A nice quick find at a very familiar place. Have camped out here several times in the last forty years. Thanks for bringing me back
Long day searching at Wog Wog, when finished some time left for a quick detour and three caches.Lovely area!TFTC Wilbert67
A trip out to the river to find a series of three TE caches. Pretty good quality dirt roads for most of the way once of the Kings Hwy - even saw an echidna crossing the road on the way in, and a red-bellied black snake crossing it on the way out.Not too far from 'Boro Backwater' and a deserted campground today, although on the way out I passed a couple of utes with rooftops tents arriving. Glad I wasn't staying here, the strong wind was whipping up lots of sand. I parked about 15m from GZ and ambled across to make a very quick find at GZ; all good with cache and log. The river and associated beach look nice (despite the marks from people doing circle work in the sand); the campground and portaloos seem a bit depressing. Thanks, Tankengine!
Camped here Australia Day weekend, never again on a long weekend.Magnificent area, great campsites, good amenities.Pity about the disrespectful yobs in their 4x4s and motor bikes. Also watch out for broken glass.TFTC
Camping here for the first time for our own long weekend. With only 3 other groups in the whole campground, it was a peaceful break. It's a top spot, we will be back!
I was happy to find a geocache here.
Checked a few posts before honing in on the right one. Love the attachment, favourite point.
Thanks for the cache

Out with Tankengine to do a little cache maintenance on the way to the coast.
No one here today camping. The long grass was a little wet but it was only 10m from the fence and an easy step over the fence. Cache found all good.
Such a good spot to see. The river is so high that the crossing is completed flooded. I may have slipped over in the mud here, but no photos were taken to prove it, so really it didn’t happen Tftc!!!

Extremely over grown and no chance of finding it even with an empty camp site
With people camped nearby, and long grass, we were only able to have a quick look, but no success.
I did not find the cache unfortunately. The GPS was a bit jumpy in the area, but the hint really narrows down the possible options. I wonder if the cache has been missing for some time now as the lack of recent logs suggests.
Anyway, an interesting area for a quiet camping, quite a few campers though, and a perfect swimming spot. The crossing gives a sense of adventure.

We took a different way home to pick up a couple of extras.
What a great area, there’s a camp set up by done one here and it looks long term.
Quick find once at GZ. TFTC

18,664. Headed out with GSC2000 to continue the Streak Week.
Headed out to grab these fairly remote remote caches. It was a fun drive along a pretty good road to near GZ. Then it was a short walk in for a quick find. Looks like an interesting camp ground - perhaps a bit sandy for me.
Thanks Tankengine !!

First time to this campsite. A bit of a hidden gem. Always great to have a cache or two near camp! TFTC
What a lovely spot ! We took the long way to the cache and walked along the river beach as the sun dipped low on the horizon, amazing how clear and clean the water looked ️
Not sure the big long metal snake is keeping out the monster trucks, but glad to say it makes a good structure to attach a cache to... reaching down to grab the cache hoping a didn't pull a real one .
Thanks for the detour out this way, we will definitely have to revisit in the warmer months.

THIS CACHE
This cache was found in a fabulous part of country NSW. It has a WOW factor for the location, the vast sandy beaches and the beautiful Shoalhaven River flowing through this lovely forest. Really glad that our 2WD could make it over the water crossing on this occasion. There were many camper vans setting up for the long weekend. This is a little gem 'hidden' away. Worth a favourite point for showing us a perfect place to come again not far off Nerriga Road down Stewarts Crossing Road. TFTC Tankengine.
OUR DAY
A late morning exit from home to visit a bit of country NSW. What better way to go by allowing a few well placed caches to determine the circuit the car should follow. That sorted we left not expecting to find all the caches but at least see a bit of new country that we always bypass on our way to the coast. We won on both accounts with fantastic sunny warm winter weather all the way. Another great day in retirement.

A nice spot that I've been meaning to explore for years. The placing of a cache got me to come out here. Looks like a good spot to camp.

This cache came out whilst we were driving to the BBQ at Henry Rolland park so dismissed them and continued on our route. We got the the event and stayed at the event for about 45 minutes before eventually deciding to head off before the raffle or talks started. With these still unfound we thought why not!
Grabbed this p&g first, and decided to back-track afterwards for the one up the hill in Kowen Forest.

Ahhhh why not, always lots of fun doing a late night caching run for a Tankengine FTF. If it was a CO we hadn't of known we probably wouldn't have made this long drive out here!
50km's of dirt road was certainly an interesting experience in the dark however. It was 25km's each way from the bitumen. This is the shortest route, but with the most dirt. We didn't want to risk the river crossing which I spotted on the map as it looked like it could be dodgy, and after finding the cache near the crossing we decided we made the right decision as even though the water was quite low, there was still a decent stream over the road that we didn't want to risk taking a small 2WD over at 10pm in the dark!
The highlight of the dirt road was seeing a HUGE dark shadow coming up on the road. The hair raised on both our necks as we approached, there was no way it was a kangaroo and it looked like either a person standing on the road or a yowie! Turns out it was a small sized horse when it turned the other way! Why there was a horse in the middle of the road, who knows! We also saw plenty of other Aussie wildlife, all the kinds you would expect in the country after dark.
We were also impressed about the number of people camping at the campgrounds at the second cache, none of them seemed to bat an eye at us however and thankfully the cache was a safe distance away from anyway campers, however the nearby tyre marks in the sand suggest they do camp right near GZ occasionally!
Thanks Tankengine! Great fun and both caches found quickly Awesome adventure!
