It wasn't long ago that we were up here, in the rain.... and with today's forecast not looking much better, we packed raincoats and headed out again. In the not a drop fell and we managed a baker's dozen with just a single DNF, and a pair of DNFs avenged. A good afternoon really....
We missed this recently, despite the advice of 3 previous finders (who had found it some time ago). When we saw it had been found recently we reached out to a finder who gave us more precise instructions, and it still took a good search. Samuel, with his young eyes, managed to resolve the microscopic container lid as my scratching dislodged it.
I'll withdraw my NM for 'might be missing', and add one for 'log full, and wet'.

Found today while on a drive out to Branxton to do some caches for our found date grid thingy. Cool cache.

Well after many visits to this site we finally found this one, with help from a previous finder. Many thanks. Suggest you bring tweezers or long nails to get to the log. Very little space left, may need a new log soon.
I joined a trip to Maitland with Aquilus1, dty73, Tankengine, Barb2e, Kitty Katch & Joolay. The weekends main game was to do the dogs head series, but along the way we did some old caches around Sydney and did as many Maitland caches as time allowed. The return journey was via some old caches and some challenges that may or may not be met one day.
Day 2 was the dogs head series and three other series around Kurri Kurri. The R&D caches and many other Maitland caches are absolutely fantastic containers showing great creativity with new tools.
This was a real surprise, lots of DNF, but one of us (not me) persisted well into the lunch break and extracted this microscopic cache from its hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache DZtheDivisioners

Found with and signed the Capital Crunchers who are: dty73, Tankengine, Joolay, kittycatch, Albida33, Barb2e.
A four day caching trip up around Maitland collecting a number of caches of interest to suit everyone along for the fun. A lovely area, very scenic, green and lots of historic locations. Also some great caching to be done while in the area as well as on our way there and home.
The 'Dogs head' was a main focus of the trip, and took us the the best part of the day along with a few smaller trails and a few as we passed but a lovely scenic area to spend the day in. Most caches were straight forward finds, a few took a little search and others are great 3D printed designs or LARGE!
Great trail with some great caches found along the way. Stopped in here for a lunch break and to search out this cache, even with a previous finder this took ages, we had all given up to go eat when it was flung from its spot victoriously! so very sneaky and tiny DZthe Division.

A caching trip away with Kittykatch, Joolay, Aquilus1, Tankengine, Barb2e & Albida33 - the Capital Crunchers Gang!!
Tricky little bugger. The smallest container I have ever seen!! Even with all of us searching, it took a while before finally uncovering this one. I'm so glad we found it. Tftc DZtheDivision!!!

Very sneaky hide. A nice stop for lunch on a great day out caching. Signed as CC for Capital Crunchers. Tftc
DNF'd, despite phone guidance from 3 past finders.... I think it needs a CO check....
Caching in the company of GrumpyBump, on our slow, meandering way to the Mega event in Millicent, S.A.
We had a very long and thorough search (but obviously not thorough enough!!!) for this cache but still came up empty handed.
We read old logs, but that didn't help.
Another day.................

We camped at the rest area in Branxton with wazza9 and Nana Nel and ventured out to do some caching around the area. We enjoyed the variety of hides. This one was eenie, weenie and a meanie. Could not believe what we saw when we finally found the tiny sucker. Fav point alloc. Thanks to DZtheDivisioners for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
TFTC,
I joined Liz and Bruce & Nana nel for 2 days caching around the area. Our primary goal was to complete the Dogs Head Trail but there are plenty of other caches to try and complete across several towns.
Great to have such a variety of caches. From about #84 on to 90 it's been a walk in light showers but back in town, it's raining.
Thanks to Kingfisher_au for providing a trail where we could work together with other cachers and enjoy each others company while building numbers and learning about so many different breeds.
We came here first thing this morning and failed to find this. Having found another cache by DZtheDivisioners during our day out, we had to try again. Bruce found the other one and I saw this one. I wonder if I damaged it in the morning as it needs a slight repair now. I have advised the CO and am sorry if my earlier actions caused the problem.
Adding a favourite and visiting trackables.
Congratulations to Liz and Bruce for reaching 59,000 finds. We can only dream.

Started on this one this morning, with no luck, after finding another one like it on the Dogs Trail, we came back hopeful that we would be able to find it, Wazza9 found it quickly, that's what you call tiny. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to DZtheDivisioners for a great hide
There were too many muggles around to have a good search last time we were here, but upon returning today we found it. You really do need to trust your GPS - the cache is tiny!!! TFTC!
Lo tengo 1230hrs
Sitting there having lunch with geo-Nan, Cael and Declan, we were pondering the clue and staring at gz. Where could it be?
Then Declan pointed and said is that something unusual. He was right of course.
Such a tiny log but still plenty of room for more successes.

Found on 16/11/19.
Found with TeamSenz. Took a little while to find but after expanding our search area we Found it. Owner may need to check on this one as we think the camo has come off it.

This one was tricky to find. Seem the camo has come off this one, we assume it had some as it has glue on the container. Owner may need checking. Took photo if owner wants to see.
Not sure what to say about this cache. Our best advice is not to 'assume' about the location and think outside the square. We assumed and came up empty and as all good geocachers do, you sit and think and talk and look while you sit. OK it is not here where else could it be? Yep there. SL TFTC
An awesome distraction to keep us all amused whilst we had lunch. A very tricky cache. Was very satisfied when I finally put my hand on it!!! Found whilst out exploring Dogs head and the other trails about. TFTC!!
Dog’s Head has now become one of my new favourite trails!! So much creativity and diversity throughout. Thank you so much kingfisher_au for your time, energy and resources.
Tackled the trail (and some smaller surrounding ones) as part team Capital Crunchers (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, Nibletricecakes, Joolay and Roostaman) on our Maitland long weekend adventure. So glad we made the trek it has been truly delightful! As an added bonus we all hit a milestone (mine being 3000) AND racked up the most number of finds we have ever found in a day!! 310! An all round epic adventure. Thanks so much everyone.

Headed to the Maitland area with fitzy_1965 & SpecimenX for an extra long weekend of caching.
Day 2 saw us joined by nibletricecakes, Joolay & even Roostaman (who happened to be staying in the same campground as us by chance). Dogs Head Trail was our main aim with others collected along the way.
We deviated off the trail for lunch and a rest stop....couldn't leave without grabbing this cache. We were a bit blinded by the hints and other logs before calling out to a PAF. Not long afterwards Nibletricecakes came up with the sneaky find. Logs were either signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers, CC, Kapital Krunchers or KK.

18,967. Found as part of the Capital Crunchers Team (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, nibletricecakes, Joolay and Roostaman) during the Canberra Invasion of Maitland region over the long weekend.
As the others have said we stopped here for the amenities and for lunch - plus the thought of a bonus cache. Well we sure earned that extra one - we searched all over, but only to be directed elsewhere where the little sucker was found. Trust your cooords !
Thanks DZtheDivision !!

**# 25949** Found on the way back from our 2019 winter escape trip.
A cloudy Spring day for a drive around the Dogs Head trail with the Canberra crew.
We had a great big day and found all the caches and a few others as well.
Many muggles on the roads today and many good hides.
Logs signed or stamped as Canberra Crushers, CC and sometimes KK.
A nice lunch stop here and a bonus cache as well.
This one was very tricky and a fav point added from me.
Thanks for the cache DZtheDivisioners,

We decided to head over to this area for the amenities while working through the Dogs Head caches. But what a sneaky little cache. While it was found with Nibletricecakes, Fitzy1965, MinnieK, Specimen X, and Roosterman we did have to PAF. Nice place to stop for lunch as well.
Our logs are signed CC, Capital Crunchers or stamped depending who wrote them.
And now back to work on getting the Dogs Head completed.

A deviation off the Dogs Head Trail for us at this one. We searched for ages and ages before a PAF lead Nibletricecakes in the right direction for the find! Good work! We should have trusted our GPS's the first time and concentrated our search there! Signed as CC to save log space.
Thanks for the sneaky hide, DZtheDivisioners

Tiding things up and finally getting around to logging my DNFs
No find for us here today
No find for us here today
I’m clearly a glutton for punishment today. Standing out in cold winds chasing this COs caches all around the Valley is nuts!
This is the second time I’ve been here and the first was a halfhearted look as I was without the kids. Today I felt I looked a bit more like I belonged here and spent ages having a good look at where I thought it would be. Arggh. It wasn’t there.
Then I expanded my search and still had no luck. I must have practically poked/touched the cache at one point. Arggh.
In desperation I reached out to a finder and offered a suggestion of what I thought I was looking for based on what I had found elsewhere. Correct! Hmm. Revisited a few spots I had checked and sure enough! Lol. Clever.
Camo has separated from container now due to a bit of weather I would think. Needs a little TLC to keep it tip top. Well done. A very cheeky little hide. TNLN TFTC
FP for making me feel like a noob who missed this several times in his search.

with a log of knowledge from previous logs , we set about the task methodically and soon had the cache in had signed and replaced as found thanks for putting this out
Having found similar hides before we set to work and after trying to move something unexpected, the cache was revealed. Found with kingfisher_au while out in Branxton picking up a few remaining caches. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Muggles everywhere today so no chance for me to even have a look. Will come back with the kids and try again another day!
DNF at 11:15 AM.
There were a lot of muggles about, but we still gave it a good go with no idea what we were looking for or where to look.

That was crazy tiny. That I'm pretty sure is the smallest cache I've found. The incredible thing was we had found it within 5 minutes and in the dark. Might want to do yourself a favour and bring some tweezers to extract the log. Hint is absolutely spot on. Found with Naterater9. TFTC FP from me
Joint FTF with banj-ward. What a cache, here we were thinking it was missing but there it lay right in front of our eyes. Fav point from me.

Joint FTF with LMCassanova, I finished work and realised this new cache, so I came straight here. After looking for about 5 minutes, I heard the familiar sound of LMCassanovas motorbike. Together we spent quite a while looking, but not coming up with a find. With more than a little help from the CO the cache was in hand, and log signed. TBs visited, I owe a Fave Point for this when I have more, TFTC, Brilliant, I look forward to more hides from this CO.
Fave Point awarded on 31/3/2019, as promised in the log above.
