Find#1966Found today on our first day caching around Goulburn. Me and Shaneo58 are down here to work on some challenge caches near home in the Hunter valley and trying to claim some unique DTs to fill our grid also. After arriving here we made a quick find at Gz. Cache and log in good condition TFTC

Reperio 07:56Day 4 of our weekend getaway to Yass for a caching run, and after getting a better night sleep, we were up again early to hit the trails. We managed to fit in around 100 caches before having to head for home in Orange, but we had a fantastic 3 and a half days away non stop caching.Gratias ALL7As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

On a lone road trip from home to Canberra to pick up the missus, and as I was alone, I thought I’d try out this alternative route to Canberra that I’ve been wanting to try out for some time now. We often stop at Gunning on our Melbourne trips for a nice break and coffee at our now favourite cafe there, but to my dismay, the cafe wasn’t operating this morning due to a blackout. Never mind, there just happens to be a few caches between here and my destination, I’ll just have to pick up a few along the way.
It was at this point that I was very tempted to make a right turn and head up the lesser road filled with yummy caches! But unfortunately time was my enemy and I made this the last of the day. Again pretty much drove right up and was able to park safely. A quick squiz revealed the hide!

Today we visited a number of caches to the north of Murrumbateman. We enjoyed the areas through which we travelled but became frustrated with the number of caches that needed attention. We endorse the sentiments expressed by throsbyonchurch and completed maintenance on many.
Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a quick find. This cache was in reasonable condition. ALL7, we appreciate the efforts in planning and placing this series.

Headed out this way on a solo mission to add a few numbers to the calendar. No issues with the 10 caches found.
Thanks ALL7, good to clean up another part of the series.

This was a nice quick find in the expected place. Thanks for the placing this cache for us to find.
Catching up on some very late logs.
Day 2 of our planned assault on Canberra with the same group consisting of The Drovers, Phetlern, Micaparamedic,
Alansee GoodLook, and ourselves.
We had another busy but very enjoyable day chasing series caches and happily we found all we were looking for with no DNF's
We all had a fantastic day and would like to write more but as we have said when you do so many in such a short time it is hard to remember individual hides.
This in no means takes away from our appreciation to the CO's for all the effort, time and expense they have done to let us find so many caches.
As per the other two days we signed as "The Mob" to save room in the log books.
Many thanks /// for the hides and the fun.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks ALL7 (F=18985 H=1365) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Did this cache with a group who logged as THE MOB. All in all we were appreciative of the CO's efforts in putting them out. Apologies for the generic log but what can one do?
We stamped the logs as "The Mob" to save space in the logs - today there were 6 teams caching together: Team Crackers, The Drovers, Phetlern, Alansee, the lovely micaparamedic and myself.
Most of the cache finds were straight forward, yet a couple stumped us. A few were located where it was difficult to safely pull the car off of the road, but we made it work with some creative maneuvers.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.
Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.
Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! [^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.
A sincere thanks to ALL7 for placing these caches, including the enjoyable little series.

Out and about caching around Canberra while visiting from Brisbane. Thoroughly enjoyed going around the countryside and country roads. Found the caches and signed the logs. TFTC
Day #1: With a long weekend off, I decided on coming to Canberra for it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any accommodation for the Saturday night, so instead, I ended up with a single night but that doesn’t matter. I’m sure I’ll enjoy my Geocaching trip still. I started the Saturday with avenging some DNF’s as well as finding newer caches along ‘Sutton Rd’ to my accommodation in Queanbeyan. Yes, this did include finding the new AL in ‘Gundaroo’ which was great fun and full of history lessons to learn about. After finding these caches, I then booked into accommodation and have a late lunch. Afterwards, I decided on doing the new AL in Queanbeyan. I also decided on walking from my accommodation and visit some of the other caches around. After a rest and dinner, I went and did some night caching. Only two find for this and both were quick finds. Now time to get some sleep.
Day #2: After a great night sleep, I went to attack the GCA ALF trail and the Starwars Letterbox trail plus a few loose caches that were along the way. I started by re-attempting the new AL bonus cache in Queanbeyan but unfortunately, I needed to leave with a DNF again. Well, time to head over to the ALF trail and get started on my bush walk. I collected a couple before I got there. It took about 1h40m for the walk which was a lot, lot faster than when I did it back in 2016 for the GC version of these. It was great fun and full of great views… again. The area has changed a bit since last time. After having a break, it was time to start the Starwars trail. I drove to the end of the trail and worked my way back to the start of the trail. After this I knew I was nearby(ish) a cache that would fill in a gap in my Jasmer grid (May 2017). This is a rare month for me to find because the closest couple to my home coordinates were Canberra and Albury. These are 2.25h of driving each way (totalling 4.5hours) before finding caches and all other driving plus meals. In other words, a big day. It feels great to finally have this finally done. Now time for lunch. After lunch, I decided on collecting some more of the UGC caches, that I qualify for and then it was time to head home from my trip away.
All found caches were a mixture of both GC and GCA caches. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s

Streak day 69
Below is a blurb about us.
We are trying to get a badge from Project-GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to
get badges for adding photos to our found logs.
We Started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full time (living in a caravan), caching fits in well with this lifestyle.
It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone.
When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there to get the caches we want.

This auspicious date had been marked on our calendar for some time so we were particularly pleased to get some direction where we could achieve some high numbers for this once in 4 year occasion. We teamed up with local geocacher Albida for a relaxed but unrelenting day of finding caches. Lovely scenery and great hides. Our thanks to Albida and to ALL7 for adding to our enjoyment of the area.

We are doing a car caching day around Canberra with AngelG27, TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox. The challenge, to find 270+ in a day. Starting bright and early we are hitting mainly power trails from ALL7 and DSD which have been dominating my map as green for a while now. will be yellow now.
Thank you ALL7 for the cache and thank you AngelG for driving. Signed with stamp of the day or as TAFF.

I've dropped the GeoSchnauzers off for grooming this morning, and I'm filling in time before I can collect freshly shaved dogs. I decided a trip out this way is in order, for another string of your caches I've enjoyed the drive, particularly the bits near the Yass river. It's a great day for it and I have really enjoyed myself. I'm sorry for the generic logs, I don't have much time today. I have my lady's GeoCavoodles with me for the trip and a few walks.
Find no 11 of 25 today.

Today was a very pleasant warm sunny day and just perfect for a leisurely drive to collect some more of this series of caches. Thanks ALL7 for placing them all.
Off for another trip in the country to attack another ALL7 series. This was a really pleasant drive down a road which I had never before travelled and with little traffic to interrupt the search. Apologies for the generic log which in no way detracts from our enjoyment of the hunt. TFTC ALL7 and thanks for placing and maintaining this series. A FP awarded on behalf of today's effort.
Thanks for all these amazing series along beautiful country roads ALL7. Fantastic scenery and good fun finding all the caches. TFTC.
A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. High winds, cold, sleet, rain, mush, icy, snow, we had it all! But we endured, and had a fantastic time regardless. Did I mention that it was cold? Bone chillingly cold. I am not sure my fingers have as yet recovered! Some roads were even closed due to snow, curtailing our route and resulting in some last-minute changes.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

A very chilly couple of days in and around the ACT with The Rats and Hoojar- most of the time the temperature didn't peak above 4 degrees! Amongst the sleet, rain, wind and cold however we made plenty of finds on mainly a number of power trails. TFTC!
Headed out for a caching run with steeba and Hoojar that had a bit of everything. These caching runs are planned months in advance and to-date have been perfect. This trip was no different – except for the influence of the WEATHER. A weekend in the Canberra hills that had howling winds, driving rain, sleet, hail, snow, frozen body parts slippery icy tracks, closed roads and temps that never got higher than 6 deg by day and were subzero all night, but alas we had a great boys weekend caching.
Apologises for the generic log but it doesn’t detract from the caching fun, except for the WEATHER which played a major part in our weekend. Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

#9394 - 3:20:00 PM; After collecting the last piece of evidence yesterday, I started to hunt for gems in order to solve the 'Mystery at the Museum'. Picked up a couple more this morning, before setting out on a beautiful winter afternoon to see if I could complete the set along Yass River Road, adding more caches from ALL7's cacher cache series. Only saw a couple of other vehicles and muggles along the way and managed to find 16 out of 16 caches. All were found in good order. Managed to collect the remaining gems I needed as well as a few extras for good measure. Mission accomplished TFTC ALL7
After a foggy start to the morning it cleared out to be a lovely day to be out and about for a number of caches that trail towards Yass. I started the series too long ago, and have even made this a 'good' place for a daily find... yes, it was easier to get out to a few of the closer to town ones at times! So today we set out to see what we could get done.
As it happened we managed to get all of the caches in the area that we needed and made a good day of it too. The roads were quiet and made stopping quite good, a little local traffic but not much and the coordinates seemed good and caches easily found. The lambs were about, a lot of alpacas, a free roaming ram and a few locals that saw nothing!
Thanks for the cache ALL7, another one complete and SO many more to go!

Today was a wonderful day cleaning up some of the missing caches on some various power trails around Yass. We had permission fro the CO to replace any we found missing, which thankfully was just a few.
Nearly all caches found in good order on the coordinates. Everytime I start to think I am running our of trails there seems to be another new one.... in fact I need to make sure I can keep up!

On our way home from the Oz Geomuster 2019 - The Gong! We had some time to kill and thought about smashing out a series or two on the way home to Melbourne. We followed the Australian Animals Series from Collector to Gundaroo - the weather turned a little nasty but we had fun anyway! Then we decided to keep the train rollin' along a few more dirt roads and backroad highways. Our thanks to all of the cache hiders for these cool caches along roads we'd never travel otherwise.

As my daughter had a party at home to which I wasn't invited I decided to stay the night elsewhere and hoping to find my house in one piece tomorrow. Drove all the way to Collector and then Gundaroo to start this part of the trail to Yass. As I started late I only just made it to Yass before it was pitch dark. Good fun on much more busy road then expected. Had to use stealth a lot of times. All caches found well and thanks for placing them!

Specimen X logged her first geocache in September 2012, and hasn't exactly been sitting around watching the grass grow since! She has now made 9,600+ finds, created 98 hides and attended 86 events. Along the way, she has had a 507 day streak, made 1,000 finds in one month (April 2014) and found 2520 caches in a year (2015). That quite some effort!

I really enjoyed being out in the country this weekend. It's interesting watching the landscape change, with soil becoming more fertile towards Yass, and seeing the change with rainfall. Thanks for the trail All7.

Today we were only able to tackle part of the extensive number of caches along the roads named after so many caching teams.
