Last before turning around. Easy find and replaced same
A final hit out in July after deliberately breaking my teen-length streak, no way was I going to manage what was needed for the difficult level anyway. Headed out for my own PT in the car to the Rasmussen area for a few along the riverside walkway. Seven finds this evening as the day would down, but the temperature remained nice and warm. Thanks to the COs.

This one was missing so it's now been replaced.
Only a few steps from the path and no long grass.
Happy hunting.

Please do not log a Needs Archiving when you cannot find a cache.
Will monitor this one but bushes being too high is not a reason to archive.

As I hadn’t grabbed todays daily traditional I thought I’d exhaust another close by one and looked for this. Easy enough find as its name suggests. Easier finding than getting out of the hide. FacePocket dialled too and shared the find with Bug. Signed and headed off to grab the key cache key TB nearby
Spending the day cycling the river trail. A big difference in temperature where the path is near the road to when it's closer to the river. A quick find here. TFTC GeocachingTownsville.
With a goal of collecting 150 caches in a day, our plan was to tackle both geoarts, hit the RRPT and collect some other caches in between. An early start was in order to achieve this goal before getting ready for the Trivia night at the MEGA.
A huge thank you to all the COs for preparing and placing the caches we collected today, the variety of hide locations, types and containers was fantastic.

The day had come; the plan to get 150 caches (excluding labs) in a day for another challenge was here. The planning and prep started two months ago when I was at the Wangaratta mega. With the recent zoom events for puzzle solving a big help and the Geoarts of the saint and the book catering for two thirds of the task, it was just a matter of finding 50 more caches so as I was able to complete. Today I had Willis007 with me; we picked on a few quick easy finds as we were passing and motoring between arts. We then grabbed the bikes and went for a ride around along the Ross river parkway or is that power trail.
The Geoarts were found easy and thank you. The book art did slow us down a little with some hides a little tuff to find. the power trail was fun some good caches and some that also slowed us down. However, by the end of the day we were done and the challenge completed.
Thanks to my caching buddies, the CO’s for the caches and the great areas I got to see today.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 6. Townsville Mega section Day 6. For today I started caching with TikvaNZ for a section of the RRPT. I was on my e-scooter and we had a great time out in the sun visiting interesting locations along the river, some were a bit to much for us today. After lunch I caught up with Kittly Katch, Joolay, Isopeda and Barb2e for some pole caching. Sometimes this was quite a challenge. The day ended with a trip back to Ross River for a pre Mega dinner with heaps of people I have not seen for ages. A great way to get the Easter weekend started.
Thanks for the cache GeocachingTownsville

Day 6 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was mostly Ross River Power Trail caches by bike. This morning Albida33 and I joined forces to tackle the section from the Riverway lagoons heading upstream. Cache easily found in good condition. TFTC.

26/12/21 Continue RRPT caches out with missus on scooters. TFTC SL Up visiting from Mackay and staying near Lakes.
Out walking the river with the fam ans the dog. Nice quick step off the path to find.
We had a very mixed day out caching today. We decided to head back to the trails on the Ross River and work our way further south as well as take some side diversions to collect additional caches and pre-solved puzzles. We found a variety of hides and encountered some differing types of caches as well and had a few DNFs.
The tails are on well defined and surfaced track so are great for bike riding. And no real hills! A real bonus.
The day started coolish and humid, good for riding, but once we reached the dam wall trail it began to appear a bit bleak. We pressed on regardless, but only got half way through before the heavens opened and it began to rain quite heavily. Very unusual for this time of year the locals tell us!
We decided to abandon the trail at this time and returned to the car getting thoroughly soaked by the time we got there. At least we weren't cold though.
Hopefully weather permitting we will be able to return and complete the series before we move on.
Our thanks to the local COs for their work on developing the caches. It is most appreciated.
Found after tromping around. Overgrown helping the camouflage. Container base broken.
Quick spotted but cache is worn out need replace new cache got signed and returned same place TFRC
I’m still kicking
GeocachingTSV is such a good geocacher. Should be like more local cachers. People like Burgo put too many puzzles that turn me cross eyed.

Day 5 Townsville.
Another day on the bikes doing the RRPT with the Snakepitters.
A mixed bag of hides, some very difficult ones. A nice ride along the river side.
Thanks for placing this amazing series GeocachingTownsville

TFTC. The weather had turned a little and put paid to plans to be out on the river. Instead I took the geo-mobile to walk along the path from the Arts Precinct. Luckily it did not rain but it did drizzle on and off. Got muggles out of a couple but still ended with 7 trad and a puzzle cache. On my own a good walk of around 4K. Thanks to the cache owners for a good couple of hours entertainment. For the most part the caches were relatively quick finds.
Another quick find in the late morning, signed and replaced with a gap in the passing traffic, thanks again Geocaching Townsville
Initially thought cache search required entering tall overgrown bush area. Fortunately it was elsewhere. Thank you Townsville Geocaching for restoring cache trail for the benefit of the geo caching community.
TFTC ~ signed logbook!! Placed George & his bike in cache for trinket for geo- munchkins
Quick find after school with master Braxx. The young fella thought this was a very cool find.
Found with geokid LJB54.
Came upon this one quite quickly after the hint from the CO. Was a little dubious once arriving at GZ and the longish grass but a quick grab once prodding around to make sure no reptilian friends had not made it their home.

Happy to see the RRPT growing.
