A short walk to the cache looking at the tracks left in the drying lake. Thanks for the cache Freddo the non believer.
Today StreetWalkerNZ and I are exploring Yorketown and some localities further east, using caches as our tour guide.Another pre-solved multi and a short pleasant walk to GZ where SW had already found the cache by the time I had caught up. I love the way the church has been decorated, very cool. Now off to get a coffee. TFTC.
#24659. Drove a bit further to a car parking area. Then a short walk to GZ and a quick find. Interesting area. TFTC.
The 3 Stooges are hitting Yorkes Peninsula again, WayneAPN, weredunn4 and myself, looking to knock off more of the Gone Fishing Series.Any other caches of interest will be tackled along the way too of course I had to check this out Friday night, but its been 13 months since we last tackled this series as a grouptoo long Our trips away are always a bundle of fun, ranging from abundant dad jokes, banter, hatching plans of future trips, crap being thrown around about weredunn4s 2 minute loo (I mean poo) stops , baked bean talk and the list goes onSuffice to say, these are always great trips away All caches found and stamped. Any caches needing maintenance, we did our best to restore them to good health whether that be an additional log or new container. Thanks to all the COs for the caches we found this weekend, without you we dont have this game TFTC
Hitting Yorke Peninsula once again, Cheezel1961, Weredunn4 and myself, looking to knock off more of the Gone Fishing Series. As well as caches of interest we stumble across. Maintenance being performed on any that needs it.Banter, Dad jokes and ribbing occurring in abundance on our trips away. This trip was no exception.TFTC SL
With a lack of fish in the ocean and the windy weather making it uncomfortable for interstate foreigners on the water, decided to head to Yorketown to tick off a few multis and other assorted caches. Took a few sunday non-believers with me on a crusade to collect the church info. The prediction of blood sacrifices or lightning strikes failed to appear as I scampered to the relative safety of the cache hide. Found a new cache in place at GZ and assume the CO was loitering in the area from some of his recent finds. Thanks Freddo for this church multi.
No find for us at our calculated final location today. The checksum worked for us.
TFTC. Messaged Freddo as we were in the area and did he want us to replace? Yes!____________________________________ Containers/logs all in good repair unless otherwise stated. Our numbers satisfied the checksum, but when we reached the very likely-looking GZ, we found an out-of-place stone on the ground, but the cupboard was bare. Nothing found with an expanded search either. Our thanks anyway to Freddo.
The Rats had to go over to Visit the Senior Rats.
We had sometime to spare before they would be home.
So ventured down to Yorktown.
We gathered our info did the sums.
A quick find at GZ. TFTC

More of our annual birthday caching trip, Purrfect Di, Mattycat and Jack too coming along for the ride...
This year we've cleaned out Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park and then some surrounds. Something I started back on new year's eve 2012/2013 with two of my sons!
Now we're expanding across some of the peninsula's foot. While also sightseeing and relaxing a little too!
The weather has been quite mild for January, only one snake sighting, some emus, a roo, foxes, bunnies, and two bulls on the roads! All making for a fun trip.
And... we found your caches. Signed the logs. Made the smileys on the map .
Cache found with minimal impact to nearby players...
Praise be to Freddo for planning and maintaining this cache on our ever growing SA cache map!
---
Travelling all over wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Heaps of the luck stuff really !!!
*Most of the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course*.**
---
Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]

Staying in Yorketown caravan park for a few days, just to get away from our normal routine. The area looks wonderful at present after all the rain this year. First things first - visit to the Yorketown bakery (food and clothes, but no fishing gear for a change!!), then a few caches around town. Another well constructed multi. Tftc Freddo.
A couple of hours caching towards and in Yorketown.
Many thanks for this one Freddo

Well now I know why I thought I was at 300 before I hit 300 caches, got this one a few months back on a walk. Obviously didn’t log it. Thanks for the cache.
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Our first day on the YP and time to Go Fishn and pick up other caches along our route. TFTC.
A very chilly and wet day out caching with iluvtrekking. After doing the Gone Fishin series we collected others along the route. Thanks for the hide Freddo
Out caching solo today with the 2 dogs on a day with unpredictable weather - had solved this one the other day so today was a nice walk around the lake - quick find. TFTC
Yorketown is done and dusted and religion has clearly deserted this town.

Whacko four in a row, and boy do I need Multis, thanks for another towards the 1000 Multi challenge, now back to Minlaton with feathertop
We are making our way to Clare for the JLWE and have decided that we would spend a week
on the peninsula, checking out what has changed since we were last here and caching, we have also managed to finish the new, to us Gone Fishn' caches, and many others. We love these simple multi's and being bought to these lovely buildings. SL TFTC

Not the Wangaratta Event. Instead it was the Yorke Peninsular with Sal. Today we did the Salt Lake Tour from Yorketown and of course stopped to make a few finds as we were passing.
Another used2b, another set of numbers, more calc's and off to Gz where we had a pleasant walk around one of the salt lakes stops. Dodged a few golf balls and people wielding golf clubs with apparent malice until we made it to a certain tree. Once there a quick find was made. Sal enjoyed all the mosaics to look at during the walk.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today Mr Tardis went out for a caching run in the southern half. I did a section of the Gone Fishing trail, and found lots of old and new caches on the way there and back.
I'm happy to report that I found this cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Day 2 of our break on the Peninsular staying at Edithburgh. With the bored and not interested better half Mr Adder only had minutes at each GZ to make a find. Some were quick while others exceeded the time limit causing angst to she who must be obeyed. Info gatheref, checksum confirmed the a find at GZ, tick. Thank you for the placement of the Used 2B a Church Micro #0032 cache Freddo the Non Believer find number 8564 on 1 November 2021 at 3:11 pm. The atheist Adders.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Another great day for caching. TFTC Freddo

Thanks for hiding. Caching with Wollaston and SeasonedBird and enjoying exploring the area.
A great spot for a final.
Day 5 of caching Gone Fishn’ trail on Yorke Peninsula and a few off trail trads today for a bit of variety with Wollaston and Liz&Bruce.
Wearing gloves and gators even though it’s cloudy and poured rain for most of the morning, it’s getting warmer and the less tourist friendly wildlife are on the move. Adding to the thrill of finding each cache was the view of perfectly grown cereal crops almost harvest ready forming a tapestry across the hills, some starting to crop with mega harvesters. Along the way were the odd blue tongue lizards, huge centipedes, camel statues, flighty spiders, horses and alpacas, birds nesting and singing away, the obligatory late afternoon flies, and the biggest beetles, and of course what would a cache day be without upsetting a few ants!
Today’s lunch was enjoyed at Edithburg, the afternoon was die Adventure Labs and the sun was finally out and the breeze light making our visit even more beautiful.
Our afternoon was eventful with some different wildlife, we watched a brown snake slither across the road at Marion, had a kangaroo race us at 50kph, even met some curious emus and their chicks, saw a school of fish near the shore and a huge pod of dolphins, what a great day!
So much effort has gone into setting up these trails, today’s trail was an easy run, pulling up and jumping out, spotting the rock, post or sticks and quickly on to the next one, unlike the previous days where a few caches were tricky to find, some were under bushes that are now trees, some were found in undergrowth that has overwhelmed the hide, some were under rocks when they were hinting to look in a bush or post or tree. For the rest, most were easy, some were duplicated and some were missing. We may have added to rock piles making a couple of cairns.
Maintenance was done by replacing full or wet logs and missing or broken containers all completed with CO permission.
Thanks to the many hands and minds taking time to set out hides and showing us your part of the world

While heading back to Yorketown with ilook4geo, we thought we would do some of the multi caches available in the area, including the ones in town. Information for each was easily gathered and containers at the final co-ords were quickly found. Thanks go to Freddo the Non Believer for adding this cache to the game.
Always happy to find and log some nice simple multi caches. This one gave no problem and the container was very quickly located and logged was stamped along with goingplaces2. Thanks for adding this cache to the game.
Found this with CherryRose. It was on the ground 9m away so returned to ground zero. Covered with cammo. TFTC TNLNSL
Found out with Beary Organised soon had Waypoints sorted & ff to locate Cache wasn't at GZ was found on the ground 9 metres away. All intact added TB & replaced at GZ . TFTC TNSL DROPPED TB Shetland Flag, please Log correctly & soon move on.
Found with SpidermonkeysMum on an epic cache collecting day for me. We enjoyed our walk here. More here than we thought. TFTC
Yay. Found it with SeaEagle. We started the day At Stansbury and headed over to do some micro puzzle finds to help me with a few challenges I am working on. This is the most sea eagle has done in one day, and I think I was very lucky to keep him interested for as long as I did.
Another challenge involves multis. 200 of them! I think this is 197. We really enjoyed our little wander around the final area. Somewhere we used to bring the monkeys when they were young but we couldn’t see past what they were doing. Some of The area certainly has been upgraded
Thanks for bringing us here Freddo.
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been set for October 2nd 2021 now. Have a look at GC82DAN.

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.
On my return back to Edithburgh, I had a small amount of time to make a few quick stops, with this cache being one of them. After visiting the repurposed church and acquiring the needed numbers, I took the short drive to GZ, where I made the quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14) the Non-Believer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

Around this time last year I headed across to the Yorke Peninsula to complete some of the geoart puzzle caches. This week I returned to the area to do some more.
Once again I was on my own and once again I was lucky with the weather with some very pleasant days.
I also took the opportunity to find some other caches including this one, to break up the monotony.
In all I found more than 300 Unknown caches, 18 Multis and 6 earthcaches over three long days of caching.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

After our big day yesterday we had a leisurely start today not getting up quite so early! Packed up, got all the caching stuff ready and checked out of the cabin then headed out to find another 40 of the Gone Fishn' series before heading down to Yorketown for a few puzzles we had solved, a few multis an Earthcache and some targeted trads along the way. [^]
Today wasn't so much about the numbers and we had a good day finding lots of caches in great spots...much more enjoyable than the power trails and Michells&hound found her 10,000th cache which had been her goal for the weekend. I hadn't any more goals for the weekend after finding my biggest one day number, so it was a relaxed afternoon.
After a relatively incident free couple of days today we had a few...maybe tiredness!! I came out reasonably well except for a big angry spider that didn't like me disturbing his home and gave me a little nip, nothing bad though. I also nearly stepped on a blue tongue lizard that was sunning himself right where I was walking.
We found all the caches we looked for but had to PAF a couple of times for one that had been moved with no updated coordinates and a micro on a gun!! We were very pleased when we found both of these. We ended the day with 66 finds which gave us a good number for the weekend and we were very pleased with ourselves.
The weather again was kind to us, quite a cold wind blowing for most of the day, but the rain held off until we were driving home. [^]
We gathered the info for this one at the same time as the other Used2B and after finding the other one we headed here where I had my close encounter with a big hairy spider who didn't like being disturbed and he didn't hesitate in letting me know he wasn't happy. We left him alone, found the cache and replaced it then went on our way.
Thanks for the cache Freddo.

It was a much more leisurely day today as we didn't plan on breaking any records (other than JJ52 getting more towards her biggest weekend and month records) and also getting off the power trail in the afternoon to enjoy some proper country caching, discovering a bit of history and getting some multis done.
It was a bit chillier today than yesterday but we were still lucky with the weather and other than a couple of showers we enjoyed blue skies and some sunshine. Perfect weather for caching.
We did see a lot more wildlife today, sheep, cows, horses and a sleepy lizard. Thankfully it was too cold for snakes to show themselves.
I was blown away by the pink lakes around Yorketown, the contrast of colours on the landscape with canola, blue skies, cloud and the rich pink of the lake was a sight to behold.
After checking out of the cabin and getting more petrol we collected another 40 trads on the Gone Fishn series and then off towards Yorketown for the 'proper' caching.
We did replace a few caches today but on the whole the caches we found were in excellent condition. Only one trackable found today which was exchanged for another.
Another enjoyable picnic at the Yorketown shelter and then headed back up the YP to Ardrossan where we found a few caches before heading back to Adelaide.
We hit some horrendous rain on the highway on the way home so it was good to have missed that whilst we ere caching.
JJ52 had a bit of a tussle with a spider that was not happy about the intrusion into their tree and gave Jude a bit of a nip. I tripped over some barbed wire but thankfully no damage done and also gave myself a ripper bruise on one of my fingers. I also nearly poked my eye out with my glasses (still sore today, reckon I bruised my eyeball!). I also left my stamp behind at a cache, and by the time I realised we were 70km away, gutted have only had it for a month or so!!! Hopefully another cacher might rescue it. Might need to order another in the meantime.
Once again my thanks to Fishy Tales for their epic series that we are so lucky to have on our doorstep, must have been a mammoth task setting it all up. Plus thanks to all the other cachers who caches we enjoyed on the peninsula today.
Thinking I may now be on course to break my own record for most caches found in a month, but need to keep going this week to achieve that.
Another nice Used2B in a town full of churches. This was where the spider nipped Jude. Thinking a young local has found this cache as there was some muggle writing in the log book. Replaced cache away from the grumpy spider and recovered. Hopefully this one lasts the journey. TFTC Freddo the Non Believer.

Found at 12:56 by Olga, with Luna helping, during a pleasant walk around the town.
We spotted a frog nearby (see pic)

After scoring on the new Used 2B in town had to come and find this one. Was a quick find where calculated when first published.
Thanks Freddo the Non Believer for another Used 2B

I used2B someone who travelled through the country casually glancing at buildings. Now I see Used2B’s everywhere. Oh to be innocent again. TFTC
Lot of churches in this town. Lots of potential here. Sunday school everyday?
Thanks Freddo the Non Believer and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Nice simple multi for us. Nice stroll to the cache. Some nice mosaics enjoyed along the way tftc
Quickly sorted and easily found at the final GZ !!! This could be fun to get to on certain days!!! Thanks Freddo for the hide!!
Found It!
Jesus has left the building. And with that many small screaming kids around, I can see why he left! After watching this cache sit here unfound for 10 days I just had to go for a Sunday drive and find it. After fixing an error in the integer part of the minutes I got a sensible looking GZ. A short drive latter I found the cache and got FTF at 3:15pm!
