Following lunch in humid stormy conditions we set off on a long bike path walk. All caches found with nice coords. A few trads found as well. Log signed as VIC1. Found today with maccamob, Muzza, Alansee, micaparamedic, Rabbitto, Mclookers and ThePacman. Day 2 and weather threatening. Thanks Harrowang
Out today around Harrietville with Alansee, Feathertop, Maccamob, Rabbitto, Pacman, Micaparamedic and McLookers, concentrating mainly on finishing the SNOMO caches before lunch, then F.L.A.K.E., with a few others along the way. All caches found in good order. Signed or stamped as Vic1.Many thanks to Harrowang for the cache.
Found by Mary and David with the VIC1 group. Today we started with the Bon Accord track caches and several others around Harrietville. After lunch at the pub, we headed out of town to tyackle the F.L.A.K.E. cache, which we completed. We found few Trads and multis along the way, and finished the day with an Event at the Bright pub. Our thanks to Ronice88.
Second day with a Group of cachers who also collaborated on the puzzles. We had a most enjoyable two days in the area. Many thanks for all the caches. Signed as Vic1.
Found today on day 2 of our Snomo and Flake series in company of maccamob, Muzza, Alansee, micaparamedic, McLookers, feathertop and ThePacman. Log signed as VIC1. This was found on our afternoon walk through the Flake series. Thanks from D B-A
Fuelled up after lunch. Log signed as VIC1. Found today with maccamob, Muzza, Alansee, micaparamedic, Rabbitto, feathertop and ThePacman. Thanks for placing the cache Harrowang.
Despite giraffe_legs protestation that he should have to get this one, he begrudgingly did as he was told and grabbed it. Thanks for the cache
We had asked our niece about the weather up here and she said it can be warmer in summer and cooler in winter so we waited thill the weather was cooling down a bit in Melbourne and on the spur of the moment on Saturday we booked a place for Mon-Thur! After taking pretty much a whole day to get here yesterday and catching up with our niece late arvo there was no time to do any caches here yesterday so we made up for it today!! We headed north out of Harrietville and found quite a few F.L.A.K.E. caches and then heading back into town we stopped to find this one on the way. Nice easy find. Dropped TB. TFTC Harrowang - GJMMelb
Looked in a few wrong places, and when the GPS stopped stuffing about, we spotted this one in plain sight. Thanks for your work once again Harrowang.
Found during a morning stroll. Thanks for showing that nice place to a Swiss tourist family.
Out and about today exploring Harrietville with Grannan55 and Geodogs. What a beautiful river. It is a lovely place to stop and enjoy the atmosphere. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TNLN TFTC
After a few years away from bushwalking I hitched to Harrietville (missed the bus because I downloaded the winter timetable instead of the summer one). With a 17kg pack on my back and an extra 30kg excess weight on my body, I headed off to Smoko Camp. It was so cool after the heat of Wangaratta, tonight should get down to 10C. I love that Geocaching lets me stop for lots of little rests. Continuing downhill tomorrow.TFTC!
After a few hour driving, we stopped for food and a cuppa. Now we are ready to start finding some caches.A lady walking a dog, ask us if we were geocaching due to us waiting near ground zero.Out caching with DGgeoThank you the hide Harrowang
Found with gwd.aussie.A quick park and grab after a coffee and bakery stop. On our way over the mountains to tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon. Thanks Harrawang
I was out with kbucky today to collect the majority of the SNOMO series. It was a beautiful day to be walking along the Bon Accord track. The numerous bird calls really added to the magical atmosphere of this lovely setting. We had a very busy day, walking over 13km's and then a quick bike ride along the Great Alpine road to collect some of the F.L.A.K.E series and any others that were available to be found. It was a coincidence that I met a local woman hiking on the Bon Accord track and then I met her again, and her husband, on the bike trail as they were also riding. We were surprised to cross paths twice in the same day. This was quite an easy find
Well after the organiser of the CITO decided to waylay herself in Wang Hospital by jumping on sticks, Cybergran needed a lift to the CITO and due to being easily persuaded I went with ampitup1 and Cybergran-V to Harrietville and after the quiz we settled down to puzzle solving. We parked at the CITO spot and looked out of the window to spot a cache. Well sign we did and then started the weeding.
A quick P&G on our way through today after a night in the high country.TFTC
An unplanned trip to Harrietville to attend the cito and event. We were first to arrive at the Cito, and there just happened to be a cache just where we parked. The cache was spotted from inside the car, which made for an easy find. Found with Lillieb05 and cybergran V.
Thanks Harrowang for placing my favourite type of container here at such a pretty spot.Found with a group of other cachers before we began the long walk along the river for the CITO.Such a beaut area, hopefully they can eventually control the blackberries, but certainly there were many thistles and stickyweed to be removed
Loving all your caches Harrowang, quality coords, caches and stories.thanks for making my journey in your country a great experience.regards kbucky
After kayaking at Lake William Hovell yesterday, Bemused Keith and I came to Harrietville to attend some events, and visit a few caches. This was a quick find by Keith, but the container was infested with ants. Hundreds of the little blighters! After Keith convinced them to defongerate, I stepped up and signed the log. Thanks Harrowang
Heading back into Harrietville on our bikes again today. The coffee was great, so happy to do it again, even though it is a cool start.
An easy find at GZ but a great trail to enjoy.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

On our way up to Harrietville today meeting up with family members. Keen to complete a few caches whilst up there, didn't get a chance to collect any from the SNOMO series but that leaves a reason to visit this lovely little town again.
Geokids had soon retrieved this one before I even got to GZ.
TFTC!

Day 3 of our high country tour. The GPS was a bit our here, so lots of limbo and cobwebs, before what was eventually an easier find. Thanks
Found after finding another couple of caches nearby. Driving past and pulled up to make a nice quick find of a good sized cache. TFTC
A quick easy find on the way home from Mount Hotham thank you for the hide everything is in great condition
Found with LittleBoss2 on our week in Bright and surrounds. Thanks again Harrowang for placing these for our drive to Harrietville. Tupperware ammo can, what next?
The OSHFAM clan including geo dog Roxy came up to Punkah for a few days to spend time in our shack before school starts next week. On Saturday lunchtime, I sent the family home and Roxy and I stayed on for an extra night on our own enjoying caching adventures in Harrietville together. We arrived around 2pm and didn't get back to the shack til 9.40pm exhausted. We had the best day.
This was to be our last stop and cache for the day. It was dark with the moon in the sky and I was exhausted. But the lure of "one last cache" was irresistible. I was a little hesitant putting my hands in to extract the cache and used an implement to do so. The cache and log is in good condition. A good sleep back at Punkah awaits us now.
Thank you for the cache here Harrowang

We headed into Bright today from our mountain stop accomodation to stock up the pantry for our last couple of evenings before we start heading home.
Researching a few caches, we spotted names of cachers from back home that had been through the area in the previous couple of days. It's a small world to see cachers from the next suburb at home in the next town when you're out of towners.
Cache was found with Crzymelly, TeamPQS & JustWanderingAbout
Continuing on the road, a larger cache was needed, what better way than to find an ammo can. We pulled over, and amongst the walkers and cyclists, the cache was soon located. The legals were carried out, and cache returned as found.

Found with Jondub while riding the Bright to Harrietville rail trail. The trackable was a great surprise TFTC
Visiting Victoria with my geowife, Curloo, for our 30th anniversary. Enjoyed this find. Thanks.
Time for a check on this one as we head over Mt Hotham to Gippsland. Wiped out the moisture, left pencil and Tardis TB at 1.00pm All good now.
A trip from Canberra, ACT to Whittlesea, Vic with a few side quests for LGAs. TFTC.
A nice quick find here between cycle groups.

What a lovely spot to enjoy the river flowing under your feet. The cache was a little damp so left it open in the sun to dry while we soaked up the ambience!

Grand final day - While visiting family in town, I went for a walk early. No muggles around, found quickly. I didn’t have a pen on me so I will log into book later.
Great cache, beautiful place.

After geocaching for a few years, this is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone else out geocaching. And there were two different groups in two caches!!
Had been riding from Bright to Harrietville and were in our way back. Good quick find at this one. TFTC

A fun late summers evening geocaching … great spot and easy find at last of a Harrowang cache! Haha Everything in good condition. TFTC!
A quiet morning after the rain and I went out to get a few caches while the kids slept. A good place here and nice container.
The cache was found in good condition with spot on coords. Thanks to Harrowang for the placement, fun and adventure.

Found! First cache on our trip to bright. Been doing lots of mountain biking and haven’t had enough time to do any geo’s. Hopefully we can squeeze some more in before we leave back to melbs tomorrow. After finding and logging, sat on the nearby bench and enjoyed the serenity. Tftc

Heymissjo and I had enjoyed going up and down from Falls Creek and were now on our way to Hotham.
As we approached Harrietville, she suddenly urged me to pull over...
An attribute HMJ needed was here!
Okay, so we pulled off the road and noted a bunch of names relevant to HMJ's family.
Rather weird...
And then the cows tried speaking to us in Moo-inese, but we weren't fluent in that.
But where was the cache?
Not in the first spot we looked, nor the second.
Ahhh, there it is!
Facepalm applied.
Very nice find.
And such a gorgeous little meadow to search in. I can understand why there is a bench seat here overlooking the stream which, today, was dappled in golden late afternoon sunshine.
Thanks to Harrowang for helping HMJ towards fulfilling another challenge.
I've never been to Harrietville before. I missed my Grade 4 camp here, so it was nice to finally get here some 35 years later.

As The Welder headed to Hotham, I was just checking out the area and the cache as we passed through this town! Oh so many to chose from! What sparked my interest on this cache was the ‘tourist friendly’ attribute attached to it, one of my few missing attributes!
The Welder made the find on this quickly and as he was signing it, I got distracted by some unsettling news back home. Covid is tough, even now we have less restrictions. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache!

This is the last leg of an unexpected journey that took us to Canberra, Goulburn, Wagga and now we are wandering our way home still trying to pick up as many Adventure labs as we can and of course anything else that is nearby.
We were in Harrietville picking up caches but we were totally bike less. We still thought that we would have a go at this one because it looked like something we could walk to and we are really happy that we did as it is in a very nice area and the great sized container. We will bring our bikes back in the future to try our luck at the rest. We added our name to the log and retuned everything as it was.
Thanks again Harrawong for the cache.

Hot walk along the track and great to stretch our legs after travelling. Sealed path, new bridges, not a sole in sight, enjoyed the cooler shadier areas, found the caches along the way and then off to set up camp. TFTC
#17745. The coolest day of several hot days coming up so Robmc and I took the bicycles to Harrietville for some riding and cache collecting. An absolutely fantastic day collecting 16 caches plus the new Adventure Lab and riding 30km around town. Most enjoyable and it was nice to be back in a little village I first visited many moons ago and that I like a lot.
We have parked the car at the nice little park central to town and unloaded the bikes to start our exploring. Made our way to this one and signed it at 10.59am. So nice to see the clear water flowing past.
Thanks Harrowang

BettyBoo3747 and I loaded up the deadly treadlies and set off for Harrietville.
We started with the H2B series and then the AdLab, and a few others around town.
Dropped the car off at Pioneer Park and unloaded the bikes.
Headed north and this was our first cache on the trail.
And a good sized cache it is too, no micros here!
Thanks, Robmc.

sjg66 and I were staying at Bogong Village (which I recommend) for a few days and decided on a day trip to Harrietville. We enjoyed the variety of caches along the way. Thanks for the CO's for hiding them.
We were on our way back from Harrietville and I asked if we could stop on the way past this cache for a look. It was a surprise to find a cache of this size here. I was also surprised by how well it blends in. TFTC
I have all these good intentions of writing a good log that says far more than TFTC but life just keeps getting in the way! Damn it! So I'm going back through and finding all those that I wrote TFTC or FLTF on and at least editing and noting that I had good intentions but apologising I didn't follow through and instead you get this copy and paste log!
Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for one reason or another ( date, size, location, convenience, challenge or what not) I have selected it to find and I appreciate that it was here!
TFTC and I promise the next log you get from me I'll write something much better! Cheers TT

We parked nearby, walked back to the bridge and spotted a tell-tale sign marking where the cache could be located. And it was!
