to where we are camped.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log are in good shape.
Regards
Ian & Penny
(Found and logged using Cachly).

Made our way to the Valley today for a caching day out. Caching with a previous finder however they were happy to wait in the car. Not finding it immediately had them out of the car to help but as soon as they did I had the cache in hand.
Thanks Mummy Short Legs

This one was a bit tricky last time as the gps was a bit out but one it straight away today tftc
I needed out... and I needed to walk kms for the one Foot forward mental health challenge. Since attending this event many moons ago, I’ve been meaning to come back and get this series. Looks like today was the day.
Saw this one as I was walking up the hill. See a few in my geocareer but easily could have been fooled.

At a job in Traralgon and knew I would be finished at 1pm so I asked my niece if she wanted to go Geocaching as we haven’t done any caches since COVID started back in March.
Quick find stamped log thanks for the cache.

Late logging some finds pre - lockdown 2.0! This scores a favourite for nostalgic reasons, we had one growing up! Easily spotted once I had the angle right, the GPS doesn't love this area so much. Great cache, thanks MSL.
It's been a while but got out and about today with the bestie to log some caches. Enjoying the countryside drive and logging this series. tyftc
Haha, I spotted this hide almost immediately! And this was the first one of these I've found that wasn't full of bugs. TFTC
Fantastic but tricky cache, took some thinking and 4 sets of eyes to find this one! TFTC
We are enjoying a long awaited caching weekend away. Our research suggest there were some pretty good caches down this way. Today the plan was to hit up Churchill. These caches led us nicely into town. Thanks for showing the way. Nearly overlooked this one. Tftc
A quick find in good condition. beautiful view as going over the hill crest. Tftc
I was all over the place again.
Lucky that Sharon14 spotted it from the car.
Out caching with Sharon14

We had tidied up Churchill and surrounds with smiles all around.... until there were released so it was nice to have some more close to home caches to find.

Was around the area so l thought l should finish this series found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
Took the drive to Churchill today to see if we could lessen the number of unfound caches we had there. After 3 hours, we had put a big dent in the numbers and converted them to smiley faces. Not one DNF today from all we found, which we're happy with.
Thanks to the CO for this placement.

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
I’m currently working on a Project-GC challenge to get the average word count on my logs over 200 words.
So please ignore the rest of this log as it is just nonsense and song lyrics.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she, had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well, It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could hear the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful, when
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
Well I'm a-runnin' down the road try'n to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that want to own me, two that want to stone me
One says she's a friend of mine
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy
Lighten up while you still can
Don't even try to understand
Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy
Well, I'm a standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flat-bed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
Come on, baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
We may lose and we may win, though we will never be here again
So open up I'm climbin' in, so take it easy
Well, I'm a runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, she's so hard to find
Take it easy, take it easy
Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy
Come on baby, don't say maybe
I gotta know if your sweet love is gonna save me
Oh, we got it easy
We oughta take it easy
Cache is fine.
Thanks

Had a spare hour after work.
I decided to go and find some local caches.
No cows today just a few bull ants to contend with.
A quick find was made and the log book was duly signed.
Scrat visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

YAY - found Double the View this afternoon . This was practically a drive-by as I'd parked very close to it . If I was just a tad closer, I could've just opened my drivers door and reached out to retrieve it! Thanks Mummy Short Legs for setting this one up for the LV Event.
PS: The Troll Dolls (TN6TR0) visited Double the view this afternoon with me

With a morning of freedom I decided to find as many of this series as I could and, to show my true dedication, I did it straight after a gym workout, in rain showers and 14 degrees!
Well I do like a nice straight forward find and this was certainly that, although after reading the hint I realised just how hungry I was! And now all I can think of is this delicious treat. Must be time for a coffee break. Cache in good condition, all signed and tucked away. TFTC

Our "short legged member" sat in the car while I searched.
A quick find.
Has become rather windy so it is excellent that the cache has no blown away!
Thanks Mummy Short Legs.

Catching up with late logs
We had set aside a few days to explore Gippsland with alansee endeavoring to aid him reaching 30,000 finds before the Queanbeyan mega event at Easter.
We visited rail trails, parks, mountains seeing beautiful scenery along the way as well as enjoying some lovely walks as well as some easy drive bys. The weather was mostly kind to us enabling us to search for the caches in comfort.
This mini series was definitely on our list of caches to look for today and we enjoyed picking them all up on some nice country roads.
Thanks SKI Pair for the cache.

It was another quick drive out today on this well-travelled circuit to collect yet another cache and cross of a further day on our Calendar. Much is our least cached month, but we are steadily managing to fill in some of the gaps!
No-one much about at our caching time so we were able to pull-off into the area just off the road and then begin the search. The GPSr had the wanders a bit with the trees and cloud cover, but we soon managed to spot something suspicious.

This cache series has been on our wish list since the recent LV event. With extreme heat and fires recently we decided to find a quiet spot for some caching. This weekend provided better weather conditions for caching. Thanks for the cache.
Camped at Gormandale after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Third for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
A quick find on our drive before heading back to camp stopped for a bite to eat in the shade
