TFTC. Visiting My home town Tassie from Northern NSW. I wanted to leave a Trackable as far south in Australia as I could on my short 4day trip. Beautiful old cemetery.
Today husband and I are visiting Huonville and surrounds and then off for lunch at Home Hill for husbands early 65th Birthday lunch. We had a rather splendid day and fantastic meal. Luckily we had packed the TOTTs as the pole was required on more than one occasion. What a spot for a cemetery. We had a look round after finding this simple hide. Amazing spot. TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 8. After arriving in Hobart yesterday afternoon and having a nice walk before dinner, today my aim was to visit some counties to the south west of the city. I did not go onto the island, but I did the rest of the counties. It was not the most successful of starts to the day, but I reached the numbers I was hoping for and headed back into town where I went for a much longer walk around the middle of the city and docks to do about six sets of Labs. By the time that was all done I was looking forward to dinner and a long nights rest. This cemetery is very exposed and not as well looked after as some I have been to, but it was still nice to get to stop and find the cache here. Thanks for the cache Furrhan45973.12 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Geocaching HQ Lackey 2021 Amo Can A#447**Albida**
A quick stop and grab on the way back from Huonville to Hobart. This cemetery they just bury people standing up! Thanks for the cache.
Im having a couple of weeks off and Im spending the first few days down in the South of Tassie to find 8 different types, 25 of one type and also any LGAs that I come across to help fulfil a few of the challenges that Im working on.Also Im trying to keep my small streak going to beat my last streak of 67 days.Im always up for a wander through a country cemetery and as Im travelling around Tassie I have noticed that a lot of the cemeterys are located on church grounds. There was a lot of devastation with those fires and sadly the church had gone. Thanks Furrhan TFTC.
Found it accidentally while looking at the cemetery. Replaced where it was found. Trackable inside.
Heading back from a jaunt with a client today, collecting some caches. I've driven past this site countless times, and have never thought to stop and have a look, so thanks for placing the cache here. Quick find, cache is in good condition, and I dropped in a trackable TFTC
Parked at the top and walked down to GZ.
A quick find here today. I think I’ve found 3 caches in this cemetery now.

Caching around Tasmania. TFTC.
An interesting cemetery in a strange location, which probably wasn't, once.

Found on our tour of Tassie. What an incredible location and part of history! So different to Vic cemeteries! A fav for sure. Thanks for the cache
Checked the cache today and all is in good nick. Didn't have any SWAG to leave with me this time but there were a few bits and bobs in there anyway.
Drive past here all the time and today I had time to stop.
Easy find. Thank you.

On my way to the Mountain River road i was gonna grab this one on my way but turning around here wasn't recommended so i just saved it till when i was coming home.
Pulled up safely and wandered over to the cache. There is a lot of swag crammed in here for the GeoKids [^] I was after the log book and it was signed at 11:18 on Sat 11 Sept 2021.
All is good and dry within the cache re-hid as found.

After spending two nights at Port Huon, we stopped at this cache on our way home. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and well stocked contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Stopped by this cache this afternoon. All still seems to be in order. I replaced the missing pen and also added some more goodies. Thanks to all who've found it so far and good luck to all who come after!
I drive past this cemetery almost everyday but only today had an opportunity to stop.

On the way back to Hobart on a wet day we found your cache along the way in between showers.
A quick find up the slippery hill and made a quick find. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

The amount of times we've driven past here, usually late in the day, and said "one day, we'll stop and grab that cache" - well today we did! We were on the way back to Hobart after a 4wd trip across the Wellington Ranges and it was still early so we decided to stop and grab it. An interesting location and a quick find. Left a couple of trackables. TFTC!

This was the last cache found on our geo adventure the other day.
And a location definitely deserving of a geocache.
What a cool old cemetery.. they probably thought would remain quiet forever.
Thanks for hiding a cache here!

Found with MEMO on our way home from camping down Dover. I believe I have been here before chasing another now long gone cache., Always a great corner and fun getting back on the road.

Easy to find in a good area, have to watch for muggles driving by, box wet but log dry. TFTC
Made a quick stop here on my way past today. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. The lid wasn't on properly so the cache was full of water, and every bit of SWAG in the cache was gone. At least the cache itself was still acceptably hidden and good nick other than the dampness
I didn't have any goodies with me to leave this time but I'll definitely bring some next time.
I've emptied out all the water and given the cache a quick wipe out. The container was still in once piece and fortunately the bag with the log was intact so the log and the cache are both still usable.
I'll come back another day with more loot. Please remember to replace what you take though, folks, and to make sure the lid is on properly! Not only is it good manners, but it's also the rules of the game!
I've also edited the hint slightly to reflect the changes made due to the recent maintenance works in the area. The cache itself remains in the same location as before.

Finally pulled in to get this one. Lovely little cemetery. No doubt it's noiser than when the first person was laid to rest. Many thanks.
My first find after a 124 day covid19 slump! A good feeling. I didn't know there was once a church here. Thanks for thr learning and the cache!
Easy to find in the dark with a good torch and surprisingly quite spot with a highway beside it. TFTC
Took the side track and parked above the cemetery. A gentle wander down and hill and we quickly spotted the cache. Before we could grab it a car pulled up below us and we thought it may be some more geocachers. But it was three young women with an overheating car. They were a bit unsure how to handle the situation so we offer some help and got them safely on their way. It's always nice to help people out.
Great spot, thanks for giving us an excuse to stop here.

Have driven past many times. Always wondered. It was interesting to explore uphill where the church presumably was.

This morning we have joined an adventures Trip with a speedboat on the Huon River. As we had no plans for the afternoon, we decided to look for some caches on our way back to Hobart.
This was the first for today. It was Mum-Inegüxle doing the climbing-work to get a smiley for us.
Regards from Switzerland.

went to find this cache today drove up the track to the top of the cemetery , parked at the gate and started to walk to gz . noticed a jacket hanging on the big grave . i then saw a couple of bodies moving on the grave . geo partner said they were in the horizontal position !! oops ,lets come back later
3 hours later , refer previous post . all's quiet at gz now , no movement here now . all's good at gz Thanks Furrhan
Well catching up with logs going all the way back to last year is painful let me tell you!
I must have driven past this a number of times but today myself and the goose called in to have a look for this one, it turns out there is an access road to the cemetery just North of the corner so we had a look at that for once.
Well we managed to drive all the way in and had to walk down to the cache, would have been quicker to come up from the main road to be honest but this was more fun and let us investigate many of the graves.
As for the cache it was a quick find and we replaced as found after adding our names to the log.

I have often looked up at this graveyard from the highway below, even found a cache very near to this one. Today we actually drove in, along the narrow driveway and parked above all the graves. We stopped to read quite a few of the headstones and realized just how old they were!
The cache was obvious to spot as the numbers counted down so after waiting for the highway to be clear we pounced on it.
Thanks Furrhan

Found it when staying at Hobart, on a trip to Ida Bay, during my motorcycle holiday on this marvelous island.
Found this one today and took the trackable the road is not quiet atm it is like peak hour so will have to time the return of cache to perfection TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
The second cache I’ve found here - this one was a bit easier.
I must have disturbed some grave robbers (see picture) - or have the dead risen?
Thanks

Thanks for the cache. After a 4wd adventure with EeePees and AlbyDangles, RLD4963 and I were heading home and decided to grab another couple on the way home.
This was a nice quick park and grab on the way home, thanks.

out and about with 2 Rafas caching on a 4WD Trek from Lachlan to Judbury a simple find and easy to sign the log book TFTC TNBPLN, log dry, it made for a pleasant day on the way home we have some good photos.
Out and about picking up a few caches that have been published since our last visit in the area! What a great place, we had thought about placing a cache here.
Thanks for bringing us into this interesting area.

I have noticed this cemetery on the side of the hill each time I drove past, great to stop and find out a bit more about it and have a look around. It is rather forlorn and unloved but obviously had a lot of work done to it at one stage. TFTC.
Grabbed this one on the way home. I remember finding a cache at this cemetery a few years back. Thanks for the cache.
Been to this cemetery before for another cache. It still amazes me about the great view that the residents have.
Quickly found the cache as it was partly uncovered.

Today, on a bit of a whim, we decided to head south to Geeveston and try our luck at spotting some platypuses, picking up a few caches in the area while we were at it.
We'd received notification that this cache had been published a little while ago, but hadn't had an opportunity to make an attempt until today. As we were passing by on our way home, we thought we'd take a moment to stop by and see if we could make a smiley.
We first parked on the highway just south of the GZ, but thought that approaching from that angle would not provide a lot of cover from muggles driving past. Instead, we continued north and turned down the little dirt road leading to the cemetery entrance. As it turns out, it did provide some cover for the car, but didn't really help at all for keeping our caching activities concealed!
Fortunately enough the cache was easily found, although extracting it without being spotted by passing muggles turned out to be a challenge! We discovered some quite generous SWAG within, and our geo-daughter was delighted to be able to swap a few of our own items for some marbles.
We're not really big fans of caches within cemeteries (or cemeteries in general, really), but this was still a nice spot regardless.
Not a bad way to reach our 400 finds milestone!
TFTC!

Teamed up with ABear 71 today. So pleased that there was easy access to the GZ and somewhere to 'hide' while signing the log. So many cars whizzing by! Thanks for the cache.
We decided to head to Lower Longley to locate a new GCA puzzle and your GC cache that have appeared on the map since our last trip to the area. We have found caches here before so pleased to return for another smiley and to ensure this site is not forgotten. TFTC
Hello Furrhan thank you for the cache.
I was on my way back home from working for my niece so I stopped off and quickly found your cache.

Hi Frrhan
After doing the shopping in the worst Woolworths in Tasmania this morning; putting the shopping away it was time to relax and find some plastic
This was my closest cache; so this is where the find took place
Have found both GCA and GC caches here before and with predecessors buried here I don't mind visiting occasionally
The cache was found and Sainted at 1450 hours

Although she did beat me there.
Before I ever moved to Tasmania I had often passed this cemetery and always thought it should have a cache.
I did a bit of research with plans for a multi but never got around to it.
Great to see this piece of history highlighted. Thanks Furrhan

I love this cemetry. The two grave stones leaning towards each other always presented the most romantic ending to death for me. When I told S_38 about it he researched this place and found it it’s actually mother and son. It must be true love. I am very pleased this place has now a cache, we spoke about it, but it never happened.
