Thanks Tasilee for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Meehan 24, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #2071 at 08:08 on 12/10/2024. FTF: Found with: selfWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Last one of seven found for the day with Father. A super nice walk along flat ground, just about to get to the downhill bit now Had to approach from the right angle, but once that was done it was smooth sailing. TFTC!
Today Zozetta and I went caching in the Meehan ranges, starting the day at Flagstaff Gully Road where we collected information for a multi. We then drove to the main parking area for the Meehan ranges, where we collected some more information for that multi and attempted two other caches, although the track to one of them was closed and the other was a DNF. We then drove to Belbins Road, and by this time we had been caching for almost two hours but still hadn’t found any caches for the day, so we were relieved to finally find one there. We then walked to the summit of Flagstaff Hill, finding several more caches along the way. We then walked back down the other side of the hill to find a couple more caches, and then walked back to the car. In total we walked 16.5Kms, found thirteen caches and had two DNFs.
This was one of six caches that we found in the Meehan series today. We enjoyed this series, and the walks to the caches, all of which were quick finds, except for one DNF on number six. All the caches in this series that we found were dry and in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Tasilee!

TFTC!!! Lovely hike up to this! Almost away from the noise of the highway and the birds are wonderful.
We Vikings are not so suited for this Overland hiking. The boat was very hard to get up the hill.
Thank you so much for an awesome hike with beautiful views

Find #12912
In Tassie for a few days with beckNmonts and Earthbound Chief. Have been having a ball and continued along our merry way with some fun cache finds.
Day 3 was about challenge caches and picking up some of our solved puzzles.
Today was a bit of a tougher day with some difficult climbs up some mean hills. Found lots of great caches with full size log books and even managed to see a rainbow over the harbour.
Massive thanks go to Tasilee for placing this one.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2022?*

We have realised that we have nowhere near enough time to find all the puzzles we have solved for this trip. So what will we do? Focus on mainly challenge caches that required no solving! What did ahomburg, Earthbound Chief, The Morris, myself and nominally Mazda StarBounceSky, the Standard Poodle, spend all those hours solving for? I suspect it’s because we are strange and enjoy it (seriously, thank you for placing them CO’s).
Earthbound Chief, ahomburg, Mazda and myself started the day at our now “regular” breakfast spot, to caffeinate for the day, then headed off again with our gratefully borrowed fishing pole and ladder! (Please hit us up in Vic, I’m happy to return the favour)
Thanks for the caches and puzzles we have had fun solving, Tasilee

Found while out on a walk with Ahomburg and BeckNmonts on a day where the weather couldn’t decide if it was going to be sunny or grey and rainy…can’t ruin a good walk though.
I can tell you why they are called push bikes.
I pushed it most of the up here.
Found the cache a little further downhill but still within the fudge factor.
Thanks for the cache!

After a quick jog up the steep hill (yeah right) found this one after a few minutes.
Wanting to get Meehan's 1 and 25 on my way back towards Meehan 24 i was just too spent [B)]
Meehan 24 was next. Found and it's log signed at 13:31 on Saturday 1 May 2021 and what a day it is... great for Mountain Bike riding and Hiking as so many others encountered today proved it so. What people i didn't see i sure heard in other parts of the hills and valleys here [^]
Out in their droves they are
The cache and contents are in great shape

After walking up the hill part way we carried on to grab a few of these 'new' caches, at GZ both my and the gooses GPS's were all over the place but we found it in the end.
Thanks for the cache.
We were up this way to look in on 1TOOLMANs cache as it's needs a bit of love and he cant come down since he is trapped in dirty Victoria at the moment.
Found on 18/07/2020 at 10:34:00 AM thanks to Tasilee for placing this cache for me to find.

After promising that stainless steel rat and I would look in on playtime for 1toolman we decided as we were half way up this damn steel hill we should keep going. A mountain biker was zigzagging his way up and we crossed paths a number of times before reaching the top.
The signal was a bit flaky as the compass showed 2m away so we searched a few places with no luck before widening the search. When I finally called out to SSR that I had found it we let the compass settle and it showed 2m again and we were at least 10m from where we had 2m before.
Damn fickle technology [B)]
Thanks Tasilee

Found while on a bushwalk with a granddaughter and her friend. A good team so this cache was quickly found. Thanks Tasilee.
So what do you do after you do support all day for the Cadbury Marathon, you take to family and your wife on a small walk. Well that was the plan, unfortunately I didn't really plan it well. The walk was already longer and much steeper and wilder than expected. Then on the return circuit every path we wanted to take seemed blocked. In the end, the family went to the closer car park, while I ran back to the car, completely pushing thru the bush.
Took a little bit to find this one, but more because we were looking in the wrong place.
Thanks for the cache Tasilee

Well, with my mother away, I decided that today was the day to tackle the Meehan range.
I started at the end of Belbins road and started along the track and up the first hill, first of many. My 18.01 km walk (including walking up 202 flights of stairs) found 9 caches and his one cache. The first caches found were the Meehan series. Then I went on to the trig at Craigow hill. The views from here were amazing. So amazing I placed a new cache that will be released shortly.
Then on to the cache at rocky Meehan walking through the back tracks across the tops of the ridges. The tracks at times was hard to follow and seemed to disappear in a few places. Finally arrived at rocky Meehan which had been a aim to get for a long time. Then it was another walk up a hill(I was sick of going up by now) to a nice series along the ridge. Finally down to the challenge cache that I have not qualified for yet, but I signed the log in advance.
The last walk down the hill was very hard, it was steep and slippery. I think by the time I got back to the car, I was more shuffling than walking. A huge day out and great that this cache could be part of it. Tftc

Hi Tasilee, thanks for these new caches, adding to your series. There are still quite a few ofvthe earlier ones that I'm still to find though. Tonight AlbyDangles found himself in town with some time to kill before wevwere heading out to dinner. So he swung by and picked me up and we umed and ahed about what we'd do, and soon it was decided that we would head out this way to see what we could find. We huffed and puffed (well, I did) up the hill and after checking a few spots, this cache soon came to hand, log signed, cache replaced, and we were off to the next one. A nice spot for a walk tonight, in great company. Three joint finds with AlbyDangles tonight. THANKS!

Mr W went to the Meehan Ranges to locate the 3 newly published caches that have appeared since his last visit. Mr T from Tassie Trekkers went along also. Only spotted one snake for the trip. Good coords, good hides. Nice to be walking in the area again. TFTC
While out about with Whitewebbs and headed to the Meehan Range Recreational Area to find caches published since our last visit.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A late night call from Antarctic Expeditioner daughter, at Casey Base, to tell us that she would be flying back to Hobart on Saturday as the winds were abating and the plane would be able to land meant an early start for us this morning.
We arrived in Hobart with plenty of time to spare so after finding a couple of the new 63ROOS caches Mr Y'stassie dropped Mrs Y'stassie at the start of the Meehan Reserve so that she could look for the latest additions to this series while he chased down the remaining 63ROOS caches.
Mrs Y'stassie decided to head up hill through the open bush rather than dodge the weekend mountain bikers roaring around the tracks in the area she needed to be. It was a steep but enjoyable walk and she was soon close to GZ. Her GPS was a little unsteady so she expanded her search area and, using the hint soon had uncovered the well hidden cache. Her GPS was indicating 9m N of GZ. The cache and contents were in very good condition.
Thanks for this cache Tasilee. Mrs y'stassie enjoyed visiting this part of the reserve today.

Out on a cool but fine day for a walk around the Meehan ranges for a few caches. Had to widen my search area to about 10 meters before I found the cache. Cache and contents all good. TFTC

Thanks for the cache Tasilee. The GeoGSP and I love walking the tracks and trails in the meehan range so a few new caches here provided a reason for a visit. After arriving home from work I loaded the GeoGSP in the car and we headed off. I wasn't sure how many of the three we would have time to find given there was some much needed rain predicted but was pretty sure we would at least get to the first one. We made good time to GZ and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for adding to the series, cheers.
Hi Tasilee
Had to go to the big smoke this morning and after finding two caches in Hobart; completed business on the Eastern Shore but it was raining there and caching would have been uncomfortable so drove down to look for a cache at Primrose Sands.
That done, I returned to the Eastern Shore where I found Meehan 23 and then started looking for this cache as the rain had dissipated
Dry as when I arrived so enjoyed the walk to GZ
I took a direct route to the cache over an older track; certainly not as clear as the route I should have taken but definitely faster; I THINK!
A quick search soon had the cache to hand, which was Sainted at 1343 hours
TFTC and cheers

My finds: GCA 3522; GC 3612; TOT 7134

Yay, FTF. The sunrise was amazing, but mostly gone as I arrived. The last 15m are tricky with jelly legs from the climb. But found an cache with an empty log.
Saw the publication last night and decided that the dark and the bush fire smoke (plus the hill climb and 2 hour projected time to complete) made it a "wait and act" proposition.
This morning the smoke stopped the usual early morning brightness so up a little later than planned. Checked the caches and no finders as yet. Off to the walk start point and there was a car, oops maybe too late! Still no FTFs on the caches so off to start the walk. Just as the hill climb began this cache showed as found so decided to walk through to end first. Very smokey and eerie sun but great in the bush. Very quickly hit the correct location and completed the set. Now ready for a quicker walk down. Congrats to diadem on his 3 FTFs
