Logs
Only a single log since my last visit 2 years ago. All good here. Have another go.
As I was nearby today with my class I checked on this one.
All good here.
Happy hunting.

Happy hunting.
We have been here several times over a couple of visits to Townsville, but on the other ocassions, it was at the end of our days caching and maybe fatigue was setting in as we always left empty handed.
In preperation, we contacted the CO for a hint. One was given, although it was still going to be a difficult job. Arrived at the bottom of the steps with the bikes, removed all our riding gear and I grabbed the GPSr and started walking up. As we approached the 3mtr mark, I had Mrs Snakepitter stop there as this was the spot where we were the last time, and I continued on, as the GPSr counted down to zero. I sat down, put my hand in and there it was, all done within 30 sec. Not sure if it was because of the PAF, or the GPSr just was spot on on this ocassion.
None the less a now a
Thanks burgo78 for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 12888,
This is our 2nd attempt to find this one. Read all the logs hoping to get a hint but it wasn't to be.
Thanks
Thanks
Searched around GZ for some time, but still unable to locate. our second atempt here and still walked away empty
* I am amazed that this one doesn’t have any favourite points. Maybe they all listened when greencordial told them not to give you any, but judging by the increase over the weekend, it seems one of two of the visitors to Townsville forgot about that rule. She she might have to get on to Groundspeak to implement it officially and get the GPS Maze organisers to list that rule as Number 9 instead.
Tricky Tricky Tricky with all that leaf litter collecting there. A lovely spot with a top view while being neither up or down. *

It was a slow day today, easing willis007 back into caching was the goal and that lasted all of two caches. Then we were off racing along. We had a collection of finds to get consisting of, some paddling, some tree climbs, some bike riding and some walking. We headed off to the boat ramp along the ross river and started with a paddle but that didn’t go to well as the boats were just a buzz today. So we decided to just bike along and get some of the RRPT caches in this area. We then rode up to the caches in south beck drive for a 10 k bike ride, that us, easing back in.
Some great caches and some good times, thanks for the hides. Logs were signed on all and caches replaced as found, thanks.

Day 2 in Townsville. Started the day collecting caches along the lovely Ross River.
We continued as far as we could out this way and made it to here. After surveying the area I thought we would be here for a quite a while. With a bouncing gps it was hard to find the right spot to search so I started a methodical approach. Not too long after the prize was found! Great hide here.
Names in the log, off to the next one. Really enjoying this beautiful area today.
Thanks burgo78 for placing the cache here.

Day 6 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was mostly Ross River Power Trail caches by bike. This morning Albida33 and I joined forces to tackle the section from the Riverway lagoons heading upstream. This one proved too elusive in the time we had available. Will be back for another look when it is cooler.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 6. Townsville Mega section Day 6. For today I started caching with TikvaNZ for a section of the RRPT. I was on my e-scooter and we had a great time out in the sun visiting interesting locations along the river, some were a bit to much for us today. After lunch I caught up with Kittly Katch, Joolay, Isopeda and Barb2e for some pole caching. Sometimes this was quite a challenge. The day ended with a trip back to Ross River for a pre Mega dinner with heaps of people I have not seen for ages. A great way to get the Easter weekend started.
We gave this a good go, but it beat us. I am happy to hear it is there somewhere, maybe I'll try again when th next Mega is in Townsville ...
Thanks.

Too many muggles about to have a serious hunt here, but I did spend enough time to justify a DNF log. On arrival at GZ, what I saw gave me horror flashbacks to the search for the as-yet unfound "Eagle Rock" cache in Werribee Vic (GC5XNK4). But I'll be back I guess
Cache is here and in place. I even found it (miracles do happen). I guess I can tick this one off as a D/T filled? Well done greencordial. Yes. I deserve that well done.
No luck for this one for us today. search for far too long for this one, as it was the last of the day. A mixed feelings having to leave this one as a DNF
Unfortunately didn't have a pen on us so were unable to log. Will come back to log soon
Found both original and current one 100% respect for the time and money put into them thank you
I finally got it on the second visit! The coordinates were indeed approximately right, and as the hint says no detours are needed.
I did this cache just after a nearby paddle caching event and the CO saw me searching up and down the stairs. After a while he came over, told me that before adopting this cache it took him 4 tries and then he thankfully ended my misery by telling me which locations to rule out. Thank you very much. It’s indeed an evil little hide as you would expect.

TFTC (4th time lucky )
Words cannot describe how good it feels to avenge this multiple DNF. Found geocache with MissCharlieBear this warm September morning, in full sun, but remaining calm & working strategically i got to the prize quite quickly today. Awesome hide!!

TFTC Mr burgo78 My mum skatierocks found it today, but I helped to hide it back. I called this geocache the “tiger cache” ~ I liked it very much!
DNF I didn’t find this cache with my mum skatierocks... we looked everywhere but I wanted to find it. “Maybe a dinosaur ate it”
DNF MissCharlieBear & I cannot locate this Geocache. It’s got me thinking I’ve got rocks in my head!!
DNF this one again after a good look, even with the additional help from cachers HansandLinda. This one seems rocky to me!! You need the eye of a tiger !!
DNF but grass/weed overgrowth threw me off as GZ was in that direction... however checked some potential caches (based on hint) with geo-dog & geo-munchkins in tow... this will be one to return to. We will be back
I was going to leave off this as i found the original on my 3rd visit by narrowing it down with hints from 3 separate logs but checked out the attributes and had to take another step on the way to 81. Thanks for the {FTF}. Nice view of the river from here. Picked up the TB
