1/7/2023 Find #6214
Time to get my steps up again today. A check of the map and there was a circuit of caches over here that looked like a good choice for the distance I wanted today.
Parking the car in the car park near the cemetery I began my afternoon’s walk under some rather gloomy skies.
With no one near GZ I made a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache Que Sera.

12-Nov-22
Today, I joined [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and baby Warren with a bike ride in Boondall and Nudgee. We left our vehicle at Boondall Wetlands, and took the nice ride south-east towards Nudgee Road, stopping off at Anne Beasley's Lookout. We then completed the circuit by returning via the Gateway Motorway bike path, which totalled a distance of 13.3 km over a duration of 2:20 hr. We completed our day's adventure with a banh mi late lunch, and a stop at Geebung Treasure Trove.

This geocache took a while to find, as we arrived right when a Muggle cyclist was taking a rest and stretching. We tried to search the area without arousing any suspicion, and after 5-7 min, he continued on his way. We then discovered that his bike was on the strategic pole that the cache was hidden on. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and another clue for this RIDING bonus was noted. Thanks Que Sera for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

08-Oct-22
Parked at the Boondal Wetlands, jumped on the scooters and headed out along the Gateway bike path for a day of caching down to Nudgee. This was the fifth stop and we were very happy to rest up a bit here, refill the water bottles and watch the world drive by. After a bit of a rest, a short search ensued and the cache was quickly spotted and the logbook signed Smile. TNLNSL TFTC Smile.

Over the last year also, on our various trips to Nudgee, we have noticed this one.
We have driven past it. As we have driven past it we have looked at GZ across the fence line and knew there was something to find here. We also knew we would have to wait until we were either on our bicycles or on foot.
Fasten forward to today, and although this series definitely warrants the bike, we were on foot and getting some much needed leg exercise after a week in the office. The weather was good for this and it felt like a happy time to be out walking.
Winter in Brisbane is pretty comfortable and not to be missed for some great door activities.
This one took a little bit of searching as there were a few options, however we were very happy to add our name to the log here.
Thanks Que Sera. We had a lot of fun today.

Out and about with geopup after work to grab my cache for the day.
A quick find at gz.
Log was wet, I managed to sign it. Unfortunately I didn't have any spares with me.

Drove past again yesterday and looked at this one. When I had to go back to the airport today I finally stopped.
Had it all to myself! The log is quite wet, did not unfold it but managed to mark it on the outside without causing too much damage.

Back on the bike today. I am ok on the flat but those hilly bits do tax me. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Que Sera. All good with this cache.

I had parked on the other side of the motorway and took the stroll over the bridge to get to the search area. I arrived just as a cyclist pulled up for a break. I started chatting to him and it looked like it might be a long chat so I told him what I was doing and then started my search. It didn't take long to locate and I thinnk I impressed the muggle

Having found some of this series before, I was pleased to see it was the same sort of hide and therefore made a quick find, albeit in the last spot you could possibly look for the geocache. We took advantage of the wind, water and shade to enjoy a pleasant respite.

25-Jun-20
Out early this morning to continue a couple of challenges which are, a traditional a day and a cache a day. Today I was running early to meet team tyrrell to go kayaking. So a short detour was in order to grab this one.
I parked up on the footpath as no one is around at this time of the morning. It was a short walk to GZ and a quick find as I’ve seen this one before. It was a little early for a drink but the wine rack was impressive. With the log signed and clue obtained, the cache was replaced as found and I was off down the road for my kayaking adventure.
Thank you for placing this one here, an easy find and I look forward to completing the series.

I decided for a lunch time bike ride along the well established trails close to my new home to collect some smileys. It surprised me how many bikers are around here on a Monday 12pm exercise...

Fifth find today while out and about on my bicycle Very Happy. This one was a very quick find - arriving at GZ I guessed what I might be looking for, and spotted it on the second likely spot. I've found a few of these now Smile I did my thing quickly, recorded the clue, signed the log, returned the cache, and spun around to head towards Nudgee and find a few more. It was a beautiful day to be out and about getting some (socially distant) exercise - and I wasn't the only person who thought that, given the number of people on the path today.

Who doesn’t love an extra day added to the weekend? We tossed and turned about what to do today and in the end we decided we wanted to do a bike ride to get some exercise and some caches as well.

We parked at Boondall train station and set off from there. Rather than come early and beat the heat, we stayed in bed instead and we weren’t beating the heat now, that’ll teach us. We pushed on knowing the pool would be waiting for us as soon as we got home. We managed to find all the caches and the clues to give us the final, but oh no, we couldn’t find the final!!! We searched everywhere and turning up with nothing but thin air we sent an SOS to the CO, who responded to us in record time. She kindly let us log it as it seems like it has disappeared. We really enjoyed the ride and the caches out here. What a great country we live in that we get bikeways built for us like this. Awesome series.

On a mission to check out some outdoor venues for an upcoming family gathering & just as we turned south for home a few notifications started coming through.
A quick trip to a FTF not too far away then a few more smilies before heading for home. Smile

Our last for today & it was MR VC who took the short stroll to GZ where a few minutes were spent eliminating the 'wrong' spots before a 'forehead slap' moment delivered the cache.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Over the dark side of town for the CITO Event SO before it began I had to find a cache and this one was nearby. I am severely vertically challenged so had difficulty retrieving the cache, I think my toes are mow square and my arms and legs have grown longer. I improvised making a retrieval tool and was soon signing the log. Now off to the CITO. TFTC

15-Sep-19
Out again with Grannysmith1947 and Miss Millie. We pickup few caches before the Cito. There was a lot geocacher at the Cito. Pull out a lot of bag of rubbish. And after the Cito pickup a few more.

We had a good day out.

Sorry for the generic post

As we passed this one the shelter was in use, so rather than stop and awkwardly wait, we carried on and picked it up on the return trip. This was an easy spot and grab having found a similar hide at a previous cache in this series. As with then, I managed to park my bike right next to it Smile. We had a nice spot of afternoon tea here before heading back.

Log signed at 14:26 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **Que Sera**. This log is trackable.

What a great spot for a tollway!! The amount of pedal power passing this pit stop could make me a rich person. Alas, the way the election went it is unlikely my vision to a toll way here wouldn't float so I sat everytime a mugg-cyclist went past. So much so I was sanding down the wooden bench. Then when I'd had a clear run, I'd look down, up, further up, around and so on totaling missing the obvious!!

With the cache in hand, took my last seat of frustration to sign the log. Replaced as found then headed back to the car for the trip home. Will come back at some stage with two wheels to collect the rest of the series. Thanks for setting up the series Que Sera.

19-May-19
Had a limited amount of time to smash out a few of these before sundown - nailed it!
I do make time for a bit of recreational riding, and am always happy to have a buddy willing to come. We grabbed this one quick smart and headed north. Big Grin

This afternoon T-Tech and I went for a bike ride on the new Gateway North bike track [^] We considered parking at North Boondall train station, but decided to have a look at the start of the track a little further north on Blackwood Road. Not a lot of parking here, certainly, but we were the only car so opted to start our ride here. We collected all 8 of this CO's new caches along the way, in a ride of about 16kms in 2.5 hours.

A bit of hill to this one! The headwind along here had made for a harder than expected pedal. T-Tech spied the container as he pulled up. Clue noted. TFTC, Que Sera.

Before riding on for a few more caches, we returned back to the car to put some sunscreen on and grab a can of soft drink out of the fridge. We also needed a quick break from all the strange shapes wrapped in lycra we had been riding past.

The bike path was really getting hammered today and at times all you could see were groups of cyclists. I surprised we were allowed to even ride knowing we were donning denim shorts and tee-shirts. How did we even get past the dress code?

It got me to thinking that most of these people in lycra were actually out here to be “seen” and not to enjoy a ride. If they weren’t flashing their brand name, bulge or crack then they were clearly just pretenders like us. Who knew the sport of cycling was so competitive and filled with people all trying to win the highly coveted DikHed award. tftc

20-Apr-19
On the way to work I stopped off here to collect another smiley for my map and the extra info in the cache.
It didn't take long to find the beasty and leave my scribble on the log.

This new section south of here is a nice short cut. Lots of people out on the path on a Saturday and a public holiday too.

I had to wait for a cyclist to leave the pit stop. His bike was right at GZ. Lucky he had just stopped to fill his bottle and left quickly. Smile

Out for a little spin on the bike and encouraging Slow Puncture ( Mrs) to smell the roses while peddling around. T

These new cycling themed caches were the main target and we enjoyed discovering new pathways . ( Well maybe I did take a sneak peek through open fences earlier in the year) Cool

Thursday. Another great cache hide and Ruzzelz and I soon had the cache in hand. Another crafty container for the area. There certainly are a lot of people along this area! Took note of the clue and signed the log.

This was the 8th of 12 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Que Sera***, for showing us this place. Smile

I was 40 minutes north at Woodford drinking ️ when this cache was published and ready to head back to Brissy. Heavy traffic driving south which was puzzling as isn’t everyone leaving town for the school hols Overshot GZ and turned back and helped myself to parking in the adjacent establishment ️ Scooted over to GZ and spent the next five minutes overlooking the obvious. Then sat and opened the logbook with no expectation of a clean sheet of paper.

More than happy to see Nikid1’s name scrawled above mine Replaced the cache with care and wandered across to the carpark where a bloke was driving a buggy onto a trailer. Gave a moment’s thought to looking for the other newly published caches but decided to keep heading south. Tired but had a lovely day out and thrilled with this bonus cache.

TFTC Que Sera A FAVE point for a cool location.
